When purchasing an online product, a customer tends to be influenced strongly by its reputation, the aggregation of other customers' ratings on it. The reputation, however, is not always trustable since it can be manipulated easily by attackers who intentionally give unfair ratings to their target products. In this paper, we first address identifying trustable users who tend to give fair ratings to products in online rating systems and then propose a method of computing true reputation of a product by aggregating only those trustable users' ratings. In order to identify the trustable users, we list some candidate features that seem related significantly to the trustworthiness of users and verify the robustness of each of the features through extensive experiments. By finding and exploiting these robust features, we are able to identify trustable users and to compute true reputation effectively and efficiently based on fair ratings of those trustable users.
Most recommendation systems recommend the products or other information satisfying preferences of users on the basis of the users' previous profile information and other information related to product searches and purchase of users visiting web sites. This study aims to apply these application categories to e-mail more necessary to users. The E-Mail System has the strong personality so that there will be some problems even if e-mails are automatically classified by category through the learning on the basis of the personal rules. In consideration with this aspect, we need the semi-automatic system enabling both automatic classification and recommendation method to enhance the satisfaction of users. Accordingly, this paper uses two approaches as the solution against the misclassification that the users consider as the accuracy of classification itself using the dynamic threshold in Bayesian Learning Algorithm and the second one is the methodological approach using the recommendation agent enabling the users to make the final decision.
In this paper, we consider the D2D Transmitter(Tx) and Receiver(Rx) pair assignment problem in the cellular system. Sharing the resource of the cellular system, D2D users may cause interference to the cellular system, though it is beneficial to improve the D2D user Capacity. Therefore, to protect the cellular users, D2D transmit power should be carefully controlled. Previously, optimal Tx-Rx assignment to minimize the total transmit power of users was investigated. Accordingly, the iterative algorithm to find the optimum Tx-Rx asignment was obtained. In this work, we consider the case where Tx group users becomes Rx group users, and Rx group users become Tx group users. We prove that the Tx-Rx assignment problem has the duality property. We present the numerical examples that show the duality between U-link and D-link.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of health club users' perception of service quality on user satisfaction and loyalty. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of health club users' perception of service quality on user satisfaction and loyalty. In order to achieve this research purpose. In 2020, participants in health clubs over 20 years old residing in Gwangju Metropolitan City and Jeollanam-do were selected as the population and a total of 300 subjects (273 males and 127 females) were selected using a convenient sampling method. The data collected using this was statistically processed according to the purpose of analysis using SPSS 20.0 version. The results obtained through this research process are as follows. First, it was found that the health club users' perception of service quality had a partial effect on user satisfaction. Second, it was found that the service quality perception of health club users partially affected the loyalty. Third, it was found that health club users' satisfaction with use partially affected their loyalty.
Though easy payment service is the most well accepted one among various fin-tech services, the users still face difficulties and feel embarrassed when they use it. Over the past few years, many studies have been done on the users' experiences of easy payment service but there are little studies directly exploring the users' inquiries on the web. In this paper, we analyzed users' questions on Kakao Pay, Naver Pay, and Samsung Pay in Naver Jisik-iN, the biggest inquiry service in Korea from 2019 to 2020. We used keyword analysis, association analysis, and sentiment analysis. We found out that each payment service has distinct inquiries from the users according to its platform which it is based on.

This study suggested the environmental components for open space in a healing environment based on the social support approach for integrating and enhancing users' activities and interactions. The physical environments of the open space in healing facilities should be suggested by social support design and support the interactions of various users. Particularly architectural environment conditions should reinforce the contribution to the revitalization of medical facilities based on improving the healing effect of patients through mutual exchange of users. The open space environment conditions influence users' healing process with physical design factors and users' interactions, and the flexible environments based on the social support that is crucial for circulation and mutual exchange of users. The open space transformation, integration of technology, and wayfinding system with color and signage also allow users to improve the space experience and easy access. The environmental components of open space design should include easy access for user inflow, flexible layout for comfort, access to outdoor spaces, integration of warm color schemes for relaxation, personalization of spaces with artwork, and visual interest through the use of textures and materials.
Although research on Virtual Reality (VR) has uncovered numerous technical advantages of VR over traditional media, little is known about how individual VR users with varying prior experience respond to VR differently. This paper examines the effect of users' prior VR experience on their subsequent real-life behavior in the domain of charitable consumption. Specifically, we find that compared to experienced VR users, novice VR users are more likely to support a charitable cause in real life (e.g., ocean conservation) after experiencing this cause in VR. The increased support among novice VR users occurs because they perceive the use of VR to be more novel. We find a boundary of this effect such that when VR is used to promote a noncharitable cause, novice VR users no longer increase their real-life support after VR. This research offers new possibilities for future studies on the use of VR in societal marketing.
In this paper, a technique is proposed that enables secondary users to evaluate channel availability in cognitive radio networks. Here, secondary users estimate the utilization of channels via predicting the traffic pattern of primary user, and select a proper channel for radio transmission. The proposed technique reduces the channel switching rate of secondary users (the rate of switching from one channel to another) and the interference on primary users, while maintaining a reasonable call blocking rate of secondary users.
Objective: This study presents an observation and analysis on behavioral characteristics of old users in comparison to young users in the use of control on display interface. Background: Touch interface which allows users to control directly on display, is conceived as delight and easy way of human-computer interaction. Due to the advantage in stimulus-response ensemble, the old users, who typically experiencing difficulties in interacting with computer, would expected to have better experience in using computing machines. Method: Twenty nine participants who are over 50 years old and 14 participants who are in 20s years old were participated in this study. Three primary tasks in touch interface, which are tap, move, and flick, were delivered by the users. For the tap task, response time and point of touch response were collected and the response bias was calculated for each trial. For the move task, delivery time and the distance of finger movements were recorded for each trial. For the flick task, task completion time and flicking distance were recorded. Results: From the collected behavioral data, temporal and spatial differences between young and old users behavior were analyzed. The older users showed difficulty in completing move task requiring eye-hand coordination.
Protecting privacy is an important goal in designing location-based services. Service providers want to verify legitimate users and allow permitted users to enjoy their services. Users, however, want to preserve their privacy and prevent tracking. In this paper, a new framework providing users with more privacy and anonymity in both the authentication process and the querying process is proposed. Unlike the designs proposed in previous works, our framework benefits from a combination of three important techniques: k-anonymity, timed fuzzy logic, and a one-way hash function. Modifying and adapting these existing schemes provides us with a simpler, less complex, yet more mature solution. During authentication, the one-way hash function provides users with more privacy by using fingerprints of users' identities. To provide anonymous authentication, the concept of confidence level is adopted with timed fuzzy logic. Regarding location privacy, spatial k-anonymity prevents the users' locations from being tracked. The experiment results and analysis show that our framework can strengthen the protection of anonymity and privacy of users by incurring a minimal implementation cost and can improve functionality.
