Valve-Point 효과가 고려된 경제급전 문제에서의 DS알고리즘에 관한 연구 (Differential Search Algorithm for Economic Load Dispatch with Valve-Point Effects)

  • This paper presents an Differential Search(DS) Algorithm for solving the economic load dispatch(ELD) problems with Valve-Point loading constraints. DS algorithm simulates the Brownian-like random-walk movement used by an organism to migrate. Numerical results on a test system consisting of 13 units show that the proposed approach is faster, more robust and powerful than conventional algorithms. Case studies show the simulation results are better than Lagrange method, the Hopfield neural networks and GA.

파일럿형 압력 릴리프 밸브의 최적설계 (An Optimal Design of pilot type relief valve by Genetic Algorithm)

  • In this study, a novel systematic design procedure by Genetic Algorithm of a two stage relief valve is proposed. First of all, a mathematical model describing the dynamics of a balanced piston type relief valve has been derived. Governing equations such as dynamic equations for the main spool and the pilot spool and flow equations for each orifice are established. The mathematical model is verified by comparing the results of simulation with that of experiments. Furthermore, influences of the parameters on the dynamic characteristics of a relief valve have been investigated by simulation of the proposed model. Major design parameters on the valve response are determined, which affect the system response significantly. And then, using the determined parameters, the optimization of the two stage relief valve by Genetic Algorithm, which is a random search algorithm can find the global optimum without converging local optimum, is performed. The optimal design process of a two stage relief valve is presented to determine the major design parameters. Fitness function reflects the changing pressure according to parameters. It is shown that the genetic algorithms satisfactorily optimized the major design parameters of the two stage relief valve.

  • Direct spring loaded pressure relief valve(DSLPRV) is a safety valve to relax surge pressure of the pipeline system. DSLPRV is one of widely used safety valves for its simplicity and efficiency. However, instability of the DSLPRV can caused by various reasons such as insufficient valve volume, natural vibration of the spring, etc. In order to improve reliability of DSLPRV, proper selection of design factors of DSLPRV is important. In this study, methodology for selecting design factors for DSLPRV was proposed. Dynamics of the DSLPRV disk was integrated into conventional 1D surge pressure analysis. Multi-objective genetic algorithm was also used to search optimum design factors for DSLPRV.

  • The reduction of leakage is a major issue of the South Korea water industry. The inclusion of pressure dependent leakage terms in network analysis allows the application of optimization techniques to identify the most effective means of reducing water leakage in distribution networks. This paper proposes a method to find optimal setting and location of control valve for reducing leakage efficiently. The proposed search method differs from previous methods for addressing optimal valve location problem and improves the GA simulation time with guaranteeing for getting the global optimal solution. The strength of this method has been demonstrated by means of case studies. This allows the procedure of optimization to be more robust and computational efficient.

상수관망의 부분적 격리를 위한 제수밸브 탐색 알고리듬 (An Algorithm for Searching On-Off Valves to Isolate a Subsystem in a Water Distribution System)

  • Concerns related to protecting, identifying, and isolating of subsystems of a water distribution network have led to the realization of the increased importance of valves in the system. The most important purpose of valves in water distribution systems is to isolate a subsystem due to breakage, maintenance activities, or contamination. A subsystem called segment is isolated by the closure of adjacent valves. Minimizing the pipe failure impact, an efficient algorithm is required to identify adjacent valves quickly. In this paper, an algorithm to identify adjacent valves to be closed to isolate a subsystem from the remainder of a network when a pipe failure is presented. The algorithm is operated on a matrix called the valve location matrix containing the information of valve locations. An application to an existing water distribution system demonstrates the developed algorithm efficiently locates the adjacent valves for the isolation of a broken pipe.

  • This Paper presents an efficient approach for solving the economic dispatch (ED) problems with valve-point effects using an combination of particle swarm optimization and harmony search. To reduce a premature convergence effect of PSO algorithm, We proposed PSO-HS algorithm considering evolutionary using harmony search algorithm. To prove the ability of the PSO-HS in solving nonlinear optimization problems, ED problems with non-convex solution spaces are solved with three different approach(PSO, HS, combination of PSO and HS)

  • 직접구동형 서보밸브의 제어시스템은 비선형적이며 밸브스풀에 미치는 유체력의 영향은 매우 크고 부하압력의 크기에 좌우된다. 제어시스템의 설계요구조건을 만족시키기 위해, 제약직접탐색방법인 유전자 알고리즘과 콤플렉스법을 적절히 활용하여 진상-지상제어기 및 미분피드백제어기의 최적 상수값을 탐색하였다. 최적 제어기 상수값을 대입하여 제어시스템을 시뮬레이션한 결과 설계요구조건을 만족하였다.

  • 솔레노이드 전자기 엔진 밸브 액츄에이터는 현재의 내연 연소 엔진의 가변 밸브 타이밍에 가장 적합하고 진보된 장치이다. 하지만 솔레노이드 전자기 액츄에이터는 전력소모가 크다는 단점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 전력소모가 작은 가변 밸브 타이밍을 구현하기 위해 영구자석을 활용한 새로운 전자기 엔진 밸브 액츄에이터를 제안한다. 이 연구에서는 엔진 밸브의 과도운동 시간의 최소화를 통해 엔진의 속도를 극대화하기 위하여 새롭게 제안한 액츄에이터의 형상을 최적 설계하였다. 최적화를 위해 유전자 알고리즘을 사용하고 Matlab과 Maxwell을 활용하여 전역 최적화 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.

상수도 관망의 노드-파이프-밸브 사이의 상대적 위치 관계를 수립하기 위한 알고리즘의 개발 (Development of the algorithms for establishing the relative positional relations between node-pipe-valve of water pipe networks)

  • 관망의 세그먼트를 파악하기 위한 알고리즘을 구동시키기 위해서는 관망의 주요 구성요소들인 절점, 파이프, 및 밸브 간의 상대적인 위치 관계를 세그먼트 탐색 알고리즘의 입력정보로 준비해야 한다. 실제 지자체 관망에 존재하는 세그먼트를 보다 정확하게 파악하기 위해서는 관망 수리해석 프로그램 구동을 위해 모델링된 관망 정보를 이용하기 보다는, 모든 제수밸브가 포함된 지자체 상수도 관망 GIS/CAD 데이터베이스를 이용하여 세그먼트 탐색에 적합하게 재구성된 관망 정보를 이용할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 지자체 상수도 관망 GIS/CAD 데이터를 이용하여 관망 세그먼트 탐색에 적합한 노드-파이프-밸브 간의 상대적 위치관계를 수립할 수 있는 컴퓨터 계산 알고리즘을 개발하였으며, 이를 구현할 수 있는 MATLAB 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 MATLAB 프로그램을 국내 지자체 상수도 관망에 적용하여 그 실효성을 확인하였다.
