Design of Turbo Code Interleaver Using Union Bound

Abstract
Given the frame size and constituent encoders, interleaver plays a central role in a turbo code performance. Interleaver should be designed to generate a heavy weight codeword in the second encoder if the first encoder generates a low weight codeword.
