미국 빅토리안 웨딩드레스의 디자인과 제작기법 연구 (A Study on Victorian Wedding Dress Design and Making Techniques of America)

  • The objectives of this study are to select and analyze unpublished wedding dresses in the 19th century, to investigate the design characteristics and making techniques of Victorian wedding dresses, and to examine the correlation between the wedding dress style and the fashion style in those days and the influence of the wedding dress style on contemporary's styles. The materials of this study were 9 wedding dresses owned by the Historical Costume and Textile Collection at the University of Connecticut in USA. The dresses were made during the mid and late Victorian Age. As for silhouette, the bustle style was popular in the 1870s and 1880s, and the hourglass style in the 1890s, and different from contemporary dresses there were no big differences in structural pattern and details between ordinary dresses and wedding dresses. In addition, colored wedding dresses were used until the mid and late Victorian Age, but since the wedding ceremony of Queen Victoria in 1840, white wedding dress was widely accepted and settled as the tradition of today's wedding dresses. While the Western dress style had been basically a one piece style, there appeared simple two piece designs in which the upper garment was separated from the lower one, from the mid Victorian Age. This is considered the reflection of those days' pragmatic social trend in dress style. It seems around 1875 when asymmetric design was first introduced in the Western dress style, which had been mostly symmetric. The asymmetric style that pursued atypical beauty, though not common during the late Victorian Age, shows a change in the typical Western dress style. With regard to dress making techniques, sewing machines were distributed widely during the early Victorian Age but they were not used in all parts of dress. Most of details and trimming works were done manually and some parts were attached and detached by hand sewing. In addition, not like today, there were no generalized rules of making such as the form of closings and composition.

노인의 특성과 인지연령에 따른 주거공간의 인테리어 스타일에 대한 선호 차이 - 침실과 거실공간을 중심으로 - (Preference Difference for Interior Style of Residential Space Depending on the Elderly' Characteristics and Cognitive Ages - Focused on Bedroom and Living room -)

  • Housing for the elderly should be planned on the base of elder's needs and preferences as well as their physical, emotional, and socio-psychological characteristics. This study examined the interior style of bedroom and living room the elderly preferred and these preferences are significantly different depending on their characteristics and cognitive ages, or not. This study was carried out by face to face interview with a questionnaire and 6 colored printed 3D images. The subjects were 202 old aged who lives in Busan. The interior style of bedroom and living room were classified into 3 styles; Korean traditional style, Western classical style, and modern style. The subjects made a choice their preferred interior style among three 3D images per each room and answered the reasons. Also, they answered their cognitive ages and general characteristics, and their preferences for the layout of living room-dining room-kitchen, use pattern, floor finishes, and furniture of bedroom and living room. The results were as follows; 1) The subjects preferred bed in bedroom and sofa in living room. Also, they wanted to finish the floor of bedroom and living room by using synthetic material, traditional floor paper, and wood. 2) The elderly preferred Western classical style of bedroom. The reasons were general mood such as warm, comfort, or bright, and the color. 3) These preferred styles were not any significant differences according to their characteristics and cognitive ages. 4) They preferred Korean traditional style, Western classical style, and modern style, in order. They preferred them for their general mood and window. 5) Their preferred styles were significantly different according to their housing types and cognitive ages.

한국 양잠부녀자의 의복변천에 관한 연구 (The Clothes Tendensy of Korean Sericultural Women)

  • 양잠농촌 부녀자들의 의복 꼭 변천과정을 구명하기 위하여 전국에서 임의로 선택한 양잠농촌부녀자 총 183 명을 대상으로 1961년∼1969년까지 3년간에 걸쳐 신조한 의복(양복 한복)을 조사하여 연령별 연도별로 비교 검토한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 양복신조율은 한복에 비하여 2배정도 높았으며 젊은 층일수록 이 비율이 높았다. 연도별로는 점차양복이 한복에 비해증가되는 경향을 보였다. 2. 의복의 유형은 양복에서는 브라우스, 원피스, 스카트가 대부분이었고 한복에서는 저고리와 치마가 거의 전부를 차지하였다. 년도별로는 점차 원피스가 많아지는 경향을 보였다. 3. 의복 제조방법은 자가 제조나 기성복은 적었고 대부분이 맞춤이었다. 이를 연령별로 보면 자가제조와 기성복은 연장자일수록 젊은 층보다 더 많았다. 4. 착용 계절별로는 양복은 하절에 한복은 동절에 많았고 복종별로는 하절에는 원피스 춘추에는 투프스가 많았으며 치마는 계절에 따른 변화가 거의 없었다, 5. 의복종류별로 보면 양복은 폴리에스텔과 이의 혼방물이 가장 많았고 견직물이 가장 적었으며 한복은 이와 반대로 견직물과 견사혼방물이 많았다. 년도에 따라서는 합성섬유가 점차 증가되는 경향을 보였다. 6. 기호색은 양복에서는 백색, 청색, 갈색, 흑색의 순이었고, 한복은 백색, 청색, 녹색, 회색의 순이었다. 연령별로는 젊은 층일수록 색의 선택이 다양하였고, 연도별로는 뚜렷한 차이를 인정할 수 없었다.

여대생의 라이프스타일에 따른 화장품충동구매와 성격특성 및 자아이미지의 비교 (Comparison on Cosmetic Impulse Buying, Personality Characteristic, and Self-image of College Women Based on Lifestyle)

  • 본 연구는 여대생을 대상으로 라이프스타일에 따른 화장품충동구매와 성격특성 및 자아이미지에 대하여 살펴보았다. 라이프스타일에 따른 화장품충동구매와 성격특성 및 자아이미지를 비교분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 여대생의 라이프스타일은 지적자아충실형, 활동적사회참여형, 서구적가치추구형, 생활장식선호형, 견실적가치추구형, 소극적타인지향형, 전통적 생활 추구형으로 도출되었고, 이 중 지적자아충실형, 활동적사회참여형, 서구적 가치추구형은 중요한 차원으로 나타났다. 이러한 라이프스타일의 요인을 유형화한 결과 견실적 서구 지향형,보수적 지식 추구형, 활동적 장식 선호형, 전통적 생활 추구형으로 분류되었다. 견실적 서구 지향형과 활동적 장식 선호형은 보수적 지식 추구형과 전통적 생활 추구형 보다 충동구매성향이 강한 것으로 드러났다. 성격특성과 자아이미지는 집단 간에 의미있는 차이를 나타내었다. 따라서 이들 집단들의 심리적 특성은 충동구매에 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있다.

동해연안의 주택경관 유형별 인지 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on evaluation of recognition with type of Housing landscape in Donghae Seaside)

  • This study is derived from relation between the natural landscape and architectural landscape. The type of landscape in Donghae seaside consist of three; Road, Mountain, Seaside. And we selected three landscapes about individual housing; Western, Traditional, Modern. This paper is analyzed 18-simulation scenes, which evaluated with semantic differential method in using 12-bipolar adjectives. The results of this study are as follows(ref: table 6). 1)The housing of western style do not correspond with landscape of Road, but landscape of mountain and seaside were suitable to the western style. 2)Mountain in Donghae seaside harmonizes with housing of traditional style. 3)Even though the housing of modern style were marked low assessment in three landscape, we found out relation, modern housing was well-matched with load landscape.

20·30대 남성소비자의 라이프스타일에 따른 헤어스타일 선호도 (Man's Hair style Preference according to Lifestyle in Age 20's and 30's)

  • This study aimed to analyze man's hair style preference and lifestyle-related. A survey was made on 384 men aged 20 to 39 living in Seoul, Geonggi. Analysis of lifestyle showed that there were the most men preferring aesthetic sense-oriented lifestyles. They had a high preference for an western type face, middle length of hair, non-wave hair style in the all group by lifestyle. The long hair and wave hair style were more preferred by the fashion-oriented than the others. The plans by this study were as follows. Firstly, it is necessary to develop the hair style which complements into the western type face and the hair style by the length of growing hair. In addition, the internetmarketing by manly internet information-oriented group will be a help to marketing strategies.

트르판의 복식에 관한 연구 -고창을 중심으로- (A study on the Turfan's costume -Centering around Kochang-)

  • The costume style of Turfan had changed three times which were the period of peculiar style the period of Kochang style the period of influence of T'ang's culture. Before the founding of Kochang country the costume style of Turfan was two piece style. It was a character of nomadic people's clothes. Tops were tunic and caftan. The method of adjust caftan were two types. The one is wrapping toward left so the right edge of the top covers the left. The other is wrapping toward right. Bottoms were pants and skirts. This period was characterized by the traditional style. I called in it the period of peculiar style After the founding of Kochang country style as Kochang style. In this period Silkroad was so activated that cultural exchanges between many people and materials passed through Turfan. Turfan's culture soaked up the products of civilization of chinese and western Turkestan. Chinese and western Turkestan's costume influencd under the direct control of T' ang dynasty. Such an aspects were reflected the Trufan's costume. The Trucan's costume had changed into the foreign style that was the T'ang's costume. It was the period of influence of T'ang culture.

생활한복교복의 형태분석과 의복소재 (Analysis of Shape and Materials of Saenghwal Hanbok School Uniforms)

  • Demands and attempts to express Korean traditional beauty are increasing. Some schools choose the uniform in designs expressing the image of Hanbok, but recently there is a few increment of wearing the uniforms. For the improvement of the uniforms, first of all, the shape and the clothing materials of the uniforms should be considered. We have compared and analyzed the shape and the clothing materials of the uniforms reflecting the image of Hanbok, according to seasons and clothing items. The uniforms reflecting the image of Hanbok were worn in eight schools and all of them are Saenghwal Hanbok style. The shape of Saenghwal Hanbok school uniforms showed both Korean style and western style characteristics. Korean style characteristics were expressed through the appearance-related parts while western style characteristics showed through the performance-related parts such as open/closure method, armhole pattern and straight sleeve line. It was shown that girls' uniforms are more diverse and similar to the western style uniforms than boys' uniforms. It was found that most of the clothing material were synthetic fiber or mixture of natural/synthetic fiber, and polyester was shown to be used most.

미국(美國) 북장로회(北長老會) 안동선교부(安東宣敎部) 건축형성과정(建築形成過程)에 대한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Formation of Presbyterian Missionary Architecture in Andong Area)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze and explain the formation and character of presbyterian missionary architecture in Andong area from 1900 to 1945, which we may call "the modem architecture of Korea". I have surveyed and analyzed the 26 buildings. and so, the major findings of this study are as follows. Firstly, the phase of building is 1) buy the existing Korean traditional building and lot-a thatch roofed house. 2) modify the existing Korean traditional building-a thatch and tile roofed hose. 3) build the Korean style building-a thatch and tile roofed building. 4) build the Western style Building-a timber structured and zinc roofed building. 5) build the Western style Building- a masonry structured and zinc(or tile)roofed building. Secondly, the character of building is 1) In the Korean traditional building, the missionaries change the function for their purpose-office, church, school, hospital. they modify the existing Korean timber frame construction by introducing the material-brick, plaster, glass, Japanese style timber etc .. they live in the Korean existing residential area. 2) In the Western style building, the missionaries build the house according to their life style. they build the timber structured building-church, and the masonry (brick or stone)structured building such as a house, church, school and dormitory, and hospital. their building located on the hill depart from the existing Korean residential area.

서양 역사복식에 나타난 과장적 헤어스타일의 미적 특성 연구 (A Study on the Aesthetic Characteristics of Exaggerated Hairstyle in the Western Costume)

  • This study examined a phenomenon of exaggerated hairstyle in the history of Western custom through publications related with Western costume and research papers. By adopting the criteria of Delong, M. R. to analyze visual forms shown by interaction between human body and costume worn over the body, it analyzed the formative characteristics by the interaction between hairstyle and costume. In addition, it inferred the aesthetic characteristics through content analysis of examined phenomenon focusing on socio-cultural background and costume socio-psychological precedent studies. Formative characteristics of exaggerated hairstyle applied by analysis criteria of Delong, M. R. were in pursuit of the emphasis style. This was clearly and intensively recognized by forming spaces for mostly closure style, part style, three dimensional style, determinate style, and space separation style. Regarding the interaction between hair and ornamentations, 'precedence of ornamentation' was pursued as ornamentations were recognized earlier than the hair itself. It means associative meanings of the surface effect were accompanied by emotions of 'intensiveness' and the pursuit of the attractive style. As for the interaction between hairstyle and costume, there were many cases of pursuing 'continuity' mutually and visually by connecting the hairstyle and the costume. Aesthetic characteristics of exaggerated hairstyle were inferred as 1) the expression of the sprite of the age(i.e. art, culture, politics, society, ideology, religion), 2) symbols of wealth, class, authority, and excellence, 3) pursuit of addicted desire to ornament, and 4) harmony through continuity with costume. This study verified that hairstyle was connected as a part of costume, or formed as a way to express deeper human psychology beyond just a part of a costume. It was also confirmed that hairstyle was an expressive method to express the spirit of the age, such as art, culture, society, religion, ideology.
