정보통신기기의 품질차원에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Dimension of Quality of Telecommunications)

  • Many researches have concluded that product advantage or superiority is the most important factor for the commercial success of new products. However, the specific dimensions of product advantage have not been studied as yet. In order to know what kind of product attributes have been major determinants of commercial success, telecommunications winning products from 1985 to 1997 in the Korean market were examined. As results of the analysis, the determinants are classified into function, aesthetics, economy, safety, usability, reliability, brand image, assurance, distribution channel, advertisement, DEF(design for the environment). This study augmented the data set through questionnaire survey to marketing professor in University. The results will be a cue to future of new product development.

유전 알고리즘을 이용한 삼목 게임 전략 분석 (Analysis of Tic-Tac-Toe Game Strategies using Genetic Algorithm)

  • 바둑은 단순한 규칙에도 불구하고 매우 복잡한 전략보드 게임이다. 몬테카를로 트리탐색을 이용하여 컴퓨터 바둑 프로그램들이 접바둑으로 프로기사를 제압해 왔다. 몬테카를로 트리탐색은 전략의 개념보다는 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션에 의해 계산된 승률에 근간을 한다. 반면에 적절한 적합도 함수로 된 유전 알고리즘은 게임 내 최적 해를 찾아낼 수 있다. 삼목 게임(또는 ${\bigcirc}{\times}$게임)은 가장 대중적인 게임 중의 하나이다. 저자는 삼목 게임에서의 최선의 전략을 찾고자 했다. 실험 결과로 유전 알고리즘은 효율적인 전략들을 찾을 수가 있으며, 바둑과 서양장기와 같은 여타 보드게임들에 적용할 수 있음을 보였다.

  • The function and the role of school are changing according to various future-oriented education models such as open-ended learning cycle, community learning center, re-schooling, network system and de-schooling, which reflect recent social demands related to discussions on sustainability, low birth rate and ageing. what changes to our school buildings have been there? This study is aimed that shows the architectural change of school buildings and environments in 2000's. It reveals the architectural tendancy through some school buildings, 'the excellent facility school award' winner which Ministry of Education, Science and Technology have chosen annually since 1998. In the past decade, it is outstanding change that mass composition, window patterns and exterior wall materials are diversified greatly. The most of them have a opened main hall and multi-purpose spaces which give effective educational environment to students. Although visual changes are outstanding, we still need qualitative educational space program and improved school building design according to future-educational demands.

한국프로야구에서 피타고라스 지수의 추정 (Estimation of exponent value for Pythagorean method in Korean pro-baseball)

  • 야구의 승률은 총득점의 제곱을 총득점의 제곱과 총실점의 제곱의 합으로 나눈 것으로 추정된다는 야구의 피타고라스 정리에 대하여 많은 연구들이 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 피타고라스 정리에 사용되는 지수에 대한 새로운 추정방법을 제안하며 평균제곱오차의 제곱근 (root mean squared error; RMSE)을 이용하여 널리 알려진 추정방법들과 상대적 효율성을 비교하였다. 사용된 데이터는 1982년부터 2013년 사이의 모든 한국프로야구 기록이며, 그 결과 제안된 방법은 기존의 방법보다 RMSE 관점에서 바람직하다고 간주된다.

Bitcoin Cryptocurrency: Its Cryptographic Weaknesses and Remedies

  • Bitcoin (BTC) is a type of cryptocurrency that supports transaction/payment of virtual money between BTC users without the presence of a central authority or any third party like bank. It uses some cryptographic techniques namely public- and private-keys, digital signature and cryptographic-hash functions, and they are used for making secure transactions and maintaining distributed public ledger called blockchain. In BTC system, each transaction signed by sender is broadcasted over the P2P (Peer-to-Peer) Bitcoin network and a set of such transactions collected over a period is hashed together with the previous block/other values to form a block known as candidate block, where the first block known as genesis-block was created independently. Before a candidate block to be the part of existing blockchain (chaining of blocks), a computation-intensive hard problem needs to be solved. A number of miners try to solve it and a winner earns some BTCs as inspiration. The miners have high computing and hardware resources, and they play key roles in BTC for blockchain formation. This paper mainly analyses the underlying cryptographic techniques, identifies some weaknesses and proposes their enhancements. For these, two modifications of BTC are suggested ― (i) All BTC users must use digital certificates for their authentication and (ii) Winning miner must give signature on the compressed data of a block for authentication of public blocks/blockchain.

숀 탠 (Shaun Tan)의 3D 애니메이션 에 나타난 은유적 표현에 대한 고찰 (Consideration of Metaphors Appeared on Shaun Tan's 3D Short Animation, )

  • 본 논문은 최근 아카데미 단편 애니메이션 상을 수상하며 국제무대에서 객관적인 작품성을 인정받은 숀 탠의 애니메이션 에 나타난 은유적 표현을 분석하였다. 단편 애니메이션 은 내용적 시각적인 면에서 많은 부분이 은유적인 방식으로 표현되어 있다. 분석의 방법은 언어체계를 기반으로 하는 '개념적 은유 분석틀'을 이용하여 스토리와 시퀀스를 분석하고, 개념들이 구조화될 때 파생되는 시각적 차원을 분석하기 위하여 '시각적 은유 분석틀'을 이용하여 캐릭터를 분석하였다. 본 논문에서는 애니메이션이 관객과 소통하는 방식을 기존의 다양한 관점 중에서 은유라는 광범위한 의미에서의 언어적 대상을 통해 애니메이션이 자신을 실현하는 방식, 애니메이션이 자기 조직화하는 양상을 고찰함으로써 밝히고자 하였다. 애니메이션에서 은유는 파편과도 같은 이미지들 간의 연계와 총체성을 생산하고 관객에게 창조적 소통을 유도하는 본질적인 수단으로 기능한다. 애니메이션 에서 다양한 방식으로 실현되는 은유들의 시동 동기로서 작용하는 본질적 의미는 현대인이 느끼는 상실과 그리움의 정서이며, 열차, 병뚜껑, 음식, 물품 처리소, 좁은 틈새 공간, 소속을 알 수 없는 분실물을 통해 작품 전체를 관통하는 의미로 작용하고 있다. 이와 같이 작품 분석을 통하여 알아본 은유의 기능은 우선 미적 기능으로서 간결미와 신선미를 준다. 또한 경제적 기능으로서 장황한 내용을 함축적으로 표현하며, 여러 가지 의미를 한꺼번에 내포한다. 그리고 창조적 기능으로서 은유가 새로운 의미생산의 도구로서 사용되었다. 즉 애니메이션은 단지 어린 연령층을 대상으로 한 오락적인 장르만이 아닌 사유와 소통의 도구로서 보다 폭넓은 대중들에게 감동을 전달할 수 있는 매체이며, 이러한 다양하고 깊이 있는 의미전달을 위한 장치로서 은유적인 표현이 사용되었음을 알 수 있다.

감성 전달을 위한 UCC 동영상 편집 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on UCC Video Editing for Sensibility Delivery)

  • UCC(User Created Contents) 동영상은 온라인상에서 사용자가 상업적인 의도없이 제작한 '감성 전달' 매체로서 최근 인터넷 대중문화의 핵심 콘텐츠로 급부상하였다. '감성 전달'은 UCC 동영상의 궁극적인 목적으로 '기 승 전 결'의 스토리텔링(Storytelling)이 뒷받침되어야 가능하다. 그러나 비상업적인 UCC 동영상은 불안정한 제작 환경, 다양한 변수들로 인하여 완성도 높은 작품을 기대하기 어렵다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 불안정한 UCC 동영상의 문제점을 최소화하기 위해 편집 단계에서 '세부적인 스토리텔링 편집' 과정을 제안하였다. 연구자의 실무 결과물과 UCC 동영상 공모전 수상작품을 토대로 연구한 이 제안은 공감대를 키우고, 창의적인 변화를 유도하며, 통일성있는 마무리 편집으로 작품의 완성도를 높임으로서 '감성 전달'의 기능을 확대할 수 있다.

광양역사 조경설계 (Landscape Design for Kwangyang Station)

  • The Office of Korean National Railroads announced a design competition for Kwangyang Station and sought design proposals in October of 2002. The authors collaborated on a landscape design for Kwangyang Station and earned first prize in the competition. The Office decided to construct outdoor public spaces of Kwangyang Station for railroad users, visitors and staff, and local residents. The landscape design covers the following: site inventory and analysis; integration of design program and site analysis; evaluation of design concept; selecting a winning design alternative; schematic design including circulation form and spatial form; and design development including subarea design. In the design process, the authors focused on the integration and interpretation of site conditions as related to the Kwangyang Station building. They also collectively analyzed and considered the physical development of the outdoor spaces of Kwangyang Station. The following are some of the major areas in the design of the outdoor spaces of Kwangyang Station: 1) a plaza for waiting, 2) an entry area for passengers, 3) a train cafeteria, 4) a cultural plaza, 5) an image wall, and 6) a symbolic pond. The plaza for waiting is created as a place for users to wait and rest. The entry area for passengers provides an area for pedestrians approaching, passing and strolling. The train cafeteria features trains, lawns, grasses and trees. The cultural plaza is a main area representing the regional characteristics of Kwangyang. This plaza also provides an area for various public events. The image wall is meant to be an exhibition space for displaying the advancements of Korean National Railroads in sculptural image forms. The symbolic pond consists of an area with symbolic water features and several sculptures with artistic value. In the authors' design, the outdoor spaces of Kwangyang station are created as a new type of public realm with function, regional quality, original identity, cultural context, symbolic meaning and images, and beauty. The designed spaces would be one of the most representative places of interest and attraction in Kwangyang.

조경식재를 통한 농촌마을 경관조성에 관한 연구 - 함안군 여항면 내곡리를 사례로 - (Landscape Design for the Rural Village - A Case Study of Naegokri, Yeohang-myeon, Haman-gun -)

  • The landscape commonly refers to the appearance of the land, including its shape, texture, and colours. Among many factors contributing to the landscape, tree and plants factors playa significant role in rural landscape as a colours. Therefore the rural traditional theme village where had been designated under the rural traditional theme village since 2007 in Naegok-ri, Eohang-myeon, Haman-gun has planned to design the tree plant planning for creating a unique rural landscape. The landscape proposal for the new Rural Village in Naegokri, Yeohang-myeon, Haman-gun suggests three main strategies; 1) The riverside area and reservoir area adjoined forest was required to be prepared to offer organization waterside landscape and forest landscape through landscape planting and selecting trees i.e. able to reflect sense of the season that promote high quality values of landscape area in rural. 2) The area adjoined stable was required to strengthen the screen planting and buffer planting with multiple plant layer structure and trees of branches and leaves closeness, shrubs of beauty flowers in order to improve disamenity landscape and odours. 3) The rural traditional theme village adjoined entrance was required to open space such as multipurpose garden, specialized or themed garden which include Landmark factors and prepared to the space with the various theme and visual diversity in order to take charge of function as landmark characteristic in Naegok-ri, Eohang-myeon, Haman-gun, and so on. In conclusion, this winning principal purpose of this study is applied to basic tree plant model for sustainable rural landscape creation in rural areas by selecting beautiful landscape plants and the tree plant planning.

Action Research: the Use of Enterprise Resource Planning System in Construction Engineering and Project Management

  • Although information communication technology (ICT) is long regard as very useful tool in today's construction engineering and project management environment, organizations must not only operate based upon its original setting, but also requires on-going observation, additional features and fine-tuning actions before the desirable outcome can be achieved. However, it is a very common phenomenon that organizations purchase the licensed "off-the-shelf-software" package and customize it to suit their own business need. Due to the incapability of such software and inefficient customization, the possible result is making that ICT tool not user-friendly and sometimes the whole system becomes obsolete. The purpose of this paper is to review and report those actions taken (between February 2006 and December 2010) by a construction organization to enhance the performance of its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system launched in December 2002. Such actions include: improving data inputting method; removing the transition bottleneck; introducing crystallization function; revising the organization's "Delegation and Limits of Authority"; publishing the "League Table" amongst users; integrating the 3D Mode into the system and upgrading hardware. Whilst the ultimate goals of such system are well beyond the time limit of this research study, an obvious interim result, achieved by this case studied organization, was winning a landmark project worth US$500 million after the ERP system was functioned properly and effectively. Their experience and success becomes an exemplar which can be borrowed by those companies, from managerial perspectives and as a roadmap, planning to adopt information technology (IT) strategy and use ICT tool in the construction engineering and project management framework. Singapore, where public housing provisions have been a major concern of their citizens as the building stock gets older.
