Watermark detection has a crucial role in copyright protection of and authentication for multimedia and has classically been tackled by means of correlation-based algorithms. Nevertheless, when watermark embedding does not obey an additive rule, correlation-based detection is not the optimum choice. So a new detection algorithm is proposed which is optimum for non-additive watermark embedding. By relying on statistical decision theory, the proposed method is derived according to the Bayes decision theory, Neyman-Pearson criterion, and distribution of wavelet coefficients, thus permitting to minimize the missed detection probability subject to a given false detection probability. The superiority of the proposed method has been tested from a robustness perspective. The results confirm the superiority of the proposed technique over classical correlation- based method.
Digital image manipulation software is now readily available on personal computers. It is therefore very simple to tamper with any image and make it available to others. Therefore. copyright protection of digital contents and insurance of digital image integrity become major issues. In this paper, we propose a hybrid watermarking method to identify locations of tampered region as well as copyright. Our proposed algorithms embed the PN-sequence into low frequency sub-band of the wavelet transform domain and it doesn't need the original image in extraction procedure. The experimental results show good robustness against any signal processing with tamper detection on still image.

A digital watermarking technique used as a protection and certifying mechanism of copyrighted creations including music, still images, and videos in terms of lading any loss in data, reproduction and pursuit. This study suggests using a selected geometric invariant point through the whole processing procedure based on the invariant point so that it will be robust in a geometric transformation attack. The introduced algorithm here is based on a watershed splitting method in order to make medical images strong against RST transformation and other processing. This algorithm also proved that is has robustness against not only RST attack, but also JPEG compression attack and filtering attack.
The CFRP-confined circular concrete-filled steel tubular column is composed of concrete, steel, and CFRP. Its failure mechanics are complex. The most important difficulties are lack of an available method to establish a relationship between a specific damage mechanism and its acoustic emission (AE) characteristic parameter. In this study, AE technique was used to monitor the evolution of damage in CFRP-confined circular concrete-filled steel tubular columns. A fuzzy c-means method was developed to determine the relationship between the AE signal and failure mechanisms. Cluster analysis results indicate that the main AE sources include five types: matrix cracking, debonding, fiber fracture, steel buckling, and concrete crushing. This technology can not only totally separate five types of damage sources, but also make it easier to judge the damage evolution process. Furthermore, typical damage waveforms were analyzed through wavelet analysis based on the cluster results, and the damage modes were determined according to the frequency distribution of AE signals.
Previous major earthquakes indicated that the earthquake induced ground motions are typical non-stationary processes, which are non-stationary in both amplification and frequency. For the convenience of aseismic design and analysis, it usually assumes that the ground motions at structural supports are stationary processes. The development of time-frequency analysis technique makes it possible to evaluate the non-stationary responses of engineering structures subjected to non-stationary inputs, which is more general and realistic than the analysis method commonly used in engineering. In this paper, the wavelet-based stochastic vibration analysis methodology is adopted to calculate the non-stationary responses of multi-support structures. For comparison, the stationary response based on the standard random vibration method is also investigated. A frame structure and a two-span bridge are analyzed. The effects of non-stationary spatial ground motion and local site conditions are considered, and the influence of structural property on the structural responses are also considered. The analytical results demonstrate that the non-stationary spatial ground motions have significant influence on the response of multi-support structures.
Image noise reduction algorithm performs important functions in light microscopy. This study aims to systematically review the research trend of types and performance evaluation methods of noise reduction algorithm in light microscopic images. A systematic literature search of three databases of publications from January 1985 to May 2020 was conducted; of the 139 publications reviewed, 16 were included in this study. For each research result, the subjects were categorized into four major frameworks-1. noise reduction method, 2. imaging technique, 3. imaging type, and 4. evaluation method-and analyzed. Since 2003, related studies have been conducted and published, and the number of papers has increased over the years and begun to decrease since 2016. The most commonly used method of noise reduction algorithm for light microscopy images was wavelet-transform-based technology, which was mostly applied in basic systems. In addition, research on the real experimental image was performed more actively than on the simulation condition, with the main case being to use the comparison parameter as an evaluation method. This systematic review is expected to be extremely useful in the future method of numerically analyzing the noise reduction efficiency of light microscopy images.
Intelligent monitoring, life entertainment, medical rehabilitation, and other fields are only a few examples where visual image technology is becoming increasingly sophisticated and playing a significant role. Recognizing Wushu, or martial arts, movements through the use of visual image technology helps promote and develop Wushu. In order to segment and extract the signals of Wushu movements, this study analyzes the denoising of the original data using the wavelet transform and provides a sliding window data segmentation technique. Wushu movement The Wushu movement recognition model is built based on the hidden Markov model (HMM). The HMM model is trained and taught with the help of the Baum-Welch algorithm, which is then enhanced using the frequency weighted training approach and the mean training method. To identify the dynamic Wushu movement, the Viterbi algorithm is used to determine the probability of the optimal state sequence for each Wushu movement model. In light of the foregoing, an HMM-based martial arts movements recognition model is developed. The recognition accuracy of the HMM model increases to 99.60% when the number of samples is 4,000, which is greater than the accuracy of the SVM (by 0.94%), the CNN (by 1.12%), and the BP (by 1.14%). From what has been discussed, it appears that the suggested system for detecting martial arts acts is trustworthy and effective, and that it may contribute to the growth of martial arts.

The setting time which is the important element for the determination of slip-up speed of Slip-Form system is the hardening time of early-age concrete when the in place concrete has minimum compressive strength before the concrete appears out of Slip-Form system. But it is very difficult to predict the setting time because it depends on not only the composition ratio of concrete but also various conditions of construction fields. Thus, the technique to estimate accurately and continuously the hardening time of early-age in place concrete during operating Slip-Form system is necessary to guarantee the safety of Slip-Form system and the maintenance of the shape of concrete. Ultrasonic wave-based nondestructive testing methods have the advantages which are accurate and continuous in estimating concrete compressive strength. Of such methods, the method using surface wave which propagates along the surface of material is effective for thick member such as a pylon. Thus, in this paper a study on the determination of slip-up speed for Slip-Form system using surface wave velocity is performed. The relation between the slip-up speed of Slip-Form system and the setting time is formulated, and the surface wave velocity is estimated from continuous wavelet transform of the numerical results for surface wave propagation. Finally, the accuracy of this method according to the distance between the wave source and receivers and the relation between the estimated surface wave velocity and the elastic modulus are investigated.

The destructive method is reliable and widely used lot the estimation of material degradation but, it have time-consuming and a great difficulty in preparing specimens from in-service industrial facilities. Therefore, the estimation of degraded structural materials used at high temperature by nondestructive evaluation such as electric resistance method, replica method, Barkhausen noise method, electro-chemical method and ultrasonic method are strongly desired. Ultrasonic nondestructive evaluation technique has been reported good to attain efficiency of measurement, high sensitivity of measurement, and rapidity and reliability of result interpretation. In this study, it was verified experimentally the feasibility of the evaluation of degraded 2.25Cr-1Mo steel specimens which were prepared by the isothermal aging heat treatment at $630^{\circ}C$ by high frequency longitudinal wave method investigating the change of attenuation coefficient by FFT analysis and wavelet transform. Because of carbide precipitation increase and spheroidization near grain boundary of microstructure to aging degradation, attenuation coefficient had a tendency to increase as degradation proceeded. It was identified possibly to evaluate degradation using the characteristics of high-frequency ultrasonics. Frequency dependence of ultrasonic attenuation coefficient to aging degradation appeared large, which made sure that attenuation coefficient is an important parameter for evaluation of aging degradation.

Rock bolts and shotcrete play a crucial role as a main support system in the underground space. Thus, the safety of the underground space may be affected by the defect of rock bolts. In order to evaluate the rock bolt integrity by using non-destructive technique, the transmission method of the guided ultrasonic waves, which are generated by using the piezo disk elements has been successfully performed. The energy generated by the piezo disk elements, however, is not enough for the rock bolts in the field. In addition, the piezo disk elements should be installed at the end of the steel bar during construction of the rock bolts. The purpose of this study is the devolvement of the reflection method, which may generate enough energy, and the application in the field rock bolts. Both laboratory and field tests are carried out. The guided ultrasonic waves with high energy are generated by the hammer impact with the center punch, and the AE sensor is used to measure the reflected guided waves. The received guided waves are analyzed by the wavelet transform. The peak value of the wavelet transform produces the energy velocity, which is used for the evaluation of the rock bolt integrity. The energy velocity increases with an increase in the defect ratio in both laboratory and field rock bolts. This study demonstrates that the hammer-impact reflection method may be a suitable method for the evaluation of the rock bolt in the field.
