식물성 식용유의 생산현황과 전망 (Production of Edible Vegetable Oil : Status and Outlook)

  • Although traditional Korean diet consists of Very little fats and oils, the increase of their consumption, especially vegetable oil, has been truly remarkable in recent years and this increase is attributed to the improvement of their dietary habit and the development of Korean food industry. On the other hand, domestic production of the edible vegetable oil did not increase at all. Naturally, foreign exchange (over a several hundred million U.S. dollars) is annually used in importing oil seed and/or oil per se. Under these circumstances, it is of utmost importance to maximize the domestic production of edible vegetable oil, although its complete self-sufficiency cannot be achieved. In this seminar, intake of fats and oils by Korean people, status and outlook of the domestic production and consumption of fats and oils will be discussed, with. emphasis on the utilization of agricultural by products and waste as a source of fats and oil.

  • Because the traditional filters have many demerits, multi-step electric oil filter have manufactured the efficiency of insulating oil to improve. Therefore, the function of oil filter to improve based on my experience and know-how about my job. Through this study have obtained many merits. The efficiency of insulating oil is improved. The waste oil reused in repair works of the damaged transformer. Multi-step filter is shortening the working time and safety. it is handy for use and movement. This study lengthen the expected life span of filter. The improvement of oil filter bring about elevation of productivity.

  • On July 5, 1997, environmental Protection Administration of Taiwan publicized the recycling regulation of waste home appliances that include four items, namely, television, refrigerator, washing machine, and air conditioner. It is believed that this regulation pioneers the law enforcement of waste home appliances in the world. To comply with tile policy, several contemporary waste disposal plants specialized in waste home appliances were established according to a follow-up technical specification oil the waste treatment facilities and methodology. Therefore, the traditional dismantling facilities were substituted and waste collection routes were altered as well accordingly. This study investigates the collection and recycling costs of waste home appliances in accordance with these newly established routes and facilities, respectively. Cost survey was conducted among collectors and recycling plants of waste home appliances; consequently, tire collection and recycling costs were analyzed, correspondingly. Results show that the recycling costs of waste home appliances were much higher than that of other waste items. Since the market share of recycled materials is lacking, these waste recycling plants of home appliances can only survive under the subsidy of EPA in Taiwan. Due to some arduous problems, the subsidiary system has already caused serious financial unbalance for a foundation under EPA of Taiwan, which associated with waste recycling in Taiwan.

폐기프라스틱의 재활용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Reclamation of Waste Plastic: Plant Design)

  • This research investigated the condition for plant design on reclamation of waste plastic by heat decomposition. The results were summarized as follows 1. The highest of oil product by heat decomposition is about 54.7%. 2. The optimum reaction temperature is about 300­40$0^{\circ}C$. 3. The optimum reaction time is 2­3 hours. 4. When the flow rate of 8­16 cm/sec in column reactor the yield is maximum. 5. Waste plastics yielded of carbon black product by heat decomposition at the optimum condition is about 23.5%. 6. Calorific values 0:1 were 9820 Kcal/kg.

  • As our government is actively introducing the RPS (Renewable Portfolio Standards) as a national renewable energy obligation policy, power producers are using the various renewable energy to meet the RPS supply quota since 2012. Recently, it is appling to use power bio-fuel oil in bio-fuel oil demonstration project with power companies. In general, power bio-fuel oils are composed of mixture products of vegetable oil, animal fat, fatty acid ester and waste oil. It is already developing for a power plant as a renewable energy abroad. In Korea, it is studying a 100% combustion and blended combustion of heavy fuel oil and bio-fuel oil. In this study, we investigated fuel characteristics of mixed power bio-fuel oil and its emission performance. Especially, it was reduced emissions of bio-oil in industrial boilers due to bio-fuel properties as compare with fuel oil.

  • 본 연구에서는 콩기름과 자원 재활용 차원의 폐식용유의 새로운 자기수축 저감방안으로서의 가능성을 검토하고자 수축저감제 및 팽창재와 비교 분석하였는데, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. SO 및 WO는 Plain에 비해 유동성이 소폭 저하되었으나 공기량에서는 큰 차이를 보이지 않았고, 강도결과는 재령 28일에 유지류에서 약간의 저하가 발생하였지만 대부분의 수준에서 양호한 결과를 나타냈다. 자기수축 저감효과는 SO와 WO가 RS 및 EA보다 우수함을 확인할 수 있었는데, 이는 SO과 WO의 지방산이 시멘트 수화물 중 $Ca(OH)_2$와 가수분해 반응을 진행하여 지방산 칼슘염을 생성하게 되는데, 이러한 생성물들이 콘크리트 경화체내의 모세관 공극을 충전시켜 수축완화 작용에 기인한 것으로 사료된다. 공극분포 측정결과 SO 및 WO의 경우 치환율에 상관없이 $0.01{\sim}0.1{\mu}m$ 사이즈의 공극이 0 ml/g으로 나타났으며, $10{\sim}100{\mu}m$ 사이즈의 공극이 매우 적은 것으로 나타나 유지류가 콘크리트의 미세공극을 충전해주는 역할을 하는 것으로 판단된다.

폐유지류가 혼화재 다량 치환 콘크리트의 내구성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Waste Cooking Oil on Durability of High Volume Mineral Admixture Concrete)

  • 본 연구에서는 폐유지류가 혼화재 다량 치환콘크리트의 내구성에 미치는 영향을 실험적으로 고찰하고자 한다. 플라이애시 30% 및 고로슬래그 60% 치환한 콘크리트를 대상으로 기초적 물성과, 탄산화저항성, 동결융해저항성, 염해 저항성 및 황산염 침투저항성을 고찰하고 세공구조를 측정하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 폐유지류는 유동성 저하를 방지하기 위하여 유화처리된 폐유지류(ERCO)를 사용하였고, 혼입률은 1.0%까지로 결정하였다. 연구결과에 따르면, 슬럼프 및 공기량은 ERCO 혼입에 따라 감소하는 경향을 보였고, 압축강도는 ERCO혼입에 따라 28일강도는 다소 저하하나 180일 강도의 경우 ERCO혼입과 동등이상의 값을 보였다. 또한, ERCO 혼입에 따른 내염해, 탄산화, 황산염 및 동결융해 저항성에 대하여 분석한 결과로는 염화물 침투저항성 및 탄산화 침투 저항성은 ERCO 혼입률 증가에 따라 저항성이 향상되나, 동결융해 저항성은 저하되는 것으로 나타났다.

광반사체로 사용되는 $TiO_2$ 나노구형체의 합성과 화장품으로의 적용 연구 (The Synthesis of Nano-sphere Titanium-oxide and Cosmetic Applications)

  • 본 연구에서 제조한 나노구형체 $TiO_2$는 자외선 차단 효과가 우수하면서도 노폐물 흡착을 하는 기능을 부여하기 위해 Sol-gel 방법으로 합성하였다. 다공성의 특성으로 높은 표면적에 의한 우수한 자외선 차단효과 및 흡착능력을 얻기 위해 pH를 조절하였다. 염기 처리한 $TiO_2$의 경우 가장 우수한 특성을 나타내었다. TGA로 글리세린을 흡착한 결과 1.16 mg의 높은 흡착 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 UV-A 영역에서 높은 반사율을 가지는 것을 확인하였다. 무기분체의 최적의 분산제를 찾기 위해 ester oil과 silicon oil를 사용하여 입도크기를 측정하였으며 180 nm정도의 입자로 약 6개월간 유지되었다. 이 결과를 통해, UV-A영역에서 우수한 능력을 가진 자외선 차단제로서 노폐물 흡착능력을 가진 $TiO_2$를 제조했으며 이로 인한 다양한 응용이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

The Properties of Livestock Waste Composts Tea Depending on Manufacturing Method and Their Effect on Chinese Cabbage Cultivation

  • Livestock waste compost tea is a liquid extract of compost obtained by mixing livestock compost. In this study, some chemical and microbiological characteristics of compost tea depending on the kind of raw materials used were examined, and several experiments to investigate the practical effects on Chinese cabbage cultivation were conducted. This experiment showed that livestock composts needed to be added into aerated water at the ratio between 1:100 and 1:10 (1 part compost to 10~100 parts water) to produce the high quality compost tea. Compost teas must be aerated more than 24 to 48 hours to be able to support aerobic organisms. In cultivation test with compost teas, swine manure compost teas were made by the extracting ratio of 50x, in the aerated condition for 24 hours in water and oil cake in the extracting ratio of 100x were added as supplements. Following the input of oil cake, the concentration of nitrogen and aerobic bacteria increased. Another experiment was conducted to determine the effect of different swine manure compost teas on plant growth and yield of Chinese cabbage. The fresh yield of Chinese cabbage was higher in the fertigated plots by compost tea with oil cake compared to those of N, $P_2O_5$, $K_2O$ fertilization plot with chemical fertilizer by soil test recommendation (Fert. NPK). The effect of compost tea on growth of Chinese cabbage was largely attributable to the increased number of microorganisms as well as nutrients.

식품부산물인 커피박과 폐식용유를 첨가제로 사용하여 파일럿 규모의 평다이 성형기로 제조한 리기다소나무 및 신갈나무 펠릿의 연료적 특성 (Fuel Characteristics of Pitch Pine and Mongolian Oak Pellets Fabricated with Coffee Waste and Used Frying Oil as an Additive Using a Pilot-scale Flat-die Pellet Mills)

  • This study evaluated the potential of coffee waste (CW) and used frying oil (UFO) as an additive in the production of pitch pine (PIP) and Mongolian oak (MOK) pellets. Ash contents obtained from CW and UFO were 0.5% and <0.1%, respectively. The calorific values of UFO (31.4 MJ/kg) and CW (26.3 MJ/kg) are higher than PIP (20.6 MJ/kg) and MOK (19.1 MJ/kg). For pellets fabricated using a pilot-scale flat-die pellet mill, regardless of fabricating conditions, moisture content (MC) and bulk density of PIP and MOK pellets satisfied the A1 wood pellet standard for residential and small-scale commercial uses, as designated by the National Institute of Forest Science (NIFOS) of the Republic of Korea. When CW was used as an additive, durability of PIP pellets made with 12%-MC sawdust and MOK pellets increased. The optimal conditions for producing PIP and MOK pellets could be by adding 20 mesh CW as an additive and the using of 12%-MC sawdust. However, durability of PIP pellets and ash content MOK pellets did not satisfy the A1 wood pellet standard of NIFOS. Thus, further research is needed to improve the properties of wood pellets with additives.
