초음파 속도를 이용한 암석의 일축압축강도 평가 (Evaluation of Rock Uniaxial Compressive Strength Using Ultrasonic Velocity)

  • 표준화된 일축압축강도시험에 의해 구한 암석의 일축압축강도를 간편법에 의해 평가할 수 있는 관계를 구하기 위하여 18개의 안동 흑운모화강암과 27개의 여수 부근의 화성암(섬록암, 화강암, 안산암, 유문암) 암석이 실험에 이용되었다. 각 시험 결과의 타당성은 변동계수를 구하여 평가하였다. 그 결과 일축압축강도와 점하중시험, 슈미트해머시험 및 초음파속도시험 값들 사이에 압축강도를 평가할 수 있는 관계식을 구하였다. 각각 다른 방법으로 구한 예측된 압축강도 관계식은 신뢰할 수 있는 범위에 있었으며, 초음파 속도시험은 암석의 일축압축강도를 추정에 신뢰성 있는 관계식을 제공하고 있다.

수리모형실험을 통한 합류부에서의 수리학적 특성분석 (The Analysis of Hydraulic Characteristics at Channel Junctions through Hydraulic Model Tests)

  • 본 연구에서는 지류와 본류의 합류부의 접근각도, 상류부 유량 및 본류와 지류의 유량비 변화에 따른 수리 모형실험을 통한 합류부의 수리학적 특성을 파악하였다. 합류부의 수리학적 특성은 합류점 부근의 유속과 관련된 최대유속의 크기 및 발생위치를 분석하였다. 합류점 부근의 최대유속은 접근각도가 증가함에 따라 점차 증가하며, 이는 유량 및 유량비가 증가하는 경우에도 동일한 경향을 나타낸다. 합류점 부근의 최대유속의 발생지점은 접근각도가 증가함에 따라 거리가 증대되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 유량이 증가하는 경우에도 거의 동일한 양상을 보여준다.

  • Creep damage is one of the mosl important characteristics for the stability of high temperature structures such as huge energy converting facilities. Creep failure of Type 316LN stainless steel is highly correlated to generation and growth of the voids. In this paper, in order to investigate the correlation of creep rupture time and ultrasonic parameters (group velocity, angular velocity), creep-damaged Type 316LN specimens and measurements for the ultrasonic parameters were made. However, bi-directional measurements were applied along the load direction and the perpendicular direction to the load line by means of the contact type probe of which the central frequencies are 10MHz, 15MHz and 20MHz. Analyzing the angular velocities of the ultrasonic signals obtained from the load direction, it was confirmed that the angular velocities were declined as the creep time passed when 15MHz and 20MHz probes were used. Also, the group velocities were declined for all three frequencies as the creep time increased. Thus, positive feasibility for the creep damage evaluation by means of the angular and group velocities was confirmed. Moreover, result of analysis for the ultrasonic signal which was obtained from the perpendicular direction upon the angular and group velocities indicated little variation for both of the angular and group velocities. Therefore, the creep damage is likely to represent anisotropic itself.

역진자형 자주로보트의 2차원 평면에서 궤도주행제어에 관한 연구 (Trajectory Tracking Control of the Wheeled Inverse Pendulum Type Self - Contained Mobile Robot in Two Dimensional Plane)

  • In this paper, we discuss on the control algorithm to make the wheeled inverse pendulum type mobile robot move in two dimensional plane. The robot considered in this paper has two independently driven wheels in same axel which suport and move it-self, and is assumed to have the fyro type sensor to know the inclination algle of the body and rotary encoders to know wheel's rotation angular velocity. The control algorithm is divided into three parts. The first part is for the posture and velocity control for forward-backward direction, the second is the steering control, and the last part is for the control of total system to track the given trajectory. We handle the running velocity control of the robot as part of the posture control to keep the balance because the posture relates deeply with the velocity and can be controlled by the velocities of the wheels. The control problem is analyzed as the tracking control, and the controller is realized with the state feedback and feed-forward of the reference velocity. Constructing the control system which contained one intergrator in forward path, we also realized the control system without observer for the estimation of the accumulated errors in the inclination angle of the body. To prevent the robot from being unstable state by sudden variation of the reference velocity when it starts and stops, or changes velocity, the reference velocity of which acceleration is slowly changing, is ordered to the robot. To control its steering, we give the different reference velocities for both wheels which are calculated from the desired angular velocity of the body. Finally, we presents the experimental results of the experimental robot Yamabico Kurara in which the proposed control algorithm had been implemented.

이방성 복합재료 판에서 램파 $S_0$ 모드의 군속도 결정 (The Determination of Group Velocity of Lamb Wave So Mode in Composite Plates with Anisotropy)

  • 이방성을 지닌 복합재료에서 측정한 군속도와 램파 방정식을 이용하여 계산한 군속도는 서로 일치하지 않는다. 이러한 차이는 이방성 재료에서 군속도 방향과 위상속도 방향이 서로 일치하지 않는 현상에서 기인된 것이다. 본 연구에서는 램파 분산방정식을 이용하여 이방성을 지닌 단일방향, 양방향, 준등방성 복합재료 판에서 $S_0$모드 위상속도곡선을 전파 방향 변화에 따라 구하고, 위상속도의 역수 값으로 구성되는 slowness surface를 이용하여 군속도의 방향과 크기를 결정하였다. 이와 같이 계산된 군속도는 측정한 군속도와 잘 일치함을 확인하였다.

  • 다중음향측심기에 의한 해저 지형조사는 해양 연구에 기본적인 자료를 제공한다. 지형조사를 위해 수층의 음속을 측정하는데 정확한 수심별 음속 측정은 지형조사 결과에 큰 영향을 미친다. 광역 지형조사 시 공간의 이동에 따라 수층별로 음속의 변화를 일으키는 요인이 발생할 수 있고, 측정 기기별(Sound Velocity Profiler, Conductivity-Temperature-Depth, eXpendable BathyThermograph) 특성에 의해 음속을 달리 측정할 가능성이 있다. 이 연구에서는 음속수직분포도(sound velocity profile)가 달라짐에 따라 발생하는 해저 지형의 변화를 MB-System을 이용하여 비교하였다. 분석 결과 표층의 음속 변화에 비해 수온약층의 음속변화가 획득지형자료에 더 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 각 기기별로 측정된 음속의 차이는 크지 않았고 해저 지형 결과에 큰 영향을 주지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 해저 지형조사를 위해 위 음속측정기기 중 어떠한 것을 사용하여도 무방하나 해저 지형조사 측선은 수층의 온도변화가 작은 방향으로 선정하는 것이 더 바람직하다.

온도 성층축열조 가시화 및 실증분석에 관한 고찰 (Effect on Stratification due to Diffuser Shape in a Thermal Storage Tank)

  • The stratified effect was investigated with three different types of diffuser shape in a thermal storage tank with variation of diffuser diameter, velocity, Froude number etc. Its effect was estimated by the degree of stratification. No matter of diffuser diameter and shape, the degree of stratification was the best as the Froude number gets closer to 1. In the case of a curved diffuser, when its diameter is a quarter of tank diameter and ejection velocity in a diffuser is approximately 0.2 m/s, the Froude number was almost 1. In the case of a flatted diffuser, when ejection velocity was 0.05 m/s, the Froude number was 1.5. Both cases which Froude number were nearer 1, showed the good degree of stratification.

  • In resin transfer molding (RTM), resin is forced to flow through the fiber perform of inhomogeneous permeability. This inhomogeneity is responsible for the mismatch of resin velocity within and between the fiber tows. The capillary pressure of the fiber tows exacerbates the spatial variation of the resin velocity. The resulting microscopic perturbations of resin velocity at the flow front allow numerous air voids to form. In this study, a mathematical model was developed to predict the formation and migration of micro-voids during resin transfer molding. A transport equation was employed to account for the migration of voids between fiber tows. Incorporating the proposed model into a resin flow simulator, the volumetric content of micro-voids in the preform could be obtained during the simulation of resin impregnation.

속도변환법을 이용한 운동방정식의 시스템자코비안 구성 (Construction of System Jacobian in the Equations of Motion Using Velocity Transformation Technique)

  • The Jacobian matrix of the equations of motion of a system using velocity transformation technique is derived via variation methods to apply the implicit integration algorithm, DASSL. The concept of generalized coordinate partitioning is used to parameterize the constraint set with independent generalized coordinates. DASSL is applied to determine independent generalized coordinates and velocities. Dependent generalized coordinates, velocities, accelerations and Lagrange multipliers are explicitly retained in the formulation to satisfy all of the governing kinematic and dynamic equations. The derived Jacobian matrix of a system is proved to be valid and accurate both analytically and through solution of numerical examples.

동심원 환내의 정상.비정상 회전 유동 (Steady and Unsteady Rotating Flows between Concentric Cylinders)

  • Steady and unsteady flows between rotating cylinders are of interest on lubrication, convective heat transfer and flow-induced vibration in large rotating machinery. Steady rotating flow is generated by rotating cylinder with constant velocity while the unsteady rotating flow by oscillating cylinder with homogeneoysly oscillating velocity. An analytical method is developed based on the simple radial coordinate transformation for the steady and unsteady rotating flows in concentric annulus. The governing equations are simplified from Navier-Stokes equatins. Considering the skin friction based on the radial variation of circumferential flow velocity, the torques acting on the fixed and the rotating cylinder are evaluated in terms of added-inertia and added-damping torque coefficients. The coefficients are found to be influenced by the oscillatory Reynolds number and the radius ratio of two cylinders; however, the effect of the oscillatory Reynolds number on the coefficients is minor in case of relatively low radius ratio.
