  • The cable-based retractable membrane roof makes it impossible to maintain its shape and stiffness during driving process, unlike the hard-type retractable roof. Consequently, monitoring using a relatively simple wireless video transmission device is required. However, since video data has a bigger transmission rating than other monitoring data in terms of the structure velocity or acceleration, there is a need to develop transmission device that is easy to install and entails low maintenance cost. This paper studies on a real-time video transmission system for monitoring the cable-based retractable membrane roof while driving. A video transfer software, using the mobile network, is designed and the embedded system is constructed. Ultimately, the data transmission server is tested. Connecting a trolley to the system allows testing of the validity and efficiency of the developed system through the video data transmitted in the driving process. Result of the test shows that the developed system enables multi-device data transfer with monitoring via the mobile network.

  • A objective quality assessment for the evaluation performance of a video transmission system as a basic step for construction of digital video transmission system between the spots and headquarter. Due to a limit of an analog video transmission system and the developments of various digital media and digital video standards, the need of introduce of a digital system are increased gradual1y, At this points. previously performance evaluations are performed and the quality assessment is the most important thing. We can be divided quality assessment method by the subjective quality assessment and objective quality assessment. The subjective quality assessment method has some problems which are required high cost and much time to evaluate the quality, And because existing objective quality assessment method such that PSNR are based on an analog form, the correlation with subjective data is very low. Therefore we design a new objective quality assessment method using Gabor wavelet transform reflecting HVS(Human Visual System), Designed objective quality assessment method is superior to other objective method such that PSNR or EPSNR In this paper, we proposed objective quality assessment using Gabor wavelet can be used for performance evaluation and verification of video transmission system.

  • A naval tactical video has utilized to implement network based remote C2 system, but it is difficult to transmit video intelligence data between tactical combat team and base-station due to the distance and sea condition. Threrfore, We first understand the naval tactical video transmission system and identify its limitations. Finally, we present an efficient method to increase transmission rate in the naval tactical video transmission system.

  • Variable wireless channel is a big challenge for real-time video applications, and the rate adaptation of realtime video streaming becomes a hot topic. Intra-video coding is important for high-quality video communication and industrial video applications. In this paper, we proposed a novel adaptive scheme for real-time video transmission with intra-only coding over a wireless network. The key idea of this scheme is to estimate the instantaneous remaining capacity of the network to adjust the quality of the next several video frames, which not only can keep low queuing delay and ensure video quality, but also can respond to bandwidth changes quickly. We compare our scheme with three different schemes in the video transmission system. The experimental results show that our scheme has higher bandwidth utilization and faster bandwidth change response, while maintaining low queuing delay.

  • Wireless transmission of uncompressed video guarantees higher quality with lower latency than compressed video transmission. Although current wireless technologies cannot fully cover required data rates of about a few Gb/s for full high definition resolution, some wireless technologies such as ultra-wideband (UWB) provide 1 Gb/s data rate which is adequate for uncompressed video transmission in portable devices. In this paper, we propose an uncompressed video transmission system for wireless mirroring services in portable devices. We firstly simulated the performance of uncompressed video transmission using single or multiple 1 Gb/s UWB technology. Then we implemented hardware-based uncompressed video processing block and Gb/s wireless MAC accelerator. Finally, we show the implementation result and the demonstration of uncompressed HD video transmission using multiple 1 Gb/s UWB PHYs.

  • In this study a smart HDMI switch is proposed to detect newly formed video stream and automatically change the transfer path to the corresponding port without pulling the HDMI plug and putting it again in the desired port manually and physically. Furthermore the proposed switch is designed in the advanced wireless video transmission scheme based on millimeter band technology. The proposed system shows its feasibility by the hardware experiment in the full-HD video transmission performance including the function of the smart port change.

  • In this paper, we design and analyze performance of Exclusive-OR based FEC (Forward error correction) system to deploy SVC video transmission service over packet-loss prone IP network. In the designed system, we adopt standard compliant Exclusive-OR based FEC scheme and apply it to be appropriate to the hierarchical layer structure of SVC video. To verify the performance of the designed Exclusive-OR based FEC system for SVC video transmission, we employ NIST-NET based transport simulator. By the SVC video transmission using the NIST-NET based simulator, we confirm the error resilient transmission performance of the designed Exclusive-OR based FEC system.

  • The recent development of information and communication technology has a great impact on the audio/video industry. In particular, IP-based AoIP transmission technology and AVB technology are making changes in the audio/video market. Video signal transmission technology has been introduced to the market through a network, but it has not replaced the video switcher function. Video signals in the conference room or classroom are still controlled by the switching device. In order to switch input/output video devices, a cable that is not limited by distance must be connected to the switcher. In addition, the control of the switching device must be performed by a person who has received professional training. In this paper, it is a technology that can be operated even by non-experts by replacing complex video cables (RGB, DVI, HDMI, DP) with LAN cables and enabling IP-based video switching and transmission (Video Mirroring over IP: VMoIP) to replace video switcher equipment. We are going to do this study, I/O videos were controlled in the form of matrix and high-definition videos were transmitted without distortion, and VMoIP is expected to become the standard for video switching systems in the future.
