The Sin po fluorite deposit is of a fissure vein type which strikes $N75^{\circ}E$, dips $80^{\circ}SE$, and is embedded in the pre-Cambrian crystalline schist. The vein is 1 meter in average in thickness, about 800 meters in length and nearly 400 meters in depth. Narrow veins of crustified fluorites and agatic quartz are discontinuously embedded in the quartz gangue. Two-phase fluid inclusions, which are available for the homogenization method by using the Heating Stage Microscope 350, are found in the fluorite crystals. Most of the fluid inclusions are primary in origin and mainly composed of liquid phase associated with minor gas phase. They are tetrahedral, rounded-tubular, wedge shaped, rectangulartrapezoid, and irregular in shape. The maximum diameter of inclusions is 0.5mm and the minimum, 0.03mm, ranging from 0.2mm to 0.08mm in an average. The homogenization temperatures obtained from the test are $135-147^{\circ}C$, $125-138^{\circ}C$, $121-137^{\circ}C$, $116-133^{\circ}C$ and $106-128^{\circ}C$ in greenish, bluish, violet, light grayish blue, colorless and pinkish fluorites respectively. The range of formation temperatures of fluorites is $106-147^{\circ}C$. Therefore, the fluorite deposit of Sinpo Mine is considered to be of low temperature hydrothermal origin. The isothermal lines were drawn on the longitudinal section of the vein from the data of homogenization test. According to the results, the central and lower parts of the ore shoot in the west ore body show the higher temperatures of $130-138^{\circ}C$ and the peripheral and upper parts of it show the lower temperatures of $108-128^{\circ}C$. It seems that the isothermal trend roughly coinside with the pitch of the ore shoot.
The Inseong gold-silver mine is located 3Km northwest of Suanbo, Choongcheongbugdo, Republic of Korea. The mine occurs in the shear zone formed by tension fractures within the Hwanggangri Formation of the Ogcheon metamorphic belt. Ore minerals found in the gold-silver bearing hydrothermal quartz vein composed mainly of pyrite, arsenopyrite, sphalerite, galena and minor amount of chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite, stannite, bismuthininte, native bismuth, chalcocite, electrum and tellurian canfieldite(?). The gangue minerals are quartz, calcite, chlorite and rhodochrocite. Wallrock alterations such as chloritization, silicitication, pyritization, carbonitization and sericitization can be observed in or around the quartz vein. According to the paragenetic sequence, quartz vein structure and mineral assemnlages, three different stages of ore formation can be recognized. The physico-chemical environment of ore formation in this deposit shows slight variation from stage to stage, but the condition of main ore deposition can be summarized as follows. Fluid inclusion, S-istope geothermometry and geothermometry based on mineral chemistry by use of arsenopyrite and chlorite show the ore was formed at temperature between 399 and $210^{\circ}C$ from fluids with salinities of 3.3-5.8 wt.% equivalent NaCl. It indicates that pressure during the mineralization is less than 0.6 Kb corresponding to a depth not greater than 1Km. S-isotope data suggests that thermal fluid may have magmatic origin wit some degree of mixing with meteoric water. In coclusion, the Inseong gold-silver deposit was formed at shallow depth and relatively high-temperature possibly with steep geothermal gradient under xenothermal condition.
Mineralogical studies of ore and alteration minerals have been conducted for the Hugo Dummett porphyry copper deposit. The Hugo Dummett porphyry copper gold deposit is located in the South Gobi region, Mongolia and currently being explored. This deposit divided into the Cu-rich Hugo Dummett South and the Cu-Au-rich Hugo Dummett North deposits. The Hugo Dummett deposits contain 1.08% copper(1.16 billion tonnes in total) and 0.23 g/t gold(Oyunchimeg et al., 2006). Copper-gold mineralization at these deposit are centered on a high-grade copper(typically>2.5%) and gold(0.5-2 g/t) zone of intense quartz stockwork veining. The high grade copper and gold zone is mainly within the Late Devonian quartz monzodiorite intrusions and augite basalt, also locally occurs in dacitic rocks. Intense quartz veining forms a lens up to 100 m wide hosted by augite basalt and partly by quartz monzodiorite. Although many explorations have been carried out, only a few scientific works were done in the Oyu Tolgoi mining area. Therefore the nature of copper-gold mineralization and orgin of the deposit is not fully understood. Copper-gold mineralization in the Hugo Dummett deposits occurs in dominantly quartz monzodiorite and minor augite basalt, dacitic rocks and locally biotite granodiorite. Chalcopyrite, pyrite, bornite, molybdenite, tennantite, tetrahedrite, enargite, sphalerite, chalcocite, covellite, eugenite, galena and gold occur as main ore minerals in the Hugo Dummett North and South deposits. These sulfides occur as: (1) a vague vein-like trail 1-3cm long and 2-3 mm wide, (2) minute, discontinuous cracks within quartz(micron scales), and (3) irregular blebs/spots(micron scales)and (4) disseminated within the sericite and plagioclase, commonly concentrated in the quartz. Sulfide minerals commonly display as a replacement, intergrown and minor exsolution texture in the both of the Hugo Dummet deposits.

The Ogmae alunite-kaolinite deposit occurs in acidic tuff, the Hwangsan Tuff, of upper Crataceous age in the Haenam volcanic field, SW Jeonnam. This deposit characterized by advanced argillic alteration formed $71.8{\pm}2.8{\sim}73.9{\pm}2.8$ Ma ago in very shallow depth environment with acid-sulfate solution. Wallrock alteration can be classified into four zones from the center to the margin of the deposit: alunite, kaolinite, illite, and silicified zone. The mineral assemblage in the alunite zone, ore zone, is alunite-quartz-pyritekaolinite. Consideration of stability relation of these minerals suggests that the maximum alteration temperature is estimated at about $250^{\circ}C$ with solution pH of 3 or below assuming that pressure does not exceed 0.3 Kb. Alunite occurs as two different types; replacement and vein-type deposit. The former one consists of fine grained alunite and the later one coarse grained and relatively pure alunite that formed by open space filling. Isomorphous substitution of Na for K in these two types of alunites range 0 to 40 %, indicating that Na/K ratio in the solution is spontaneously changed during the alteration process. Alunite which has higher Na substitution probably formed in an earlier stage while the solution sustain high Na/K ratio. K-Ar age of alunites indicate that the replacement alunite formed earlier($73.9{\pm}2.8Ma$) than the vein-type alunite($71.8{\pm}2.8Ma$). The ${\delta}^{34}S$ value of pyrite and alunite indicate that those minerals formed at isotopically nonequillibrium state. The ${\delta}^{16}O$ and ${\delta}D$ values, of kaolintics 5.0 to 9.0‰ and -54 to -99‰, respectively, indicate that those are formed by hydrothermal solution having magmatic origin which have been diluted by low ${\delta}D$ meteoric water.
Scheelite deposits in Sangdong mine are divided into three parallel vein groups, namely "Hanging-wall vein" which is located in the lowest parts of Pungchon Limestone, "Main vein" the most productive vein replaced a intercalated limestone bed in Myobong slate, "Foot-wall veins" a group of several thin veins parallel to main vein in Myobong slate. Besides the above, there are many productive quartz veins imbedded in the above veins and Myobong slate. Molybdenite and wolframite are barren in the former three veins group but associates only in quartz veins. Both main vein and foot-wall veins show regular zonal distribution, quartz rich zone in the center, hornblende rich zone surrounding the quartz rich zone and diopside rich zone in the further outside to the marginal parts of the vein. According to the distribution of three main minerals, quartz, hornblende and diopside the main vein can be divided into three zones which are in turn grouped into 7 subzones by distinct mineral paragenesis. They are summerized as follows: A. Diopside rich zone: 1. garnet-diopside.fl.uorite subzone 2. diopside-zoisite-quartz subzone 3. diopside-plagioclase subzone B. Hornblende rich zone: 4. hornblende-diopside-quartz subzone 5. hornblende-quartz-chlorite subzone 6. hornblende-plagioclase-quartz.sphene subzone C. Quartz rich zone: 7. quartz-mica-chlorite subzone The foot-wall veins can similarly be divided by mineral paragenesis into 3 zones, 6 subzones as follows: A. diopside rich zone: 1. garnet-diopside-quartz.fl.uorite subzone 2. garnet-diopside-wollastonite subzone B. Hornblende rich zone: 3. quartz-hornblende-chlorite subzone 4. hornblende-plagioclase-quartz subzone 5. hornblende-diopside-quartz subzone C. Quartz rich zone: 6. quartz-mica subzone The hanging-wall vein is generally grouped into 9 subzones by the mineral paragenesis which show random distribution. They are as follows: 1. diopside-garnet-fluorite subzone 2. diopside-zoisite-quartz subzone 3. diopside-hornblende-quartz-fluorite subzone 4. wollastonite-garnet-diopside subzone 5. hornblende-chlorite-quartz subzone 6. quartz-plagioclase-hornblende-sphene subzone 7. quartz-biotite subzone 8. quartz-calcite subzone 9. calcite-altered minerals subzone Among many composing minerals, garnet specially shows characteristic distribution and optical properties. Anisotropic and euhedral grossularite is generally distributed in the hanging wall vein and lower parts of the main vein, whereas isotropic and anhedral andradite in the upper parts of the main vein. Plagioclase (anorthite) and sphene are distributed ony near the foot-wall side of the aboveveins. wollastonite is a characteristic mineral in upper parts of the hang-wall vein. Molybdenite is distributed in the upper parts of quartz veins and wolframite in lower parts of quartz veins.
Relation between fluid inclusions and mineralization has been studied for 30 granitoid specimens from 19 localities in South Korea. Polyphase inclusions are found in granitoid specimens of 9 localities. In the vicinities of 6 localities among them occurs any of W, Cu or Fe deposits of the vein-, stockwork-, skarn-or pegmatite-type. On the contrary, no ore deposit is reported near the granitoids characterized by no polyphase inclusion except only one locality. This fact implies that the occurrence of polyphase inclusions is a good indicator for such kinds of mineralization. Ores and country rocks of some of the deposits contain polyphase inclusions in their quartz crystals. The fact that many polyphase inclusions occur in granitoids and ore constituents suggests that highly saline hydrothermal solution played an important role for the formation of such kinds of deposits. On the contrary, the granite and the ore of the Mugug gold deposit have many fluid inclusions, but are free from the polyphase type.
A 3,480 g male neonate showed tachypnea symptom with a serum ionized calcium level of 0.66 mmol/L by routine clinical analysis. He was injected calcium gluconate intravenously through femoral vein catheter to treat the hypocalcemia. On second day after the injection, he started to show erythema in the flank area. The lesion became firm and changed into whitish crust consist of small crystals. Abdominal X-ray and ultrasonography showed the accumulation of calcium deposit in the subcutaneous layer of the lesion. Surgical debridement was performed to remove the crust with calcium deposit and acellular fish skin graft rich in omega-3 (Kerecis) was applied to the defect site for secondary intention of the defect wound. After 2 months, the skin and soft tissue defect were fully covered with healthy normal skin without depression or contracture. This report is a first case of iatrogenic calcinosis cutis without extravasation symptom.
Jinsan gold deposit is a hydrothermal vein type deposit consisting of several fissure filling quartz veins developed within the Changri Formation of the Ogcheon Supergroup in Geumsan, Chungnam. This study is to provide an efficient exploration and development strategies based on the characteristics of the geology, geological structure, core logging, and ore vein occurrence and grade for the four pits (New pit, Main pit, Yanghapan pit and Teugho pit). Quartz veins are mostly developed with the strike of $N10^{\circ}-25^{\circ}W$ and $N5^{\circ}-20^{\circ}E$, and the thickness is in the range of 0.1~0.5 m, sometimes extending to over 1m. Although the quartz veins commonly form massive shape, they sometimes show zonal structure, comb structure as well as brecciated texture. Major ore minerals are pyrite and chalcopyrite, and pyrrhotite, sphalerite, galena, marcasite, electrum and chalcocite are also accompanied as minor phases. Gray and milky white quartz veins, which are occasionally crosscut by calcite vein, also include fluorite. Ore evaluations for the 22 samples revealed that the samples from the pits generally have very low Au contents, lower than 1 g/t, but some clay samples of drilled core show very high Au concentrations, up to 141 g/t, indicating that Au content is much higher within fault gouges rather than within fresh quartz veins. This may represent that gold might have been reworked and reprecipitated by hydrothermal fluids in association with reactivation of the faults, and thus suggest that ore occurrence in this deposit is very complex and irregular and therefore more precise and systematic exploration is required.
The Hanae deposit is located within the Cretaceous Gyeongsang Basin. The Cu-bearing hydrothermal quartz vein formed by narrow open-space filling along fracture in the sedimentary rocks as Jindong Formation. The Hanae Cu-bearing hydrothermal deposit shows a paragenetic sequence of pyrrhotite-pyrite $\rightarrow$ pyrite-chalcopyrite-sphalerite(${\pm}$Bi-bearing tellurides) $\rightarrow$ Ag-bearing telluride mineralization $\rightarrow$ secondary mineralization. Fluid inclusion data indicate that the Hanae Cu-bearing hydrothermal mineralization occurred from dominantly aqueous fluids at temperatures of $400^{\circ}C-200^{\circ}C$. Equilibrium thermodynamic interpretation of the mineral paragenesis and assemblages combined with fluid inclusion data indicate that early main Cu-bearing ore mineralization in the vein starts at about $350^{\circ}C$ which corresponds to sulfur fugacity from about $10^{-9.2}$ to $10^{-8.7}bar$ with oxygen fugacity of about $10^{-32.1}$ to $10^{-29.8}bar$. Late main Cu-bearing ore mineralization in the vein occurs at about $250^{\circ}C$ which corresponds to sulfur fugacity from about $10^{-13.5}$ to $10^{-11.7}bar$ with oxygen fugacity of about $10^{-38.4}$ to $10^{-35.2}bar$. The late Ag-bearing telluride mineralization in the Hanae hydrothermal system occurs at about $200^{\circ}C$ which corresponds to minium Tellirium fugacity value of about $10^{-18}bar$ with sulfur fugacity of about $10^{-14.0}$ to $10^{-10.9}bar$.
This report is written for presenting a principal theme of study about. the origin of Sangdong ore deposit in details, being an aid to find new ore bodies, on the basis of mineralogical charactor and geological feature. Main vein in Sandgong mine has characteristic zonal distribution and localization of minerals. 3 kinds of minerals, that are quartz, hornblende, diopside, form systematically their each rich zones. Other minerals like plagioclase, native bismuth, sphene, molybdenite and wolframite are developed locally. According to the zonal distribution and localization of the minerals, the authors presume that mineralizing agents which changed interbedded limestones into ore bodies act and come up from non-exposed igneous body in the direction perpendicular to the platy main vein. That non-exposed igneous body, presumed, might be extended from the exposed igneous bodies in the southern part of Sangdong mine.
