The purpose of this study is to analyse the current status and to suggest some strategies for vitalizations of the citizen participation in Korean public library administration as a part of exploring ways toward the development of public libraries in the time of localization. The concepts, types, needs and some problems of the citizen participation in local public administration are examined as a theoretical framework for this study. Public library board system in America and public library council system in Japan are investigated on their history, legal status, composition, function and are evaluated as a citizen participation system. Results of the survey on actual conditions of the institutional device for citizen participation in Korean public library administration, library administration committee, are presents. And some strategies for vitalizations of the system are suggested.

This study reinterpreted the value of traditional communities in rural areas and explored ways to revitalize sustainable communities. To do this, we surveyed the members' perceptions about the activities of the community organization as assessed through a questionnaire. The questionnaire items focused on the participation, satisfaction and contribution of the members of the community organization, with additional questions investigating the idea of the community vitalizations plan. A self-report questionnaire survey was administered to 321 members of the community, and the results were analyzed through technical data, t-test and ANOVA analysis by using the SPSS program. In the results, the perceptions of the members of the traditional village community differed significantly according to socio - demographic factors and member recognition characteristics. Especially, males were more voluntarily and positively compared to females, and the lower the age of satisfaction, the lower was the perceived individual satisfaction with community activities. In the case of perceived contributions to individuals and the community, the participants perceived positively in the emotional support for the individual's participation in the organization. On the other hand, the results confirmed that the contribution to the local community is important in realistic aspects such as regional vitalizations. It is confirmed by the decrease in the number of members in response to the difficulty of the organization. (Ed- 'the lack of the size of the membership' simply repeats 'the decrease in the number of members'; thus it's unnecessary).

Gentrification is appearing in various areas. Especially commercial gentrification, the value of property is rising and it means the change of commercial sphere in revitalizing the underdeveloped commercial. In this study, Identify the process of increasing the franchise rate, which is changing gradually in commercial areas. We analyze prior studies on gentrification and franchise. Identify changing of land use distribution in Samcheong-dong area and analyze franchise change process. As a result of analyzing the changing of land use in Samcheong-dong area, the number of houses and other uses has continued to decrease. In the case of franchises, it increased sharply and in the case of general commercial, it steadily decreased. Looking at analyzing the franchise change process in Samcheong-dong area, In the franchise change process, there is very little change in land use from residential and other uses to general commercial. Representative spaces that show the process of franchise change are around the three-way streets, around the community service center and around the police station.

As a future key industry, digital signage is being noticed that provides various type of contents and message through a digital display. In particular, korean digital signage industry gets a favorable evaluation for the high level of digital display industry and wired and wireless networking infrastructure. This paper discusses on not only the current status of digital signage in terms of the overall development and standardization, but the very recent technologies such as the ultra-high definition video and human perception that can be applied for future digital signage. Then, this paper concludes by deriving the problems with the current digital signage industry and presenting solutions for future vitalizations of digital signage.

The interest on the marine leisure sports is rapidly increasing with the advent of the five-day week and with increments of GNP. The self-governing bodies are trying to drag large investments into the marine leisures industry through international exhibitions and yacht rallies. Unfortunately, the demands in the domestic area don't increase differently from those demand patterns in the advanced countries. In this study, several suggestions for vitalizations on the marine leisure industry are made after surveying the recognition degree of the domestic people on the marine leisures and the current states of their spending on the marine leisures. As results, it has been shown that the policies based upon negative factors coming from negative understandings on the leisure activities should be largely revised. Further, it seems that the policies for the preparations of the laws and the regulations for the marine leisures as well as for the R&D policies should be taken systematically so that the infra structures are constructed while improving the negative understandings on the leisures. The fundamental databases investigated in this study will help the policy makers and the investors reduce the risks of the policy and the investments in the field of marine leisure sports.

The study aims to examine the service preference between the NEIS(National Education Information Systems) and alternatives, based on the benefits, costs and risks of NEIS service for parents, and finally propose the vitalizations plans for that public services. As a part of public services, NEIS has not only provided the educational information for the students, which enables school parents to suffice for information need, and but also leaded in the parents' participation for the various educational policies. However, major NEIS users such as teachers and parents recently began to blame for the various data errors and connection failures of NEIS. Despite of the research importance, most of NEIS studies severely depended on TAM and researches investigating the preference of school parents for NEIS services rarely exist. The study classifies NEIS parents services into benefits, costs, and risks based on ANP BCR model, identifies the preference for the services, compares the NEIS services and alternatives, and provides the results of sensitivity analyses. The analyses identify that NEIS was not frequently used by school parents and that the service preference of the school parents was not considered yet. Consequently, the study stresses the acceptance vitalizations plans for NEIS.

Recently, people aim for a healthy environment which enhances quality of life, and also there are communication in green space like therapy garden and weekend farm growing. Meanwhile, in Korea, administrative organizations have leaded to plan and proceed in reference to physical regeneration in local areas, and this had caused social and maintenance problems. The purpose of this study was to introduce a concept of community garden which is regarded as green and community space and to insist on a way of residents participation on plan for community garden and its necessity. For that, there were five ways of residents participation on plan for community garden based on literatured and theoretical contemplation and case studies, and these were subject to construction project of community garden in deteriorated area in Jeonju city. This study can provide improvement guidelines for the initial stage of plan for residents participation community garden.

The research tried to realize the policy which serves Innovation ability for culture-contents producer, and culture-contents producer's Innovation ability which impacts OSMU of contents in the policies of government for vitalizations of culture-contents industry. As a result, we have reached the conclusion that the supportive policies for technology, exports and marketing were effective to strengthen the innovation ability of management of human resource, creation and production area. Also we have found that content's OSMU has been influenced by innovation ability. The implication of this study are followed. First, the policies which are intended to revitalize the culture content industry by government has the effect that are some different ones from the settlement and intention. Second, the production industry of animation do still passive and closed organization management, without the efforts for opened and cooperative management. Therefore, the efforts of government which are more practical and realistic supports to revitalize and based on strategic cooperation of industry.

Throughout the world, interest in issues relevant to energy, resources, environment, etc, is ever soaring. Therefore, the restoration of modern architecture that fulfilled its epochal function is working as a cultural, historic medium. In addition, it also plays its role in the side of environmental approach and so on. Moreover, the museum, which was only used for the possession of art collections and exhibition purposes, is currently expanding its scale and range as the center of culture and education. Also in reality, with the use of various programs, it is globally pursuing urban vitalizations. This study looks at the meaning of modem architecture restoration as well as its relationship with urban area. Furthermore, the purpose of this study is to look for design method's direction by finding the relevance between modem architecture restoration and museum during the restoration. This study is based on transformation and preservation scale during the restoration of modern architecture. It analyzed plane and design direction. Additionally, this study analyzed the architectural and regional effect caused by restoration. As a result, in accordance with the direction of museum and the usage, scale, structure as well as superficial aging condition of previous architecture, it shows difference in design methods in the process of restoration. The exterior of architecture was restored and preserved to its original form in order to show the symbolical form through historical value. This is essential to the modern museum. On the other hand, the interior of architecture put more value on utilization concept that its preservation and thus was restored accordingly. However, in all the cases, previous architecture were commonly used and even when alterations and additions were made due to aging and their change in usage, they were restored in a way that preserved and harmonized previous architecture. If the design method for restoration of modern architecture selects the restoration method by considering problems related to location, building value, structure, if it is studied from various angles and is restored after considering its usage as a museum, then we will be able to generate cultural and historical synergy effect. Furthermore, apart from architecture, it will have great impact on urban vitalizations.

Recently, there has been an increasing interest of serious games escaping it's negative views on games in general, broadening and widening the area in the scopes of game field. Among these, educational serious games not only satisfy both the purpose of enjoyment and educational values, but also has been looking for new ways of distribution of the digital textbooks and utilizing them to the best of their potentials. This can change the ways we understand things by using the revitalization on the basis of serious game competitions. The purpose of this study was to analyze educational game and game competition and to develop the efficient management strategies.
