구형무인비행체 개발 (Spherical Flying Machine Development)

  • 구형비행체는 기존의 항공기와 달리 비행체가 원형 프레임으로 보호되는 구조로 되어있다. 항우연에서 개발중인 본 비행체(Flying Ball)는 수직이착륙 및 정지비행이 가능한 배터리로 구동되는 프로펠러를 장착하고 있으며 실내외에서 운용이 가능하도록 개발이 진행중이다. 최종적으로는 자율비행이 가능토록 하여 정찰용이나 감시용으로 활용할 수 있도록 할 예정이다.

  • When the RC frame structures subjected to the seismic load, brittle shear failure of vertical members induces brittle collapse of whole structures. Failure mechanism like this is not desirable. So shear strengthening method to avoid this failure mechanism is needed. Recently, strengthening method using continuous fiber sheet is studied and used widely which have high elastic and high strength characteristics. In this study, RC columns which is strengthened by carbon fiber sheet in the form of tape or whole sheet were tested under the cyclic load. The parameter of this test is the amount of strengthening. As the amount of strengthening increase, strength, ductility and energy capacity increase. The failure mode of test results are shear and bond-split failure.

기계 도면의 자동 입력을 위한 치수 집합의 인식 및 분류 (Recognition and classification of dimension set for automatic input of mechanical drawings)

  • This paper presents a method that automatically recognizes dimension sets from the mechanical drawings, and that classifies 6 types dimension sets according to functional purpose. In the proposed method, the object and closed-loop symbols are separated from the character-free drawings. Then object lines and interpretation lines are vectorized. And, after recognizing dimension sets(consistings of arrowhead, shape line, tail lines, extension lines, text-string, and feature control frame), we classify recognized dimension sets as horizontal, vertical, angular, diametral, radial, and leader dimension sets. Finally the proposed method converts classified dimension sets into AutoCAD data by using AutoLisp language. By using the methods of geometric modeling, the proposed method readily recognized and classifies dimension sets from complex drawings. Experimetnal results are presented, which are obtained by applying the proposed method to drawings drawn in compliance with the KS drafting standard.

  • Vision-based systems for finding road lanes have to operate robustly under a wide variety of environ-mental conditions including large amount of scene clutters. This paper presents a method for finding the lane boundaries by combining a local line extraction method and dynamic programming as a search tool. The line extractor obtains an initial position estimation of road lane boundaries from the noisy edge fragments.   • The purpose of this paper is to contribute to the dialogue about the notion of advanced mathematical thinking by offering an alternative characterization for this idea, namely advancing mathematical activity. We use the term advancing (versus advanced) because we emphasize the progression and evolution of students' reasoning in relation to their previous activity. We also use the term activity, rather than thinking. This shift in language reflects our characterization of progression in mathematical thinking as acts of participation in a variety of different socially or culturally situated mathematical practices. We emphasize for these practices the changing nature of student' mathematical activity and frame the process of progression in terms of multiple layers of horizontal and vertical mathematizing.

  • This study deals with modeling and flight control of quadrotor type (QRT) unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Rigorous dynamic model of a QRT UAV is obtained both in reference and body frame coordinate systems. A disturbance observer (DOB) based controller using the derived dynamic models is also proposed for robust hovering control. The control input induced by DOB is helpful to use simple equations of motion satisfying accurate derived dynamics. The experimental results show the performance of the proposed control algorithm.

  • This paper describes 3D Dimensional Measurement(EDM testing) and tensile testing results of carbody structure for crashed EMU(Electric Multiple Units). Tensile tests were performed on two different types of specimens in order to evaluate the strength changes before and after damages, obtained from plastic deformed area and nondeformed region of the crashed EMU. And Structural analysis of EMU was performed for the criteria of safety assessment. Structural analysis using commercial I-DEAS software provided important information on the stress distribution and load transfer mechanisms as well as the amount of damages during rolling stock crash. The testing results have been used to provide the critical information for the criteria of safety diagnosis.

  • This paper introduces the improved moving frame acoustic holography (MFAH) method and its application. MFAH allows us to visualize the noise generated by moving noise sources by employing a vertical line array of microphones affixed to the ground. The sound field generated by moving sources is different from that of stationary ones due to the movement of the sources. Therefore the measured sound pressure by the microphone on the ground has to be processed so that it cooperates the effect of the movement. This paper discusses the effect of moving noise sources on the obtained hologram by MFAH. This assures the applicability of MFAH to the visualization of moving sources. This paper also reviews the improved MFAH that can visualize a coherent narrow band noise and a pass-by noise. The practical applicability of the improved MFAH was demonstrated by visualizing tire noise during a pass-by test.

  • This study develops a new hybrid passive energy dissipation device for seismic rehabilitation of an existing structure. The device is composed of a friction damper combined with a steel plate with vertical slits as a hysteretic damper. Analytical model is developed for the device, and the capacity of the hybrid device to satisfy a given target performance is determined based on the ASCE/SEI 7-10 process. The effect of the device is verified by nonlinear dynamic analyses using seven earthquake records. The analysis results show that the dissipated inelastic energy is concentrated on the hybrid damper and the maximum interstory drift of the SMRF with damping system satisfies the requirement of the current code.

  • In this study, nine reinforced concrete infilled frames involved bare frames were tested during vertical and cyclic loads simultaneously. This test programs were carried to investigate the horizontal strength and the crack propagation in variance with hoop reinforcement ratio. All specimens were modeling in one-third scale size. In this experimental program structural performance of reinforced concrete shear wall were focus at connection types. Based on the test results, the following conclusions are made. In the boundary column member of reinforced concrete shear wall, increasing the ratio of hoop bar in two or three times, in the fully babel type, the shear and horizontal strength of specimens were increased 1.1-1.2 times than that of fully rigid frame. And infilled shear wall specimen were increased 1.17-1.27 times than that. Fully rigid babel type shear wall specimens were increased 5.7~8.0 times, and infilled shear wall specimens were increased about 4.0~5.6 times than that of infilled shear wall specimens.
