평면연삭(平面硏削)에서 주파수(周波數) 분석(分析)에 의한 표면(表面) 거칠기 해석(解釋) (A Study on the Surface Roughness in Grinding Process by Frequency Analysis)

  • This paper is to analyze the surface roughness in wet and dry surface grinding in which working conditions are table feed, cross feed and down feed. FFT analyzer is used to identify the surface roughness and the data of surface roughness are stored and displayed using an interfaced computer. In results, components affecting surface roughness exist within 200Hz with respect the conditions and methods of grinding operation. Also, with increase of table feed, cross feed and down feed, the value of surface roughness increases. Of them, cross feed has first influence on surface roughness. In dry, preciser surface can be obtained than one in wet.

벌 화분에서 습식 나노화 공정에 의한 유효성분의 추출 (Enhanced Extraction of Bioactive Compounds from Bee Pollen by Wet-grinding Technology)

  • 벌 화분은 꿀벌로부터 생산되며 자연으로부터 얻을 수 있는 가장 균형 잡힌 영양 식품으로 받아들여지고 있다. 역사적으로도 벌 화분은 질병치료와 에너지 보충의 목적으로 사용되어 왔다. 최근의 연구 결과에서는 벌 화분의 항산화, 항염증, 심지어 항암작용과 같은 다양한 생리활성이 과학적으로 규명되고 있다. 그러나 벌 화분은 exine이라는 외피로 둘러싸여 있어 강산이나 고압 그리고 소화효소 등에 매우 저항성이 강한 것으로 밝혀졌고, 이로 인하여 생체이용률이 낮아 영양공급과 임상적 이용에 제한을 받고 있다. 본 연구는 벌 화분의 외피를 분쇄할 수 있는 습식분쇄기술을 개발하여 벌 화분의 생리활성을 분석하고자 기획되었다. 먼저 습식분쇄를 통해 벌 화분의 외피가 효과적으로 분쇄됨을 현미경을 통해 확인하였다. 게다가 습식분쇄에 의해 벌 화분의 활성성분으로 잘 알려진 polyphenol 화합물의 양이 약 11배 증가하였고 ABTS 항산화 분석법과 DPPH 라디칼 소거능 시험을 통해 항산화 효과가 증가함을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 습식분쇄기술을 통해 벌 화분을 임상적 및 향장 목적으로 사용할 수 있음을 증명한다.

탄소 섬유 에폭시 복합재료의 절단 연삭 특성 (Cut-off Grinding Characteristics of the Carbon Fiber Epoxy Composite Materials)

  • Although the net-shape molding of composites is generally recommended, molded composites are frequently required cutting or grinding due to the dimensional inaccuracy for precision machine elements . During the composite machining operations such as cutting and grinding, the temperature at the cutting point may increase beyond the allowed limit due to the low thermal conductivity of composites, which might degrade the matrix of composite. Therefore, in this work, the temperature at the cutting point during cut-off grinding of carbon fiber epoxy composites was measured. The cutting force and surface roughness were also measured to investigate the cut-off grinding characteristics of the composites. The experiments were performed both under dry and wet grinding conditions with respect to cutting speed and feed rate. From the experimental investigation, the optimal conditions for the composite cut-off grinding were suggested.

규석 분말의 교반형 볼 밀 분쇄효율에 미치는 열처리의 영향 (Effect of Heating Treatment of Silica Powder on Stirred Ball Milling Efficiency)

  • 교반형 볼 밀에서 실리카 분말의 열처리에 따른 분쇄효율을 분쇄에 따른 에너지 소비량을 측정함으로써 조사하였다. 열처리를 행한 것과 행하지 않은 시료를 비교해 보면, 600~90$0^{\circ}C$에서 열처리 후 실온에서 냉각된 시료를 건식 분쇄하였을 경우 약 40~50% 정도, 열처리 후 물속에서 급속 냉각한 경우 약 52~62% 정도의 에너지의 감소 효과가 있었다. 또한 열처리한 실리카 분말을 습식 분쇄를 할 경우 건식 분쇄에 비하여 약 40% 정도의 분쇄에너지가 적게 소모되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 실리카 분말을 열처리 한 후, 급속 냉각할 경우 발생하는 열충격은 입도에 대한 영향을 거의 받지 않으며 분쇄효과를 향상시킴을 알 수 있었다.

습식분쇄하여 분무건조한 초미세 분말 칼슘의 품질특성 (Quality Characteristics of Spray Drying Microparticulated Calcium after Wet-grinding)

  • 해조칼슘을 습식분쇄한 초미세액상칼슘을 분무건조하여 부형제 종류에 따른 분말칼슘의 품질특성을 알아보고자 gum arabic, cyclodextrin, Na-caseinate를 첨가하여 품질특성을 비교하였다. 분무건조한 초미세분말칼슘의 수분함량은 2% 내외의 안정한 분말을 얻을 수 있었고, 색도는 원료인 해조칼슘보다 L값은 높았으며, b값은 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 입자크기는 당류의 부형제 첨가로 초미세 크기로 분쇄되는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, gum arabic을 첨가하여 제조한 초미세액상칼슘을 분무건조한 분말이 식초와 pH에 대한 용해도에서 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 칼슘함량은 해조칼슘분말이 28%의 칼슘함량을 나타내었고, 부형제를 달리하여 제조한 초미세액상칼슘을 분무건조한 분말은 27% 내외로 비슷한 칼슘함량을 나타내어, 습식분쇄나 분무건조 공정에서 칼슘의 손실은 없는 것으로 나타났다. 흡습에 대한 안정성실험에서는 해조칼슘분말이 흡습에 안정하였으며, gum arabic을 첨가하여 분무건조한 분말이 흡습이 많이 발생하였다. 전자주사 현미경 관찰을 통하여 습식분쇄로 입자크기가 작아지는 것을 확인할 수 있었고, gum arabic을 사용하여 얻은 초미세칼슘분말이 단백질계나 사용하지 않았을 때보다 더 균일한 입자분포를 보였다. 따라서 습식분쇄한 초미세액상칼슘을 분말화하여 용해성등 품질특성이 개선됨을 확인하였으며 습식분쇄기술과 분무건조법을 식품가공기술로 활용할 수 있는 가능성을 확보하였다.

유성 볼밀을 사용한 MWCNT와 Al2O3의 혼합 분쇄 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Grinding Characteristic of MWCNT and Al2O3 Composite by Using Planetary Ball Mill)

  • The present paper focuses on the fabrication of materials with higher thermal conductivity. Nanofluid is a novel transfer prepared by dispersing nanometer-sized solid particles in traditional heat transfer fluid to increase thermal conductivity and heat transfer performance. The purpose of this study is making the nano-size particle. The experiment of MWCNT and $Al_2O_3$ was carried out using a planetary ball mill at several rotation speeds: 200 ~ 400 rpm. The results were examined using scanning electron microscope(SEM). In the case of the MWCNT, it could be more grinding into the small particle in the dry condition and it confirm in the case of the $Al_2O_3$ to be more grinding into the small particle contrary to the MWCNT in the wet condition. In the mixture grinding result of MWCNT and $Al_2O_3$, the dry condition showed the good result in low rotation speed than the wet condition.

  • As a case study on aspect ratio behavior, Kaolin, zeolite, $TiO_2$, pozzolan and diatomaceous earth minerals are investigated using wet milling with 0.3 pai media. The grinding process using small media of 0.3 pai is suitable for current work processing applications. Primary particles with average particle size distribution D50, ${\sim}6{\mu}m$ are shifted to submicron size, D50 ${\sim}0.6{\mu}m$, after grinding. Grinding of particles is characterized by various size parameters such as sphericity as geometric shape, equivalent diameter, and average particle size distribution. Herein, we systematically provide an overview of factors affecting the primary particle size reduction. Energy consumption for grinding is determined using classical grinding laws, including Rittinger's and Kick's laws. Submicron size is obtained at maximum frictional shear stress. Alterations in properties of wettability, heat resistance, thermal conductivity, and adhesion increase with increasing particle surface area. In the comparison of the aspect ratio of the submicron powder, the air heat conductivity and the total heat release amount increase 68 % and 2 times, respectively.

분쇄효과가 $LaAlO_3$세라믹스에 미치는 영향 (Effect of grinding on Lanthanum Aluminate Ceramics)

  • The effect of grinding on the synthesis of LaAO$_3$ceramics was investigated. The mixture ground by plantary ball mill showed 70nm particle size (wet ball mill or unground=0.5 $\mu$m). Monophase LaAlO$_3$powders were formed when ground samples were heated at 100$0^{\circ}C$, however unground samples required temperatures above 130$0^{\circ}C$. Density of the ground samples sintered at 140$0^{\circ}C$ showed 98.3% of theoretical density (unground=93.5% at 150$0^{\circ}C$). Dielectric constant of the ground samples($\varepsilon$r=22.4) showed higher values than that of the unground samples($\varepsilon$r=20.32). Temperature coefficient of capacitance($\tau$$_{c}$) and dielectric loss (tan$\delta$) of the ground samples were similar to those of unground samples.s.

건식과 습식 제분조건에 따른 멥쌀가루의 특성 (The Properties of Rice Flours Prepared by Dry and Wet Milling Method)

  • The purpose of this research was to compare the physicochemical compositions and morphological properties of five varieties of rice flours (RR, RGD, RSGD, RWDG, RWGD). RR was raw milled rice without washing, RGD was raw rice flour without soaking, RSGD was raw milled rice flour with 0 hr of soaking, RWDG was raw rice flour with 8 hr of soaking and grinding after drying, and RWGD was raw rice flour with 8hr of soaking and drying after grinding. The protein and lipid contents of wet milling rice flour (RSGD, RWDG, RWGD) were significantly lower than those of dry milling rice flour (RR, RGD). L and a values were significantly increased in wet milling rice flour, and b value was significantly increased in dry milling rice flour. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that RWDG and RWGD were distributed as separated fine particles in rice flours. The WBC of RWDG and RWGD were higher than those of other rice flours. Solubility was significantly increased according to the temperature, and swelling power of RWDG was higher than that of other rice flours at 50 and $60^{\circ}C$. Using RVA, the initial pasting temperature and setback of RWDG were lower and the peak viscosities of RSGD and RWDG were higher than those of other rice flours. Using a mixograph, peak times were not significantly different among the groups, wheras peak heights were significantly decreased in RSGD, RWDG, and RWGD. The peak width of RWGD was lower than those of other rice flours. Based on these findings, RWDG flour was less damaged, and had a lower setback and pasting temperature, which makes it an appropriate rice flour for commercial mass production.
