자율주행 자동차의 제어권 전환 상황에서 요구되는 정보 유형에 관한 연구 (A study on the effect of information types on Drivers in Takeover period of automated vehicles)

  • 레벨 3단계의 자율주행 차량에서는 차량에서 운전자에게로 제어권을 이양하는 시점이 존재하게 된다. 이 때에 운전자는 전방으로 주의를 돌려 상황에 대한 인지를 해야 한다. 이 시점에서 휴먼 에러가 발생할 수 있으며, 이를 방지하기 위해 적절한 정보를 운전자에게 전달해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 운전자 관점에서의 제어권 전환 시점을 'in-the-middle-of-the-loop'이라 정의하고, 요구 정보를 도출하기 위해 과업 분석과 작업 도메인 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 요구 정보 타입과 그에 따른 인터페이스 고려사항을 도출하였다. 마지막 단계로는, 앞서 도출된 정보 타입 중 시스템 투명도에 대한 정보와 운전자 안내에 대한 정보를 선별하여 정보 별 운전자의 상황 인지, 인지 부하 그리고 반응 시간에 미치는 영향을 탐구하였다. 결론적으로, 상황의 위험도에 따라 시스템 투명도에 대한 정보를 다르게 제공해야 하며, 운전자 안내가 제어권 전환 후 상황 인지를 도와줄 수 있다는 결론을 얻을 수 있었다.

일부 종합병원 중앙공급실에서의 Ethylene Oxide 노출에 관한 연구 (A Study on Worker Exposure to Ethylene Oxide in Central Supply Sterilizing Room of Hospital)

  • This study was conducted at five Ethylene Oxide(EO) sterilizing processes in hospitals located in Seoul from August 8 to August 30, 1994. The main purposes of this study were to assess the TWA(Time Weighted Average) and short term exposures to EO and to evaluate factors affecting EO concentrations in sterilizing room. Results are summarized as follows. 1. The TWA concentrations of the sterilizing operators ranged from <0.005ppm to 3.04ppm and those of two sterilizing rooms out of five exceeded 1ppm, the Korean and ACGIH standards. 2. When the door of the sterilizer is opened at the end of the sterilization cycle, the short term concentrations of operators ranged from <0.005ppm to 11.4ppm, and those of three sterilizing room out of five exceeded 5ppm, the ACGIH short term exposure limit(STEL). The short term concentrations of area samples ranged from 0.24ppm to 49.2ppm and those of four sterilizing room out of five exceeded 5ppm. 3. Factors affecting EO exposure level were aeration type, the location of storage site for sterilized item, amount of gas, use period of sterilizer(p<0.005). 4. Following recommendations are suggested to minimize exposure to EO. The use of EO gas should be reduced by using another available sterilization methods, and the sterilizers and gas tank storage site should be isolated from, other work areas. Combination of local and general ventilation system should be installed. Metal carts or baskets for sterilization load should be used, and work environment and medical monitoring should be performed regularly.

Bioaerosol Exposure and in vitro Activation of Toll-like Receptors in a Norwegian Waste Sorting Plant

  • Background: The global shift toward greener societies demands new technologies and work operations in the waste-management sector. However, progressive industrial methods do not necessarily consider workers' health. This study characterized workers' exposure to bioaerosols and investigated the bioaerosols' potential to engage the immune system in vitro. Methods: Full shift personal aerosol sampling was conducted over three consecutive days. Dust load was analyzed by gravimetry, fungal and actinobacterial spores were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy, and endotoxin by limulus amebocyte lysate (LAL) assay. In vitro exposure of HEK cells to airborne dust samples was used to investigate the potential of inducing an inflammatory reaction. Results: The total dust exposure level exceeded the recommended occupational exposure limit (OEL) of 5.0 mg/m3 in 3 out of 15 samples. The inhalable endotoxin level exceeded the recommended exposure level by a 7-fold, whereas the fungal spore level exceeded the recommended exposure level by an 11-fold. Actinobacterial spores were identified in 8 out of 14 samples. In vitro experiments revealed significant TLR2 activation in 9 out of 14 samples vs. significant TLR4 activation in all samples. Conclusion: The present study showed that the dust samples contained potentially health-impairing endotoxin, fungi, and actinobacterial levels. Furthermore, the sampled dust contained microbial components capable of inducing TLR activation and thus have the potential to evoke an inflammatory response in exposed individuals.

동적 파워 케이블의 해양운용환경 내구성 검증시험에 관한 연구 (A Study for Durability Test of Dynamic Power Cable under Marine Operating Environment Condition)

  • In the production power transmitting of a floating production system like a wind offshore floating, the power cable should be connected from the surface system into the subsea system. The connection between the surface and the subsea system will make the power cable get a dynamic load like current and wave forces. Based on this condition, a dynamic power cable is required to endure external physical force and vibration in the long-term condition. It needs more requirements than static power cable for mechanical fatigue properties to prevent failures during operations in marine environments where the external and internal loads work continuously. As a process to verify, the durability test of dynamic power cables under the marine operation environment condition was carried out by using domestic technology development.

Comparative optimization of Be/Zr(BH4)4 and Be/Be(BH4)2 as 252Cf source shielding assemblies: Effect on landmine detection by neutron backscattering technique

  • Monte Carlo simulations were used to model a portable Neutron backscattering (NBT) sensor suitable for detecting plastic anti-personnel mines (APMs) buried in dry and moist soils. The model consists of a 100 MBq 252Cf source encapsulated in a neutron reflector/shield assembly and centered between two 3He detectors. Multi-parameter optimization was performed to investigate the efficiency of Be/Zr(BH4)4 and Be/Be(BH4)2 assemblies in terms of increasing the signal-to-background (S/B) ratio and reducing the total dose equivalent rate. The MCNP results showed that 2 cm Be/3 cm Zr(BH4)4 and 2 cm Be/3 cm Be(BH4)2 are the optimal configurations. However, due to portability requirements and abundance of Be, the 252Cf-2 cm Be/3 cm Be(BH4)2 NBT model was selected to scan the center of APM buried 3 cm deep in dry and moist soils. The selected NBT model has positively identified the APM with a S/B ratio of 886 for dry soils of 1 wt% hydrogen content and with S/B ratios of 615, 398, 86, and 12 for the moist soils containing 4, 6, 10, and 14 wt% hydrogen, respectively. The total dose equivalent rate reached 0.0031 mSv/h, suggesting a work load of 8 h/day for 806 days within the permissible annual dose limit of 20 mSv.

내화처리(耐火處理) 미송(美松) 및 미삼재(美杉材)의 연소후(燃燒後) 잔유(殘留)휨강도(强度)에 관한 연구(硏究) (Studies on the Residual Bending Strength of burned Douglas-fir and Western Hemlock soaked with Fire Retardant Chemicals)

  • The $3{\times}3{\times}30\;cm^3$ sized specimens of Douglas-fir(Pseudotsuga menziesii) and western hemlock(Tsuga heterophylla) in this study were soaked in four fire-retardant solutions of ammonium sulfate, monoammonium phosphate, diammonium phosphate, and aluminium chloride for 1, 24, 72, 168, and 336 hours. Subsequently they were air-dried and burned at high temperature of ca. $1,800^{\circ}C$ and for short time of 5 minutes. This study estimated the relationship between the adsorbed chemicals and the residual weight ratio or residual bending strength of these partly burned lumbers. The results were as follows; 1) In average amount of chemical adsorption, diammonium phosphate showed the largest and aluminium chloride the smallest regardless of species but monoammonium phosphate was larger in Douglas-fir than that of western hemlock. 2) The amount of chemical adsorption was larger in western hemlock than Douglas-fir on the whole. 3) The amount of chemical adsorption was increased with the increase of soaking time but the rate of increase began to decrease at 200hrs. 4) Residual weight ratios showed no difference between species but showed differences among the chemicals treated i.e. monoammonium phosphate, diammonium phosphate, ammonium sulfate and aluminium chloride in turn from the largest to the smallest. 5) MOR values showed linear increase with the increase of residual weight ratios but showed no difference in species and chemicals respectively. 6) In the relationship between amount of chemical adsorption and MOR, only diammonium phosphate showed the curve of secondary degree with significance in Douglas-fir. 7) The MOE value of burned Douglas-fir lumber increased and showed significance of 99% as the adsorbed chemical amount increased, but among the chemicals only monoammonium phosphate showed significance. The MOE value of burned western hemlock lumber didn't show significance. 8) In only Douglas-fir, the correlation between adsorbed chemical amount and work to proportional limit showed significance in only monoammonium phosphate. And in both Douglas-fir and western hemlock, the correlation between adsorbed chemicals and work to maximum load showed significance in monoammonium phosphate.

교차가새형 선행 안전난간을 적용한 시스템비계의 구조 성능 평가 (Structural Capacity Evaluation of System Scaffolding using X-Type Advanced Guardrail)

  • In domestic construction sites, when installing steel pipe scaffolding and system scaffolding, the guardrails are installed after the installation of the work platforms. This conventional guardrail system (CGS) is always exposed to the risk of falls because the safety railing is installed later. In order to prevent fall disasters during erecting and dismantling scaffolds, it is necessary to introduce the advanced guardrail system (AGS) which installs railings in advance of climbing onto a work platform. For the introduction of the AGS, the structural performance of the system scaffolding applying the CGS and the AGS was compared and evaluated. The structural analysis of the system scaffold (height: 31 m and width: 27.4 m) with AGS confirmed that structural safety was ensured because the maximum stress of each element of the system scaffolding satisfies the allowable stress of each element. As a result of performance comparison of CGS and AGS for each element, the combined stress ratio of vertical posts in AGS was 6.4% lower than that of CGS. In addition, in the case of ledger and transom, the combined stress ratios of AGS and CGS were almost the same. The compression test of the assembled system scaffolding (three-storied, 1 bay) showed that the AGS had better performance than the CGS by 9.7% (8.91 kN). The cross bracing exceeds the limit on slenderness ratio of codes for structural steel design. But the safety factor for the compressive load of the cross bracing was evaluated as meeting the design criteria by securing 3 or more. In actual experiments, it was confirmed that brace buckling did not occur even though the overall scaffold was buckled. Therefore, in the case of temporary structures, it was proposed to revise the standards for limiting on slenderness ratio of secondary or auxiliary elements to recommendations. This study can be used as basic data for the introduction of AGS for installing guardrails in advance at domestic construction sites.

  • 목재(木材)파아티클과 성질(性質)이 전혀 다른 철선(鐵線)을 물리적(物理的)으로 결합(結合)시킴으로써 목재(木材)와 철재(鐵材)의 재료적(材料的) 특성(特性)을 서로 보완(補完)하여 목재(木材)파아티클과 철선(鐵線)의 새로운 복합체(複合體)인 목질(木質)-철선(鐵線)보오드를 제조(製造)하고 그 특성(特性)을 구명(究明)하여 기초자료(基礎資料)를 얻고자 하였다. 메란티 합판제조폐재(合板製造廢材)을 이용(利用)한 팔만칩을 12mesh를 통과하고 20mesh체에 남는 큰 파아티클과 20mesh을 통과하고 60mesh체에 남는 작은 파아티클로 구분하여 요소수지를 분무한 다음, 굵기 1mm인 철선(鐵線)을 나비방향과 길이방향으로 1, 2 및 3층(層)으로 배열하여 성형(成型)하고 시험용(試驗用) 복합(複合) 파아티클 보오드를 제조하였다. 1층(層) 철선구성(鐵線構成)보오드의 경우에는 철선간(鐵線間)의 배치간격(配置間隔)을 나비방향과 길이방향(方向)으로 각기 0.5cm, 1cm, 1.5cm, 2cm 및 2.5cm 등(等) 5가지로 하여 24가지의 철선구성방법(鐵線構成方法)으로 하였으며, 2층(層) 철선구성(鐵線構成 )보오드는 철선구성간격(鐵線構成間隔)을 1cm로 하였고 철선구성방법(鐵線構成方法)을 3가지로 하였으며, 3층(層) 철선구성(鐵線構成)보오드는 철선구성간격(鐵線構成間隔)을 1cm로 하고 철선구성방법(鐵線構成方法)을 11가지로 하여 제조(製造)한 보오드는 대조(對照)보오드를 포함(包含)하여 312개였다. 보오드를 성형(成型)한 열압온도(熱壓溫度) 160$^{\circ}C$, 악력(壓力) 35kgf/$cm^2$, 열압시간(熱壓時間) 9분(分)으로 하여 보오드를 제조(製造)하고 이 목질(木質) 철선복합(鐵線複合)보도드의 물리적(物理的) 및 기계적(機械的) 성질(性質)을 측정(測定)분석(分析)한 바 다음과 같은 결과(結果)를 얻었다. 1. 큰 파아티클과 작은 파아티클로 제조(製造)한 보오드에서 철선구성층수(鐵線構成層數) 및 구성철선(構成鐵線)의 수(數)가 많은 보오드일수록 그 비중(比重)은 컸었다. 2. 큰 파아티클로 제조(製造)한 보오드는 철선구성(鐵線構成)으로 인하여 두께팽창율(膨脹率)의 감소(減少)가 뚜렷하였으며 특히 철선구성층수(鐵線構成層數)가 많을수록 이 팽창율(膨脹率)은 더 개선되었다. 3. 큰 파아티클 및 작은 파아티클로 제조(製造)한 보오드 공(共)히 철선구성층수(鐵線構成層數)가 증가(增加)함에 따라 철선(鐵線)의 강도적(强度的) 특성(特性)이 파아티클 휨강도(强度) 성질(性質)을 보강(補强)하여 파괴계수(破壞係數), 탄성계수(彈性係數), 휨 극한하중(極限荷重) 일량(量) 등(等)이 개선(改善)되었으며, 2층(層) 및 3층(層) 철선구성(鐵線構成)보오드의 경우 보오드의 하층(下層)의 철선구성방향(鐵線構成方向)이 보오드의 길이방향(方向)과 일치(一致)하는 보오드가 특(特)히 큰 휨강도(强度) 향상(向上)을 보여 인장라미네이션을 얻었다. 4. 1층(層) 철선구성(鐵線構成)보오드는 철선구성간격(鐵線構成間隔)에 따른 개구면적(開口面積)과 파아티클의 크기에 따라 파괴계수(破壞係數), 탄성계수(彈性係數), 휨 극한하중(極限荷重) 일량(量) 등(等)이 다르게 나타났으나, 큰 파아티클로 제조(製造)한 보오드의 파괴계수(破壞係數)는 개구면적(開口面積)이 1.5~3$cm^2$이고, 나비 방향(方向)의 철선구성간격(鐵線構成間隔)이 1~2cm이면서 길이방향(方向)의 철선구성간격(鐵線構成間隔)이 1.5~2.5cm인 보오드가 높은 값을 나타냈고 작은 파아티클로 제조(製造)한 보오드의 파괴계수(破壞係數)는 개구면적(開口面積)이 0.5~1.5$cm^2$ 및 3.75~6.25$cm^2$이고 나비 방향(方向)의 철선간격(鐵線間隔)이 0.5cm이거나 2.5cm인 보오드가 높은 값을 나타냈다. 5. 큰 파아티클로 제조(製造)한 1층(層) 철선구성(鐵線構成)보오드의 탄성계수(彈性係數)는 개구면적(開口面積)이 1.5~3$cm^2$이고 나비방향(方向) 및 길이방향(方向)의 철선구성간격(鐵線構成間隔)이 1~2.5cm에서 큰 값을 나타냈으며, 한편 작은 파아티클로 제조(製造)한 보오드의 탄성계수(彈性係數)는 개구면적(開口面積)이 0.75~1.25$cm^2$ 민 3~6.25$cm^2$이고, 나비방향(方向)의 철선구성간격(鐵線構成間隔)이 0.5 또는 2.5cm에서 큰 값을 나타내었다. 6. 큰 파아티클로 제조(製造)한 1층(層) 철선구성(鐵線構成)보오드의 휨 극한하중(極限荷重) 일량(量)은 개구면적(開口面積)이 1~3$cm^2$인 보오드가 큰 값을 보였고, 작은 파아티클로 제조(製造)한 보오드의 경우의 그것은 철선(鐵線)의 개구면적(開口面積)이 좁은 것이 크게 나타났다. 7. 박리저항(剝離抵抗) 및 나사못보지력(保持力)은 큰 파아티클로 제조(製造)한 3층(層) 및 2층(層) 철선구성(鐵線構成)보오드에서 대부분(大部分) 대조(對照)보오드보다 큰 값을 보였으나 작은 파아티클로 제조(製造)한 보오드에서는 뚜렷한 경향이 없었다. 큰 파아티클로 제조(製造)한 1층(層) 철선구성(鐵線構成)보오드의 박리저항(剝離抵抗) 및 나사못보지력(保持力)은 전체적으로 비슷한 수준(水準)을 보였고 작은 파아티클로 제조한 보오드에서는 개구면적(開口面積)이 증가(增加)함에 따라 박리저항(剝離抵抗)은 증가(增加)하고 나사못보지력(保持力)은 감소(減少)하는 현상(現象)을 보였다.

선박용 엔진 제조업 들기작업의 인간공학적 위험 평가를 위한 세 가지 방법 비교 (Comparison of Three Methods Assessing the Ergonomic Risks of Manual Lifting Tasks at Ship Engine Manufacturing Facilities)

  • A variety of ergonomic assessment methods of lifting tasks known as a major cause of work-related lower back pain have been used. But there is a limited information in choosing the most appropriate assessment method for a particular job and in finding out strengths and weakness of the methods. The purpose of this study was to assess and compare the ergonomic risks of lifting tasks in a marine diesel engine production industry by three lifting ergonomic assessment tools widely used: the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health(NIOSH) Revised Lifting Equation(NLE), the Washington Administrative Code 296-62-0517(WAC), and the Snook Tables. Lifting index(weight of load/Recommended Weight Limit) of NLE($LI_{NLE}$) was above 1 at 34 tasks(75.6%) of a total number of 45 lifting tasks. LI of WAC($LI_{WAC}$) was above 1 at 11 tasks(24.4 %). LI of Snook Table($LI_{Snook}$) was above 1 at 29 tasks(64.4%). Thus, LI was high in orders of $LI_{NLE}$ > $LI_{Snook}$ > $LI_{WAC}$. There were significantly high correlations among three Lls(p<0.01). The correlation coefficients between $LI_{NLE}$and the other three Lls($LI_{WAC}$ and $LI_{Snook}$) were r=0.93 and r=0.88, respectively. The linear regression equations were y = 0.444x + 0.11(r=0.93) between $LI_{NLE}$ and $LI_{WAC}$, y = 0.93x + 0.008(r=0.88) between LI(NLE) and $LI_{Snook}$. The LI values by WAC was significantly lower than those by the other tools. The compared features, strength and limitation among these tools were described in this paper.

레일저부고정형 안전펜스의 횡 방향 거동 분석을 통한 설치간격 산정 (Estimation of installation spacing by analyzing the lateral behavior of the safety fence fixed to rail bottom)

  • 교통사상사고 원인 중 선로근접 및 무단통행으로 인한 사고가 많이 발생하고 있다. 운행선 근접공사 시 열차운행에 지장을 주지 않고, 작업자의 안전확보 및 작업효율을 높이기 위해 철도선로용 안전펜스가 사용되고 있다. 하지만 철도선로에 적용되는 레일저부형 안전펜스는 열차주행 시 안전펜스의 간섭여부를 확인할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 철도선로용 안전펜스의 열차운행 시 지장여부를 확인하기 위하여 국내에서 운행되고 있는 열차들과 안전펜스 설치 시 이격간격을 분석하였다. 또한, 국내 열차종류별 열차 풍압에 대한 횡방향 하중조건을 산정하여 철도선로용 안전펜스의 설치간격에 따른 수치해석을 수행하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 철도선로용 안전펜스의 적정 이격거리는 차량한계로부터 200mm 이상을 확보하고, 열차풍압을 고려한 철도선로용 안전펜스의 적정 설치간격을 산정할 필요가 있음을 확인하였다.
