To cope with the rapid changes in the corporate environment, the creation of innovative output through various forms of collaboration have been discussed. For open collaborations, contributors who distribute to various countries and cultures are able to share knowledge via the internet without physical rewards or responsibilities. In this study, we focused on the open source software project, which is a representative open collaboration. We investigated the factors that affect the knowledge contribution of developers of various countries within the open collaboration platform. Specifically, we investigated the open collaborative nature of multi-culture developers by dividing cultures according to collectivism and individualism. We collected data on 26,604 developers using a python based web crawler for GitHub which is an open source software development platform, and conducted cross-cultural study. This paper contributes to the field of knowledge management by suggesting various impacts of antecedents such as hireability, and information exposure on knowledge sharing according to culture.

The oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) has been reported to originate along the gulf of the guinea in West Africa. The various parts of the tree have been used locally and traditionally for various medicinal purposes. Some of these uses have been proved by scientific experiments. Palm oil is extracted from the mesocarp of the fruit and is used traditionally for the treatment of headaches, pains, rheumatism, cardiovascular diseases, arterial thrombosis and an atherosclerosis due to its rich phytonutrients. The leaves are also used for the treatment of cancer, cardiovascular diseases, kidney diseases and wound healing. The sap also has been found to be rich in phytonutrients that can be used to treat various diseases. This review therefore seeks to explore many of the uses of the oil palm using the various parts of the oil palm.

The effect of various vehicles on the permeation of a model drug, ketoprofen in solution formulation was evaluated using a flow-through diffusion cell system at $37^{\circ}C$. To investigate the mechanism of permeation rate enhancement, the effects of pretreatment with various vehicles on the permeation of the drug were evaluated using 5 mg/ml solution and saturated solution. The order of permeation rate of ketoprofen across hairless mouse skin after pretreatment with various vehicles was similar to the case where the vehicles and the drug were coadministered except ethanol and oleic acid. The results indicate that the mechanism of enhancement can be direct action of the vehicles on the barrier property of the skin and/or carrier mechanism.

In this paper, we propose a detection method for facial features in color images with various backgrounds and face poses. To begin with, the proposed method extracts face candidacy region from images with various backgrounds, which have skin-tone color and complex objects, via the color and edge information of face. And then, by using the elliptical shape property of face, we correct a rotation, scale, and tilt of face region caused by various poses of head. Finally, we verify the face using features of face and detect facial features. In our experimental results, it is shown that accuracy of detection is high and the proposed method can be used in pose-invariant face recognition system effectively

Effects of additing various types of ceramic fillers to the BZB-based glass on the thermo-chemical stability, optical reflectance, and mechanical properties were investigated. The glass system demonstrated the feasibility to host various types of ceramic fillers to form micro-composites at the processing temperature suitable for PDP systems. The optical reflectance and mechanical strength of the filler-glass composites were improved as compared to the glass itself. These results demonstrate the feasibility of applying the Pb-free BZB-based glass system as a matrix for employing various types of crystalline ceramic fillers to be used as barrier rib materials in plasma display panels.

We have developed a part of hydraulic stroke sensing cylinder using magnetic sensor that can detect each position under severe construction fields. In this paper, for evaluating the developed cylinder under various environment condition, thermal control systems and two hydraulic systems to be coupled consist of. The former is composed of an heater case, temperature sensor, and interface circuits which include SCR(silicon controlled rectifier) for the control of the voltage's phase. The latter is composed of an hydraulic cylinder for position control with solenoid valve (ON/OFF motion) and a load cylinder with proportional reducing valve. To obtain the various performance evaluation, it is carried out under high temperature condition in thermal system controlled by using Ziegler-Nichols PID tuning method and artificial disturbances such as impulse or constant force. The results show that the developed cylinder has good performance under the various environment condition.

For home networking system with a function of air quality monitoring, a wireless sensor module with several air quality monitoring sensors was developed for indoor environment monitoring system in home networking. The module has various enlargements for various kinds of sensors such as humidity sensor, temperature sensor, CO2 sensor, flying dust sensor, and etc. The developed wireless module is very convenient to be installed on the wall of a room or office, and the sensors in the module can be easily replaced due to well designed module structure and RF connection method. To reduce the system cost, only one RF transmission block was used for sensors' signal transmission to 8051 microcontroller board in time sharing method. In this home networking system, various indoor environmental parameters could be monitored in real time from RF wireless sensor module. Indoor vision was transferred to client PC or PDA from surveillance camera installed indoor or desired site. Web server using Oracle DB was used for saving the visions by web-camera and various data from wireless sensor module.

In the catalogs that have presently been under research, the product information cannot be represented in a classified form but it also fails to be well defined, lacking the description of detail information for various products on a systematic fashion. And the product information is duplicated on its representation. In this study, an implementing model is to be proposed to analyze and classify the information that can be in use of describing various products, and to describe an integrated products information for various types of products while making up for the weak points of presently available researches. Also, this study shows that it is possible for the proposed model to represent various units of product information with presently proposed model applied to computers and book products in high demand of transaction, and by implementing electronic catalogues in the existing researches to prove its efficiency.

Recently, various and new special methods of construction about steel bridges have been tried, and the study about local buckling under this methods have been performed too. But because of various cases, structural analysis is performed to check safety for each step of construction, and this is not efficient and economical method for time and manpower. So, for solution of this problems, general method about checking safety needs to he developed. In this study, local buckiling of web of girder due to various load cases under construction by ILM(Incremental Launching Method) will be studio considering various parameters such as forces, aspect ratio, boundary condition and so on. Also interaction curve will he plotted for each case.

The ability to customize garments for fit in the apparel industry is directly tied to the availability of comprehensive and accurate sets of anthropometrical data for each consumer. The data for apparel sizing systems is available from three major standard/ research organizations: ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials), ISO (International Standard Organization), and NCHS (National Center for Health Statistics). However, these standards ignore various head shapes and are outdated for the development future head products. This creates a data gap an ever changing multi-cultural society such as the United Sates. Although major government and industry safety organizations recognize the importance of safety for head products, few studies were found to support their reasoning. The purpose of this study is to provide accurate head dimension data for developing safety head products by analyzing various head shapes in the United Sates which includes various ethnic backgrounds. This study was carried out on 105 males in the United States. Factor analysis, cluster analysis, Moreover, Duncan analysis were all used for analyzing various head shapes.
