In this paper, big free standing metal structures for electrostatic MEMS switches are easily fabricated using photoresist sacrificial layer. The entire process sequence, through the removal of the sacrificial layer, is kept below 150 $^{\circ}C$ to avoid curing problem of photoresist sacrificial layer. Metal structure is fabricated by thermal evaporator and a self test electrode is fabricated underlying metal suspended structure for testing by electrostatic force. The new wet release process is considered using methanol rinse, general wet release process cause stiction problem by capillary force during drying, and the yield is dramatically improved than previous wet release process using DI water rinse. The fabrication becomes much simpler and cheaper with use of a photoresist sacrificial layer.
Matrix tablets of nifedipine (NP) were prepared with Eudragit, diluent (lactose or Ca. phosphate) and Mg. stearate employing two different preparation methods (wet granulation and direct compression) to develop its sustained-release dosage forms. The effects of various formulation factors on the dissolution rate of the drug were investigated. Dissolution test was studied in pH 6.8 phosphate buffer containing 1% sodium lauryl sulfate using the paddle method. Formulation factors were the type and content of Eudragit, the type of diluent and the tablet preparation method. The optimum formula of NP matrix tablet, which resulted in a similar dissolution profile to that from Adalat Oros used as a reference, was 30 mg NP, 10% Eudragit RS, 2% Mg. stearate and an adequate quantity of lactose to yield 500 mg weight using the wet granulation method.

Effect of solvents on physical characteristics and release characteristics of monolithic acetaminophen (APAP) hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) matrix granules and tablets were examined. Various types and amounts of solvents were employed for granulation and coating. APAP and other excipients were mixed and were then wet-granulated in a high-speed mixer. The dried granules were then directly compressed and film-coated with low viscosity grade HPMC. As the amount of water increased, the size of granules also increased, showing more spherical and regular shape. However, manufacturing problems such as capping and lamination in tableting occurred when water was used alone as a granulating solvent. The physical properties of HPMC matrix granules were not affected by the batch size. The initial release rate as well as the amount of APAP dissolved had a tendency to decrease as the water level increased. Addition of nonaqueous solvent like ethanol to water resulted in good physical properties of granules. When compared to water/ethanol as a coating solvent, the release rate of film-coated HPMC matrix tablets was more sensitive to the conditions of coating and drying in methylene chloride/ethanol. Most of all, monolithic HPMC matrix tablet when granulated in ethanol/water showed dual release with about $50\%$ drug release immediately within few minutes followed by extended release. It was evident that the type and amount of solvents (mainly water and ethanol) were very important for wet granulation and film-coating of monolithic HPMC matrix tablet, because the plastic deforming and fragmenting properties of material were changed by the different strengths of the different solvents.
Heat storage/release system in textile is a useful tool to increase energy efficiency and enhance comfortable microclimate of clothing. Phase change materials(PCM) are used in regulating storage and release properties of thermal energy. To investigate the temperature regulating ability of fabrics with PCM microcapsule(PCMMc), Nylon fabrics were coated with PCMMc via wet processing and they were characterized by SEM, DSC and infrared thermal analyzer. Also, water moisture transpiration, water penetration resistance, peel strength and washing durability of the fabrics were assessed. The water vapor permeation and water penetration resistance decreased with increasing PCMMc content. In DSC analysis, it can be seen that the microencapsulated fabric showed both exothermic md endothermic phenomena at specific temperature. Peel strength was decreased with increasing PCMMc content.

Background: Nutrient release during litter decomposition was investigated in Vitex doniana, Terminalia avecinioides, Sarcocephallus latifolius, and Parinari curatellifolius in Makurdi, Benue State Nigeria (January 10 to March 10 and from June 10 to August 10, 2016). Leaf decomposition was measured as loss in mass of litter over time using the decay model Wt/W0 = e-kd t, while $Kd=-{\frac{1}{t}}In({\frac{Wt}{W0}})$ was used to evaluate decomposition rate. Time taken for half of litter to decompose was measured using T50 = ln 2/k; while nutrient accumulation index was evaluated as $NAI=(\frac{{\omega}t\;Xt}{{\omega}oXo})$. Results: Average mass of litter remaining after exposure ranged from 96.15 g, (V. doniana) to 78.11 g, (S. lafolius) in dry (November to March) and wet (April to October) seasons. Decomposition rate was averagely faster in the wet season (0.0030) than in the dry season (0.0022) with P. curatellifolius (0.0028) and T. avecinioides (0.0039) having the fastest decomposition rates in dry and wet seasons. Mean residence time (days) ranged from 929 to 356, while the time (days) for half the original mass to decompose ranged from 622 to 201 (dry and wet seasons). ANOVA revealed highly significant differences (p < 0.01) in decomposition rates and exposure time (days) and a significant interaction (p < 0.05) between species and exposure time in both seasons. Conclusion: Slow decomposition in the plant leaves implied carbon retention in the ecosystem and slow release of CO2 back to the atmosphere, while nitrogen was mineralized in both seasons. The plants therefore showed effectiveness in nutrient cycling and support productivity in the ecosystem.
Gravity pressure vessels find their use in the wet oxidation of sewage sludge, which can be defined as the oxidation of organic and inorganic substances in an aqueous solution or suspension by means of oxygen or air at elevated pressures and temperatures. Numerical analyses were carried out for investigating the flow characteristics and wet air oxidation in the reaction vessel with various conditions such as supply oxidation and the supply positions of oxidation, etc. Wet air oxidation is promoted in the vicinity of bottom in the reactor with increase of oxygen supply. Also, it is the best condition to the oxidation supply position of 150 m and oxidation flow of 0.06 kg/s in the GPV reactor as the remnant of sludge and creation of organic acids.
The processing conditions for the mass production of platelet WS$_2$ lubricant powder were optimized. The mixture of tungsten and sulfur powders was sealed in a vacuum of 10$^{-3}$ torr and heat-treated at 850$\circ$C for 2 h. The internal pressure of reaction chamber was maintained at certain level by controlling the release valve automatically. The reaction product was the platelet WS$_2$ powder with an average size of 15 $\mu$m. The synthesized WS$_2$ powder was then coated on the wiper-blade of automobiles and the commercial deep-grooved ball bearing using wet and dry coating methods, respectively. High lubricity and wear resistance of wet coated wiper-blade were confirmed by the life test of 70,000 cycles. The life-time of the ball bearing assembled after WS$_2$ coating onto each part increased 50 times compared to the non-coated ball bearing.
In order to develop a controlled-release oral drug delivery system (DDS) which sustains the plasma acetaminophen (AAP) concentration for a certain period of time, microporous membrane-coated tablets were prepared and evaluated in vitro. Firstly, highly water-soluble core tablet of AAP were prepared with various formulations by wet granulation and compression technique. Then the core tablets were coated with polyvinychloride (PVC) in which micronized sucrose particles were dispersed. Effect of formula compositions of core tablets and coating suspensions on the pharmaceutical characteristics such as drug release kinetics and membrane stability of the coated tablets was investigated in vitro. AAP was released from the coated tablets as a zero-order rate in a pH-independent manner. This independency of AAP release to pH change from 1.2 to 7.2 is favorable for the controlled oral drug delivery, since it will produce a constant drug release in the stomach and intestine regardless of the pH change in the GI tract. Drug release could be extended upto 10 h according to the coating condition. The release rate could be controlled by changing the formula compositions of the core tablets and coating suspensions, coat weight per each tablet, and especially PVC/sucrose ratio and particle size of the sucrose in the coating suspension. The coated tablets prepared in this study had a fairly good pharmaceutical characteristics in vitro, however, overall evaluation of the coated tablet should await in vivo absorption study in man.
In this paper, novel release technique using wet etch is proposed. The results of this technique and the results of SAMs (Self-Assembled monolayers) coated after release using this technique are compared. Fabricated structure have 100 um in width and experimental length is from 100 um to 1 mm. Thickness of aluminum sacrificial layer is 2 um and structure thickness is 2.5 um. Cantilevers and bridges are fabricated with electroplated gold and silicon nitride deposited on substrate. An aluminium sacrificial layer was evaporated thermally and removed in various wet etching solutions. Detachment length of cantilever is 200 um and detachment length of bridge is 1 mm after isooctane rinsing. And the SAMs coating condition which is appropriate for gold and nitride are studied respectively.
