The aim of this study was to examine how customers perceive storytelling at a real local restaurant and to understand how consumption reflects their evaluation by understanding their values. Participants received information from a real local restaurant in the Gangneung area to examine the effects of storytelling and to evaluate their affective attitudes towards local restaurant stories, word-of-mouth intentions, and purchasing intentions using a seven-point Likert scale. A total of 310 consumers were used. A factor analysis was performed to identify consumption value characteristics and factor structure, which consisted economic value, emotional value, and epistemic value. To test whether local restaurant consumers could be classified into homogenous groups based on their consumption values, a three cluster solution was selected, and a Kmeans cluster analysis was performed. As a result, three groups were identified and labeled appropriate for their scores based on each of the consumption values; emotional value-oriented consumers to cluster 1, epistemic value-oriented consumers to cluster 2, and economic value-oriented consumers to cluster 3. An analysis of variance was used to examine the differences in the affective attitudes towards storytelling at the local restaurant, purchasing intentions, and word-of-mouth intentions across the three clusters. The epistemic value-oriented consumers had the highest score for all three variables. In contrast, economic value-oriented consumers had the lowest scores for the three variables. A regression analysis revealed that affective attitudes towards storytelling were significantly affected by these three consumption values. It also showed that positive affective attitudes towards storytelling were associated with higher purchasing intention and word-of-mouth. The significance of this study was to show how customers perceive storytelling at a real restaurant and reflect on their evaluation by understanding their consumption values. As a result, this study examined the potential power of storytelling as an effective marketing communication tool for local restaurants.

It is known that there is an infinite family of general pretzel knots, each of which has Rasmussen s-invariant equal to the negative value of its signature invariant. For an instance, homologically ${\sigma}$-thin knots have this property. In contrast, we find an infinite family of 4-strand pretzel knots whose Rasmussen invariants are not equal to the negative values of signature invariants.

Phenolics as antioxidant were added to linoleic acid to prevent lipid oxidation. Antioxidative effectiveness of them was measured by peroxie value at each 24hour interval in order to compare with 0.02% protocatechuic acid(PRL) and phloroglucinol(PHL) in linloleic acid, contrast tube at 37$^{\circ}C$for 96 hours blowing oxygen into specimen. Perocide values of oxidized linoleic acid, PRL, PHL for 96 hours were 78, 42, 30, From that the effect is more clearly demonstrated by NMR rather than UV and that the effect was dependent on the functional group and geometric molecular structure of phenolics.

DC choppers are usually used to control the DC motor by varying the average value of DC input voltage to the DC motors. In this paper, a chopper circuit is suggested and reconstructed by replacing the free-wheeling diode with the parallel capacitor in the conventional ones. It is demonstrated that this chopper circuit with capacitor can reduce the ripples of the output voltage and current in contrast to those of the chopper with diode, and it can be controlled the output waveforms smoothly at high power demand.

Purpose - This paper examines the value relevance of socially responsible activities in the Korean retail firms. Recent studies predict positive relationships between socially responsible activities and the value of corporation. Research design, data, and methodology - We use the environmental score, social score, governance score and the sum of these three scores to represent a fim's effectiveness of socially responsible activities. These scores are published by the Korean Corporate Governance Service. This paper adopts a share price valuation model to evaluate the effect of socially responsible activities on a firm's share price, which controls for the book value of assets and current earnings. The ordinary least square method is employed to examine the relationship. The sample of Korea retail firms is examined from 2011 to 2016. We also conduct sub-sample analysis based on the categorization of chaebol affiliates and non-chaebol affiliates. Results - The entire sample analysis finds neither negatively nor positively significant relationship between socially responsible activities and the value of a corporation. In contrast, our examinations find a significantly positive valuation effect of social score within non-chaebol retail firms. Conclusions - The results weakly support the positive valuation effect of socially responsible activities. The results are consistent with recent studies that highlight heterogeneous effects of socially responsible activities on corporate policies and valuation.

A study has been made of the Korean bentonite aqueous suspension contrast with American bentonite by means of XRD IR swelling, gel formation and rheogram at various conditions such as concentration, temperature and pH. The Korean bentonite was identified as montmorillonite clay containig a small proprotion of crystoballite and mordenite, and its swelling power were acceptable for requirements of Korean pharmacopeia regulations though its values were not satisfied. Korean bentonite swelled to 10 times and American one did to 15 times compared to its bulkiness of powder. The rheogram of Korean bentonite suspension reveals bulged pseudoplatic flow with yield value at higher concentration and pseudoplastic flow without yield value at lower concentration. The higher the concentration, the greater were the apparent viscosity and hysteresis loop. Korean bentonite suspension showed insignificant temperature dependence on both apparent viscosity and hysteresis loop and it was more temperature dependent on viscosity but less on hysteresis loop than those of American sample. The pH dependence was so high on viscosity that apparent minimum value was near pH 7 and maximum value at pH 3 or 7. The hysteresis loop appeared minimum over the pH range 5-7 and maximum near pH 3 or 11. The Korean bentonite was inferior to the American bentonite in swelling volume, gel formation, thioxotropy, however, it would be possible to improve the quality of Korean bentonite by developing the method of purification for bentonite clay.

This paper aims to compare open source software (OSS) with proprietary software (PS), and to propose a new business model for OSS. Generally speaking, PS has made negative impact on software industry in various ways. In contrast, OSS may reduce negative aspects of lock-in effect and transaction cost the ways in which software distribution has been utilized. In this regard, OSS makes it possible to create a new business model, which is software customization. Software customization is not to sell software license directly to end-users, but to create values by means of developing and capitalizing software-related industries where value chain is linked. In other words, the new business model of OSS is focusing on software market where the value created by OSS can be enhanced.

Mini Double Gears Frame is critical part of PDP and also produces couple hundred thousand every month. In the process of mass production, product inspection is very important process. Double Gear, one of the part of machine, was inspected by human eyes which caused mistakes and slow progress. To achieve the speed and accuracy the system was compensated by vision system which is inspecting automatically. The focus value is measured based on the fact that high contrast images have much high frequency edge information. High frequency term of the image is extracted using the high-pass filter and the sum of the high frequency term is used as the focus value. We used a Gaussian smoothing filter to reduce the noise and then measures the focus value using the modified Laplacian filter called a Sum modified Laplacian Focus values for the various lens positions are calculated and the position with the maximum focus value is decided as the focused position. The focus values calculated in various lens position showed the Gaussian distribution. We proposed a method to estimate the best focus position using the Gaussian curve fitting. Focus values of the uniform interval lens positions are calculated and the values are used to estimate the Gaussian distribution parameters to find the best focus position.

Mullite-PSZ powders were synthesized by the sol-gel process using Al(sec-OC4H9)3, Si(OC2H5)4, ZrOCl2$.$8H2O and YCl3 solution and the characteristics of synthesized powders were studied. The sinterability and mechanical properties of powder compacts sintered at 1670$^{\circ}C$ for 4hr were also studied for various PSZ contents. ${\gamma}$-Al2O3(Al-Si spinel) formed at 980$^{\circ}C$ from amorphous dried gel, and mullite as well as ZrO2 formed above 1200$^{\circ}C$. At the room temperature, ZrO2 was a mixture of tetragonal and monoclinic phases. The specimens were densified to 97∼98% except the specimen containing 25 vol% PSZ which showed the relative density of 94%. The K1c value increased with the PSZ content and showed a maximum value of 4.1 MN/m3/2 at 25 vol% PSZ; this value was about 50% higher than that of the mullite without PSZ. Flexural strength had a maximum value of 280 Mn/㎡ at 20 vol% PSZ. In contrast, at 25 vol%, the flexural strength was even lower than that of the mullite possibly due to higher porosity of 6%.
