Optical Flow 기반 CCTV 영상에서의 차량 통행량 및 통행 속도 추정에 관한 연구 (Optical Flow Based Vehicle Counting and Speed Estimation in CCTV Videos)

  • 본 논문에서는 교통관제용 CCTV로부터 촬영된 영상에서 교통 상황 분석을 위해 차량의 통행량 및 통행 속도를 획득하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 촬영된 영상에 역 투영 사상(IPM, Inverse Perspective Mapping) 방법을 이용하여 카메라 각도에 따른 시각적 관점에서 기인한 왜곡을 제거하고, 차선 검출 알고리즘을 통해 1) 차량 통행량, 2) 차량 통행 속도를 측정할 소정 영역을 획득한다. 소정 영역에 대하여 광류(Optical flow) 기반 모션 추정을 이용하여 차량 통행량 및 통행 속도를 획득한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법을 지역별 다양한 CCTV 영상인 총 106,993 프레임, 약 세 시간 길이의 영상에 적용하여 88.94%의 검출 성능을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • 최근 급격한 도시화 및 인구 집중으로 다양한 교통 문제가 빈번히 발생하고 있다. 따라서, 이를 효과적으로 해결하기 위한 교통 흐름 분석 관련 연구들이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 교통 흐름 정보는 도시 교통 관리의 핵심 요소로 차량 통행량 분석을 통해 수집된다. 본 논문에서는 도로 CCTV 영상에서 교통 흐름 정보를 정밀하게 추정하기 위해 차로 중앙 지점을 기반으로 한 고정밀 차량 통행량 측정 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 심층 신경망(Deep Neural Network) 기반 객체 검출 방법을 이용하여 차량을 검출한 후, 누적 이동량을 바탕으로 각 차로의 중앙 지점을 검출한다. 또한, 객체 추적 기술을 통해 동일 차량의 궤적을 추정하여 검출된 각 차로 중앙 지점과의 거리를 비교함으로써 정밀하게 차량 통행량을 측정한다. 다양한 실험 결과들을 통해 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법이 차량 통행량 측정에 효과적임을 보인다.

Anisotropic Magnetoresistive 센서를 이용한 차량 검지기의 성능분석 (Performance Analysis of an Anisotropic Magnetoresistive Sensor-Based Vehicle Detector)

  • This paper proposes a vehicle detector with an anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) sensor and addresses experimental results to show the detector's performance. The detector consists of an AMR sensor and mechanical and electronic apparatuses. The AMR sensor, composed of four magnetoresistors, senses disturbance of the earth's magnetic field caused by a vehicle moving over the sensor and then produces an output indicative of the moving vehicle. This paper verifies performance of the detector on the basis of experimental results obtained from the field tests carried under the two traffic conditions on local highways in Korea. First, I show the vehicle counting performance on a low speed congested highway by comparing the vehicle counts measured by the detector with the exact counts. Second, both vehicle counts and average speeds calculated from the measured point-occupancy on another continuously free running highway are compared with the reference values obtained from a loop detector which has two independent loop coils, where I have used several performance indices including mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) to show the performance consistency between the two types of detectors.

  • 비디오 카메라에서 입력된 동영상을 분석하여 교차로에서 교통량을 자동적으로 측정하는 시스템을 설계, 구현하였다. 입력 영상에서 배경과 전경을 분리하기 위하여 3가지 방법을 비교 분석하였으며 이중에서 좋은 결과를 보여주는 Li의 방법을 선택하였다. 전경 영상에서 연결 성분 분석을 이용하여 각각의 블로브들을 분리하였으며 분리된 블로브들은 블로브 추적기를 이용하여 프레임 별로 추적된다. 가장 기본적인 추적기는 블로브의 크기와 위치 정보들을 이용한다. 블로브들 간에 충돌이 있는 경우에는 블로브 안의 컬러 분포를 이용하는 mean shift 알고리즘이 사용되었다. 제안된 시스템은 실제 교차로 동영상을 이용하여 테스트되었으며 휴리스틱을 추가할 경우, 좋은 감지율과 오차율을 보였다.

  • When driving at night time environment, the whole body of transports does not visible to us. Due to lack of light conditions, there are only two options, which is clearly visible their taillights and break lights. To improve the recognition correctness of vehicle detection, we present an approach to vehicle detection and tracking using finding contour of the object on binary image at night time. Bilateral filtering is used to make more clearly on threshold part. To remove unexpected small noises used morphological opening. In verification stage, paired tail lights are tracked during their existence in the ROI. The accuracy of the test results for vehicle detection is about 93%.

Fatigue life prediction of horizontally curved thin walled box girder steel bridges

  • The fatigue damage accumulation rates of horizontally curved thin walled box-girder bridge have been estimated from vehicle-induced dynamic stress history using rain flow cycle counting method in the time domain approach. The curved box-girder bridge has been numerically modeled using computationally efficient thin walled box-beam finite elements, which take into account the important structural actions like torsional warping, distortion and distortional warping in addition to the conventional displacement and rotational degrees of freedom. Vehicle model includes heave-pitch-roll degrees of freedom with longitudinal and transverse input to the wheels. The bridge deck unevenness, which is taken as inputs to the vehicle wheels, has been assumed to be a realization of homogeneous random process specified by a power spectral density (PSD) function. The linear damage accumulation theory has been applied to calculate fatigue life. The fatigue life estimated by cycle counting method in time domain has been compared with those found by estimating the PSD of response in frequency domain. The frequency domain method uses an analytical expression involving spectral moment characteristics of stress process. The effects of some of the important parameters on fatigue life of the curved box bridge have been studied.

Design of an Absolute Location and Position Measuring System for a Mobile Robot

  • This paper focuses on a development of a sensor system measuring locations of a vehicle to localize a mobile robot while it tracks on the track (location sensor) . Also it focuses on a system configuration identifying the vehicle's orientation and distance from the object while it is stationary at certain station (position sensor) . As for the location sensor it consists of a set of sensors with a combined guiding and counting sensor, and an address-coded sensor to localize the vehicle while moving on the rail. For the position sensor a PSD (Position Sensitive Device) sensor with photo-switches sensor to measure the offset and orientation of the vehicle at each station is introduced. Both sensor systems are integrated with a microprocessor as a data relay to the main computer controlling the vehicle. The location sensor system is developed and its performance for a mobile robot is verified by experiments. The position measuring system is proposed and is robust to the environmental variation. Moreover, the two kinds of sensor systems guarantee a low cost application and high reliability.

  • Particulate matters (PM) that is generated by most diesel engine is regulated by the mass concentration measured by the conventional method it had been. Recently, Europe PMP (Particle Measurement Program) decided to start the regulation of vehicle's nano-sized particle number (PN) from the year of 2011 because of nano-particle's higher degree of harm to the human body. So firstly, the standard level of PN emission is introduced in the Euro 5/6 emissions regulation with a limit of $6{\times}10^{11}$ per km for light duty vehicle. Also KPMP(Korea Particle Measurement Program) was organized to copy quickly international technical trend. In this paper, it was investigated the nano-sized PN measurement characteristics for different particle generators between spray type and soot type. And the difference ratio between particle generators, the characteristic of PN concentration, counting efficiency and linearity was analyzed. Then, we make conclusions as followed. When particle diameter is increased, counting efficiency of two generators is decreased. Also Secondary calibration method is more higher 3% than Primary calibration method. Finally, SOF which is included in soot particles is not totally removed so it have great influence on test result of counting efficiency and linearity.

운전하중하의 레인플로집계법을 이용한 철도차량 무개화차의 피로누적손상과 수명예측 (Fatigue Cumulative Damage and Life Prediction of Uncovered Freight Car Under Service Load using Rainflow Counting Method)

  • An end beam is one of the most important structural members supporting uncovered freight under in-service loading. In general, it needs to endure over 25 years. However fatigue fracture has occurred at dynamic stress concentration location of the end beam because user's specifications demanded high speed and vehicle manufacturer made the uncovered freight car with comparatively low strength and stiffness. For durability analysis, finite element analysis is performed to evaluate the problem of uncovered freight structure and local strain. The uncovered freight car was operated on actual problematic railroad line to measure dynamic stress versus time history on the critical part from which a crack is initiated often. Rainflow cycle counting method was used to estimate fatigue damage at dangerous area under operating condition. Therefore, this study shows that analytical fatigue life at the end beam can be predicted on the basis of S-N curve and structure analysis and has a fairly good correlation with experimental fatigue life.

VANET에서 카운팅 블룸 필터를 사용한 효율적인 그룹 키 관리 기법 (An Efficient Group Key Management Scheme using Counting Bloom Filter in VANET)

  • VANET(Vehicular Ad-hoc Network)은 원활한 교통 소통, 사고 방지 등 여러 가지 편리한 기능들을 제공하지만 그 기반을 애드혹 네트워크에 두고 있기 때문에 애드혹 망에서 발생하는 보안 문제를 가지고 있다. VANET에서 사용자의 프라이버시를 보호하기 위해 그룹 서명방식 등이 연구되어졌다. 그러나 그룹 간에 그룹 키 생성 단계 및 그룹 키 갱신단계에서 RSU(Road-Side Unit) 및 차량의 계산상 오버헤드가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 효율적인 그룹 키 관리 기술을 제안한다. 즉, 그룹 키 생성 및 갱신 단계에서 CBF(Counting Bloom Filter)를 사용하므로 RSU 및 차량의 계산상 오버헤드를 감소시킨다. 또한, RSU와 차량에서 그룹 키를 자체적으로 갱신하여 관리하는 기법이다.
