  • The automatic control system in the greenhouse have to be developed to the direction of considering various factors the variables such as condition of the cultivation and greenhouse, the properties and types of products. Therefore, it is more important to set up variables appropriately than the problems of automatic control system itself, and the automatic control system which satisfy these problems should be simplified in the aspect of operation. In addition, even the individual automations are not perfect yet, so more studies are required for the development of comprehensive automatic system in korea. This study was carried out to automatize environment control systems for greenhouse, especially from most intensive labor requiring parts such as watering, irrigating liquefied fertilizer, spraying chemicals, mixing and ventilation system, etc. The results are summarized as follows. 1. Control type tensiometer was expected to be desirable in the automation of watering system, therefore, a new tensiometer was designed and developed through this study. 2. The chemical spraying system developed through this study was found to be excellent in the aspect of operation. 3. When pulse type water discharge meter was used in the mixing of liquefied fertilizer and chemical solution, the error of mixing were range $\pm$0.1~0.15%. 4. The water level switch of electrod type used for controlling water level was found to be affective in both control performance and operation cost. 5. The water and level control system can be omitted if each tank size are standardized in accordance with greenhouse size, therefore, the installation cost might be significantly reduced. 6. The developed general controller was excellent in hardware parts, but still remained to be improved in software parts.

  • Fallow paddy areas have been increased due to the import of cheap agricultural product, and the unbalance between farming cost and rice price since 1990. In domestic, rice production control that decrease paddy field area has been introduced for the control of rice demand and supply and stabilization of rice price since 2003. Because of the desire of paddy field's owner to create benefit by using paddy for other object, fallow paddy would be continuously increased. In the other aspect, many people in the world is suffering from hunger because of the shortage of food. In case of Korea, continuous drought and flood damages will be potential concern of stable food supply. From this viewpoint, the increasing fallow paddy area needs to be protected from the devastation by weed breeding for the re-cultivation. In this study, fallow paddy managed with the shallow pools and shallows was selected fur monitoring and analyzing of water quality and plant body change. As the results, the managed fallow paddy found to be effective in the purification of water quality and the control of plant growth.

  • This paper discusses compressors operating number control strategy using cooperative logic to cope with variable partial load for high efficiency of a centrifugal water chiller. The cooperative logic is composed of a speed-up and speed-down controller, enabling smooth operation of compressors and equivalent distribution of thermal load in each compressor. This centrifugal water chiller design can be operated with high efficiency without incurring excessive energy waste and large transient phenomena at partial load states. Simulations in MATLAB and experiments in a real chiller system were conducted and verified the high efficiency control of a centrifugal water chiller achieved by the suggested strategy.

  • This study is described the stabilizing technology of water-in-oil (w/o) emulsion and the mechanism of emulsification with quaternium-18 hectorite (Q-18 HTRT) by swelling action. When Q-18 HTRT is dispersed in oil, it swells and constructs card-house structure adding ethanol, and formation of water phase is caused by hydrogen bonding. The gelling activities of Q-18 HTRT were excellent such as mineral oil, squalane, cetostearyl isononanoate, isostearic acid, cetyl octanoate, octyl dodecanol and so on. Especially, when oil gel containing Q-18 HTRT passed one to three times by Roll mill. It made the W/O emulsion cream (W/O-ECRM) having 2.0 w/w% of Q-18 HTRT and also produced the control sample (control) including 3.0 w/w% of cetyl PEG/PPG- l0/l dimethicone. The stability of after 24 weeks, Hardness of W/O-ECRM dropped 7.48%, whereas hardness of control went down 57 71%. As a result of these test emulsification of W/O-ECRM is superior compared with control. In cosmetic, 0-18 HTRT can use as suspending agent, oil adsorbent, emulsifying agent, dispersing agent, viscosifier and pigment.

  • The effects of dried leaf powders and water and ethanol extracts of persimmon and green tea on lipid metabolism, lipid peroxidation and antioxidative enzyme activity were investigated in 12-month-old rats. Forty-nine male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 520$\pm$19g were blocked into seven groups according to body weight. Rats were raised for four weeks with control(no tea leaf powder or extracts) and experimental diets containing either 5%(w/w) dried leaf powders of persimmon(Diospyros kaki Thunb) or green tea(Camellia sinensis O. Ktze), or water or ethanol extract from equal amounts of each dried tea powder. Food intakes of all tea diet groups were higher than that of control. Weight gains and food efficiency ratios of all tea diet groups were not significantly different from those of control. All tea diets decreased plasma triglyceride level, especially, green tea powder and persimmon ethanol diets were more effective than other diet. All the tea diet groups showed decrease in liver triglyceride level, and persimmon powder and ethanol extract increased fecal triglyceride excretion. Plasma cholesterol levels of all the tea diet groups were not significantly different from the control, but control. Fecal cholesterliver cholesterol concegroups were significantlntrations of all tea y lower than that of ol excretions of persimmon powder, green tea ethanol extract, persommon ethanol extract and green tea ethanol extract groups were significantly higher than that of control. Plasma and liver thiobarbituric acid reactive substance(TBARS) concentrations of all the tea diet groups were lower than that of control. Especially, plasma TBARS concentrations of green tea powder and persimmon ethanol extract groups were sinificantly low. Red blood cell(RBC) superoxide dismutase(SOD) activities of persimmon ethanol extract and green tea water extract groups were increased, and RBC catalase activities of all experimental groups were not significantly different. RBC glutathione peroxidase(GSH-px) activities of persimmon ethanol extract, persimmon water extract and green tea powder groups were increased. Liver SOD activities of all the tea diet groups except green tea ethanol extract group were higher than that of control. Liver catalase activities of all experimental groups were not significantly different, and liver GSH-px activity of green tea powder group was significantly higher than that of control. In conclusion, dried leaf powders, and water and ethanol extracts of persimmon and green tea were effective in lowering lipid level, inhibiting lipid peroxidation and increasing antioxdative enzyme activities in 12-month-old rat. Green tea leaf powder with high contents of flavonoids and water soluble dietar fiber was most effective in lowering plasma triglyceride, cholesterol and TBARS level. • In this study, an optimization technique was developed from the application of Allocation Rule. Average Allocation coefficients of the Andong and Imha dam compare constant water supply condition with vary water supply condition that are above the contribute ratio $67\%\~50\%$ the Andong dam in Rule(A)-Rule(C). In the Refill Season, Andong dam water supply contribution is higher than Imha dam at the Control point water supply. In the Allocation analysis results, Rule(A) is calculated storage ratio because Andong dam contribute to Control point larger than Imha dam which Andong dam storage is larger than Imha dam storage. Rule(B) calculated sum of the storage and inflow ratio for Andong dam and Imha dam, as Andong dam contribution is higher than Imha dam. Rule(C) calculated that sum of storage, inflow and water supply is divided average storage ratio, as the best results of the Allocation coefficients and water supply capacity. The results of storage analysis is larger vary water supply condition than constant water supply condition and the results of water supply analysis is larger vary water supply condition than constant water supply condition. Water supply deficit is decrease $30\%$ for vary water supply condition.
