구미(龜尾)의 지역성 변화에 대한 세계체제론적 접근 (World-Systems Analysis on the Changing Characteristics of the Kumi Region)

  • 본 연구는 최근에 지리학에서 새로운 지역연구 방법론으로 등장하고 있는 세계체제론적 지역지리학에 의하여 특정한 지방(locality)인 구미지역을 사례로 경험적인 지역연구를 시도하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 자본주의 세계체제에 편입된 한국자본주의의 발달시기를 일제식민기, 해방후 혼란기, 경제발전기 등으로 구분하고, 각 시기에 따른 구미지역의 경제적 특성과 공간구조적 특성에 대한 분석을 통해 그 지역성 변화를 밝히려고 하였다. 구미지역도 일제식민기와 해방후 혼란기에는 한국사회와 마찬가지로 세계경제의 주변지대에 속하면서 농업을 주된 산업으로 하고 있었다. 이에 따라 이 시기에는 지역의 공간구조도 도시가 형성 되지 않은 농업사회적 구조를 이루고 있었다. 그러나 경제재발기에 들어와서는 구미지역도 한국의 산업화정책에 포함됨으로서 산업지역(구미공단 조성)으로 변모돼 세계경제의 반주변지대로 발전한다. 이와 함께 공간구조도 산업이 입지한 지역(도시)과 그렇지 않은 지역(농촌)간의 불균등발전이 심화된 중심-주변의 공간구조로 변화되었다. 세계체제론적 지역지리학은 특정 지방(소지역)의 지역성 변화를 거시적인 세계적 맥락(세계자본주의)에서 경제적(산업적) 특성 뿐만 아니라 공간구조적 특성도 설명할 수 있다. 따라서 세계체제론적 지역지리학은 지역연구에 유용한 지리학적 방법론으로서 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • This study attempted to introduce Fei-Ranis's agricultural development theory and discuss its problem for the rural development of less developed world. Fei-Ranis systematized the development process of Western European economy on the ground of dualism. They divided the process into 4 stages by the concept of 'mode of operation'. Paticularly, they consider agrarian mercantilism as take-off stage and its development were achieved by the increase of trade margin and labor productivity. Especially, they thought that only agricultural revolution through the diffusion of internal exchange economy and construction of tree-star system can accomplish favorable transition to industrial capitalism. In order to promote this agricultural development, less developed world must abolish short-run agricultural policy and propel 'learning by the contact' strategy through 'tree-star system' and 'parellel development.' In reality, it was problematic that the contemporary less developed world is trying, in the course of a few decades, to imitate Western European experience with development over the last four centuries. But Fei-Ranis ignored qualitative aspects of agricultural development by tree-star system and also it is criticized that they considered agricultural development process of less developed world follows only that of Western European classical process.

지능형 자율운항시스템 지원을 위한 정보 관리 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Information Management System Support for the Intelligent Autonomous Navigation Systems)

  • 최근 들어 급증하고 있는 해양사고의 주요 원인은 인간의 수행 오류에 기인하고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 디지털 선박의 구축, 선박 정보의 모니터링 시스템 등의 다양한 연구가 진행되었다. 그러나 선박의 안전한 항해를 위해 다양한 형태의 대량 정보를 효율적으로 저장하고, 이용하고, 관리하는 시스템에 대한 연구가 미흡하다. 본 논문은 지능형 자율운항시스템의 아키텍쳐인 RVC 지능시스템 모델을 기반으로 하는 VWS(Virtual World System)을 제안한다. VWS는 선박의 안전 항해에 필요한 모든 정보를 저장하고 지능형 자율운항시스템의 부시스템에 정보를 서비스한다. VWS는 특정 문제 영역을 표현하기 위하여 토폴로지 데이터베이스를 이용하고, 실시간 처리 특성을 반영하기 위하여 스케줄링을 도입하였다. 또한 분산 처리 특성을 반영하기 위하여 가상세계 API를 정의하였다. 본 논문에서는 설계된 VWS를 지능형 선박 자율운항시스템에 장착하고 시뮬레이션을 통하여 그 효율성을 입증해 보였다.
