주거 공간 계획을 위한 시각장애인의 행위에 따른 동작특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Residential Facility Based on the Characteristics of Behavior and Motion for People with visual Impairments)

  • People with visual impairments are difficult to go to education facility by themselves, because of their limited visual ability, orientation, and usability field, so they prefer dormitories. Those dormitories playa role in living space, education, communication and culture function. Therefore those facilities planned more user centered design, since they are influenced by user actability and their values. User centered designs that match between the user and space are understood as well as their characteristics and behavior. Especially for understanding their activity, observation is conducted about their behavior in dormitories. Thus the purpose of this study is suggested to be a basic source that planning about residential facility for people with visual impairments through interview and observation investigation by analysis that they resident in space motion and performance.

  • For the spatial experience of spectators visiting a museum, the route search of trying to follow the spatial structure or production of exhibition and the information search of trying to see are accomplished at the same time. In such process, the spectator's reaction of visual perception produces the result of emotional reaction and action exchanged between human and space by going through the recognition and perception on the target of environment factor. For the spatial experience of a spectator, the reaction of visual perception which interacts according to the exhibit and exhibition environment within space according to viewing purpose, interest and concern of spectator comes out as visual activity which is an activity to understand the spatial information shown as various activities according to spatial structure and unfolding characteristics of the display. The purpose of this study is to identify The Correlation of Spectator Movement Created According to Structural Form of Exhibition Area Based on Interaction between Exhibition Area Structure and Spectator to utilize as basic material while designing museum exhibition using isovist field which is a quantitative analysis tool of spectator's visual behavior and spatial structure at each exhibition area.

  • 패션 점포의 비주얼(visual) 환경은 소비자를 점포로 이끌고, 최종적으로 구매를 유도하기 위해 매우 중요한 요소로 본 연구에서는 패션 점포를 방문하는 소비자들의 행동에 영향을 미치는 비주얼 환경 요소에 대하여 연구하였다. 먼저 소매 점포에서 점포의 비주얼 환경이 소비자들의 행동(점포에 머무르는 시간)에 미치는 영향을 조사하였고 다음 실제 점포의 비주얼 환경의 차원은 어떻게 구성되는지, 또 구성된 요소 별로 소비자특성에 따른 선호의 정도는 어떻게 다른지 살펴보았다. 그 결과 패션 점포의 비주얼 환경이 실제 소비자들의 패션 점포에서의 체류 시간에 영향을 줌을 확인하였다. 또 비주얼 환경의 요인으로써 디자인, 편리성, 상품 평가의 용이성, 분위기의 4가지 차원을 규명하였고, 소비자 특성에 따라 선호되는 요인이 특성 별로 다름을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 소매 점포에서의 비주얼 환경의 중요성을 확인할 수 있고, 실제 점포의 비주얼 정책 수립과 점포 비주얼 환경의 개선에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

곡선반경 유형에 따른 운전자 시선특성분석 (A Study on the Analysis of Driver's Visual Behavior Characteristics according to the Type of Curve Radius)

  • Understanding driver's characteristic of visual activity is important process because driver depends on a visual signal more than 90% for getting outside information needed to drive, thus a series of driving, including perception, judgement, and activity, is completed. This study analyzes quantified driver's sight range in curved section where recognition of various information is critical due to biggest speed change among sections. Simulation is utilized for this study because of safety problem on field experiment and difficulties in using equipment. Building 6 roads that have different in curve radius by virtual driving map, experiment is carried out recruiting 30 people. Through analytical researches, it shows that drivers keep an eye on direction of driving, and driver's visual range is narrowed on left curve than right curve, and the more curve radius become small, the more drivers see in narrow angle.

실물대 모형을 이용한 고령자 주거공간의 생활행위별 조명환경 평가에 관한 연구 (Evaluation of Lighting Environment of Residential Space for Senior People by each Life Behavior with Mock-up Model)

  • The purpose of this study is to execute evaluation experiment to know the evaluation property of lighting environment of residential space for senior people, considering visual characteristics along aging, and finally provide basic data for the lighting plan to ensure the visual amenity. Processes of this study are as follows;1) Analyzed the variation property of visual sensibility and visual ability of senior people along aging. 2) Selected 3 types of life behavior(rest, conversation and reading) after checking life behavior in residential space for senior people based on advanced study. 3) Made the Mock-up Model that Dimming is possible, actual furnace to model. 4) Executed sensitivity evaluation experiment about lighting environment. 5) Analyzed evaluation property of lighting environment of residential space for senior people. Results of this study are as follows, 1) With lens-filter, we got comfort and amenity in bulb-color lamp which has similar color temperature with red of lens filter. 2) Lighting environment tests during conversation : With lens filters, they felt comfort on bulb color in case of higher illuminance than 850lux and daylight color in 500lux. 3) Lighting environment tests at reading : With lens filter, bulb color got better score in brightness and appropriateness than daylight color.

인간공학적인 시선유도시설 설치기준에 관한 연구 (Criteria of Installing Delineators Considering Human Factors)

  • 야간 교통사고는 도로 조명이 적절하지 못할 때 증가되는 경향이 있고, 차량이 도로 밖으로 이탈하는 사고는 시선유도 시설의 부재로 인한 대표적인 사고의 유형이라 할 수 있다. 곡선부의 교통사고와 인적피해를 줄이기 위해 운전자의 안전운행을 유도하고 교통소통 증진과 도로상의 안전을 도모하는 도로안전시설의 설치가 시급한 실정이다. 이에 교통량이 상대적으로 적은 지방부 도로에 대한 도로조명 설치와 같은 과다한 지출을 줄이고 오히려 비용 절감효과는 물론 시설물 설치가 용이한 시선유도시설(Delineators)의 설치기준이 요구되어진다. 곡선부에서 운전자의 시선을 유도하기 위한 시설은 시선유도표지(Delineator), 갈매기표지(Chevron Alignment Sign), 표지병(Raised Pavement Marker)이 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 곡선부의 선형 변화에 대한 정보를 가장 효율적으로 전달하는 시설물인 갈매기표지와 차량의 차로이탈 및 차로침범 예방시설물인 표지병을 대상으로 설치기준에 대해 검토하고 운전자의 시각행태 및 차로침범을 고려하여 안전하고 효율적인 설치기준을 제시하였다.

교통안전 증진을 위한 국도 곡선부에서의 운전자 시각행태 분석 (Analysis on driver's visual behaviour at the curve sections of a national road for enhancing traffic safety)

  • 운전에 필요한 외부 정보는 90% 이상을 운전자의 시각에 의존하고 운전자의 시각활동과 이에 따른 인지, 판단, 행동에 이르는 일련의 과정을 통하여 이루어짐으로 운전자의 시각활동 특성을 파악하는 것은 중요한 의미를 갖는다 특히 곡선부에서는 원활한 운전성을 확보하고 운전중의 교통안전 증진을 위하여 시선유도 시설을 설치하고 운전자에게 전방의 상황을 사전에 제공하고 있다. 따라서 시선유도시설은 무엇보다 운전자의 시각특성이 반영된 관점에서 시선유도 시설의 설치기준, 효용 등이 재검토되어야 할 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 위와 같은 배경을 바탕으로 교통사고 다발지점으로 지정되어 있는 국도 34호선(진천 IC. 벽암리∼입장면 구간, 편도1차로)을 대상으로 운전자의 시각행태와 시선유도 시설을 확인하는 시각적 일련의 과정을 파악하는데 주목적을 두었다. 그리고 이 결과를 바탕으로 곡선부 교통사고 다발지점에서의 교통안전 증진을 위하여 시선유도시설에 관한 운전자 시각행태를 파악하고 향후 정비되어야 할 방향 검토에 목적을 두었다.

어린이 재활병원 공간구조의 시지각적 특성 연구 - 소아재활 외래진료부 및 재활치료부 영역을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Visual Cognitive Characteristics of the Spatial Configuration in Children's Rehabilitation Hospitals - Focused on the Pediatric Rehabilitation Outpatient and Therapy Areas -)

  • In many theoretical and empirical studies on the design issues of therapeutic healthcare facilities, spatial configuration that promotes users' wayfinding behavior, has been emphasized as a significant factor to mitigate stressful experiences and to enhance restorative quality in the healthcare environment. This is also applicable to the healthcare setting for children. However, not much evidence has been reported with regard to the relationship between spatial configuration and wayfinding behaviors in this specific setting. Moreover, healthcare facilities for children with physical disabilities need more attention to provide easy wayfinding due to various physical restrictions. The aim of this study is therefore, to unfold the relationship between spatial configuration and visual cognitive qualities of outpatient spaces in the selected children's rehabilitation hospitals in Seoul, by examining visual cognitive attributes such as visibility, accessibility, and intelligibility. In the first phase, the spatial layout of the hospitals was analyzed, with an emphasis on the major outpatient areas such as the entrance lobby, doctors' examination, and physical therapy zones. In the second phase, a space syntax tool was implemented to examine visual cognitive characteristics of the spatial configuration. The spatial configuration parameters measured were integration, integration core, visual isovist field continuity, correlation between integration and step depth, and the correlation between integration n and integration 3. As a result, the integration was higher in the hall type configuration. Circulation intersections acted mostly as integration cores for better visibility. Some areas showed the lack of continuity in the visual isovist fields overlap and irregular correlation between integration and step depth. The intelligibility was higher in the circulation area and social interaction spaces such as a cafe, reception waiting, and therapy waiting areas. Based on the analysis, design implication and possible future improvement were discussed to enhance wayfinding experiences in the hospitals for children with physical disabilities.

The MPI CyberMotion Simulator: A Novel Research Platform to Investigate Human Control Behavior

  • The MPI CyberMotion Simulator provides a unique motion platform, as it features an anthropomorphic robot with a large workspace, combined with an actuated cabin and a linear track for lateral movement. This paper introduces the simulator as a tool for studying human perception, and compares its characteristics to conventional Stewart platforms. Furthermore, an experimental evaluation is presented in which multimodal human control behavior is studied by identifying the visual and vestibular responses of participants in a roll-lateral helicopter hover task. The results show that the simulator motion allows participants to increase tracking performance by changing their control strategy, shifting from reliance on visual error perception to reliance on simulator motion cues. The MPI CyberMotion Simulator has proven to be a state-of-the-art motion simulator for psychophysical research to study humans with various experimental paradigms, ranging from passive perception experiments to active control tasks, such as driving a car or flying a helicopter.

제품의 시각이미지에 관한 고찰-II-생활자의 구매행동의 유형을 중심으로- (A Study on a Visual Image of Products-IIConcentrated on a type in purchasing behavior of consumer)

  • In my previous research (1986), I considered a general characteristics of a visual image of products. There were really many difficulties in designing all kinds of needs in compliance with the all of their requests in order to satisfy consumers. In addition, under the characteristics of goods, the consumers seem to choose an opti$$\mu$ com\ulcornerbinations after considering the combinations of trade-off. Therefore, this study that selected a watch as an object on this study was analyzed a Design Assessment Structure under the trade-off. As a result of this research: First, an effect of a negative superiority appeared under the trade-off condition among ifems when consumers purchased products. Second, these four items were extracted from the eight items which were suggested in this study through an analysis of factors. Third, the three courses were conformed when a consumer purchased a watch. Fourth, in the all kinds of goods, the price which was considered as an important point was not important item ina relation to a purchasing behavior. According to the concomitant effects, we figured out these four items, that is, form, thickness, readability and wearing and its have to be considered a lot when designing a watch.
