In this study, the usefulness of Radar method by means of assessing deck data-layer properties-was tested on the highway bridge. The obtained GPR data were compared with values measured from drilled cores and damage mapping by the visual survey. It is shown that GPR can provide the highly accurate measurements of layer properties of concrete decks and can map areas of deterioration in bridge by dielectric constants.

This paper concentrates on an experimental results on visual only recognition tasks using an image transform approach and HMM based recognition system. There are two approaches for extracting features of lipreading, a lip contour based approach and an image transform based one. The latter obtains a compressed representation of the image pixel values that contain the speaker's mouth results in superior lipreading performance. In addition, PCA(Principal component analysis) is used for fast algorithm. Finally, HMM recognition tasks are compared with the another.

This article reviews the effects of VDT tasks on multiple resources for processing and storage in short-term working memory. MD and PD method were introduced toevaluate the modalities (auditory-visual) in the multiple resources model. The subjects conducted 2 sessions of 50 minites VDT tasks. Before, between and after VDT tasks, MD, PD task performance scores and CFF(critical flicker frequency0 values were measured. The review suggested that the modalities of human information processing in working memory were affected by VDT tasks with different task contents.

In this study, the performance of the DPRMs is evaluated and the measurement precision for the pile driving is presented. The DPRMs is a visual-measurement system for the pile rebound and the penetration movement using a high speed line-scan camera. But the measurement errors of the DPRMs are caused by the strong impact for the pile driving. Therefore, the DPRMs should guarantee its measurement values for the pile driving. For this reason, the performance of the DPRMs by the vibration signal analysis is studied. It is found from this study that the measurement values of the DPRMs are reliable.

Although low spatial resolution satellite images like MODIS and GOCI can be important to observe land surface, it is often difficult to visually interpret the imagery because of the low contrast by prevailing cloud covers. We proposed a simple and adaptive stretching algorithm to enhance image contrast over land areas in cloudy images. The proposed method is basically a linear algorithm that stretches only non-cloud pixels. The adaptive linear stretch method uses two values: the low limit (L) from image statistics and upper limit (U) from low boundary value of cloud pixels. The cloud pixel value was automatically determined by pre-developed empirical function for each spectral band. We used MODIS and GOCI images having various types of cloud distributions and coverage. The adaptive contrast stretching method was evaluated by both visual interpretation and statistical distribution of displayed brightness values.

Results - Therefore, after the enterprise product design project analysis, effectiveness and the customer degree of satisfaction must be appraised to obtain the maximum value for the benefit on behalf of the implementation goals, the promotion product level and market competition strength. Conclusions - In multi criterion decision making (MCDM), using its searching software capacity to obtain the optimal solution.

Using current-voltage (I-V) and capacitance-voltage (C-V) measurements, the electrical properties of Au and Cu Schottky contacts to n-Ge were comparatively investigated. Lower values of barrier height, ideality factor and series resistance were obtained for the Au contact as compared to the Cu contact. The values of capacitance showed strong dependence on the bias voltage and the frequency. The presence of an inversion layer at the interface might reduce the intercept voltage at the voltage axis, lowering the barrier height for C-V measurements, especially at lower frequencies. In addition, a higher interface state density was observed for the Au contact. The generation of sputter deposition-induced defects might occur more severely for the Au contact; these defects affected both the I-V and C-V characteristics.

Storytelling plays a very important role in emotional marketing recently. Storytelling marketing emphasizes a unique story and mythical meaning of the product, rather than its practical function. This is a faithful reflection of what the Dream Society has proposed. In this article, we are researching the consumption value system, and analyze various cases focusing on a coffee advertisement. In particular, by delivering a story, we will concentrate on advertising that appeals to utopian values and discusses the actual impact that it brings. If we communicate utopian values to consumers through various stories, business effects will be maximized, which will strengthen the brand image. The originality of this paper is to discuss the theory of consumption value system positively with the concept of storytelling. Therefore, we will draw conclusions as to which orientation is most ideal for storytelling in advertising. Understanding these business models will help you build an effective marketing strategy for the Dream Society.

Rapid changes in the period has altered the changes in consumption. The concept of consumption changed from simply being supplied with goods to the one that considers values' or buying images such as services and information along with the product. Diversification or individuality of values caused demands in store differentiation for companies in industrial activities and due to such demands, a necessity of visual merchandising needed for strategic image plans has been emphasized. Therefore, an objective of this research was to clarify differences of demographical variables of clothing purchase behavior according to the response level of department store VMD and to investigate about the correlations with clothing purchase behavior to provide fundamental guidelines in establishing strategies of VMD according to consumption motivation as a new perception about life style.

The study of traditional costume is significant in terms of figuring out of the reality of its originality and enrich the costume culture of today. The purpose of this study is to analyze the aesthetic characteristics and to contemplate the aesthetic values of the Kokuryo costume. Kokuryo costume were characterized with the simpleness in its clothing constructions. The spaces found on the dresses were emphasized giving a geometric characteristics and abstract images. Many different colors were used for tops, bottoms, and border elements showing value contrast in each parts of dress. Patterns were simplified in a dot or stripe shapes impling a certain symbols. Dot patterns were varied in its shapes. In general. the decorative elements were simple and eliminated. Through the process of investigating these aesthetic characteristics, aesthetic values were found. The aesthetics of nature were favoured and tradition were respected. Religious mind were favoured and progressive spirit were endowed by the Kokuryo people. They have pursued the diversities and many changes in visual forms of dresses which were the manifestations of their esprit.
