Background: Interest in digital medical information has increased because it allows doctors to easily access a patient's medical records and provide appropriate medical care. Blockchain technology ensures data safety, reliability, integrity, and transparency by distributing medical data to all users over a peer-to-peer network. This study attempted to assess pediatricians' thoughts and attitudes toward introducing blockchain technology into the medical field. Methods: This study used a questionnaire survey to examine the thoughts and attitudes of 30- to 60-year-old pediatricians regarding the introduction of blockchain technology into the medical field. Responses to each item were recorded on a scale ranging from 1 (never agree) to 7 (completely agree). Results: The scores for the intentions and expectations of using blockchain technology were 4.0 to 4.6. Pediatricians from tertiary hospitals responded more positively (4.5-4.9) to the idea of using blockchain technology for hospital work relative to the general population (4.3-4.7). However, pediatricians working in primary and secondary hospitals had a slightly negative view of the application of blockchain technology to hospital work (p=0.018). Conclusion: When introducing the medical records of related pediatric and adolescent patients using blockchain technology in the future, it would be better to conduct a pilot project that prioritizes pediatricians in tertiary hospitals. The cost, policy, and market participants' perceptions are essential factors to consider when introducing technology in the medical field.
The aim of this study is to make it sure how pupils' science inquiry skills and attitude are influenced when they are taught by using the work-sheets for the differentiated learning according to their ability. In order to accomplish this aim, two classes of the fourth grade in the elementary school were distinguished into two groups: one was the experimental class and the other, the comparative class. The experimental class was given 52 hours of science lessons using the above sheets, and the comparative class, the general method of teaching. In order to compare their scientific interest and learning ability of the two groups each other, pupils were tested the standardized achievement in advance. The two groups were also given "ex post facto test" to measure the variation of their inquiry skills and attitude after the lessons. In addition, the experimental class was tested to measure their learning attitude after they are teamed the science with the sheets. The results of this study are as follows: 1. According to the percentile statistics of the science inquiry skills test between the two groups, the work-sheets for the differentiated teaming helped pupils develope their inquiry skills remarkably. 2. The work-sheets did not lead to significant difference between the learning ability of boys and girls. 3. The science lesson using the work-sheets showed positive influences in increasing pupils' scientific attitude. 4. About 77.2 percent of pupils accepted the excellent records of the evaluation in the science lesson using the sheets. It can be, therefore, concluded that the science lesson using the work-sheets for differentiated teaming is one of effective science lessons to increasing pupils' science inquiry skills, compared with the general teaching method.
Lots of studies have been conducted on work-life balance in various fields. In particular, while a plethora of studies on the work-life balance have focused mainly on organizational culture and work performance, research to investigate the impact of work-life balance on employees' organizational commitment is scarce. This study aims to empirically analyze how work-life balance of employees affects organizational commitment and mediation effects of job satisfaction on the relationships through a survey of 463 employees working in small and medium-sized enterprises, public institutions, and conglomerates in the COVID-19 era. Also, it examines the impact of a smart work environment as a new way of working during the COVID-19 pandemic on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The findings of the study are summarized as follows. First, work-life balance was shown to positively affect job satisfaction, and job satisfaction had a positive influence on emotional organizational commitment of employees. Second, job satisfaction was found to be completely mediated both in the relationship between work-life balance and organizational commitment and in the relationship between work-family balance and organizational commitment, and partially mediated in the relationship between work-growth balance and organizational commitment. Third, the smart work environment had a positive effect on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The results of the study show that work and family, work and leisure, and work and growth balance are significantly important factors to improve employees' work attitudes in the changing work environment as a result of COVID-19. The present results suggest that the introduction of work-life balance and the smart work environment is required to increase organizational productivity.

Purpose: To examine knowledge and attitudes of nurses on post-operative pain, and to find the factors that hinder pain management by the nurses. Method: Data was collected using a questionnaire from all the nurses working in the surgical units and intensive care units in a hospital in Seoul between March 12 and 22, 2007. Data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, $x^2$ test, and Pearson Coefficient Correlation. Result: The average knowledge score on pain was $9.33{\pm}1.55$, and that for analgesics was $6.89{\pm}2.00$. There was a significant difference in knowledge of analgesics in terms of career(p=0.012), present work place(p=0.024) and education(p=0.042). The knowledge on pain etiology was significantly different in career. Around 61.1% of respondents answered that they would administer analgesics immediately if patients complaint pain, and 94.1% re-administer analgesics if the VAS score is over 5.69.3% thought that their knowledge was adequate for pain management. The attitudes of pain management were significantly different in career. Conclusion: We found that a further improvement on nurses' knowledge on pain management and analgesics is necessary. This study also suggests a need for professional education for nurses on post-operative pain management.
The objectives of this study were (1) to describe doctors' perception and attitudes toward patient safety culture and medical error reporting in their working unit and hospitals, (2) to examine whether these perception and attitudes differ by doctors' characteristics, such as sex, position, and specialties, and (3) to understand the relationship between overall perception of patient safety in their working unit and each sub domain of patient safety culture. A survey was conducted with 135 doctors working in a university hospital in Korea. After descriptive analyses and chi-square tests of subgroup differences, a multivariate-regression of overall perception of patient safety in their unit with sub-domains of patient safety culture was conducted. Overall, a significant proportion of doctors expressed negative perception of their working units' patient safety culture, many reporting potentials for patient safety problems to occur in their unit. They also negatively viewed their hospital leadership's commitment on patient safety. Regarding the patient safety in their working unit, doctors were most worried about staffing level and observance of safety procedures. Most doctors did not know how and which medical error to report. They also perceived that medical errors would work against them personally and penalize them. About 22 percent of respondents believed that even seriously harmful medical errors were not reported.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among dementia care knowledge, attitudes toward to dementia and approach to dementia care of nurses. The participants were 202 nurses in G hospital of P city. The mean score of dementia care knowledge was 11.02, attitude toward dementia was 40.15 and approach to dementia care was 7.90. The dementia care knowledge was significant difference for sex(t=-2.424, P<.05), education level(F=2.932, P<.05) and work unit(F=2.268, P<.05). The dementia care knowledge was positively correlated with attitude toward to dementia(r=.162,P<.05 ). The predictors of dementia care knowledge were Emergence Room(${\beta}=-1.568$, p<.05) and Intensive Care Unit(${\beta}=-1.682$, p<.05). The result suggest that it is necessary to develop convergence education program to improve dementia care knowledge and attitudes toward to dementia to give high quality nursing care for patients with dementia.
To date, the majority of research on empowerment has focussed on the individual job incumbent's psychological experience of empowerment and linking this with various work-related outcomes. However, a model that focuses on individual subjective reactions is at best incomplete if it does not include an examination of the contextual factors that shape those perceptions. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the relationships among situational factors, psychological empowerment and employee's attitudes. The data were collected by questionnaire from a sample of 525 employees who were working at business organizations in Kangwon area. Results indicated that organizational characteristics such as access to information, LMX, and participative climate were positively related to an employee's psychological empowerment. Psychological empowerment was positively related to an employee's job attitudes such as organizational commitment and innovative behavior. Finally, theoretical and practical implications from the results were discussed.
This study sought to identify the types of fashion brands preferred by tourists based on the shopping values that they pursue through purchases at tourist destinations and to verify the effects of these values on their satisfaction. To obtain a representative sample of South Korea's tourist shoppers, a survey was conducted among 300 subjects involving adult men and women in their twenties to sixties. Structural equation modeling analyses were performed on the collected data using SPSS and AMOS. The effects of tourist shopping values on brand attitudes were verified by dividing tourist shopping values into social, epistemic, and functional values and dividing brand attitudes into attitudes toward fashion global and local brands. Additionally, this work intended to ascertain the moderating effect of cosmopolitanism on tourist shopping behaviors. The analysis results reveal that a high level of epistemic value as perceived by tourists during shopping resulted in a corresponding high level of preference for local fashion brands. Furthermore, a high level of social value as perceived by tourists led to a high level of preference toward global fashion brands. Contrastingly, functional value influenced both local and global brands. As a result of the moderating effect, in the group with high cosmopolitanism tendency, the effect of epistemic value was not significant, but the low group significantly affected brand attitude based on the social and epistemic value. Given its academic and practical implications, the present study is likely to broaden the understanding of tourist shopping and facilitate future research on that phenomenon.
This study examines the mediating effect of self-esteem in the influence of family decision-making attitudes on adolescents' human rights awareness. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, data from the Korea Youth Policy Research Institute surveyed in 2018 were used and analyzed. After extracting 693 adolescents with part-time work experience among all respondents in this data, missing values, outliers, and weights were removed, and a total of 511 people were selected as final research subjects. The SPSS WIN 25.0 program was used to verify the influence and mediating effect between measurement variables. As a result of the analysis, the partial mediating effect of self-esteem was confirmed in the influence of decision-making attitudes within the family on the human rights consciousness of adolescents. In addition, the Sobel Test was conducted to confirm the significance of the mediating effect of self-esteem. Based on the results of this study, the necessity of social welfare intervention was suggested for desirable communication between parents and children, raising awareness of human rights and enhancing self-esteem suggested.

This study investigated gender differences in science-related attitude and to analyze association patterns among social factors affecting the differences. The relationships between student's science-related attitude and four variables - schools, teachers, friends and parents influencing the attitude were analysed. The questionnaire, which identifies whether the four variables influence students' science-related attitudes, were specially constructed and simultaneously administered with test of science-related attitudes (TOSRA) to 603 subjects: junior high, and high school students. Both boys and girls were not significantly different at TOSRA scores; however, by multiple regression analysis, the boys' TOSRA scores were influenced by the variable of parents and the girls' scores were influenced by teachers and friends. Social factors evoking gender differences on science-related attitude do not influence equally at everyday life of boys and girls. As the gender differences in science-related attitude decrease, perceptual changes of parents and teachers, the two most influential factors to make the differences should be important to drag females in science-related work as a desired occupation for women.
