초록

봄철에 우리나라에 날아오는 황사는 발원지가 중국 고비 사막, 황하강 상류 및 타클라마칸 사막으로 알려져 있다. 그리고 최근에는 해마다 중국에서 여의도의 6배 정도의 면적이 사막화되어 피해가 심화되고 있고, 바람의 방향도 다양하여 피해 대상국도 대한민국과 일본과 같은 극동아시아 뿐만 아니라 중앙아시아까지도 확대되고 있다. 이 때문에 UN에서는 주변국들의 협조로 사막의 산림녹화 등에 힘쓰고 있으나 커다란 효과를 나타내지 못하고 있는 실정이다. (중략)
