미디어파사드를 적용한 건축외관조명의 평가구조 추출 및 이미지 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Evaluation Construct Model Extraction of Building Exterior Lighting applying Media Facade and Image Evaluation)

  • In this study, we derive an evaluation structure and 18 Valuation vocabulary for the media facade lighting conditions. In addition, this study deduced the applicable elements that could be applied in time of building nightscape lighting design using media facade by conducting affective evaluation. The research results are as follows: It was found that the image axis of "Dynamic, Colorful" showed the lighting change speed was fast with diverse application of lighting color, and its evaluation object applied by general emphasis, vertical emphasis, partial emphasis lighting method was highly assessed. In addition, it was found that "Luxurious, Unusual" axis showed lighting change speed was slow with the application of lighting color in warm hue series, and its evaluation object applied by line lighting, dot lighting, general emphasis lighting methods was highly assessed. Lastly, it was found that "Soft, Secure" image axis showed the lighting change speed was slow with the application of pastel tone lighting color, and the evaluation object applied by general emphasis lighting method was highly assessed.

Bacterial Communities from the Water Column and the Surface Sediments along a Transect in the East Sea

  • We determined the composition of water and sediment bacterial assemblages from the East Sea using 16S rRNA gene sequencing. Total bacterial reads were greater in surface waters (<100 m) than in deep seawaters (>500 m) and sediments. However, total OTUs, bacterial diversity, and evenness were greater in deep seawaters than in surface waters with those in the sediment comparable to the deep sea waters. Proteobacteria was the most dominant bacterial phylum comprising 67.3% of the total sequence reads followed by Bacteriodetes (15.8%). Planctomycetes, Verrucomicrobia, and Actinobacteria followed all together consisting of only 8.1% of the total sequence. Candidatus Pelagibacter ubique considered oligotrophic bacteria, and Planctomycetes copiotrophic bacteria showed an opposite distribution in the surface waters, suggesting a potentially direct competition for available resources by these bacteria with different traits. The bacterial community in the warm surface waters were well separated from the other deep cold seawater and sediment samples. The bacteria exclusively associated with deep sea waters was Actinobacteriacea, known to be prevalent in the deep photic zone. The bacterial group Chromatiales and Lutibacter were those exclusively associated with the sediment samples. The overall bacterial community showed similarities in the horizontal rather than vertical direction in the East Sea.

  • The synoptic structural characteristics associated with heavy snowfall (Bukgangneung: 31.3 cm) that occurred in the Yeongdong area on 20 January 2017 was investigated using surface and upper-level weather charts, European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) reanalysis data, radiosonde data, and Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) cloud product. The cold dome and warm trough of approximately 500 hPa appeared with tropopause folding. As a result, cold and dry air penetrated into the middle and upper levels. At this time, the enhanced cyclonic potential vorticity caused strong baroclinicity, resulting in the sudden development of low pressure at the surface. Under the synoptic structure, localized heavy snowfall occurred in the Yeongdong area within a short time. These results can be confirmed from the vertical analysis of radiosonde data and the characteristics of the MODIS cloud product.

2012년 겨울철 특별관측자료를 이용한 강수현상 시 대기 연직구조와 민감도 실험 (Vertical Atmospheric Structure and Sensitivity Experiments of Precipitation Events Using Winter Intensive Observation Data in 2012)

  • This study analyzed the synoptic distribution and vertical structure about four cases of precipitation occurrences using NCEP/NCAR reanalysis data and upper level data of winter intensive observation to be performed by National Institute of Meteorological Research at Bukgangneung, Incheon, Boseong during 63days from 4 JAN to 6 MAR in 2012, and Observing System Experiment (OSE) using 3DVAR-WRF system was conducted to examine the precipitation predictability of upper level data at western and southern coastal regions. The synoptic characteristics of selected precipitation occurrences were investigated as causes for 1) rainfall events with effect of moisture convergence owing to low pressure passing through south sea on 19 JAN, 2) snowfall events due to moisture inflowing from yellow sea with propagation of Siberian high pressure after low pressure passage over middle northern region on 31 JAN, 3) rainfall event with effect of weak pressure trough in west low and east high pressure system on 25 FEB, 4) rainfall event due to moisture inflow according to low pressures over Bohai bay and south eastern sea on 5 MAR. However, it is identified that vertical structure of atmosphere had different characteristics with heavy rainfall system in summer. Firstly, depth of convection was narrow due to absence of moisture convergence and strong ascending air current in middle layer. Secondly, warm air advection by veering wind with height only existed in low layer. Thirdly, unstable layer was limited in the narrow depth due to low surface temperature although it formed, and also values of instability indices were not high. Fourthly, total water vapor amounts containing into atmosphere was small due to low temperature distribution so that precipitable water vapor could be little amounts. As result of OSE conducting with upper level data of Incheon and Boseong station, 12 hours accumulated precipitation distributions of control experiment and experiments with additional upper level data were similar with ones of observation data at 610 stations. Although Equitable Threat Scores (ETS) were different according to cases and thresholds, it was verified positive influence of upper level data for precipitation predictability as resulting with high improvement rates of 33.3% in experiment with upper level data of Incheon (INC_EXP), 85.7% in experiment with upper level data of Boseong (BOS_EXP), and 142.9% in experiment with upper level data of both Incheon and Boseong (INC_BOS_EXP) about accumulated precipitation more than 5 mm / 12 hours on 31 January 2012.

수치모델을 활용한 2014년 6월 10일 일산 용오름 발생 메커니즘 분석 (A Mechanism Analysis of Landspout Generation Occurred over Ilsan on June 10 2014 using a Numerical Model)

  • 이 연구에서는 2014년 6월 10일 일산에서 발생한 용오름에 대해 구름분해모델(CReSS)를 활용하여 재현실험을 수행하고 발생 메커니즘을 분석하였다. 종관적으로는 대기 상층의 한랭하고 건조한 공기가 남하하였으며, 대기 하층에서는 온난하고 습윤한 공기의 이류가 있었다. 이로 인해 대기 상 하층 기온의 큰 차이가 발생하면서 강한 대기 불안정을 야기 시켰다. 19시 20분에 일산 지역에서 스톰이 발달하기 시작하여 10분 만에 최성기에 도달하였다. 재현 실험 결과 이 때 발달한 스톰의 높이는 9 km이었으며, 스톰 후면으로 갈고리 에코(hook echo)가 나타났다. 일산 주변으로 발달한 스톰 내부에서는 활강 기류가 발생하는 것으로 모의 되었다. 모의된 하강기류가 지면에서 발산되어 수평 흐름으로 변하게 되었고, 이 흐름은 스톰의 후면에서 상승류로 전환 되었다. 이 때 후면에서 강한 하강기류가 발생하였는데 이 하강류가 전환된 상승류를 지면까지 끌어내려 지면에서 소용돌이도가 발달하게 되었다. 그 이후 이 소용돌이도가 연직으로 신장되면서 용오름이 모의되었다. 모의된 용오름에서 발달한 저기압성 소용돌이도는 360 m 고도에서 $3{\times}10^{-2}s^{-1}$이었으며, 용오름의 직경은 900 m 고도에서 1 km로 추정되었다.

2018년 8월 6일 발생한 영동지역 집중호우 사례에 대한 특성 연구 (Characteristics of a Heavy Rainfall Event in Yeongdong Region on 6 August, 2018)

  • 2018년 8월 6일 영동지역에서 강한 대류 세포에 의해 천둥과 번개를 동반한 집중호우(강릉: 93 mm hr-1)가 발생했다. 집중호우 사례의 특성을 조사하기 위하여 COMS 위성의 구름 산출물 자료, 상하층 종관 일기도, ECMWF 재분석 자료, 라디오존데 자료를 이용하였다. 분석결과, 상층의 차고 건조한 공기가 동해상(영동지역)으로 유입되면서 상대적으로 중·하층에 따뜻하고 습한 공기와 만나 대기의 불안정을 만들고 대류운이 급격하게 발달하면서 단시간에 많은 강수가 내렸다. COMS 위성의 구름 운정 온도가 약 -65℃ 이상, 구름 광학 두께는 약 20-25 이상의 높은 값을 보일 때 강수량은 10 mm hr-1 이상으로 나타났다. 따라서 강수량은 구름 내의 수분 양 그리고 구름의 키와 밀접한 관련성을 가지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 라디오존데 자료의 연직 분석에서는 상하층 간의 연직 바람 쉬어가 크게 나타났다. 약 700 hPa 고도에서는 역전층이 나타나면서 상층과 하층간의 상당온위의 차이를 유발하여 대기불안정을 더욱 강화시켰으며 구름층은 고도 약 13 km 이상으로 발달하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 ECMWF 재분석 자료의 연직 분석에서도 확인할 수 있었다.

Investigation of Vertical Profiles of Meteorological Parameters and Ozone Concentration in the Mexico City Metropolitan Area

  • In the Mexico City Metropolitan Area (MCMA), ozone ($O_3$) concentration is still higher than in other urban areas in developed countries. In order to reveal the current state of photochemical air pollution and to provide data for validation of chemical transport models, vertical profiles of meteorological parameters and ozone concentrations were measured by ozonesonde in two field campaigns: the first one, during the change of season from wet to dry-cold (November 2011) and the second during the dry-warm season (March 2012). Unlike previous similar field campaigns, ozonesonde was launched twice daily. The observation data were used to analyze the production and distribution of ozone in the convective boundary layer. The observation days covered a wide range of meteorological conditions, and various profiles were obtained. The evolution of the mixing layer (ML) height was analyzed, revealing that ML evolution was faster during daytime in March 2012 than in November 2011. On a day in November 2011, the early-morning strong wind and the resulting vertical mixing was observed to have brought the high-ozone-concentration air-mass to the ground and caused relatively high surface ozone concentration in the morning. The amount of produced ozone in the MCMA was estimated by taking the difference between the two profiles on each day. In addition to the well-known positive correlation between daily maximum temperature and ozone production, effect of the ML height and wind stagnation was identified for a day in March 2012 when the maximum ground-level ozone concentration was observed during the two field campaigns. The relatively low ventilation coefficient in the morning and the relatively high value in the afternoon on this day implied efficient accumulation of the $O_3$ precursors and rapid production of $O_3$ in the ML.

  • 1987년 10월부터 1988년 8월까지의 한국남해안에서 시험조사선에 의한 현장조사와 NOAA 영상자료로써 남해안연안수의 소장에 관하여 분석 고찰한 결과는 다음과 같다. $\circled1$ 동계의 층별 수온분포는 0m층 6.07~18.62$^{\circ}C$, 30m층 6.02~18.54$^{\circ}C$, 50m층 7.19~18.69$^{\circ}C$로 상.하층간의 수직분포는 거의 균일한 현상이었고 0m층 남해안연안수와 대마난류간의 수평수온경도는 0.28$^{\circ}C$/mile로 년중 최대였다. $\circled2$ 하계의 층별 수온분포는 0m층 19.37~29.92$^{\circ}C$, 30m층 13.26~27.11$^{\circ}C$, 50m층 7.36~26.6$0^{\circ}C$로서 상.하층간의 수직분포는 성층구조로서 30~50m층의 수직수온경도는 0.44$^{\circ}C$/m로 년중 최대였다. $\circled3$ NOAA영상에서 남해안연안수의 분포는 현장자료와 비교적 일치되고 있으나 SST는 현장수온에 비하여 동계는 2~4$^{\circ}C$, 하계는 4~6$^{\circ}C$ 저온분포였다.

A Study on Sea Water and Ocean Current in the Sea Adjacent to Korea Peninsula -II . Geographical Distribution and Chemical Characteristics of Different Mid-Bottom Waters in the Neighbouring Sea of Cheju Island in Summer- (한반도 근해의 해류와 해수특성 -ll. 여름철 제주도 주변해역 중저층에 출현하는 수괴의 지리적 분포와 화학적 특성-)

  • 여름철 한국 남해 50m 이심층에 나타나는 각종 수괴들의 물리$\cdot$화학적 특성과 이들 수괴의 분포에 대해 연구하였다. 그 결과를 요약하면, 제주도를 중심으로 북서쪽해역 중$\cdot$저층에는 비교적 영양염이 풍부하고, 수온 $12^{\circ}C$ 이하의 총해저층냉수계의 해수가 넓게 분포하고 있다. 또한, 남동쪽 해역에서는 수온 $16^{\circ}C$ 이상이고, 염분 $34.0{\%_{\circ}$ 이상인 대마난류수가 50m 수층에서 제주도 연안 약 15km까지 나타난다. 그러나, 남서쪽 외해역에서는 $13^{\circ}C$ 이하의 황해저층냉수 기원의 해수가 분포하고 있으나, 북서쪽 해역에 비해 그 면적도 좁고, 질산염 농도도 현저히 낮다. 이처럼 질산염 농도가 낮은 이유는 남서쪽 외해역까지 남하한 황해저층냉수가 북상하는 대마난류수와 마주치면서 질산염이 거의 고갈된 표층의 해수와 수직혼합이 잘 이루어졌기 때문이라고 판단된다. 한편, 제주도 남쪽해역에서 수층별 수온의 수평분포로부터 황해저층냉수와 대마난류수의 주류는 각각 50m 수층과 그 상부수층으로 유입되는 반면, 수온이 $13-15^{\circ}C^로서 위 두 수괴의 혼합수인 황해난류수는 주로 75m 이심층에서 보다 넓게 분포하고, 제주도 연안해역에서는 50m 수층에도 황해난류수가 존재함을 알 수 있다. 즉, 이들 각 수괴의 분포는 해역별 또는 수심에 따라 다르며, 각 수괴의 영양염 농도는 수층별 해수 체류시간의 차이보다는 물리적 혼합의 세기에 의해 결정되는 것 같다. 그리고, $\Delta Si/\Delta P$비로 볼 때 남쪽해역 중$\cdot$저층에 존재하는 해수는 동해 표$\cdot$중층수 보다 훨씬 젊다고 생각된다.

  • In the orient, ancestor's perception to natural environment was related on the change of climate. Man had been a essence of the warm blood animal, which had suited in mild climate for living and acting. The weather of hot or cold was not only comfort in human life but influences negatively on human behavior. The most people of oriental was particularly interrelated to seasonal change of climate in earlier time. Because, there are elements such as temperature, humidity and wind in the category of climate, these elements differentiated seasonal change. The main methods of perception of natural environment were observed and classified. Although these methods were in the primitive stage, these coincided the tendency of modern science. For example, confucian was recognized the law of vertical air current that warm air rised and cold air sinked. And they could classify all elements nature based on the principles of 'Yin and Yang(陰陽論)' such as male and female, the sun and moon. shade and light etc. Thus results of the observation and the classification concerned with physical environment can be utilize a wisdom for progressive life of inhabitants. It was a origin of the education in natural environment. Commonness in the viewpoint of environment in the orient if recognized the law of circulation. Buddhism, originated in india, realized that all of phenomena in the world was changed slowly through the principles of cycle(輪廻說) such as male and female, the sun and moon, shade and light etc. Thus results of the observation and the classification concerned with physical environment can be utilized a wisdom for progressive life of inhabitants.
