  • A tension control strategy for a multi-span web transport system is proposed. This strategy is developed by using the tension transfer phenomena in multi-span systems. The performance of this control strategy is compared with that of an existing control strategy through a computer simulation. A real-time software is designed based on the proposed tension control stration of master speed drive in tension control is demonstrated.

  • The project of advanced urban transit system (AUTS)development is developing the advanced vehicle and the core technologies for the cost down by system change, the transport safety and the environmental friendliness and the improvement of passenger service. The product data management(PDM) system is installed for management of each project. Various data and informations producted from each project are made for database. We developed the product data management system for advanced urban transit system. In past, it was AUTS-PDM of C/S version. Now, we develop AUTS-PDM of Web version.

  • VWorld is run by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport of South Korea and provides national spatial information, such as aerial images, digital elevation models, and 3D structural models. We propose herein an open platform for 3D spatial information based on WebGL using spatial information from VWorld. WebGL is a web-based graphics library and has the advantage of being compatible with various web browsers. Our open platform is also compatible with various web browsers. Accordingly, it is easily accessible via the VWorld site and uses the three-dimensional (3D) map program. In this study, we describe the proposed platform configuration, and the requests, management, and visualization approaches for VWorld spatial information data. Our aim is to establish an approach that will provide a stable rendering speed even on a low-end personal computer without a graphics processing unit based on a quadtree structure. We expect that users will be able to visualize 3D spatial information through the VWorld open platform, and that the proposed platform will become the basis for various applications.

  • In this paper, optical transport network in real time monitoring system using smart phone. The existing housing using monitoring was a smart phone of optical transport network access switch about an event with new installation of cognitive system in real time.   • Currently, user require is diverse on the Web. Furthermore, each web user is wishing to retrieve data or goods that hey want to look for more conveniently and more quickly. Because different search criteria and dispositions of web users, they lead to unnecessary repeated operations in order to use implemented by web designer. In this paper, we suggest the system that analyzes user patterns on the Web using the technique of log file analysis and transfers more effectively the information of web sites to users. And we analyze the log file for customer data in the system the proposed method are implemented by means of EC-Miner that is one of the tool of datamining, and aims to offer appropriate Layout corresponding with personalization by giving weight to each transport path.

  • The Geography Markup Language (GML) is an XML encoding for the transport and storage of geographic information, including both the geometry and properties of geographic features. This paper uses the GML to provide extendibility and interoperability of spatial data in moving objects management system. Since the purpose of the system is to provide locations of the moving objects in the web and mobile environments, we used the GML both for presenting map data and trajectories of the moving objects. The proposed system is composed of Location Data Interface, Moving Objects Engine, and Web/Mobile Presentation Interface. We utilized the concept of Web Map Server, that is web mapping technology of OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium), to integrate map data and the location information of the moving objects. In the process of the integration, we used the standard data model and interfaces while defining new application schema. Since our suggested system uses open spatial data encoding and interfaces, both extendibility and interoperability are guaranteed.

  • Reduction of $CO_2$ emission is one of major issues in the whole industries, especially transport system. Railroad companies in the advanced countries such as EU, Japan, etc. have made great efforts on the improvement of their systems including energy sources, operational efficiency and PR of achievement resulted. Recently, to emphasize the environment-friendly characteristics of the railroad as public transport, the importance of PR is emerging. The achievements were listed in annual, sustainability and corporate responsibility reports. And the superiority of railroad in $CO_2$ emission can be confirmed in web sites and simple advertizing materials. In this study, we proposed the PR programs of achievement and ongoing works in Korean railroad through the case studies on web-based and off-line programs of railroad companies in EU and Japan.

  • Web based integrated sewer management system was developed for the analysis of sewer flow and for the optimal operation of sewer works using ArcView and SWMM. SWMM and ArcView were dynamically linked together using Avenue in order to construct user-friendly information management system. The developed system was applied to the residential area in Choonchun city to verify its utilities. All the relevant field data were analyzed on the basis of the developed system, and the modeling of sewer flow was implemented using RUNOFF, EXTRAN, TRANSPORT in SWMM. This system is now in the process of connection to the management system of stormwater, surface and subsurface environment in order to develop an integrated environmental management system. Futhermore, this system will be a critical part of overall control system of sewer works including sewer network and wastewater treatment plant. As this system can provide comprehensive prediction of flow and pollution profiles, it could serve as a tool not only for the optimal management, but also for the decision support system to examine the efficiency of planning and implementation of sewer projects.

  • Our country has so large mountain area that the tunnel construction is inevitable and the need of incident detection that provides safe management of tunnels is increasing. In this paper, we suggest a tunnel incident detection system using computer vision techniques, which can detect the incidents in a tunnel and provides the information to the tunnel administrative office in order to help safe tunnel operation. The suggested system enhances the processing speed by using simple processing algorithm such as image subtraction, and ensures the accuracy of the system by focused on the incident detection itself rather than its classification. The system is also cost effective because the video data from 4 cameras can be simultaneously analyzed in a single PC-based system. Our system can be easily extended because the PC-based analyzer can be increased according to the number of cameras in a tunnel. Also our web-based structure is useful to connect the other remotely located tunnel incident systems to obtain interoperability between tunnels. Through the experiments the system has successfully detected the incidents in real time including dropped luggage, stoped car, traffic congestion, man walker or bicycle, smoke or fire, reverse driving, etc.

  • 최근 정보화 산업이 고도화 되어 신속하고 다양한 통계정보에 대한 수요가 급증하고 있다. 그러나 기존 도로보수현황은 수기작성 및 e-Mail에 의한 자료 취합으로 집계의 신속성이 떨어지고, 자료 관리와 정보 제공을 위한 매체가 파일 및 책자로 국한되어 있어 효과적으로 활용되지 못하고 있다. 매년 발간하는 도로보수현황의 신속한 자료 취합, 통계자료의 시의성 확보 등 활용성 제고를 위해 도로보수현황 시스템 구축 연구를 진행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 도로보수현황의 자료 관리 체계 개선을 바탕으로 WEB 기반의 도로보수현황 시스템 구축에 대해 기술하고자 한다.
