  • The quality of service for the voice and data communication is one of the most important elements in the mobile cellular networks. This quality has the time varying characteristics depending on the wireless network environments. In order to guarantee the quality of service at the predefined level, the mobile service provider needs to collect all the information about the level of quality served by the local base stations. In the conventional method the information on the service quality is measured and collected by the moving vehicle adopting the global positioning device. However this method requires relatively high cost and does not cover all the service areas. In this paper a new method is proposed utilizing a measurement node with local area communication transceiver and the mobile user equipment. In the proposed method the node communicates with the user equipment periodically to monitor the information on the service quality. The resulting information is reported to the measurement server in the mobile network. This method could be applied to either the circuit or the packet based networks. It also has an advantage in terms of the cost efficiency compared to the conventional method considering the required the equipment and the human resources.

  • The new wireless multimedia environment is coming because of the variety of an user requirement and a traffic increase which we can not accept in the IMT-2000 present systems. To offer the wireless multimedia service the world wireless communication company which included the ITU-R is developing the standard and technique of 4G systems. We analyzed the technique criteria of the 4G wireless communication system in this paper which is based on that of WiBro System. The mobile communication traffic is predicted Up/Down-link of non-symmetric in the future. And we proposed the PHY layer parameters of occupied frequency bandwidth of Up/Down-link with both 1:3 and 1:6. And we verified this through the simulation. So we proposed the technique criteria for 4G wireless communication in this paper.

  • Due on failures of communication nodes for the wireless and wired networks, mobile agents may be blocked even if there is available service in the networks. To solve it, we propose migration policy with reordering of the paths to guarantee the migration of mobile agents and the paper will provide the extension with the autonomous migration of mobile agents.

  • Recently there are increasing needs for Internet and various kinds of contents. These traffics for various contents need more amount of data to provide high-quality information and require various QoS depending on the characteristics of contents. However, current Internet service supports BE (Best Effort) service only, therefore IntServ (Integrated Service) scheme and DiffServ (Differentiated Service) scheme are represented to support QoS in IP layer. Moreover, while wireless Internet is getting popular, MAC(Medium Access Control)is also becoming important. This is due to the fact that wireless access, resource allocation and packet scheduling, which are done in another layers before, are performed in MAC layer in many new wireless systems. This paper describes new scheme that provides QoS taking into account the traffic characteristics over Mobile IPv6 network based on IEEE 802.11e EDCF and evaluates the performance through computer simulation.

  • Gossip is a well-known protocol which was proposed to implement broadcast service with a high reliability in an arbitrarily connected network of sensor nodes. The probabilistic techniques employed in gossip have been used to address many challenges which are caused by flooding in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). However, very little work has yet been done on real-time wireless sensor networks which require not only highly reliable packets reception but also strict time constraint of each packet. Moreover, the unique energy constraining feature of sensor makes existing solutions unsuitable. Combined with unreliable links, redundant messages overhead in real-time wireless sensor networks is a new challenging issue. In this paper, we introduce a Reliable Gossip Zone, a novel fine-tailored mechanism for real-time wireless sensor networks with unreliable wireless links and low packet redundancy. The key idea is the proposed forwarding probability algorithm, which makes forwarding decisions after the realtime flooding zone is set. Evaluation shows that as an oracle broadcast service design, our mechanism achieves significantly less message overhead than traditional flooding and gossip protocols.

  • Due to the recent advance in wireless communication technology, it is now more demanding to enjoy the high quality of service in the wireless Internal. TCP, which many Internet applications depend on for the end-to-end transport service, is optimized for the wired environment. Consequently, TCP suffers from severe performance degradation in the wireless environment where the bit error rate is relatively high and the burst errors frequently take place. In this paper, we propose a Robust TCP algorithm, which can effectively react against the burst error and significantly improve the TCP performance in wireless Internet. It is shown through the simulations that the Robust TCP performs well in the wireless environment, especially under the burst error condition.

  • In recent days, there are many researches of wireless LAN services as the communication environment of wireless LAN are so improved that a lot of services are available in wireless environments. The frequency of the wireless LAN is a general resource that can be used to everyone without any permission. Many technologies using this ISM (Industry Science Medical) frequency band are developed fast and widely. But, as many devices use the same frequency band at th same time, the service quality is degraded and the speed of the service rate id degraded by the result of the interference. For overcome this problem, we must provide the new technology of the mobile devices and a new cell design scheme for obtaining maximum throughput that considering the wireless environments effectively. In this paper, we explain the main technology at the IEEE 802.11n environments and proposes the optimal cell design and reference model for gaining maximum performance to many mobile devices at the same time by investigating real environment testing results.

  • Wireless internet is embossed the new keyword of IT technology in the world lately. The wireless internet is the architecture, technology and service to be can taken data communication and internet service using wireless device through connecting internet in the wireless environment. These wireless internet technology is extends the scope of using information with the existing wire internet technology. But, It is necessary to be extend supply of quantitative and qualitative for using wireless internet technology efficiently. For these matters, it is efficient to reuse good qualify contents that is serviced on wire environments. Then, in this paper, design and implement the technique of creating con-tents that is made by the method of compounding parts based on the contents automatic reuse technology over the concept of creating new wireless contents.

  • Wireless Body Area Networks (WBANs) are becoming increasingly important to solve the issue of health care. IEEE 802.15.6 is a wireless communication standard for WBANs, aiming to provide a real-time and continuous monitoring. In this paper, we present our development of a modified Markov Chain model and a backoff model, in which most features such as user priorities, contention windows, modulation and coding schemes (MCSs), and frozen states are taken into account. Then we calculate the normalized throughput and average access delay of IEEE 802.15.6 networks under saturation and ideal channel conditions. We make an evaluation of network performances by comparing with IEEE 802.15.4 and the results validate that IEEE 802.15.6 networks can provide high quality of service (QoS) for nodes with high priorities.

  • The IEEE 802.11 protocol is the most mature technology for WLANs(Wireless Local Area Networks). However, as the number of stations increases, the delay and throughput performance of IEEE 802.11 MAC(Medium Access Control) degrades severely. In this paper, we present the comprehensive performance analysis of IEEE 802.11 MAC protocol by investigating the MAC layer packet service time when arrival packet sizes have a general probability distribution. We obtain the discrete probability distribution of the MAC layer service time. By using this, we analyze the system throughput and the MAC layer packet service time of IEEE 802.11 MAC protocol in wireless LAN environment. We take some numerical examples for the system throughput and the mean packet service time for several special distributions of arrival packet sizes.
