This study introduces the case of a company that newly jumped into the competitive cosmetics market with a brand concept developed through big data analysis. Skin Reverse Lab, which possesses anti-aging material technology, launched a new brand in the skincare cosmetics market. Using a big data analysis program called Luminoso, SNS data was analyzed in four areas, which were consumer attitudes toward overall cosmetics, skincare products, competitors, and consumers' experiences of product use. The age groups and competitors were analyzed through the emotional analysis technique including context, which is the strength of Luminoso, and insights on consumers were derived through the related word analysis and word cloud techniques. Based on the analysis results, Logically Skin have won various awards in famous magazines and apps, and have been recognized as products that meet global trend standards. Besides, it has entered six countries including the United States and Hong Kong. The Logically Skin case is a case in which a new company entered the market with a new brand by deriving consumer insights only from external data, and it is significant as a case of applying AI-based sentiment analysis.

Ubiquitous is a Latin-derived word meaning "to exist at any time and place" like water or air. In computing, the word "ubiquitous" indicates an environment in which users have access to networks without any limitation regarding computer networks or places. Important issues in building Ubiquitous Korea (U-Korea) are the social problems appearing with a rapid increase in the old age population. Nowadays, with the rise of the nuclear family, the increase in the number of elderly people living alone, and the change in the status of women, both wives and husbands are employed outside the home, and the relatives who would be responsible for supporting the elderly sometimes are on long or short business trips, and it happens that old people can't be looked after. Therefore the government developed a wireless paging system for the sick, disabled, old and weak so that when an emergency happens, by just simply dialing 119, an emergency aid center could take prompt action. However, the present wireless paging systems composing the under-layer of the emergency aid information system have some problems, such as, a lack of reliability, problems among terminals, mobile transmitters and receiving terminals, the users' refusal to admit the need for the system and poor operational skills, administrators' perfunctory management and checks, etc. On account of these problems, the system efficiency has degraded and therefore a system upgrade is necessary. In this paper, we attempt to evaluate the newly implemented SAFE119 system, a new wireless paging system seeking to correct the problems of the current system.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the error patterns and sentence types in word problems with respect to 1$\frac{3}{4}$$\div$$\frac{1}{2}$ which were made by the pre-service elementary teachers, and to suggest the clues to the education in pre-service. Korean elementary teachers in pre-service misunderstood 'divide with $\frac{1}{2}$' to 'divide to 2' by the Korean linguistic structure. And they showed a new error type of 1$\frac{3}{4}$$\times$2 by the result of calculation. Although they are familiar to 'inclusive algorithm' they are not good at dealing with the fractional divisor. And they are very poor at the 'decision the unit proportion' and the 'inverse of multiplication'. So, it is necessary to teach the meaning of the fractional division as 'decision the unit proportion' and 'inverse of multiplication' and to give several examples with respect to the actual situation and context.
The purpose of this study is to summarize PWIM (Picture Words Inductive Model) which is one of learner-centered vocabulary teaching-learning models, and suggest ways to implement them in Korean language education. The pictures that are used in the Korean language education field help visualize the specific shape, color, and texture of the vocabulary that is the learning target; thus, helping beginner learners to recognize the meaning of the sound. Visual material stimulates the intrinsic schema of the learner and not only becomes a 'bridge' connecting the mother tongue and the Korean language, but also reduces difficulty in learning a foreign language because of the ambiguity between meaning and sound in Korean and all languages. PWIM shows commonality with existing learning methods in that it uses visual materials. However, in the past, the teacher-centered learning method has only imitated the teacher because the teacher showed a piece-wise, out-of-life photograph and taught the word. PWIM is a learner-centered learning method that stimulates learners to find vocabulary on their own by presenting visual information reflecting the context. In this paper, PWIM is more suitable for beginner learners who are learning specific concrete vocabulary such as personal identity (mainly objects), residence and environment, daily life, shopping, health, climate, and traffic. The purpose of this study was to develop a method of using PWIM suitable for Korean language learners and teaching procedures. The researchers rearranged the previous research into three steps: brainstorming and word organization, generalization of semantic and morphological rules of extracted words, and application of words. In the case of PWIM, you can go through all three steps at once. Otherwise, it is possible to divide the three steps of PWIM and teach at different times. It is expected that teachers and learners using the PWIM teaching-learning method, which uses realistic visual materials, will enable making an effective class together.
My responses to Kim Kyung-Ok's Critique on my critique on the Hungerford approach can be summarized as follows; First, it was argued that possible confusions and misunderstandings around the concept of behavior in REB were mainly caused by Hungerford himself who has used the word in several different ways, from a bunch of overt actions to almost all kinds of responses including cognitive skills, without any clear operational definition of it for more than 20 years. It seems to be needed for future users of the word, 'Behavior' to Prevent unnecessary confusions by providing their operational definition of it. Second, REB is too ambiguous to be a legitimate goal of environmental education and too outcome-oriented to be a meaningful measure for environmental education research. Anyone who accept REB as a goal of EE or a measure for research should clearly suggest procedures and criteria for judging the environmental responsibility of actions under consideration. Third, the Hungerford approach has begun by realizing the limit of a linear traditional behavior change system and has been evolving toward a complex model with dynamic interactions among/between cognitive variables and affective variables. However, it still has one-way structural orientation toward 'Behavior' with no feedbacks. Addition of some feedback processes would make the model more flexible and realistic. Finally, both the Hines model and the Hungeford model were established based on a series of behavioristic studies including three doctoral dissertations equiped with a list of actions which were prejudged to be environmentally responsible by the researchers, not by the learners. What they were primarily interested in was not how mind functions during the learning processes but how learners' behavior can be effectively changed. Considering uncertainty and complexity associated with environmental problems, a great deal of efforts ought to be made toward more context-based and less normative studies applying cognitive psychology and quantitative approaches.

While reading text-only documents and finding unknown words, readers will become the focus disturbed and not be able to understand the content of the documents. Because children have little experience, it is difficult to understand correctly if the description in context is unfamiliar or ambiguous. In this paper, in order to help understand the text and increase the interest of the readers, we analyze the texts of documents and select the contents that are considered important, and implement a system that displays the most relevant images automatically from the web and links the texts and the images together. The implementation of the system divides the article into paragraphs, analyzes the text, selects important sentences for each paragraph and the important words that best represent the meaning of the important sentences, searches for images related to the words on the web, and then links the images to each of the previous paragraphs. Experiments have shown how to select important sentences and how to select important words in the sentences. As a result of the experiment, we could get 60% performance by evaluating the accuracy of the relation between three selected images and corresponding important sentences.

The purpose of this study is to get a more fundamental definition of the term Architecture and Geonchuk through analyzing the origin and reception of the terminus technicus Architektonike. In Latin world the greek term Architektonike was adopted and replaced the term Constructio by Vitruvius and has played a significant role in the history of architecture. In the late 19th Century however, the word Architecture was translated into Geonchuk(建築) and has been dominantly used in countries such as Korea, Japan, and China. But the difference of the denotation between them has not yet been fully evaluated. The term Geonchuk signifies much the same as the Tektonik and remains as such in the architectural discourse. In this context, this study goes back to refer to the philosophy of Metaphysics by Aristotle. In his book the term Architektonike was defined for the first time as terminus technicus, and the philosophies in later Ages of Leibniz or of Kant adopted it to signify the world view in accordance with the time. However, the original thought of the Architektonike disappeared in architectural practice and has been used in most cases as a substitute for Oikodomike which denotes house-building. The usage of this word in later time shows that it lost its foundation to be interpreted not only in terms of principium cognoscendi, but also in terms of principium reale. From this the literal usage of the term architecture and Geonchuk has seldom to do with its original meaning and denotation of Architektonike and also they lost the status of terminus technicus for the discourse of arche which encompasses the meaning of both principle and universal order.
This study describes consumers' movie choices in conjunction with other group members and attempts to reassess the effect of the online word of mouth (WOM) source in a joint decision context. The tendency of many people to go to movies in groups has been mentioned in previous literature but there is no modeling research that studies movie choice from the group decision perspective. We found that ignoring the group movie-going perspective can result in a misunderstanding, especially underestimation of genre preference and the impact of the WOM variables. Most of the studies to measure online WOM effects were done at the aggregate level, and the role of online WOM variables(volume vs valence) is mixed in the literature. We postulate that group-level analysis might offer insight to resolve these mixed understanding of WOM effects in the literature. We implemented the study via a random effect model with group-level heterogeneity. Romance, drama, and action were selected as genre variables; valence and volume were selected as online WOM variables. A choice-based conjoint survey was used for data collection and the models was estimated via Bayesian MCMC method. The empirical results show that (i) both genre and online WOM are important variables when consumers choose movies, especially as group, and (ii) the WOM valence effect are amplified more than the volume effect does as individuals are engaged in group decision. This research contributes to the literature in several ways. First, we investigate movie choice from a group movie-going perspective that is more realistic and consistent with the market behavior. Secondly, the study sheds new light on the WOM effect. At group-level, both valence and volume significantly affect movie choices, which adds to the understanding of the role of online WOM in consumers' movie choice.
Textbooks used in Information Society need to use many illustrations and pictures which have positive effect in motivating and triggering students to study. "Pictures mean more than thousands of the word" says that it is significant to use media in class through visual materials. To meet the needs of the times, I examined one of the units, "IV Understanding Humans and Cultural Phenomena", among 7 authorized 'Society Culture' textbooks, so that there are 123 illustrations and 342 pictures that the percentage of them was 35.65% totally in the unit. On the examination of the frequency of using contents in each category, the illustrations are used 59 times (47.96%) in the research activity and the pictures 145 times (42.4%) in the context, which are most frequently used. Also on the examination into the actual states using contents among 'Society Culture' teachers by in-depth interviewing, they often use them when their class starts. And they require more increase in the illustrations than the pictures for easy and clear understanding and need more contents offering in the research activity to help students to study more interesting. Finally, on the result of the analysis of contents used in textbooks, exemplary cases were available to convey enough information without reading the context in the textbook because the proposed illustrations expressed the research activity's subject and the context's subject effectively. Even more, one illustration was able to indicate the sub-unit's subject while also presenting the content to be learned in the unit. However, improper cases included illustrations which are somewhat unrealistic or difficult to understand. Further, there are also some illustrations which are not related to the context. If these points are revised in the future, textbooks would be better.
The types of errors corrected by a Korean spelling and grammar checker can be classified into isolated-term spelling errors and context-sensitive spelling errors (CSSE). CSSEs are difficult to detect and to correct, since they are correct words when examined alone. Thus, they can be corrected only by considering the semantic and syntactic relations to their context. CSSEs, which are frequently made even by expert wiriters, significantly affect the reliability of spelling and grammar checkers. An existing Korean spelling and grammar checker developed by P University (KSGC 4.5) adopts hand-made correction rules for correcting CSSEs. The KSGC 4.5 is designed to obtain very high precision, which results in an extremely low recall. Our overall goal of previous works was to improve the recall without considerably lowering the precision, by generalizing CSSE correction rules that mainly depend on linguistic knowledge. A variety of rule-based methods has been proposed in previous works, and the best performance showed 95.19% of average precision and 37.56% of recall. This study thus proposes a statistics based method using a conditional probability model with dynamic window sizes. in order to further improve the recall. The proposed method obtained 97.23% of average precision and 50.50% of recall.
