In this paper, we developed a Windows NT version off-line programming system which can simulate a track vehicle model in 3D graphics space. The track vehicle was adopted as an objective model. The interface between users and the off-line program system in the Windows NT's graphic user interface environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by Silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for 3D Graphics.

This paper describes implementation and performance evaluation of XTP(Xpress Transport Protocol) onthe Windows NT for multicasting in high-speed communication networks. We designed the protocol byan event-driven method and implemented it in form of network driver in a kernel for performace enhancement. Various applications program are used for its functional test and comparison with the TCP protocol.

A parallel computing environment based on Windows operating system was constructed and a performance test was mode in comparison with Linux based systems. The Windows 2000 cluster was composed with servers and clients connected by Fast-ethernet, within which two sub-clusters may operates together or separately. Compaq Visual Fortran complier and two MPI libraries, MPICH.NT.1.2.2 and NT-MPICHNT.1.2 were installed as computing tools. Parallel computing performance tests were carried out using two-dimensional preconditioned Navier-Stokes code to examine the dependency on the number of processors, problem size and MPI libraries, those were compared with results from Linux clusters. Results shows that a cluster based on the user-friendly Windows operating system is also useful for the parallel computing and has good performance comparable to the previous Linux clusters.

Within a context of rapid technological change and shifting market conditions, the education environment requires new paradigm of education delivery. In accordance of such a technological progress, distance education system, which makes the learning take place at anytime anywhere, overcoming barriers of time, or distance, is emerging as a mainstream of education delivery replacing the convectional one way delivery system from instructor to learners. This paper aims to introduce the development principle and algorithm about Instructional System Desgin(ISD) module, a part of a total solution for distance education services. It was developed on Linux, a free Unix-type operating system. Linux supports so various network protocols, sharing the network resources in a smooth way, that it is able to integrate with other operating system very easily, especially with Windows NT or Windows 2000 servers. In terms of quality, it never falls behind the windows products which are commercially available only. It is a right operating system for the such a school environment that is usually limited in budgets. The development environment of the distance education solution to which ISD module belongs is composing of Apache server for web server, lava bean based on components for ISD module, PHP, server-side scripting language, for HTML documents and MySQL for DBMS.

인터넷 사용자의 급격한 증가로 인해 사용자들은 더욱 다양한 인터넷 서비스들을 제공받기를 원하고 있다. 사용자들의 다양한 요구를 원활히 충족시켜주기 위하여 인터넷 서버의 성능은 날로 증대되고 있으나 서버의 관리는 네트워크의 크기가 증대될수록 점점 더 어려워지고 있다. 또한 기존의 인터넷 서버 시장은 유닉스 계약의 서버가 우위를 차지하고 있었지만, 최근 개인 PC 서버의 증가로 인해 윈도 NT 서버가 전체 서버 시장에서 차지하는 비율이 커지고 있다. 본 논문은 유닉스 서버에 비해 상대적으로 연구가 미약했던 윈도 NT 서버를 관리할 수 있는 모니터링 도구를 제시한다. 순간적으로 변화하는 네트워크 상황에 적응하기 위하여 윈도 NT 서버를 탐지할 수 있는 네트워크 디스커버리 기법을 접목함으로써 관리 대상 서버의 선택을 손쉽게 하고자 하였고, PDH 라이브러리를 사용하여 윈도 NT 서버의 관리를 보다 효율적으로 수행하였다.

The next generation internet protocol, IPv6, have been developed by the IETF according to the requirements of enhancement of classic IP protocols to satisfy the lack of Internet address space as well as the support of multimedia applications. This paper presents an implementation of IPv6 protocols on the Windows NT kernel environment. In this work, we developed and also tested the basic functions, required for operating as an IPv6 host, such as IPv6 header processing, IPv6 address handling, control message processing, group membership processing and neighbor discovery functions. The implemented IPv6 protocol driver module is connected to the lower network interface card through NDIS, a standard network interface. And this driver module that operates within kernel, is implemented as it is connected to upper user applications and lower NDIS using dispatch and lower-edge functions. The developed IPv6 protocol driver can provide not only enhanced performance because it is implemented in kernel mode, but also convenience of usage to the application developers because it gives user interface as a dynamic link library.

The existing tutoring estimation systems using the authoring tools or HTML forms on the Web environment don't have been improved inconvenient factors of uni-directional interactive systems. In this paper, we design and implement the interactive tutoring estimation system which is conveniently considered to user on the internet environment. The proposed system is divided into teacher and student modules, which have the functions of the new problem insertion and deletion in database, regular examination marking for the former and lecture/test selection, scoring look, etc for the letter. The environment of server system in this thesis is implemented using the IDC file and SQL database for internet access based on Windows NT, client systems are composed to Windows 95 environment based on Explorer or Netscape to access for interactive tutoring systems.
