EVALUATION FORMULAS FOR AN ANALOGUE OF CONDITIONAL ANALYTIC FEYNMAN INTEGRALS OVER A FUNCTION SPACE

  • Let $C^r$[0,t] be the function space of the vector-valued continuous paths x : [0,t] ${\rightarrow}$ $R^r$ and define $X_t$ : $C^r$[0,t] ${\rightarrow}$ $R^{(n+1)r}$ and $Y_t$ : $C^r$[0,t] ${\rightarrow}$ $R^{nr}$ by $X_t(x)$ = (x($t_0$), x($t_1$), ..., x($t_{n-1}$), x($t_n$)) and $Y_t$(x) = (x($t_0$), x($t_1$), ..., x($t_{n-1}$)), respectively, where 0 = $t_0$ < $t_1$ < ... < $t_n$ = t. In the present paper, with the conditioning functions $X_t$ and $Y_t$, we introduce two simple formulas for the conditional expectations over $C^r$[0,t], an analogue of the r-dimensional Wiener space. We establish evaluation formulas for the analogues of the analytic Wiener and Feynman integrals for the function $G(x)=\exp{{\int}_0^t{\theta}(s,x(s))d{\eta}(s)}{\psi}(x(t))$, where ${\theta}(s,{\cdot})$ and are the Fourier-Stieltjes transforms of the complex Borel measures on ${\mathbb{R}}^r$. Using the simple formulas, we evaluate the analogues of the conditional analytic Wiener and Feynman integrals of the functional G.

GPU-based Stereo Matching Algorithm with the Strategy of Population-based Incremental Learning

  • To solve the general problems surrounding the application of genetic algorithms in stereo matching, two measures are proposed. Firstly, the strategy of simplified population-based incremental learning (PBIL) is adopted to reduce the problems with memory consumption and search inefficiency, and a scheme for controlling the distance of neighbors for disparity smoothness is inserted to obtain a wide-area consistency of disparities. In addition, an alternative version of the proposed algorithm, without the use of a probability vector, is also presented for simpler set-ups. Secondly, programmable graphics-hardware (GPU) consists of multiple multi-processors and has a powerful parallelism which can perform operations in parallel at low cost. Therefore, in order to decrease the running time further, a model of the proposed algorithm, which can be run on programmable graphics-hardware (GPU), is presented for the first time. The algorithms are implemented on the CPU as well as on the GPU and are evaluated by experiments. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm offers better performance than traditional BMA methods with a deliberate relaxation and its modified version in terms of both running speed and stability. The comparison of computation times for the algorithm both on the GPU and the CPU shows that the former has more speed-up than the latter, the bigger the image size is.

In the present paper, using two simple formulas for the conditional expectations over $C^r[0,t]$ with the conditioning functions $X_t$ and $Y_t$, we establish evaluation formulas for the analogue of the conditional analytic Fourier-Feynman transform for the function of the form $${\exp}\{{\int_o}^t{\theta}(s,\;x(s))\;d{\eta}(s)\}{\psi}(x(t)),\;x{\in}C^r[0,t]$$ where ${\eta}$ is a complex Borel measure on [0, t] and both ${\theta}(s,{\cdot})$ and ${\psi}$ are the Fourier-Stieltjes transforms of the complex Borel measures on $\mathbb{R}^r$.

LPC Cepstral 벡터 양자화에 의한 저 전송율 CELP 음성부호기의 스펙트럼 표기 (Spectrum Representation Based on LPC Cepstral VQ for Low Bit Rate CELP Coder)

  • 본 논문에서는, 매우 낮은 전송율이 요구되는 음성통신의 환경하에서 CELP 음성 부호기를 사용할 경우, 스펙트럼에 대한 정보를 어떻게 효과적으로 나타낼 것인가에 대하여 고찰하였다. 구체적으로, 스펙트럼에 대한 정보를 나타내는 LPC 파라메타를 cepstrum으로 변형시키고, 변형된 LPC cepstrum계수들을 효과적으로 벡터 양자화하는 방법을 제시하였다. 벡터 양자화에 사용되는 코드-북의 설계를 위하여, 주파수 대역에서 서로 다른 의미를 갖는 세계의 cepstral distance measure들을 시도하였으며, 각각에 대한 성능이 분석되어졌다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여, 본 논문에서 제시한 LPC cepstral 벡터 양자화 방식이 스펙트럼에 대한 정보를 매우 효과적으로 나타낼 수 있음을 보였다.

한국어 문장 표절 유형을 고려한 유사 문장 판별 (A Detection Method of Similar Sentences Considering Plagiarism Patterns of Korean Sentence)

  • 본 논문은 한국어 표절 검사를 위해서 표절의 유형을 분석하여, 유형별 분석 결과를 기반으로하여 유사 문장 판별 모델을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 한국어 문장에 대한 표절 유형 분석 결과를 토대로 LSA와 N-gram을 이용한 유사 문장 검색을 통하여 여러 유형의 표절로부터 견고한 유사 문장 판별 모델을 구현하였다. 제안한 모델의 성능 분석을 위해서 학생들이 인위적으로 작성한 표절 리포트와 표절한 첨부 문서로 실험 데이터를 구축하였다. 성능 비교를 위해서는 기존의 N-gram 모델, 벡터모델, LSA 모델이 사용되었으며, 실험 결과 제안한 모델이 정확률, 재현율, 그리고 F값 척도에서 우수한 성능을 보임을 알 수 있었다.

2차원 영상 정보를 이용한 3차원 위치 측정 알고리즘 개발 (Development of a 3-D Position Measurement Algorithm using 2-D Image Information)

  • There are several problems in the conventional 2-D image processing and 3-D measurement systems. In the case of the 2-D image processing system, it is not possible to detect elevation data. In a 3-D measurement system, it requires a skillful operator and a lot of time for measuring data. Also, there exist data errors depending on operators. The limitation of detecting elevation data in the 2-D image processing system can be solved by laser diodes. In this study an algorithm that measures the accurate data in a subject face to be detected by combining laser diodes and a commercial CCD camera is developed. In the development process, a planar equation is developed using laser diodes and the equation is used to obtain a normal vector. Based on the results, an algorithm that transforms commercial CCD camera coordinates to 3-D coordinates is proposed. The completed measurement method will be applied to replace a manual measurement system for vehicle bodies and parts by an automated system.

Cancer Prediction Based on Radical Basis Function Neural Network with Particle Swarm Optimization

  • This paper addresses cancer prediction based on radial basis function neural network optimized by particle swarm optimization. Today, cancer hazard to people is increasing, and it is often difficult to cure cancer. The occurrence of cancer can be predicted by the method of the computer so that people can take timely and effective measures to prevent the occurrence of cancer. In this paper, the occurrence of cancer is predicted by the means of Radial Basis Function Neural Network Optimized by Particle Swarm Optimization. The neural network parameters to be optimized include the weight vector between network hidden layer and output layer, and the threshold of output layer neurons. The experimental data were obtained from the Wisconsin breast cancer database. A total of 12 experiments were done by setting 12 different sets of experimental result reliability. The findings show that the method can improve the accuracy, reliability and stability of cancer prediction greatly and effectively.

A Study on the Determinants of Bilateral Trade : Evidence from China and US

  • Purpose - Recently, the trade war between China and US has been escalating, which has also attracted worldwide attention. Based on this background, this paper sets China and US as an example to explore the determinants of bilateral trade between China and US. Research design, date, and methodology - A quarterly data from the 2000-Q1 to the 2017-Q4 will be used to perform an empirical analysis under some econometric approaches such as the fully modified least squares and the vector error correction estimates. Result - The results illustrate that the two economic entities of China and US have the greatest positive effect on bilateral trade between China and US. The real exchange rate has a positive effect on bilateral trade between China and US. The nominal exchange rate has a negative effect on bilateral trade between China and US in the short run. US's average price has a positive effect on bilateral trade between China and US in the short run. China's average price has a negative effect on bilateral trade between China and US in the short run. Meanwhile, the bilateral trade between China and US also suffers from the economic crisis happened in 2008. Even through the bilateral trade between China and US in the short run is deviate from the long-run equilibrium, there exist an error correction mechanism back to the long-run equilibrium. Conclusion - This paper provides some empirical evidences for both governments. Based on the results of this paper, both governments should take corresponding measures to promote the development of bilateral trade between China and US.

Re-emerging Plasmodium vivax malaria in the Republic of Korea

  • Plasmodium vivax malaria, which was highly prevalent in the Republic of Korea, disappeared rapidly since 1970s. However, malaria re-emerged with the first occurrence of a patient in 1993 near the demilitarizd zone (DMZ), the border between South Korea and North Korea. Thereafter, the number of cases increased exponentially year after year, totaling 6,142 cases (6,249 if United States Army personnels were included) by the end of 1998. Interestingly enough, the majority of cases (3,743; 61%) was soldiers aged 20-25, camping around the northern parts of Kyonggi-do or Gangwon-do (Province) just facing the DMZ. Among 2.399 civilian cases, 1,144(47.%) were those who Provinces. The re-emerging malaria characteristically revealed a combination type of short and long incubation periods with predominance of the long type. The course of illness was relatively mild, and the treatment was successful in most patients. Vector mosquitoes are Anopheles sinensis and possibly A. yatsushiroensis. Wide-scale preventive and control measures should be operated to eradicate this re-emerging disease. It has been suggested by many authors that the initial source of the re-emerging malaria was infected mosquitoes which had flown from the northern part of the DMZ.

Estimation of rice growth parameters by X-band radar backscattering data

  • Microwave remote sensing has great potential, especially in monsoon Asia, since optical observations are often hampered by cloudy conditions. The radar backscattering characteristics of rice crop were investigated with a ground-based automatic scatterometer system. The system was installed inside a shelter in an experimental paddy field at the National Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology (NIAST) before transplanting. The rice cultivar was a kind of Japonica type, called Chuchung. The scatterometer system consists of X-band antennas, HP8720D vector network analyzer, RF cables, and a personal computer that controls frequency, polarization and data storage. This system automatically measures fully-polarimatric backscattering coefficients of rice crop every 10 minutes, accompanied by a digital camera that takes pictures in a fixed position with the same interval. The backscattering coefficients were calculated by applying a radar equation. Plant variables, such as leaf area index (LAI), biomass, plant height and weather conditions were measured periodically throughout the rice growth season. We have performed polarimetric decomposition of paddy data such as single, double and volume scattering to extract the scattering information effectively. We investigated the relationships between backscattering coefficients and the plant variables.
