Motif databases are used in the function and structure prediction of proteins which appear on new and rapid release of raw data from genome sequencing projects. Recently, the frequency of use about these databases increases continuously. However, existing motif databases were developed and extended independently and were integrated mainly by using a web-based cross-reference, thus these databases have a heterogeneous search result problem, a complex query process problem and a duplicate database entry handling problem. Therefore, in this paper, we suppose physical motif resource integration and describe the integrated search method about a family-based protein prediction for solving above these problems. Finally, we estimate our implementation of the motif integration database and prediction system for predicting protein motifs.

As huge amount of literature including biological data is being generated after post genome era, it becomes difficult for researcher to find useful knowledge from the biological databases. Bio-text mining and related natural language processing technique are the key issues in the intelligent knowledge retrieval from the biological databases. We propose a bio-text mining technique for the biologists who find Knowledge from the huge literature. At first, web robot is used to extract and transform related literature from remote databases. To improve retrieval speed, we generate an inverted file for keywords in the literature. Then, text mining system is used for extracting given knowledge patterns and keywords. Finally, we construct a grid computing environment to guarantee processing speed in the text mining even for huge literature databases. In the real experiment for 10,000 bio-literatures, the system shows 95% precision and 98% recall.
Web service technologies provide a standard means for interoperation and integration of heterogeneous applications distributed over the Internet. For efficient execution of hierarchically interacting composite web services, this paper proposes an approach to distribute web service invocations over peer systems effectively, exploiting intensional XML data embedding external service calls as a result of well services. A cost-based optimization problem on the execution of web services using intensional results was formalized, and a heuristic search method to find an optimal solution and a greedy algorithm to generate an efficient invocation plan quickly were suggested in this paper. Experimental evaluation shows that the proposed greedy algorithm provides near-optimal solutions in an acceptable time even for a large number of Web services.
The explosive growth of the Web is providing end-users access to ever-increasing volumes of information. The resources of legacy systems and relational databases have also been made available to the Web browser, which has become an essential business tool. Recently, model management on the Internet/Web is also proposed with its conceptual design or prototypical system like DecisionNet and DSS Web. However, they are also suffering from the same symptoms as the Web, Although we can identify the elements of a page with HTML tags and (declare) the relationships among the various document elements, they are semantically opaque to computer systems and have no domain-specific meaning. However, HTML is not extensible, so developers are forced to invent convoluted, non-standard solutions for embedding and parsing data. Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a simplified subset of SGML that has many benefits for folks who want to improve structure, maintainability, searchability, presentation, and other aspects of their document management. This paper proposes a structured markup language for model representation and management on the Web as an XML application. The language is based on a conceptual modeling framework, Object-Oriented Structured Modeling (OOSM), which is an extension of the structured modeling.
The management of data on biological diversity is presently complex and confusing. This study was initiated to construct a database so that such data could be stored in a data management, and analysis instrument to correct the problems inherent in the current incoherent storage methods. MySQL was used in DBMS(DataBase Management System), and the program was basically produced using Java technology Also, the program was developed so people could adapt to the requirements that are changing every minute. We hope this was accomplished by modifying easily and quickly the advanced programming technology and patterns. To this end, an effective and flexible database schema was devised to store and analyze diversity databases. Even users with no knowledge of databases should be able to access this management instrument and easily manage the database through the World Wide Web. On a basis of databases stored in this manner, it could become routinely used for various databases using this analysis instrument supplied on the World Wide Web. Supplying the derived results by using a simple table and making results visible using simple charts, researchers could easily adapt these methods to various data analyses. As the diversity data was stored in a database, not in a general file, this study makes the precise, error-free and high -quality storage in a consistent manner. The methods proposed here should also minimize the errors that might appear in each data search, data movement, or data conversion by supplying management instrumentation on the Web. Also, this study was to deduce the various results to the level we required and execute the comparative analysis without the lengthy time necessary to supply the analytical instrument with similar results as provided by various other methods of analysis. The results of this research may be summerized as follows: 1)This study suggests methods of storage by giving consistency to diversity data. 2)This study prepared a suggested foundation for comparative analysis of various data. 3)It may suggest further research, which could lead to more and better standardization of diversity data and to better methods for predicting changes in species diversity.

Recently purpose is used by an crucial part to security management when collecting data about privacy. The W3C(World Wide Web Consortium) describes a standard spec to control personal data that is provided by data providers who visit the web site. But they don't say anymore about security management about personal data in transit after data collection. Recently several researches, such as Hippocratic Databases, Purpose Based Access Control and Hippocratic in Databases, are dealing with security management using purpose concept and access control mechanism after data collection a W3C's standard spec about data collection mechanism but they couldn't suggest an efficient mechanism for privacy protection about personal data because they couldn't represent purpose expression and management of purposes sufficiently. In this paper we suggest a mechanism to improve the purpose expression. And then we suggest an accesscontrol mechanism that is under least privilege principle using the purpose classification for privacy protection. We classify purpose into Along purpose structure, Inheritance purpose structure and Stream purpose structure. We suggest different mechanisms to deal with then We use the role hierarchy structure of RBAC(Role-Based Access Control) for flexibility about access control and suggest mechanisms that provide the least privilege for processing the task in case that is satisfying using several features of purpose to get least privilege of a task that is a nit of business process.
Recently, interest in blockchain technology has increased. The data industry is increasingly growing around the world. In addition, databases which obtain important information such as personal data are targeted by hackers. Data exposed by attackers happen frequently. In 2017, OWASP announced SQL injection is a top 1 threat to web applications. However, the proportion of data security is the smallest in the data industry. To prevent data exposure, this paper proposes a method that can protect databases by using hybrid blockchain.

With the rapid and broad changes of information media and information environment the traditional libraries have been evolving into the digital libraries. An analysis for the Planning and realization of the electronic resource management system was carried out to establish the various electronic resources in the digital library, the first in Korea. The study targeted from electronic journals, web-based databases, e-books, and to open access resources. The focus of the analysis lies in the Providing practical integrated electronic resource management for digital librarian based on the framework of effective Electronic Resource Management Initiative(ERMI) of Digital Library Federation(DLF) with network and electronic resource description. The analyses included life-cycle, subscription models, coverages. types of information provider for electronic resources. and system organization for implementation of electronic resource management system.

A biological data acquisition based on web has emerged as a powerful tool for allowing scientists to interactively view entries form different databases, and to navigate from one database to another molecular-biology database links. In this paper, the biological conceptual model is constructed hybrid biological data model to represent interesting entities in the data sources to applying navigation rule property for each biological data source based on four biological data integrating layers to control biological data. When some user's requests for application service are occurred, we can get the data from database and data source via web service. In this paper, we propose a query processing model and execution structure based on integrating data layers that can search information on biological data sources.
