  • Unlike wired networks, broadcasting in wireless networks can transmit data at once to several nodes with a single transmission. For omnidirectional broadcast to a node in wireless networks, all adjacent nodes receive the data at the same time. In this paper, we propose a greedy algorithm to solve the minimum power broadcasting problem of minimizing the total transmit power on broadcasting in wireless networks. We apply two matrices to the proposed algorithm: one is a distance matrix that represents the distance between each node, the other is an adjacency matrix having the number of adjacency nodes. Among the nodes that receive the data, a node that has the greatest number of the adjacent node transmits data to neighbor preferential. We compare the performance of the proposed algorithm with random method through computer simulation in terms of transmitting power of nodes. Experiment results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms better than the random method.

  • Data collection is an essential element in the construction and operation of a smart factory. The quality of data collection is greatly influenced by network conditions, and existing wireless network systems for IoT inevitably lose data due to wireless signal strength. This data loss has contributed to increased system instability due to misinformation based on incorrect data. In this study, I designed a distributed MQTT IoT smart sensor and gateway structure that supports wireless multicasting for smooth sensor data collection. Through this, it was possible to derive significant results in the service latency and data loss rate of packets even in a wireless environment, unlike the MQTT QoS-based system. Therefore, through this study, it will be possible to implement a data collection management system optimized for the domestic smart factory manufacturing environment that can prevent data loss and delay due to abnormal data generation and minimize the input of management personnel.

  • Nowadays, distributed mobility management (DMM) approaches have been widely adopted to address the limitations of centralized architectural methods to support seamless data transmission schemes in wireless sensor networks. This paper deals with the end-to-end (E2E) integration of Network Mobility (NEMO) basic support protocol in distributed wireless sensor network systems in structural health and environmental monitoring of social overhead capital (SOC) public infrastructures such as bridges, national highways, tunnels, and railroads. The proposed scheme takes advantage of the features of both the NEMO basic support protocol and partially distributed network-based DMM framework in providing seamless data transmission and robust mobility support. The E2E seamless data transmission scheme allows mobile users to roam from fixed-point network access locations and mobile platforms (i.e., vehicles such as cars, buses, and trains) without disconnecting its current sessions (i.e., seamless handover).

  • To resolve inefficient content delivery mechanism in conventional internet-based networks, Content-Centric Networks (CCN) has been proposed for wired and wireless networks. One of issues in wireless CCN-based networks is overhead to achieve reliability on content delivery because CCN uses end-to-end two-way handshake with Interest/content packets. In this paper, a novel protocol to reduce overhead and achieve reliability is proposed. The protocol allows Interest packet to request multiple data packets and multiple data packets to be sent in a row without a Interest packets. The protocol is evaluated through the simulations and the performance improvement is proved.

  • Recently, the wireless data communication infrastructure appearing before the footlights crosses the limit in the wire and develop into the fast speed. Particularly, the issue about the u-Healthcare service using this increases. And the investigation of the quality guarantee of the wireless data network is important for the smooth service providing. However, the quality control research about the wireless network is insufficient because the existing research performs the quality control between the termination about the wired network continually. This paper presented the mobile service quality measurement reference considering the radio environment, that is the method for satisfying the quality guarantee of the wireless data network user offered the u-Healthcare service as the research about this and user needs. For this purpose, wireless data quality measurement indicator and standard was selected. The quality measure evaluation plan was presented according to the service. And each service presented the quality index especially.

  • In this paper, we propose a streaming method for XML data that supports energy-efficient processing of queries over the stream in mobile clients. We propose new stream organizations for XML data which have different kinds of addresses to related data in a stream. We describe event-driven stream generation algorithms for the proposed stream structures and provide search algorithms for simple XML path queries which leverage the access mechanisms incorporated in the stream. Experimental results show that our approaches can effectively improve the tuning time performance of user queries in a wireless broadcasting environment.

  • The most important factor within the wireless sensor network is to have effective network usage and increase the lifetime of the individual nodes in order to operate the wireless network more efficiently. Therefore, many routing protocols have been developed. The LEACH protocol presented by Wendi Hein Zelman, especially well known as a simple and efficient clustering based routing protocol. However, because LEACH protocol in an irregular network is the total data throughput efficiency dropped, the stability of the cluster is declined. Therefore, to increase the stability of the cluster head, in this paper, it proposes a stochastic cluster head selection method for improving the LEACH protocol. To this end, it proposes a SH-LEACH (Stochastic Cluster Head Selection Method-LEACH) that it is combined to the HEED and LEACH protocol and the proposed algorithm is verified through the simulation.

  • Software applications have a huge and inseparable impact on our lives. The complexity of the applications increases rapidly to support high performance and multifunction. Accordingly, the cost model for applications is increasingly important. Line of Code (LOC) and Man-Month (M/M) as the cost model measure the quantitative sides of the applications. Unlike them, Function Point (FP) measures the functionalities of the application. FP is efficient for estimating qualitative characteristics, but it is restricted to measuring the cost of an application using the wireless data broadcast which can support any number of clients. In this paper, we propose, a Function Point model for Information services using wireles data Broadcast (FPIB) to measure the development cost of an application that serves using the wireless data broadcast environment. FPIB adopts critical parameters of the wireless broadcast environment and the complexity of them to measure effectively the cost developing the application. Through the evaluation comparing the proposed FPIB with FP, we reveal the effectiveness of the proposed FPIB.

  • Recently, water sewage disposal facilities are able to manage real-time data collection and record management through compact broadband modem LAN switching technology. Therefore, it needs more stable and efficient facility management. So, we required practical use of environmental facilities convergence based on broadband integrated modem. In this paper, we proposed short distance wireless communication network of compact broadband modem for sewage disposal facilities. And it received data inside of water treatment facility using the two communication methods (IEEE802.11x and IEEE802.15.4x). Then, our proposed an data-flow control algorithm of wireless network technology will prioritize processing data when emergency happen through collecting data, analysis data and processing. Lastly, we proved usefulness by experiment and simulation analysis.
