This study was conducted to reveal the effects of local climatic conditions on reproductive growth in a mature stand of Korean white pine based on climatic estimates. For this, the reproductive growth such as production and characteristics of cone and seed were first measured and summarized for seven years from 1974 to 1980. The local climatic conditions in the study site were also estimated by both a topoclimatological method and a spatial statistical technique. The local climatic conditions were then correlated with and regressed on the growth factors to reveal the relationships between the climatic estimates and the reproductive growth. Average number of conelet formation per tree showed highly negative correlation with some climatic variables related to minimum temperature in the year of flower bud differentiation. Especially, the most significant negative correlation were found between average of the minimum temperature for June and July of flower bud differentiation year and the number of conelet formation. There was no significant correlation between the number of cone production and climatic variables. However, total precipitation from December of the flowering year to February of the cone production year showed the most high correlation (r=0.6036) with the number of cone production. It was found that significant climatic variables affecting the amount of cone drop and cone drop percentage were the sum of cloudy days from June of the flowering year to August of the cone production year. Positive correlation was significantly recognized between the average weight of empty seed per cone and total precipitation from December of the flowering year to February of the cone production year. For the percentage of empty seed, five climatic variables among 19 variables were significantly correlated at 10% level. The average weight of a cone showed negative correlation with total precipitation from June of the flowering year to August of the cone production year. It was also found that average weight of a seed had highly negative correlation with total precipitation from December of the flowering year to February of the cone production year. The average weight of cone coat was negatively correlated with two climatic variables derived from clear days, which are sum of clear days from November of the flowering year to March of the cone production year and sum of clear days from December of the flowering year to February of the cone production year. On the other hand, it showed positive correlation with mean temperature of May in the flowering year. The exactly same results were obtained in correlation analysis for the percentage of cone coat.
RAPD test and the observation of morphological, cultural characteristics of fourteen selected entomogenous fungi were conducted to investigate the analysis of their internal relationships. Paecilomyces tenuipes showed snow flower form attached to numerous white conidiophores, produced globular and semi-egg types on the club types of phialides. Cordyceps militaris formed globosely conidiophores, dark yellow fruiting body on pupa. The phialide as on Acremonium-type in global conidiophores. Beauveria bassiana covered with conidia was not formed fruiting body and adhered conidia on conidiophore of zigzag type. The PDA and SDAY medium were confirmed as an optimum growth of them. P. tenuipes showed to velvet and plane types in several media whereas C. militaris was belong to centrally raised and floccose in the morphological type. In contrast, B. bassiana covered with conidia on velvet shape. The size of amplified products were analyzed by RAPD using URP primer and were from 100 bp to 2.0 kb with $10{\sim}14$ geuomic DNA. Total similarities of two groups were by dendrogram of UPGMA analysis. The homology of P. tenuipes groups was 94.8 to 100%. It also showed 70.1 to 96.6% in C. militaris group and B. bassiana was higher similarity than any other. The internal change of C. militaris, produced telemorph fruiting body, was higher seperated in species than P. tenuipes and B. bassiana in the RAPD.
This study was conducted to investigate morphological characteristics of veiled lady mushroom (Dictyophora sp.). Morphological observation of mycelium showed the presence of chlamydospore-like swelling cells, and typical mycelial champ connections. Fruiting body of the veiled lady mushroom consists of cap, velum, stipe, and vulva. Oval-shaped eggs were surrounded by exodermis, gelatin layers and endodermis, and the fruiting bodies remained inside volva as liquid gelatin layer. Dark green spore layer was formed at the top of cap. The surface eggs in the cultivated veiled lady mushroom was covered with white needle-shaped mycelial projection that was oval in shape. The velum of fruiting body stretched down to the top of volva. The net was regularly shaped, and smelled like fragrance with chestnut flower. The strain KACC 50650 was identified as Dictyophora echinovolvata based on the morphology of eggs and fruiting bodies, and named as Huin-Dol-Gi-Mang-Tae mushroom in Korean.
A new paeony variety 'Euiseongjakyak' was developed by Gyeongbug Provincial Rural Development Administration in 1993. This variety was selected from pure lint selection. It is characterized by red flower of single type, deep white flesh colour, straight and big radixs. When compared with 'Punggi jerye' a check variety, it is more resistant to lodging, disease and insect injury, and outyielded by 32% in total radix and 17% in marketable radix during 3 years regional performance trials. In the radix, the content of starch and sugar was higher by $9.8\sim12.22%$, crude protein and ash was similar and fiber was lower by 1.17% compared to 'Punggi jerye'.

The characteristics of the area of Ongnyucheon described in Record of Strolling with King in the Forbidden Garden was the shape of Wiyiam expressed three-dimensional mountain such as the fence surrounding Soyojeong(逍遙亭) and the painting techniques of Fu Pi' ts'un and pond in front of Taegeukjeong(太極亭). The pond in front of Taegeukjeong(which was described by Gang Sewhang) is also identified in Donggwoldo(東闕圖) and this study judged that the pond was removed during the maintenance process of Ongnyucheon, where was scheduled as the place of entertainment when Chinggyong-Yesik(稱慶禮式: Royal court rites) was held to celebrate the 40th anniversary of King Gojong's reign. The characteristics of the whole area of Mangchunjeong where was the attraction point for flower viewing in the forbidden garden was surrounded by the sculptured fence, and Mangchunjeong which was hexagonal structure was located in the inside of the structure on both sides of the main building. The cornerstone was carved with white jade. Also a corridor assumed as Chunhyanggak(天香閣) was adjacent to Mangchunjeong. Gang Sehwang confirmed the space organization appeared in Donggwoldo by describing the attached building of Pyemwoosa, Taichungmun, and surrounding fence in detail.
A mobile phone became the practical necessities of Chinese life that can not be explained without a mobile phone as it is rapidly popularized in China in recent years. As income increases due to economic growth, so did desire to buy better products. And This desire has made consumers in China more concerned about design and consequently leads to artistic design of a mobile phone. And also this trend is getting linked to people's personalisation in that people prefer rather to choose products they like than standardized ones in the middle of a variety of cultural inflows. This study mainly focuses on the development of the characterized mobile phone with a high class brand by use of traditional elements and of design identity of a mobile phone with Chines style that is well harmonized with cultural and personalized identity as consumers' preferences are quite different from each other depending on each country's culture. For this, this study investigates traditional elements such as patterns, colors and characters as well as development and features of the mobile phone design. This will also lead to the development of a mobile phone with traditional elements of China by studying utilization of design with traditional patterns. To do this, the study analyzes to research traditional patterns(Dragon, Phoenix, Peony, Lotus Flower), colors(Red, Yellow, Blue, Black, White) and historical origin and concept of characters. The study also looks into instances and personalisation of mobile phone design by analyzing literatures.

In this study, the "Insect Smart Farm Air Conditioning System" is designed and proposed for the control of breeding environment of Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis larvae. The proposed "Insect Smart Farm Air Conditioning System" separates the breeding room from the air conditioning room. It is a system that creates an environment optimized for breeding and distributes it into a breeding room. When controlling the environment through air-conditioning and humidifiers in insect farms, temperature and humidity vary from part of the breeding room to part. The solution to the problem can be suggested as a solution to the difficulty of producing white-spotted flower mounds of uniform size and weight when selling edible insects. By using the "Insect Smart Farm Air Conditioning System," the temperature difference can be reduced by 6℃ and the humidity difference by 24.7% compared to the environmental control of existing insect farms. The temperature and humidity of different parts of the breeding room were improved. Provide the optimal environment of Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis larvae at all times and ensure uniform CO2 concentration. It can be expected to increase output through annual production and increase income for insect farmers. The proposed "Insecting Smart Farm Air Conditioning System" also controls the set temperature, humidity and CO2. Environmental control of the breeding of other edible insects and the reproduction of mushrooms that require environmental control in breeding or breeding will also be possible.
A movie is a fiction made on a basis of an author's and a writer's imagination, but all sorts of properties mixed with each other and most realistically expresses the era which becomes the background of a movie and acts as a carrier that connects designers with consumers. Thus, this study was carried out to review how the fashion products that designer's intention and commercial value added are expressed in collections by comparing and analysing the costumes in the movie "The Great Gatsby" that described the life of America's upper-class in 1920s and the 04 S/S Y&Kei collection which were proceeding after getting inspiration from this movie. For this, literature materials were inspected in order to make a theoretical review on social and cultural background and costumes history background in 1920s and the photo materials on movie costume were collected and analysed using DVD video captures, as well as the photo materials on 04 S/S Y&Kei were collected and analyzed through the institute providing domestic fashion information. The following conclusion was deduced through this study. First, in 1920s which becomes the background of this study, the slim shape of Flapper which looks like a young and boy became an ideal figure condition and the straight silhouette with low waist line and the short skirt that rose to knee was popular. Second, as a result of analysing movie costume by classifying it in silhouette, colors, and materials, straight silhouette of low waistline with a near colored - tone seen in the pastel series, including white, beige, pink, and gray was mainly constituted and the metal colors like silver and gold were used. As a material, chiffon, satin, velvet, flower patterned prints, and beads were used, which represented luxurious life of women in the upper classes. Third, as a result of comparing and analysing, it turned out that there was a similarity. However, in dress collection for a heroine, some dissimilarity differentiated from a movie costumes was found out in that the dresses in collection expressed moderate beauty and modernism and elegant beauty at the same time by matching a variety of materials and using black color.
The costumes on a royal ceremony and the changes thereafter during the Korea Empire(1897-1910) have been elucidated through the review on the paintings on Queen Myong-Hun's 70th birthday celebration and the prospectus of the ceremony. Queen Myong-Hyn wore ceremonial gown in deep blue with 51 embroidered phoenix on it. The deep blue color the royal color in the Korea Empire replaced former red color. Go-jong wore violet crown and ceremonial suit in gold color. Twenty one kinds of court dance were offered during the celebration ceremony. Costumes therein appear to have an order according to the role ofdancers. most female dancers(in 17 performances not else-where specified) wore a rather common cos-tume-flower cap outer silk garent in green hand veils in 5 colors silk skirt in red) embroidered silk belt in red and shoes in green. In Sun-you-ak two female lead dancers were red hat decorated with tiger whisker deep blue outer garment wide red belt silk boots in black bow and arrows on back and a sword and a whip in hands. In Choonaang-jon a fe-male solo dancer wore a silk outer garment in yellow silk skirt in red green lorum embroidered silk belt in red wrist band of gold embroidered red silk and 5 color hand veils. In Yon-wha-dae two young girl dancers wore lotus-form crown green outer garment wide pants in red silk red silk skirt red silk belt hand veils in jade color and silk shoes in deep red. In Moo-go 4 female dancers each wore long waist coat in blue red white and warm light green in addition to the above-mentioned common costume. In Gumkee-moo 4 female dancers wore hatlike wool helmet outer garment with narrow sleeve long silk waist coat in blue combat belt in deep blue silk and dance swords in both hands. In Youk-wha-dae 6 female dancers each wore a long waist cost in red deep blue violet pale pink green and jade color. Green color of outer garment in the above-mentioned common costume of female dancers appears intersting. Although the color was shown as yellow in the screen paintings actually it was green as evidenced by the prospectus of the celeebration ceremony.
This study was carried out to evaluate the antifungal and antioxidative activities of ethanol extracts from Magnoliaceae to investigate the possibility for the natural fungicides and food preservatives. The antifungal activities of ethanol extracts were evaluated as a hyphal growth inhibition rate using four plant pathogenic and five wood rot fungi. The high inhibition activity on the growth of fungi was shown in bark of Magnolia obovata that indicated more than 50% hyphal growth inhibition rate except Trametes versicolor, one of the white rot fungi. The antifungal activity was the highest in the ethanol extracts from M. obovata and the following was in order of M. kobus and M. sieboldii. The extract from bark in M. obovata showed higher antifungal activity than that from wood in the same species. Especially, the extracts from flower of M. denudata and M. liliflora indicated the high antifungal activities, while the other portions of same plants showed the low activities. On the other hand, a free radical scavenging method was adopted with 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrohydrazyl (DPPH) in order to test the antioxidative activities of ethanol extracts. The free radical scavenging activity was very high in the extracts from branch of Schizandra nigra and Kadsura japonica that showed more than 90% at the concentration of 100 ${\mu}g/m{\ell}$. It also turned out that the antioxidative activity of branch of S. nigra and K. japonica was similar to ${\alpha}$-tocopherol and butylated hydroxytoluene, one of the effective synthetic antioxidants. From these results, it can be suggested that the branches of S. nigra and K. japonica have the positive antioxidative activities and can be applied for the food preservatives and cosmetic ingredient.
