Zeus is one of the will-published malwares. Generally, it infects PC by executing a specific binary file downloaded on the internet. When infected, try to hook a particular Windows API of the currently running processes. If process runs hooked API, this API executes a particular code of Zeus and your private information is leaked. This paper describes techniques to detect and hook Windows API. We believe the technique should be able to detect modern P2P Zeus.

As the interest and use of computer have been increased among elderly users according to the entry to the aging society, the issue of universal design for computer usability was brought forward. Especially, it is widely recognized that universal UI(User Interlace) design on MS windows is important. The objective of this study is to conceptualize Universal GUI design on MS windows which can be used more easily and intuitively by novice users such as elderly and housewives. Especially, the solution for Universal GUI design on MS windows was developed by reflecting elderly users' needs because elderly users is the group with more difficulties than other user groups in learning and using MS windows. First, elderly user's needs was collected by participant observation as a teaching assistant in computer dass for elderly people for 4 weeks. Secondly, the experimental test and in-depth interview was implemented to find difficulties factors and needs in addition to participant observation. Based on the findings, the new GUI design solution was suggested. The design solution consists of ideas in several categories such as setting default, simplification of function for easy conceptual model making, customization of function and working environment, and intuitive GUI in interaction process. The new MS windows GUI design can be accessed by novice mode when user login in window XP. This study has the significance in finding elderly users detailed needs through in-depth and long term participant observation. However, the usability of the suggested prototype needs to be verified to various user groups besides elderly users in the future.

Windows CE는 Microsoft사의 Windows 운영체제 가운데서 가장 작은 운영체제로서 일반 데스크톱 Windows 커널을 수용할 수 없는 소형/임베디드 장비에서 주로 사용되어진다. 현재 Windows CE에서 사용되고 있는 부트로더로는 E-boot(Ethernet bootloader)가 있으며 RAM 이미지와 플래시 이미지 다운로드 기능을 제공한다. E-boot의 문제점으로는 플래시 메모리상에서 부팅을 수행하기 때문에 NOR 타입의 플래시만을 지원하여, 컴팩트 플래시와 같은 NAND 타입의 플래시 지원하지 않는다. 이는 OS Binary 이미지의 용량이 NOR 플래시를 초과할 경우에 수행이 불가능하다는 문제를 발생시킨다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존의 E-boot를 수정하여 NDR 플래시보다 상대적으로 가격이 저렴하고 휴대성이 좋은 컴팩트 플래시 메모리를 이용하여 부팅이 가능한 부트로더를 구현한다. 또한 컴팩트 플래시 지원을 위한 새로운 읽기/쓰기 메카니즘을 소개한다.

In this paper, development of embedded system based on Windows CE 5.0 which released recently is studied. Embedded softwares for the target board using S3C2410A SOC based on ARM920T core are composed of (1) BSP(Board Support Package) contains an OAL(OEM Adaptation Layer) which includes a boot loader for initializing and customizing target hardware, device drivers, and a corresponding set of configuration files (2) Windows CE 5.0 kernel (3) SDK and MP3 test application. Particularly, PB(Platform Builder) provides the efficient functions to build, test and debug the BSP and CE kernel. It is looked forward to being widely spread that Windows CE 5.0 will be utilized at smart devices such as PMP, CNS and DMB phone which inevitably require a display device.

This paper designs file security function on Windows O.S. Whenever you use Windows O.S, you need to protect some file data. This paper designs these security protection functions. This paper proposes two security functions on Windows O.S. One is file security. the other is directory access protection. To check the proposed functions well, I experiment the above functions on the Windows O.S. By this experiment, I confirmed that the proposed function worked well.

It discovered a design error from the module to search required installing security patch of Windows Update and Automatic Updates that Microsoft supports it to install security patch easily and quickly. It explains and tests security patch-disguise attack by this error. Security patch-disguise attack is to maintains a vulnerability and to be not searched the security patch simultaneously. Also it composes an attack scenario. Is like that, it proposes the method which solves an design error of the module to search required installing security patch.

최근 PC의 고성능화롤 PC 기반의 서버 사용이 증대되고 있다. 특히 Windows NT 는 인터넷 서비스를 제공하는 PC 기반 서버로 폭 넓게 사용되고 있다. 이러한 서버에서의 데이터 파괴는 막대한 손실을 가져 올 것이다. 데이터의 안정성과 고 가용성을 위한 방법으로 disk mirroring 기법이 여러 분야에서 사용되고 있다. 기존의 연구들은 UNIX 플랫폼에 편중되어 있고, 현실적으로 사용이 증대되고 있는 Windows 에 대한 연구는 상대적으로 빈약한 상태이다. 본 논문에서는 Windows NT device driver level에서 다수의 node에 대한 disk mirroring 기능 구현을 설계한다. Windows NT는 계층화된 driver layer로 구성되어 있으며, 구현된 mirroring module을 드라이버 계층상에 추가함으로써 기존의 기능을 변경하지 않고 새로운 기능을 추가할 수 있다.

One common roadblock to innovation is the inability to define the problem that needs to be solved. Main contributors to this situation are the complexity of real field and the psychological inertia. 9-Windows can help break the complexity and the psychological inertia. In this article, we attempt to propose how to link resources to space and time framework through 9-Windows. Also, we propose how to use the 9-Windows to find multiple perspectives and explore solutions to a problem. This research is expected to be a vehicle to make an effective use of 9-Windows along with TRIZ, SIT, CT, FMEA and QFD.

Building components such as walls and windows causes the loss of many energy. The current of windows are using by the law standards that have been every reinforce the year from 2008. As the more reinforcement of legal standards, benefits of energy is possible to raising, But it is must to considered LCC and connectivity. In this study, the alteration for Law Standards is examining influence for initial cost. Accordingly, We are searches by using to windows products in domestic office building which choosing to window types in Law Standards, we are analyzed for initial cost of building out of the apartment.

Smart Phone의 OS로 많이 사용하는 Android/Windows Mobile Smart Phone의 사용이 급격히 증가하고 있다. 무료 WiFi Zone과 인터넷 사용에 대한 취약점이 존재한다. Mobile Forensic의 증거 자료를 추출하는 방법은 SYN, JTAG, Revolving 방법이 있지만, 기존 휴대폰과 달리 Smart Phone은 OS와 구조, 사용방식과 기술의 차이로 인한 Mobile Forensic 연구 방법도 달라야 한다. 본 논문에서는 Smart Phone에서는 많이 사용되는 Windows Mobile/Android Smart Phone의 OS와 구조 차이를 분석한 데이터 백업과 스펙 분석 및 증거자료 분석을 한다. 또한 무료 WiFi Zone을 통한 인터넷 사용시에 취약점을 분석한다. 그리고 Android/Windows Mobile Smart Phone의 Forensic 자료를 생성하여 증거를 추출하고, Mobile Forensic 보고서를 생성한다. 본 연구를 통하여 Mobile Forensic의 기술 발전에 초석을 제공할 것이다.
