동력경운기(動力耕耘機) 주요부품(主要部品)의 수명추정(壽命推定)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (A Study on Life Estimation of Some Major Parts of Power Tiller)

  • Frequent breakdowns of power tiller, particularly in the peak labor constraints, have been a cause of decreasing machine productivity and its efficient utilization. To keep power tiller always ready to work, it may be necessary to identify the failure characteristics of some major parts of power tiller, and to have those parts replaced accordingly before they show the symptom of mulfunction. This study was conducted to identify the failure characteristics of some major parts of power tiller and to estimate their lives (MTBF) using a Weibull distribution function. The result showed that about half of breakdowns currently being occurred may be reduced through timely replacement of those part having wearout failure characteristics.

  • Dielectric strength of insulators made of epoxy composites rapidly decreases due to ageing to interfaces between the matrix resin and filler particles. The adhesion variation of interfaces caused by moisture absorption also alters electrical properties that are the basic characteristics of insulators, particularly, in out door use. In this paper, electrical properties of epoxy/$SiO_2$ composites were investigated at boiling absorption condition to observe that influence of moisture. The breakdown time of samples were measured under AC 6[kV] applied voltage, and the variation of lifetime was varified by using Weibull distribution function.

  • Properties of flashover in polymer insulators are very important under pollution environments. It is necessary to analyse flashover characteristics whether insulators are still safe or not. A lot of precious information can be got out of polluted polymer insulators through leakage current measurement. The behavior of partial arc discharge leads to flashover directly. It is possible to measure partial arc discharge as leakage current pulses analysis. The shape of histogram reflects degree of pollution, wetting and voltage stress level. It can be expressed by Weibull distribution function.

알루미나 세라믹스의 동적피로거동 (Dynamic Fatigue Behavior of Alumina Ceramics)

  • The dynamic fatigue behavior of alumina ceramics was observed at room temperature using four point bending system. The dynamic fatigue fracture strength and the dynamic fatigue lifetime were observed as a function of crosshead speed and the notch length. The notched specimen showed the smaller deviation in dynamic fatigue fracture strength than the unnotched specimen. The crack growth exponent n and the material constant A of the notched specimen could be represented as functions of the notch length. Fracture strength of the specimen calculated from the notch length, when the notch length was regarded as the crack size, was in good agreement with the measured 4 point bending strength. Fracture surface of the specimen showed the different fracture modes according to the crosshead speed. The four point flexural strength, fracture toughness, Young's modulus and Weibull modulus of the alumina were measured as 360 MPa, 3.91 MPa.m1/2, 159GPa, 17.64, respectively.

  • A new method of parameter determination in the fatigue residual strength degradation model is proposed. The new method and minimization technique is compared experimentally to account for the effect of tension-compression fatigue loading of spheroidal graphite cast iron and graphite/epoxy laminate. It is shown that the correlation between the experimental results and the theoretical prediction on the fatigue life and residual strength distribution using the proposed method is very reasonable. Therefore, the proposed method is more adjustable in the determination of the parameter than minimization technique for the prediction of the fatigue characteristics.

  • Degradation diagnosis of XLPE insulated URD cables was accomplished through out new method. which was to be analyzed non-electrical experiments and synthesized by degradation points. To supplement this method, it was also carried out using several electrical analyses. Breakdown voltages were measured and breakdown lifetimes were Predicted appling for Weibull distribution function. As a result, breakdown lifetime in failure cables was shorted up to 1/3 times than that in general cables. It was very available to estimate cable degradation using above method, but it needs further study on XLPE insulated URD cables in order to improve reliability.

  • This paper deals with two economic optimal designs of constant-stress accelerated life test(ALT) where failure distribution follows one of location-scale family, i. e., exponential, Weibull, and lognormal distributions which have been ones of the popular choices of failure distributions. Two optimization criteria to develop ALT plans are the statistical efficiency per unit expected cost which consists of the fixed test cost, cost being proportional to the number of test units, and variable test cost depending on test period and stress level, and the expected loss which combines Taguchi's quadratic loss function and expected test cost. Optimum plan determines the low stress level, test units allocated to each stress, and censoring times at two stress levels under Type I censoring. The proposed ALT plans are illustrated with a numerical example and sensitivity analyses are conducted to study effects of pre-estimates of design parameters.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effects of calibration rounds on the statistical distribution of the muzzle velocity in acceptance test of propelling charge. It is shown that the normal distribution fits best among statistical distributions from goodness-of fit test. The 3p-Weibull distribution is also acceptable because the shape of the probability density function curve is similar to that of normal distribution and it also has near zero skewness value. Muzzle velocities of test rounds uncompensated by calibration rounds showed high variation and had comparatively higher skewness. Because the skewness of normal distribution is defined to be zero, calibration rounds make the normality of data higher.

  • In this paper, we propose a Bayesian approach to determine the adaptive preventive maintenance(PM) policy for a general sequential imperfect PM model proposed by Lin, Zuo and Yam(2000) that PM not only reduces the effective age of the system but also changes the hazard rate function. Assuming that the failure times follow Weibull distribution, we adopt a Bayesian approach to update unknown parameters and determine the Bayesian optimal sequential PM policies. Finally, numerical examples of the optimal adaptive PM policy are presented for illustrative purposes.

  • 전자 패키지가 열을 받을 때 회로기판과 칩의 열팽창계수 차이에 의해 발생되는 응력은 솔더 조인트의 파손에 영향을 미친다. 본 연구에서는 이 영향을 정량적으로 규명하기 위하여 열충격시험기를 이용해 얻어진 솔더조인트의 전기저항 변화와 수명과의 상관관계를 규명하였고, BGA 솔더조인트의 수명을 정량적으로 도출하였다. 또한 Sn-3.5Ag-0.5Cu 무연솔더와 63Sn-37Pb 유연솔더를 위의 실험에 동시에 적용시켜 건전성을 FORM(first-order reliability method)과 Weibull Function Model을 이용해 비교하였다.
