Valve Seat/Cylinder Head 단품조립을 위한 상온압입공정 해석 (Analysis of the Room Temperature Fitting Process for Assembling the Part(Valve Seat and Cylinder Head))

  • There are three sub-processes associated with the assembly of the valve seat and cylinder head; heat fitting, cold fitting, and shrink fitting. In the heat fitting stage, the cylinder head is heated to a specified temperature and then squeezed toward the outer diameter of the valve seat. The cold fitting process cools the valve seat and safely squeezes it toward the inner diameter of cylinder head. However, these methods increased the installations & running cost and curtailed productivity. To address these problems, we analyzed the shrink fitting process using the contact pressure caused by fitting interference between the outer diameter of the valve seat and the inner diameter of the cylinder head. In this study, a closed form equation for predicting the contact pressure and fitting load is proposed. For quality control of the assembly line, principal factors of the shrink fitting process influenced in contact pressure were simulated by the FEM. Actual loads measured in the field showed good agreement with the results obtained by theoretical and finite element analysis.

  • Flow control butterfly valve(FCBV) is known to have difficulty in controlling flow rate along valve opening due to its high flow rate. In low opening condition, the butterfly valve also has some shortcomings such as noise, vibration and erosion which are mostly caused by cavitation effects. Therefore, the FCBV requires proper remedies to reduce cavitation effects and to improve flow control performance. Numerical analysis is applied to FCBV flow to find effects of design factors such as seat diameter and valve opening rate. Cases with 3 different sizes of seat diameter and various valve opening rate are selected for the numerical analysis. From the analysis results, it is found that the FCBV with small seat diameter shows better pressure loss performance and reduced cavitation effects.

  • In this paper, poppet valve with cone type poppet and sharp edged seat was studied. In order to develope poppet valve which have a specification of 315(bar) and 3(lpm), effect of design parameter as valve seat diameter, poppet angle, spring stiffness and spring pre-load was evaluated. The validity of simulation was confirmed and basic data far poppet valve design was derived.

  • In this Paper, a mathematical model describing the dynamics of pilot operated pressure control valve was derived. A attempt to analyze the Parameters(seat diameter, cone angle, spring stiffness, control volume) which relate to the performance of the object valve was carried out. Simulation using AMESim as a simulation tool was operated, and verified the validity of our simulation by means of comparison our simulation results with an experimental results of the pilot operated pressure control valve.

  • 우주발사체 추진기관 공급계에서 공압구동용 솔레노이드밸브는 제어시시템의 명령이 주어지면 구동가스 배관의 통로를 개폐해서 공압제어장치를 작동시킨다. 공압구동용 솔레노이드밸브의 제작에 앞서 설계검증 및 기본적인 작동특성을 분석하기 위해 AMESim 상용코드를 이용하여 해석모델을 수립하였다. 입구압력에 따른 작동시간을 시험결과와 비교하여 모델을 검증하였고 내부유동 해석결과 (FLUENT)를 이용하여 3차원 형상을 고려하여 모델의 정확도를 높였다. 밸브모델을 이용하여 다양한 설계변수에 따른 밸브의 개폐압력, 작동시간을 계산하여 설계인자 검증 및 작동성능을 분석하였다. 설계변수인 컨트롤밸브의 시트 형상, 주 밸브와 배출밸브의 시트 형상, 실링 직경비, 컨트롤 캐비티부피에 대해 밸브의 동특성 해석을 수행하였다. 해석을 통해 밸브 개폐작동시간, 작동성능, 개방압력을 예상하였다. 본 연구 결과는 한국형발사체 공급계 공압구동용 솔레노이드밸브의 설계/해석능력을 확보하고 밸브의 개발과정에서 효율성을 높일 수 있으며 파생형 밸브의 설계 및 선행연구에 적용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • 우주발사체 추진기관 공급계에서 2-way 솔레노이드밸브는 제어시스템의 명령에 의해 추진제 탱크를 가압하여 탱크내의 압력을 조절한다. 가압용 솔레노이드밸브의 제작에 앞서 설계검증 및 기본적인 작동특성을 분석하기 위해 AMESim상용코드를 이용하여 해석모델을 수립하였다. 입구압력에 따른 작동시간을 시험결과와 비교하여 모델을 검증하였다. 솔레노이드밸브 모델을 이용하여 설계변수인 컨트롤 밸브의 시트 직경, 주 밸브의 시트 직경, 실링 직경 비에 대해 밸브의 동특성 해석을 수행하였다. 해석을 통해 밸브의 개폐작동시간, 작동성능, 개폐압력을 예상하였다. 본 연구 결과는 한국형 발사체 공급계 가압용 솔레노이드밸브의 설계/해석능력을 확보하고 밸브의 개발과정에서 효율성을 높일 수 있으며 파생형 밸브의 설계 및 선행연구에 적용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • Steady flow bench test is a practical, powerful and widely used test in most engine manufacturers to give a design concept of a new engine. In order to use steady data as a performance index, it is necessary to build some database, which can correlate the port characteristics with engine data. However, it is very hard to investigate all port and valve shapes with experimental tools. The steady flow scheme is relatively simple and its results are bulk ones such as flow rate and momentum of flow. Therefore a CFD code can be easily applied to the port evaluation. In this study, the steady flow test was simulated through two and three-dimensional analysis on intake port design for comparing with experimental data and confirming the feasibility of applying analytic method. For this purpose, the effect of valve curvature on flow rate was estimated by a CFD code. There results were compared with those of real steady flow tests. As a result, the 2-D analysis described the phenomena qualitatively well, and also the results of 3-D analysis were almost consistent with experimental data.

밸브 양정의 연속 변화에 의한 준정상 유동 조건에서의 엔진 실린더헤드 유량계수 특성 (Characteristics of Flow Coefficients in an Engine Cylinder Head with a Quasi-steady Flow Condition by Continuous Variation of the Valve Lift)

  • Flow Coefficients of intake port in an engine cylinder head were measured by a newly designed flow rig. In measuring the flow coefficient with traditional method, the valve lift was manually varied by technician with adjusting a micrometer which is directly connected to the intake valve of the cylinder head. The cam shaft of the cylinder head is directly rotated by a step motor and the valve lift was automatically varied with cam shaft profile in the newly designed flow rig. The measurement of the flow coefficient was automated by rotating the cam shaft with the step motor. Automatic measurement of the flow coefficient could be safely measured by separating a technician from the noise and vibration of the traditional flow rig. Also, the automatic measurement of the flow coefficient reduce the measurement time and provide meaningful statistical data.

좁은 틈새 원판 밸브의 추력에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Thrust Force of a Narrowly Spaced Disk Valve)

  • 좁은 틈새를 가진 원판밸브의 추력에 대한 이론적 해석 및 실험 결과로부터 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있다. 1. 원판 밸브의 틈새가 비교적 작은 경우(H/D sub(1)가 0.1 이하) 즉, 유량이 적을 때에는 점성류가 지배적이고 이론식으로부터 추력을 높게 예측할 수 있었다. 2. 압력의 영향에 대한 추력은 입구 압력이 낮을수록 이론결과와 실험결과가 잘 일치하고 높을수록 관성의 영향이 크게 나타나는 경향을 보였다. 3. 밸브 크기 변화에 대한 추력의 영향은 D sub(2)/D sub(1)=>4.6에서는 포물선적으로 감소하고 그 이하에서는 직선적으로 감소하였다.
