  • In this paper, we proposed the robust control scheme for a class of nonlinear dynamical systems using output feedback linearization method. The presented control scheme is based on the VSS. We assume that the nonlinear dynamical system is minimum phase, the relative degree of the system is r<n and zero dynamics is stable. It is also shown that the global asymtotically stability is guaranted. And we verified that the proposed control scheme Is the feasible through a computer simulation.

  • The robust output tracking control problem of general nonlinear MIMO systems is discussed. The robustness against parameter uncertainties is considered. In this paper, we proposed the robust output tracking control scheme for a class of MIMO nonlinear dynamical systems using output feedback linearization method. The presented control scheme is based on the VSS. We assume that the nonlinear dynamical system is minimum phase, the relative degree of the system is r$_{1}$+r$_{2}$+…r$_{m}$$\leq$ n and zero dynamics is stable. It is shown that the outputs of the closed-loop system asymptotically track given output trajectories despite the uncertainties while maintaining the boundedness of all signals inside the loop. And we verified that the proposed control scheme is then applied to the control of a two degree of freedom (DOF) robotic manipulator with payload.d.

  • In this paper, a zero-dimensional mathematical formulation for rapid and explosive decompression analyses of pressurized aircraft is developed. Air flows between two compartments and between the damaged compartment and external ambient are modeled by assuming an adiabatic, reversible transformation. Both supercritical and subcritical decompressions are considered, and the attention focuses on intercompartment venting systems. In particular, passive and active vents are addressed, and mathematical models of both swinging and translational blowout panels are provided. A numerical procedure based on an explicit Euler integration scheme is also discussed for multi-compartment aircraft analysis. Various numerical solutions are presented, which highlight the importance of considering the opening dynamics of blowout panels. The comparisons with the results from the literature demonstrate the validity of the proposed methodology, which can be also applied, with no lack of accuracy, to the decompression analysis of spacecraft.

  • Two- and three-dimensional turbulent airflows in a 9-degrees-bent channel are studied numerically. The inner surfaces of upper and lower walls are parallel to each other upstream and downstream of the bend section. The free stream is supersonic, whereas the flow at the channel exit is either supersonic or subsonic depending on the given backpressure. Solutions of the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations are obtained with a finite-volume solver ANSYS CFX. The solutions reveal instability of formed shock waves and a flow hysteresis in considerable bands of the free-stream Mach number at zero and negative angles of attack. The instability is caused by an interaction of shocks with the expansion flow formed over the convex bend of lower wall.

  • This study proposed a new approach to impliment a robusut control of comsumer-friendly flexible manipulator with five joint for untact working in filed work-site. The output redefinition approach was used to overcome the non minimum phase characteristic of the system. The new output is defined so that the zero dynamics related to this output are stable. The control strategy is based on an computed torque method which is applicable to a class of time-invariamt phase linear systems whose uncertainties appear in output loop stable. The controller is composed of a stabilizing joint controller and an output redefinition tracking controller. Experimental results are also presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

  • This paper estimates the expectation-augmented Phillips curve, which explains inflation dynamics, in Korea. The phenomenon of low inflation in Korea has been going on for quite some time, in particular since 2012. During the Covid-19 crisis, due to low inflation expectations the operation of monetary policy was limited as the base rate approached the zero lower bound. The main objective of this paper is to estimate where and how tightly inflation expectations are anchored. It was found that long-term inflation expectations fell to around 1%, falling short of the inflation target, and that inflation expectations are strongly anchored to long-term expectations, which implies that the low inflation phenomenon is likely to extend into the future. The results also imply that even if inflation fluctuates due to temporary disturbances, it may converge to a level below the inflation target. The slight rebound of long-term expectations during the Covid-19 crisis suggests that the aggressive monetary policy may have contributed to improving economic agents' beliefs about the commitment of monetary authorities to inflation stability. This may also help long-term expectations gradually to approach the inflation target.

  • An advancing cutting roof for gob-side entry retaining with no-pillar mining under specific geological conditions is more conducive to the safe and efficient production in a coalmine. This method is being promoted for use in a large number of coalmines because it has many advantages compared to the retaining method with an artificial filling wall as the gateway side filling body. In order to observe the inner structure of the gateway cutting roof and understand its stability mechanism, an equivalent material simulation experiment for a coalmine with complex geological conditions was carried out in this study. The results show that a "self-stabilization bearing structure" equilibrium model was found after the cutting roof caving when the cut line deviation angle was unequal to zero and the cut height was greater than the mining height, and the caving roof rock was hard without damage. The model showed that its stability was mainly controlled by two key blocks. Furthermore, in order to determine the optimal parameters of the cut height and the cut line deviation angle for the cutting roof of the retaining gateway, an in-depth analysis with theoretical mechanics and mine rock mechanics of the model was performed, and the relationship between the roof balance control force and the cut height and cut line deviation angle was solved. It was found that the selection of the values of the cut height and the cut line deviation angle had to conform to a certain principle that it should not only utilize the support force provided by the coal wall and the contact surface of the two key blocks but also prevent the failure of the coal wall and the contact surface.

  • Recently, industrial systems are becoming quicker and lighter to enable the reduction of energy consumption and increase productivity. So the latest systems are more flexible and rapid than the previous systems. But, with this improvement, another problem has emerged, such as the increase in residual vibration when a system is started or stopped. The input shaper is a command generation method that can remove residual vibration. It can provide a solution to the problem of residual vibration in industrial systems. However, it is difficult to generate the input shaper in high order systems, such as a typical industrial system because the input shaper is induced from the system's vibration characteristics. This study focused on the extra insensitivity shaper that can compensate for the system's modeling error such as input dynamics, and the high order's system affection. A genetic algorithm was deployed to adjust a vibration limitation for the extra insensitivity of the input shaper. A plant is a low damping system that includes one zero and a pole. The fitness functions are an error signal of the system's response with normalized frequency variations. Verification of the suggested system is satisfied by comparison between the zero vibration derivative input shaper's response and the suggested one.

  • The practical design methodology of a three-phase dual active bridge (3ph-DAB) converter applied to low voltage direct current (LVDC) applications is proposed by using a mathematical model based on the steady-state operation. An analysis of the small-signal model (SSM) is important for the design of a proper controller to improve the stability and dynamics of the converter. The proposed lead-lag controller for the 3ph-DAB converter is designed with a simplified SSM analysis including an equivalent series resistor (ESR) for the output capacitor. The proposed controller can compensate the effects of the ESR zero of the output capacitor in the control-to-output voltage transfer function that can cause high-frequency noises. In addition, the performance of the power converter can be improved by using a controller designed by a SSM analysis without additional cost. The accuracy of the simplified SSM including the ESR zero of the output capacitor is verified by simulation software (PSIM). The design methodology of the 3ph-DAB converter and the performance of the proposed controller are verified by experimental results obtained with a 5-kW prototype 3ph-DAB converter.
