  • 본 논문에서는 주파수 자원의 고갈로 인하여 차세대 무선 정보통신으로 사용의 가능성이 예상되는 가시광 소자를 조명, 신호기, 전광표시, 표시 등에 이용하여, 발광효율의 가시 광 반도체가 조명이나 표시에 이용되어지는 경향이 있고 거기다 고속으로 점멸 가능한 능력을 갖는 것이나 이을 이용한 가시광 통신의 무선 통신에의 응용과 표준화 기술에 대하여 알아보고자한다.

Visible Light Driven ZnFe2Ta2O9 Catalyzed Decomposition of H2S for Solar Hydrogen Production

  • Tantalum-containing metal oxides, well known for their efficiency in water splitting and H2 production, have never been used in visible light driven photodecomposition of H2S and H2 production. The present work is an attempt in this direction and investigates their efficiency. A mixed metal oxide, ZnFe2Ta2O9, with the inclusion of Fe2O3 to impart color, was prepared by the conventional ceramic route in single- and double-calcinations (represented as ZnFe2Ta2O9-SC and ZnFe2Ta2O9-DC respectively). The XRD characterization shows that both have identical patterns and reveals tetragonal structure to a major extent and a minor contribution of orthorhombic crystalline system. The UV-visible diffuse reflection spectra demonstrate the intense, coherent and wide absorption of visible light by both the catalysts, with absorption edge at 650 nm, giving rise to a band gap of 1.9 eV. Between the two catalysts, however, ZnFe2Ta2O9-DC has greater absorption in almost the entire wavelength region, which accounts for its strong brown coloration than ZnFe2Ta2O9-SC when viewed by the naked eye. In photocatalysis, both catalysts decompose H2S under visible light irradiation (λ ≥ 420 nm) and produce solar H2 at a much higher rate than previously reported catalysts. Nevertheless, ZnFe2Ta2O9-DC distinguishes itself from ZnFe2Ta2O9-SC by exhibiting a higher efficiency because of its greater light absorption. Altogether, the tantalum-containing mixed metal oxide proves its efficient catalytic role in H2S decomposition and H2 production process also.

고효율 가시광 반응형 광촉매를 이용한 NOx의 광저감율 평가 (Evaluation on the Photodegradation Rate of NOx Using High Efficiency Visible-Light Responsive Photocatalysts)

  • Titania is widely used as an effective photocatalyst for the photodegradation of environmental pollutants in air. In this study, novel N-doped $ZrO_2/TiO_2$ photocatalysts were synthesized via sol-gel method and characterized by UV-Vis spectrophotometer, transmission electron microscope, and X-ray diffractometer. N-doped $ZrO_2/TiO_2$ photocatalysts were nano-sized with an average particle size of about 20 nm. The XRD pattern of N-doped $ZrO_2/TiO_2$ photocatalysts showed both anatase and rutile phases. The photocatalytic activity of N-doped $ZrO_2/TiO_2$ photocatalysts was evaluated by degradation of NO under UV and visible light irradiation at various parameters such as amount of photocatalyst, concentration of NO, and intensity of light. The photocatalytic activity of N-doped $ZrO_2/TiO_2$ photocatalysts was effective for the enhancement of the degradation of NO and higher than that of $TiO_2$ photocatlysts under UV and visible light irradiation.

Enhanced Photocatalytic Properties of Visible Light Responsive La/TiO2-Graphene Composites for the Removal of Rhodamin B in Water

  • $La/TiO_2$ - graphene composites were synthesized in this study, and applied to the photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) under UV-visible light irradiation. X-ray diffraction (XRD), surface analysis, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis demonstrated that $La/TiO_2$ nanoparticles were well distributed on the surface of graphene, and formed the heterostructure of $La/TiO_2$-graphene. Compared to the pure $TiO_2$, $La/TiO_2$-graphene composites displayed much higher photocatalytic activities in RhB degradation under UV-visible light irradiation. The photocatalytic data of $La/TiO_2$-graphene composites exhibit extended light absorption in the visible light region, and possess better charge separation capability than that of pure $TiO_2$. The high photocatalytic activity was attributed to the composite's high adsorptivity, extended light absorption, and increased charge separation efficiency, due to the excellent electrical properties of graphene, and the large surface contact between graphene and $La/TiO_2$ nanoparticles.

가시광 수소생산용 CdSe/ZnO nanorod 투명전극 (CdSe Sensitized ZnO Nanorods on FTO Glass for Hydrogen Production under Visible Light Irradiation)

  • The ZnO is able to produce hydrogen from water however it can only absorb ultraviolet region due to its 3.37eV of wide band gap. Therefore efficiency of solar hydrogen production is low. In this work we report investigation results of improved visible light photo-catalytic properties of CdSe quantum dots(QDs) sensitized ZnO nanorod heterostructures. Hydrothermally vertically grown ZnO nanorod arrays on FTO glass were sensitized with CdSe by using SILAR(successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction) method. Morphology of grown ZnO and CdSe sensitized ZnO nanorods had been investigated by FE-SEM that shows length of $2.0{\mu}m$, diameter of 120~150nm nanorod respectively. Photocatalytic measurements revealed that heterostructured samples show improved photocurrent density under the visible light illumination. Improved visible light performance of the heterostructures is resulting from narrow band gap of the CdSe and its favorable conduction band positions relative to potentials of ZnO band and water redox reaction.

Visible light assisted photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue dye using Ni doped Co-Zn nanoferrites

  • Nickel substituted cobalt-zinc ferrite nanoparticles with composition Co0.5Zn0.5NixFe2-xO4 (x = 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0) were synthesized using a wet chemical method named citrate precursor method. Various characterizations of the prepared nanoferrites were done using X-ray powder diffractometry (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), UV visible spectroscopy and Fourier transform spectroscopy technique (FT-IR). XRD confirmed the formation of cubic spinel structure of the samples with single phase having one characteristic peak at (311). The value of optical band gap (Eg) was found to decrease with Ni substitution and have values in the range 2.30eV to 1.69eV. A Fenton-type system was created by photocatalytic activity using source of visible light for removal of methylene blue dye. Observations revealed increase in the degradation of methylene blue dye with increasing nickel content in the samples. The degradation percentage was increased from 77.32% for x = 0.25 to 90.16% for x = 1.0 in one hour under the irradiation of visible light. Also, the degradation process was found to have pseudo first order kinetics model. Hence, it can be observed that synthesized nickel doped cobalt-zinc ferrites have good capability for water purification and its degradation efficiency enhanced with increase in nickel concentration.

가시광통신에서 플리커 완화 및 BER 성능 향상을 위한 코딩 기법에 대한 연구 (A Study on Coding Techniques for Flicker Reduction and BER Performance Improvement in Visible Light Communication)

  • 본 논문에서는 가시광 통신시스템에서 플리커 완화 및 BER 성능 향상을 위한 코딩 기법에 관해서 연구하였다. 가시광 통신의 전송 속도를 높이기 위해 다수의 LED를 사용하는 멀티전송 다중 LED 전송시스템이 활발히 연구되고 있다. 그러나 N개의 LED를 사용하는 다중 LED 가시광 통신시스템에서 N개의 LED를 통해 데이터를 전송할 때, 데이터 시퀀스에 따라 동시에 0이 전송되는 연집 Zero 구간이 발생하고, 또한 1의 전송 구간이 서로 다르기 때문에 플리커 현상과 Dimming level의 변화로 인한 조명 성능 저하 현상이 발생하게 된다. 가시광 통신시스템은 통신 및 조명 기능을 동시에 수행하는 통신시스템이다. 따라서 통신의 전송 효율과 조명의 밝기를 동시에 고려되어야 한다. 우리는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 각각의 LED 데이터 시퀀스의 코딩 맵핑을 통해 플리커 현상과 Dimming level 문제를 완화하고 에러 검출 및 BER 성능을 향상시킬 수 있는 플리커 완화 기법을 제안하였다.

새로운 광증감제의 양에 따른 치과용 Bis-GMA 복합수지의 중합효율 (Photopolymerization Efficiency of Bis-GMA Dental Resin Composites with New Photosensitizers)

  • 치과용 가시광선 종합형 복합수지의 광중합효율을 높이기 위해 합성한 bis-GMA 레진에 2종의 새로운 광중감제인 PD, DA를 넣고 현재 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 광중감제인 CQ와 조사시간 및 광중감제의 양을 증가시키며 광중합효율을 비교한 결과 다음과 간은 결론을 얻었다. 1. Bis-GMA의 합성여부를 적외선 흡수 분광법, 핵자기공명 흡수법 등 분광학적인 방법으로 확인하였으며 핵자기 공명 흡수법으로 확인한 결과 이성질체가 존재함을 알 수 있었다. 2. 조사시간이 증가됨에 따라 광중감제의 종류에 관계없이 광중합효율이 점차 증가되었으며, 약 60초까지 조사였을 때에는 광중합효율이 급격히 증가되었으나 그 이상 조사하여도 광중합효율이 크게 증가되지 않았다. 3. 같은 시간 조사하였을 경우 대체적으로 광중합효율이 증가되었으나 CQ와 DA의 경우는 3.0 mol% 첨가하였을 때에 비해 6.0 mol% 첨가되었을 때의 광중합효율이 오히려 더 낮게 나타나는 양상을 보였다. 4. 같은 시간동안 조사하고, 같은 양의 광중감제를 첨가하였을 경우 DA < CQ < PD 순으로 광중합효율이 높게 나타나서 CQ에 비해 PD를 첨가하였을 때의 광중합효율이 높게 나타났다. 5. 이상의 결과로부터 PD가 CQ를 대체할 수 있는 효율이 좋은 새로운 광중감제로서 사용될 가능성을 보여주었다.

이종접합 나노 광촉매를 이용한 시멘트 모르타르의 물성 평가 (Properties of Cement Mortar with Nano-heterojunction Photocatalysts)

  • The properties of cement mortar with nano-heterojunction photocatalysts were investigated in this study. The following tests were conducted with the cement mortar : (1) Flow test of fresh cement mortar, (2) compressive strength and (3) acetaldehyde removal efficiency under visible light. Results indicated that the cement mortar with nano-heterojunction photocatalysts showed higher compressive strength and higher acetaldehyde removal efficiency as the mixing ratio of nano-heterojunction increased.
