The purpose of this study is to present a method for determining the k most vital arcs in shortest path problem using an evolutionary algorithm. The problem of finding the k most vital arcs in shortest path problem is to find a set of k arcs whose simultaneous removal from the network causes the greatest increase in the total length of shortest path. The problem determining the k most vital arcs in shortest path problem has known as NP-hard. Therefore, in order to deal with the problem of real world the heuristic algorithm is needed. In this study we propose to the method of finding the k-MVA in shortest path problem using an evolutionary algorithm which known as the most efficient algorithm among heuristics. For this, the expression method of individuals compatible with the characteristics of shortest path problem, the parameter values of constitution gene, size of the initial population, crossover rate and mutation rate etc. are specified and then the effective genetic algorithm will be proposed. The method presented in this study is developed using the library of the evolutionary algorithm framework (EAF) and then the performance of algorithm is analyzed through the computer experiment.

This paper is concerned with stereo vision-based approach to detect obstacles and to generate the path of destination from the start. The hexapod robot in the experiment is cable of walking by legs and driving by wheels simultaneously. The hexapod robot operates under the driving mode normally, and it changes driving mode to walking mode to overcome obstacles using its legs. Disparity map, which is the correlation between two images taken by stereo camera, is employed for calculation of the distance between the robot and obstacles. When the obstacles information is extracted from the disparity map, the potential field algorithm is applied to create the obstacle-avoidance path. Simulator, based on OpenGL, is developed to generate the graphical path, and the experimental results are shown for the verification of the proposed algorithm.

The flow turning process, an incremental forming process, is a cost-effective forming method for axi-symmetric intricate parts to net shape. However, the flow turning process shows a fairly complicated deformation, it is very difficult to obtain satisfactory results. Therefore extensive experimental and analytical research has not been carried out. In this study, an fundamental experiment was conducted to improve productivity with process parameters such as tool path, angle of roller holder($\alpha$), feed rate(v ) and comer radius of forming roller(Rr). These factors were selected as variables in the experiment because they were most likely expected to have an effect on spring back. The clearance was controlled in order to achieve the precision product which is comparable to deep drawing one. And also thickness and diameter distributions of a multistage cup obtained by flow turning process were observed and compared with those of a commercial product produced by conventional deep drawing.

The spinning is a very effective manufacturing technology for short production runs in a variety of sizes and shapes, because it can form the cross-section or tubular parts various shapes. However extensive experimental and analytical research has not been carried out. In this study, and fundamental experiment was conducted to improve productivity with process parameter such as tool path, angle of roller holder(a), feed rate(v) and corner radius of forming roller(Rr). These factors were selected as variables in the experiment because they were most likely expected to have and effect on spring back. The clearance was controlled in order to achieve the precision product which is comparable to deep drawing one. And also thickness and diameter distribution of a multistage cup obtained by shear spinning process were observed and compared with those of a commercial product produced by conventional deep drawing.
Purpose - Robot path planning, a constrained optimization problem, has been an active research area with many methods developed to tackle it. This study proposes the use of a Rapidly-exploring Random Tree and Particle Swarm Optimizer algorithm for path planning. Research design, data, and methodology - The grid method is built to describe the working space of the mobile robot, then the Rapidly-exploring Random Tree algorithm is applied to obtain the global navigation path and the Particle Swarm Optimizer algorithm is adopted to obtain the best path. Results - Computer experiment results demonstrate that this novel algorithm can rapidly plan an optimal path in a cluttered environment. Successful obstacle avoidance is achieved, the model is robust, and performs reliably. The effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated through simulation studies. Conclusions - The findings could provide insights to the validity and practicability of the method. This method makes it is easy to build a model and meet real-time demand for mobile robot navigation with a simple algorithm, which results in a certain practical value for distribution environments.

Current electronic products are dominated by the laser processing and the application will be extended this time. Especially, demands for high precision laser processing with a large area has been increasing for a number of applications such as in solar cell battery, display parts, electronic component and automobile industry. In this paper we designed an on-the-fly system for ultrafast/high precision/large area laser processing. In addition, we have developed the path algorithm for large area. Expansion of the area in which laser processing is an important factor to handle the ultrafast/wide area processing, it will require a processing path. Processing path is path of 2- axis stage and stage of change in velocity can be smooth as possible. We proposed a path of the user concept using NURBS(Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline)method. Through our experiment with the chopper, was to prove the continuity of edge parts. Through basic shape experiments, we proved that large area can be processed using laser. We developed a simulation tool using Visual C++.
In applications which are covered wide range, it is possible that one or more number of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) squadrons are used to perform a mission. In this case, it is most important to communicate seamlessly between the UAV squadrons. In this paper, we applied the modified OLSR(OSLR-Pds) which can prediction for state of the link for the communication in UAV squadron, and applied the modified AOMDV which can build multi-path for the communication between UAV Squadrons. The mobility of nodes are modeled using Gauss-Markov algorithm, and relative speed between nodes were calculated by derive equation of movement, and thereby we can predict link state for in a squadron and between squadrons. An experiment for comparing AODV, AOMDV and the proposed routing protocol was conducted by three factors such as packet delivery ratio, end to end delay, and routing overhead. In experiment result, we make sure that the proposed protocol performance are superior in these three factors. However, if the density of the nodes constituting FANET are too low, and if the moving speed of node is very slow, there is no difference to others protocols.
Passive type mufflers installed on every car haute inherent problem of lowering engine power and fuel efficiency caused by backpressure which is byproduct of complex internal structure. Recent improvements like installing a calve to change exhaust gas path depending on power requirement and rpm have only marginally improved performance. Tremendous amount of recent research works on active exhaust noise control have failed to commercialize because of numerous physical and economical reasons. In this paper, a unique seal-active muffler using difference of transmission paths is presented. In this system exhaust pipe is divided into two and joined again downstream. Exhaust noise is reduced by destructive interference when two-divided noise join again with transmission paths'difference which is half of the wavelength of a main noise frequency. One divided path has a sliding mechanism to change length thereby transmission path length difference is adjusted to entwine rpm change. The proposed system has minimal backpressure and does not need a secondary sound source like a speaker so it can overcome many problems of failed active noise control methods. We have verified proposed system's superior performance by simulation and comparison experiment with passive mufflers.
Sensors have limited resources in sensor networks, so efficient use of energy is important. In order to use the energy of the sensor node efficiently, researches applying mobile sink to the sensor network have been actively carried out. The sink node moves the sensor network, collects data from each sensor node, which spread the energy concentrated around the sink node, thereby extending the entire life cycle of the network. But, when the sink node moves, it requires a reset of the data transmission path, which causes a lot of control messages and delays. In this paper, we propose a CMS(Cluster-based Mobile Sink) method to support the movement of mobile sink in a cluster sensor environment. The proposed scheme minimizes an amount of control messages without resetting the routing paths of entire sensor networks by supporting the sink mobility path using the neighbor cluster list. And, it simplifies the routing path setup process by setting a single hop path between clusters without a gateway. The experiment results show that the proposed scheme has superior energy efficiency in processing and network structure, compared with existing clustering and mesh routing protocols.
Selective Laser Sintering(SLS) method is one of Rapid Prototyping(RP) technologies. It has been used to fabricate desirable part to sinter powder and stack the fabricated layer. Since the sintering process occurs using infrared laser having high thermal energy, shrinkage and curling of the fabricated part occurs according to thermal distribution. Therefore, the fast scanning path generation is necessary to eliminate the factors of quality deterioration. In case of fabricating larger size parts, the unique scanning device and scanning path generation should be considered. In this paper, the development of SLS machines being capable of large size fabrication(800${\times}$1000${\times}$800 mm, W${\times}$D${\times}$H) will be addressed. The dual laser system and the unique scanning device have been designed and built, which employ CO2 lasers and dynamic 3-axis scanners. The developed system allows scanning a larger planar surface with the desired laser spot size. Also, to generate the fast scanning paths, adaptive path generation is needed with respect to the shape of each layer, and not simply x, y scanning, but the scanning of arbitrary direction should be enabled. To evaluate the suggested method, the complex part will be used for the experiment fabrication.
