퍼지 논리와 Interacting Multiple Model (IMM)을 통한 잡음환경에서의 맞은편 차량의 중앙선 침범 예측 (Prediction of Centerlane Violation for vehicle in opposite direction using Fuzzy Logic and Interacting Multiple Model)

  • 지능형 차량의 안전 주행을 위해서 주변 차량의 상태를 파악하고, 충돌 위험도를 판단하는 일은 매우 중요하다. 특히 중앙선을 침범하여 주행하는 차량과의 충돌은 치명적일 수 있다. 맞은편에서 다가오는 차량의 중앙선 침범을 지능형 차량의 주요 센서 가운데 하나인 레이더 센서만을 이용하여 예측하면 센서의 특성상 발생하는 노이즈로 인해 오인식의 가능성이 높다. 오인식은 중앙선 침범보다 더 위험한 결과를 초래하기도 한다. 본 논문에서는 레이더 신호에 IMM을 사용한 추적 알고리즘과 퍼지 논리를 적용하여 중앙선 침범 예측의 정확도를 높이고 오인식을 감소시킬 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 퍼지 로직은 레이더 신호와 IMM알고리즘의 결합을 적절히 조절하는 기능을 한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 컴퓨터 모의 실험을 통해 오인식의 감소가 효과적으로 이루어짐이 검증되었다.

  • The VDS(Vehicle Detection System) collects and transfers information about traffic situations in real time, therefore it makes the traffic management effective. Recently, the VDSs have provided good stability and accuracy in regard to system reliability and functions but they also have showed problems such as raising costs and consuming times when a new system is installed and/or the environmental requirements for the system are set up. The reason of the problems is that up to now the collection of the data and information about the traffic situations has been achieved by the 1:1 information exchange between the traffic control surveillance center and the each traffic field, between equipments and centers, and among data processing equipments and also centers. The communication systems used in the VDS are generally composed of 1 : 1 connection of the lines because the communication protocols are different in the most of the cases mentioned above. Consequently, this makes the number of communication lines become larger and causes the cost for the whole traffic information systems to increase. In this paper, a development of a controller to unify the communication protocols for the VDS is peformed to solve the problems which were mentioned above. Specially, the controller developed in this paper was applied to a radar vehicle detector and tested to show its usefulness. In addition to that, the developed controller was also designed to include functions to transfer the information about weather conditions on the roads.

지상기동 장비용 미사일 경고 레이더의 성능 평가 (The Performance Evaluation of Missile Warning Radar for GVES)

  • 지상기동 장비에 장착되는 미사일 경고 레이더는 탐지된 표적에 의한 위협을 효과적으로 판단해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 위협 판단 기법인 선형 근사 알고리즘과 가중 선형 근사 알고리즘에 대해 확률 모델을 적용한 시뮬레이션을 통해 성능을 평가하였다. 또한 실제 측정을 통해 위협 판단 알고리즘의 타당성을 확인하였다.

  • Nowadays, Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle(UCAV) has become an important aircraft system for the national defense. For its efficiency and survivability, shape optimization of UCAV is an essential part of its design process. In this paper, shape optimization of UCAV was processed for aerodynamic performance improvement and Radar Cross Section(RCS) reduction using Multi Objective Genetic Algorithm(MOGA). Lift and induced drag, friction drag, RCS were calculated using panel method, boundary layer theory, Physical Optics(PO) approximation respectively. In particular, calculation applied Radar Absorbing Material(RAM) was performed for the additional RCS reduction. Results are indicated that shape optimization is performed well for improving aerodynamic performance, reducing RCS. Further study will be performed with higher fidelity tools and consider other design segments including structure.

  • 대기의 기상 상태는 시, 공간적으로 매우 불규칙적으로 변화하여 경우에 따라서 위성 발사체에 치명적인 영향을 미치고 있다. 따라서 위성 발사체의 순조로운 발사를 위하여 기상 상태의 정확한 실시간 관측이 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 기상관측 시스템인 기상레이더의 일반적인 제원을 소개하며, 우주센터용으로 적합한 기상 레이더 시스템의 운용개념 및 요구특성을 송신출력, 안테나 이득, 빔 폭 및 최적 감지신호 등을 종합적으로 고려하여 분석하였다.

Obstacle Awareness and Collision Avoidance Radar Sensor System for Smart UAV

  • In this paper, the critical requirement for obstacle awareness and avoidance is assessed with the compliance of the equivalent level of safety regulation, and then the collision avoidance sensor system is presented with the key design parameters for the requirement of the smart unmanned aerial vehicle in low-altitude flight. Based on the assessment of various sensors, small-sized radar sensor is selected for the suitable candidate due to the real-time range and range-rate acquisition capability of the stationary and moving aircraft even under all-weather environments. Through the performance analysis for the system requirement, the conceptual design result of radar sensor model is proposed with the range detection probability and collision avoidance mode is established based on the time-to-collision, which is analyzed by collision scenario.

  • In this paper, the design concept of the transport of defense equipment and processes were established. And the transport of large radar equipment design were investigated. Detailed design of moving equipment with reference to the U.S. military standard was performed.Damping system of the moving equipment by using a simulation designed to predict In order to minimize shock and vibration in the vehicle due to the irregular road surface is transmitted through. Analysis of the damping system was verified using the driving test.

  • A vehicle cruise control algorithm using an Interacting Multiple Model (IMM)-based Multi-Target Tracking (MTT) method has been presented in this paper. The vehicle cruise control algorithm consists of three parts; track estimator using IMM-Probabilistic Data Association Filter (PDAF), a primary target vehicle determination algorithm and a single-target adaptive cruise control algorithm. Three motion models; uniform motion, lane-change motion and acceleration motion, have been adopted to distinguish large lateral motions from longitudinal motions. The models have been validated using simulated and experimental data. The improvement in the state estimation performance when using three models is verified in target tracking simulations. The performance and safety benefits of a multi-model-based MTT-ACC system is investigated via simulations using real driving radar sensor data. These simulations show system response that is more realistic and reflective of actual human driving behavior.

  • Collision warning systems have been an active research and development area as the interests and demands for ASV's (Advanced Safety Vehicles) have increased. This paper presents an experimental investigation of a collision warning system for automobiles. A collision warning HiLS(Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation) system has been designed and used to test the collision warning algorithm, radar sensors, and warning displays under realistic operating conditions in the laboratory. the collision warning algorithm is operated by a warning index, which is a function of the warning distance and the braking distance. The computer calculates velocities of the preceding vehicle and following vehicle, relative distance and relative velocity of the vehicles using vehicle simulation models. The relative distance and the relative velocity are applied to the vehicle simulator controlled by a DC motor.

단안 카메라를 이용한 LKAS 시험평가 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Test Evaluation Method of LKAS Using a Monocular Camera)

  • ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) uses sensors such as camera, radar, lidar and GPS (Global Positioning System). Among these sensors, the camera has many advantages compared with other sensors. The reason is that it is cheap, easy to use and can identify objects. In this paper, therefore, a theoretical formula was proposed to obtain the distance from the vehicle's front wheel to the lane using a monocular camera. And the validity of the theoretical formula was verified through the actual vehicle test. The results of the actual vehicle test in scenario 4 resulted in a maximum error of 0.21 m. The reason is that it is difficult to detect the lane in the curved road, and it is judged that errors occurred due to the occurrence of significant yaw rates. The maximum error occurred in curve road condition, but the error decreased after lane return. Therefore, the proposed theoretical formula makes it possible to assess the safety of the LKA system.
