Purpose: To manage radiation measurement equipment, a web-based management program has been developed in this study. Materials and Methods: This program is based on a web service and Java Server Pages (JSP) and employs compatibility and accessibility. Results: The first step in the workflow has been designed to create accounts for each user or organization and to log in. The program consists of two parts: fields for listed instruments, and measurement information. The instruments for measuring radiation listed in this program are as follows: ionization chambers, survey meters, thermometers, barometers, electrometers, and phantoms. Instrument properties can be put in the recording fields and browsing for associated instruments can be performed. The main part of the program is the cross-calibration for each ion chamber. For instance, the ionization chamber to be used as a relative dosimeter can be registered by cross-calibration data with a reference chamber calibrated by an accredited laboratory. This program supports methods using the central axis transfer theory for cross-calibration for the ionization chambers. The reference and field ionization chambers were placed in a solid water phantom along the beam central axis at two different depths, and then the positions were switched. Each measured value was used for calculating the cross-calibration factor. Conclusions: Because many instruments are used and managed in radiation oncology departments, systematic, traceable recording is very important. The web-based program developed in this study is expected to be used effectively in the maintenance of radiation measurement instruments.

웹 기반 정보시스템에서의 유저 인터페이스는 사용자가 시스템에 접할 수 있는 매개체이다. 유저 인터페이스는 정보시스템의 접근성과 사용성을 높이는 수단이며, 웹 기반 정보시스템에서의 중요한 핵심 구성요소이다. 이에 본 논문은 웹 기반 정보시스템에서 사용성과 접근성을 강화하는 유저 인터페이스 감리 프레임워크를 기존 정보시스템 감리점검 프레임워크의 3대 축을 준용하여 개발하였다. 먼저 감리시점으로는 국내 주요 웹 개발방법론의 단계 비교 분석을 통해 도출된 분석, UI설계, UI제작, 테스트의 UI중심 프로세스를 정의하였다. 감리영역은 유저 인터페이스를 구성하는 요소의 분석을 통하여 정보, 디자인, 기술로 정의하였고, 감리관점 점검기준은 사용성, 접근성, 호환성으로 정의하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 프레임워크를 통해 도출된 점검항목을 실제감리가 수행된 사례에 적용해 봄으로써 제안된 프레임워크를 검증하였다.

Studies of recommender systems have focused on improving their performance in terms of error rates between the actual and predicted preference values. Also, many studies have been conducted to investigate the relationships between customer information processing and the characteristics of recommender systems via surveys and web-based experiments. However, the actual impact of recommendation on product pages for customer browsing behavior and decision-making in the commercial environment has not, to the best of our knowledge, been investigated with actual clickstream data. The principal objective of this research is to assess the effects of product recommendation on customer behavior in e-Commerce, using actual clickstream data. For this purpose, we utilized an online bookstore's clickstream data prior to and after the web site renovation of the store. We compared the recommendation effects on customer behavior with the data. From these comparisons, we determined that the relevant recommendations in product pages have positive relationships with the acquisition of customer attention and elaboration. Additionally, the placing of recommended items in shopping cart is positively related to suggesting the relevant recommendations. However, the frequencies at which the recommended items were purchased did not differ prior to and after the renovation of the site.

GeoRSS는 위치정보를 포함하고 있는 RSS로 구글맵과 같은 지도 서비스와의 매쉬업(Mash-up)을 통해 다양한 정보를 제공할 수 있도록 지원한다. 간단한 자바스 크립트로 효율적인 웹서비스 구축이 가능하지만, 사진이나 동영상과 같은 다량의 멀티미디어 정보를 포함하고 있는 경우 페이지 로딩 속도가 매우 느려지고, 과도한 트래픽 발생을 유발시켜 시스템 유지비용을 증가시키는 단점을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 웹상에서 빠른 제어를 할 수 있도록 분할된 GeoRSS의 분할 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법으로 구현된 구글맵 웹서비스는 일반 GeoRSS를 사용하는 것보다 원하는 지리정보를 빠르게 브라우징 할 수 있는 장점을 가진다. 성능평가를 통해 제안하는 방법이 좋은 성능을 가지는 것을 확인한다.

이 논문에서 설계한 웹 기반 교육용 동적적응 하이퍼미디어 시스템에서는 영역 모델과 사용자 모델을 구조화하기 위해 XML을 기반으로 하는 마크업 언어를 정의한다. 이러한 마크업 언어는 웹 기반 교육용 적용형 하이퍼마디어 분야에서 자료를 구조화하기 위한 간단한 방법론을 가지고 쉽게 확장될 수 있고 저작될 수 있다. 또한 사용자의 브라우징 행위에 따라 자동적으로 하이퍼텍스트 네트워크를 재구성하는 학습 규칙을 제안하였다. 사용자 각각의 동적 이해 과정을 통해 하이퍼미디어 콘텐츠를 프리젠테이션 할 수 있는 기능을 포함하고 있다. 사용자 프로필은 사용자 모델 안에 포함되어 있고, 하이퍼미디어 콘텐츠인 영역 지식은 개념 기반의 영역 모델 형태로 설계되었으며, 제안된 학습 규칙에 따라 동적으로 재구조화가 이루어진다.

The International HapMap Project and the Human Genome Diversity Project (HGDP) provide plentiful resources on human genome information to the public. However, this kind of information is limited because of the small sample size in both databases. A Genome-Wide Association Study has been conducted with 8,842 Korean subjects as a part of the Korea Association Resource (KARE) project. In an effort to build a publicly available browsing system for genome data resulted from large scale KARE GWAS, we developed the KARE browser. This browser provides users with a large amount of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) information comprising 1.5 million SNPs from population-based cohorts of 8,842 samples. KAREBrowser was based on the generic genome browser (GBrowse), a web-based application tool developed for users to navigate and visualize the genomic features and annotations in an interactive manner. All SNP information and related functions are available at the web site http://ksnp.cdc. go.kr/karebrowser/.

Multimedia searching is an important activity on the Web, especially among the younger generation. The purpose of this study aims to examine college students’ multimedia information needs and searching on the Internet. While there is a clear pattern among students with respect to their multimedia uses, searching sources, relevance criteria and searching barriers, some differences exist especially according to searching of different multimedia types such as image, audio and video. For multimedia uses, information/data-focused uses are frequently found in image and video, while the use of audio is mainly for object-focused searches. As multimedia searching sources, audio and video files present a similar pattern of being high in media specific searching sources and low in generic search engines. Browsing through related blogs and homepages is an important part of searching for media files accounting for approximately 20% of total search for each media. The relevance criteria used by study participants when search for image files was primarily concerned with topicality while the contextual and media quality in the audio and video types are also considered important. Searching barriers for audio and video files are categorized into three broad aspects, including access and search quality, preview limitations and collection limitations, while obstacles for image files searching include access difficulties and low qualities of various collection.

최근 인터넷의 발달로 실시간 경매 시스템의 요구가 증가되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 사회적 요구 변화에 따라, 고객이 원하는 상품을 찾아 나서는 입장에서 관심 물품을 등록시키면 자동으로 매매 상품 등록 발생 시 고객의 피씨로 정보를 알려 바로 경매에 참여 할 수 있도록 하는 응용 프로그램을 구현하고 웹을 통해 고객 정보 등록 및 상품 등록, 관심 상품 등록 등을 행하고, 모바일을 통해 언제 어디서나 관심 상품 조회 및 경매 내역 조회 등을 서비스 받을 수 있도록 하여 다양한 매체를 통해 원하는 상품을 빠르게 구매 할 수 있도록 구현하였다.

Panning tasks caused by both a small screen and the lower resolution of handheld devices are known to decrease the usability of a mobile internet service. To solve this problem, we proposed FTND, an improved version of Tap-N-Drag widely used in various mobile web browsers. 30 participants performed the panning tasks with FTND embedded in combinations of 2 panning directions of Push Background user interface and Push Viewpoint user interface and 5 panning ratios of 100% (a panning ratio of Tap- N-Drag), 300%, 500%, 700%, and 900%. The usability of FTND was assessed by an objective performance and a subjective preference. The objective performance was measured by a task completion time, the number of clicks, and the number of pixels. The subjective preference was measured by satisfaction, accuracy and ease of use. Push Viewpoint user interface at the panning ratios of 300%, 500%, and 700% proved to be the most efficient way for panning tasks with small handheld devices when performing the task by using the right hand thumb.
