On an Adaptation of Announcement Sound Level in White Noise Environment (백색소음 환경에서 음성안내레벨 적응에 관한 연구)

  • In daily life, there are many information broadcasting by using voice information systems. If surrounding noises are mixed with the information signals, the clarity of the signal become down graded too much to understand. Surrounding noises are not uniformed, but very irregular signals always changing. Therefore, it is very hard to control the output signals along with the irregular signals. This paper suggests a method to change the level of the voice information adapting to the surround noise in the white noise environment. The surround noise level is measured by subtracting the stored output voice signal from the voice signal degraded by the noise. The noise is used to estimation of SNR. And, the method to change the output level of voice signal adapting to the noise level. The suggested adaptive voice information system has the advantage to improve listeners' speech perception and to use amplifier's energy effectively.

  • When the information of announcement facility is modified or added, they are recorded on a tape and then are updated manually using the cassette tape recorder at each office. But the degrade of the tone quality owing to repeated use of the tape and some recording mistakes by processing manually deteriorate the quality of service. And new services such as IN(Intelligent Network) and added functions make the announcement changed very often. Therefore the improved skill of the announcement handling is needed. This paper introduces the implementation of the TDX-10A on-line recording function of transferring voice in PCM data file and storing it in the memory of the recorded announcement facility, when message is recorded onthe fixed type of announcement facility.

  • This thesis describes the method for well voice announcement using the TTS(Text-To-Speech) technology in the shop music broadcasting service. Offering a high quality TTS sound service for each shop requires a great expense. According to a report on the architectural acoustics the room acoustic indexes such as reverberation time and early decay time are closely connected with a subjective awareness about acoustics. By using the result the customers will be able to recognize better the voice announcement by applying sound effect to speech files made by TTS. The result of an aural comprehension examination has shown better about almost all of the parameters by applying reverb effect to TTS sound.

  • This thesis describes the development of a service system for small-sized shops which support not only music broadcasting, but editing and generating voice announcement using the TTS(Text-To-Speech) technology. The system has been developed based on web environments with an easy access whenever and wherever it is needed. The system is able to control the sound using silverlight media player based on the ASP .NET 2.0 technology without any additional application software. Use of the Ajax control allows for multiple users to get the maximum load when needed. TTS is built in the server side so that the service can be provided without user's computer. Due to convenience and usefulness of the system, the business sector can provide better service to many shops. Further additional functions such as statistical analysis will undoubtedly help shop management provide desirable services.

  • In this study, we design a remote broadcasting system that can output announcement to a remote place using wired/wireless telephone. The designed remote broadcasting system uses the LTE module to amplify the telephone voice received wirelessly through the amplifier and output it. Also, a text message for broadcasting can be sent to a remote broadcasting system through a wired/wireless telephone capable of transmitting a text message, and the remote broadcasting system that receives the broadcasting text message can automatically output the corresponding announcement stored in the voice device. For security reasons, the telephone number of the receiver is analyzed by a comparison algorithm so that only the administrator and registered users can use the system. At this time, the recorded announcement broadcast is outputted through the speaker only when it is confirmed as the registered user. The system designed in this study allows the user to output announcements quickly without being limited by time and place.

  • In this paper, we make an experiment on speech recognition systems with barging-in and non-barging-in utterances. Barging-in capability, with which we can say voice commands while voice announcement is coming out, is one of the important elements for practical speech recognition systems. Barging-in capability can be realized by echo cancellation techniques based on the LMS (least-mean-square) algorithm. We use three kinds of telephone interface boards with barging-in capability, which are respectively made by Dialogic Company, Natural MicroSystems Company and Korea Telecom. Speech database was made using these three kinds of boards. We make a comparative recognition experiment with this speech database.

  • The existing wireless village broadcasting systems use the method to connect to village broadcasting system using wire/wireless telephone to announce the important notices, public relations, and disater status. This type of systems have the problems that if broadcaster is facing rough going or forget the announcement time, it is impossible to inform village people important contents, urgent disaster status, evacuation method. This paper describes internet based village broadcasting system using mobile App to solve these problems. Broadcaster can save the voice and send the voice to App server using the mobile App to activate that voice specific day and time. This mobile App system can improve the efficiency and customer satisfaction of village broadcasting system.

  • Advanced Intelligent Network Intelligent Peripheral (AIN IP) is one of the AIN elements which consist of Service Control Point (SCP), Service Switching Point (SSP), and IP for AIN services, such as play announcement, digit collect, voice recognition/synthesis, voice prompt and receipt. This paper, featuring ISUP/INAP protocols, describes the procedures for call setup/release bearer channels between SSP/SCP and IP, todeliver specialized resources through the bearer channels, and it describes the structure and procedure for AIN services such as Automatic Collect Call (ACC), Universal Personal Telecommunication (UPT), and teleVOTing(VOT).   • In this paper, we design and implement an agent-based mask dance guidance system which provides multimedia information on traditional masques through WWW. When the server receives a query from the client, it produces the multimedia data by connecting several real full-motion videos, and synthesizing adequate voice data for guiding announcement. To develop an agent-based guidance system, we designed and implemented four agents such as interface agent, user modeling agent coordinator agent and data management agent. The mask dance guidance system also provides the functions of searching using the keyword and learning.

FMEA Measures for Service Failure Management (서비스 실패 관리를 위한 FMEA 이용 방안)

  • Purpose: This study identifies preventive measures for VOC management by analyzing the causes and effects of factors that contribute to high risk service failure using FMEA on KORAIL VOC data. Methods: Two research methods were used. First, a Risk Priority Number (RPN) was assigned to each KORAIL VOC based on Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Second, multiple regression analysis was run with RPN factors that include severity, occurrence, and detection as the independent variables and customer dissatisfaction as the dependent variable. Results: Multiple regression analysis showed that RPN factors including severity, occurrence, and detection had significantly positive relationship with customer dissatisfaction. Based on these results, an FMEA was performed on VOC categories with high RPN for railroad stations including platform, ticketing, ticket verification, parking, and escalator, and VOC categories with high RPN for trains including entrance doors, cafes, air quality, announcement, and ticket verification. Conclusion: This study has practical implications to service failure management. A priority order using FMEA was established for the list of customer dissatisfactions that should be addressed to actively manage service failure, and strategies for tackling this priority list are offered.
