  • RT Per has been known as a close binary of which the orbital period has unpredictably varied so far. Although there are no agreements with the working mechanism for the changes of the period, two interpretations have been suggested and waiting for to be tested: 1) light-time effects due to the unseen 3rd and 4rd bodies (Panchatsaram 1981), 2) Abrupt period-changes, due to internal variations of the system (e.g. mass transfer or mass loss) superimposing to the light-time effect by a 3rd body (Frieboes-Conde & Herczeg 1973). In the point of view that the former interprepation models could predict the behavior of the changes of the orbital period theoretically, we checked whether the recent observed times of minimum lights follow the perdictions by the first model or not. We confirmed that the observed times of minimum lights have followed the variations calculated by the light-times effects due to the 3rd and 4rd bodies suggested by Panchatsatam. In this paper a total of 626 times of minimum lights were reanalyzed in terms of the light-time effects by the 3rd and 4rd bodies. We concluded that the eclipsing pair in SVCam system moves in an elliptic orbit about center of mass of the triple system with a period of about $42.^y2$, while the mass center of the triplet is in light-time orbit about the center of mass of the quadruple system with a period of $120^y$. The mean masses deduced for the 3rd and 4rd bodies were $0.89m_\odot$ and $0.82m_\odot$, respectively.

  • As the usage of computers and mobile handsets is popularized, the processing and storing of private and business data are increased. Hence we note that these sensitive data should never be transferred out of these personal devices without user's permission. In this paper, we propose a simple method to prevent transferring the sensitive data out of personal computing devices through their networking interfaces. The proposed method determines which processes invoke open system call related to the sensitive data, and then traces them within a specific duration. The proposed scheme has advantage over the existing ones using authentication or encryption because it could be still working well independent upon the new attack technologies or the latest vulnerabilities of hardware and software. In order to verify the proposed algorithm, we test it by implementing the necessary codes at the user and kernel spaces of Linux.

  • As the operating time in nuclear power plants (NPPs) increases, the integrity of nuclear components may be continually degraded due to aging effects of systems, structures and components. Recently, a number of NPPs are being operated beyond their design life to produce more electricity without shutting down. The critical issue in extending a lifetime is to maintain the level of safety during the extended operation period while satisfying the international regulatory standards. Therefore, it is beneficial to build a monitoring system to measure an aging status. In this paper, the Aging Monitor (AM) based on lots of aging database obtained from the operating plants and research results on the aging effects was developed to monitor, manage and evaluate the aging phenomena systematically and effectively in NPPs. The AM for the CANDU is divided into 6 modules: (1) Aging Alarm/Coloring Monitor, (2) Aging Database, (3) Aging Document, (4) Real-time Integrity Monitor, (5) Surveillance and Inspection Management System, and (6) Continued Operation and Periodic Safety Review (PSR) Safety Evaluation. The proposed system is expected to provide the integrity assessment for the major mechanical components of an NPP under concurrent working environments.

  • The organizational ambidexterity has been emerging as the way to gain competitive advantage in turbulent environment. The concept of ambidexterity is simultaneously accomplishing the balance between the activities of exploration and exploitation, and overcoming their conflicting tension. The beneficial merits of ambidexterity has been investigated in innovation, financial performance, strategic management, and etc. Our study focused on the impact of ambidextrous activities on creative performance. Although three ambidextrous modes-structural ambidexterity, contextual ambidexterity, and sequential ambidexterity-have been already acknowledged, scant studies suggested the specific mechanisms to achieve ambidexterity in practice at the operating level. To address the issue we performed the semantic network analysis on the basis of the previous literatures prescribing ambidexterity theory. We took interview with 21 teams to explore behaviors of teams from the ambidextrous perspective, and then interpreted the relationship among words which appeared in the interview. This study found the appropriate mechanism which alleviate tension revealed by exploitation and exploration exist as practical reality. We demonstrated how these ambidextrous mechanisms can be used to generate the creative performance as well as examined various antecedents. These findings would contribute to the more fine-grained understanding of organizational ambidexterity, especially in conjunction with organizational creativity.

Research Design: This article concentrated only on the analysis of secondary data available on the topic along with observation of facts in Kazakhstan based on diverse sources. In current conditions, the problem of women's unpaid domestic care work, and consequently, the lack of enough time and energy for professional employment. Distinguish domestic work vs. job/career/occupation, self-fulfillment, education, and leisure has a significant impact on women's life satisfaction. Data, and Methodology: This article focuses only on secondary data available in different sources from which the researchers procures comprehensive data and information. Results and conclusion: A family policy that aims to promote combining maternity, and domestic work with paid employment is an effective way to increase the proportion of working mothers/women. It is crucial to not only proportionally distribute the household responsibilities in the family but also to form an effective mechanism of state support for women through the development of the social services sector, as well as the adoption of a system-wide approach to gender equality.

  • The profile ring rolling process can realize various ring shapes unlike conventional rectangular cross-sectional ring products. In this paper, the defective groove in the bottom surface of L-shaped ring products was analyzed. Grooves are generated by non-uniform external forces due to profile main roll and initial blank shape. Process parameters such as the motion of dies and working temperature were determined. Mechanism of groove formation was analyzed by FE simulation on the basis of local external forces acting on the blank. Analysis results were similar to the groove actually occurring in the production line. Based on results of the analysis, two solutions were proposed for the groove. The position of the base plate supporting the blank was adjusted and edge length of the main roll was extended to suppress growth of grooves. It has been verified that groove was improved by applying two proposed methods in the shop-floor.

  • In this study, high-density plasma etching characteristics of ITO(indium tin oxide) films used for transparent electrode in dispaly devices were investigated. Plasma diagnostic and surface analysis tools were used to understand etch reaction mechanism. The etch rate of ITO was increased by the increase of reactive radicals such as H and $CH_3$ with the addition of moderate amount of $CH_4$ to Ar. However, the addition of excess amount of $CH_4$ decreased possibly due to the increased polymer formation on the ITO surface being etched. The increase of source power and bias boltage increased ITO etch rates but it decreased selectivities over under-layers $(SiO_2, Si_3N_4)$. The increase of working pressure up to 20mTorr also increased ITO etch rates, however the further increased of the pressure decreased ITO etch rates. From the analysis of XPS, a peak related to the polymer of hydrocarbon was observed on the etched ITO surface especially for high $CH_4$ conditions and it appears to affect ITO etch rates.

  • It has been known that transglutaminase C (TGase C, TGase II) is directly participated in the DNA organization of chromosome, and affects the cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis of cells, but still not known what mechanism is working on. In this study, the cytogenetic and the immunohistochemical methods were used to observe the TGase C expression in the nuclear chromosome of the proliferating cells, especially in mitotic stage. The human gastric adenocarcinoma (SNU-1) cell line was used for immunohistochemistry and antisense inhibition study in vitro. The present study was also aimed to disclose the efficiency of antisense inhibition by using antisense oligonucleotide DNA labeled with fluorescence, and found that anti-TGase C probe was diffusely infiltrated into the cytoplasm and the nucleus of the cell. By the antisense inhibition the nuclei of SNU-1 cells became rough nuclear shape, as they were greatly reduced in TGase C immunoreactivity both for the normal and apoptotic SNU-1 cells. However, it is clearly presumed that the TGase C directly interacts with the chromosome of SNU-1 cells and it may play an important role in the division and organization of the chromosome during the mitotic stage.
