Two government affiliated research institutes, EDUMAC and AURI, are developing some tools for an user participating design process in public recently. The tools are originated from DQI/DQIfS, launched in 2002 by CIC(Construction Industry Council) in U.K.. At the beginning DQI/DQIfS was not a tool for making a decision but for a communication between layman and experts of architectural process. Because of this intent the most crucial thing is not DQI/DQIfS itself but how to use the tool: CIC is trying to develop various ways of facilitation. Domestic situation is no exception. Without a proper tool there were an independent user participating process in 2001 and it must have been the first participating process in architectural discourse. Through the seven workshops, the users of Namhansan elementary school drew not only the vision of the school but also concrete requirements which have been continuously adopted so far. The aims of this paper to analyse two facilitation processes: DQI/DQIfS in U.K. and the case of Namhansan process. Even not a proper tools for the process there was a spontaneous facilitation in Namhansan process. When we make a comparison between the Namhansan process and the DQI/DQIfS process there are considerable similarities in terms not only of the process itself but also the results. It shows that there are possibilities to make a Korean facilitation in a user participating process and this study must be the first step.

고속 서비스를 제공해주는 LTE가 상용화됨에 따라 가입자와 트래픽이 증가하여 2차 데이터 폭발 및 사용자 불편이 예상된다. 본 논문에서는 트래픽 증가로 인한 네트워크 부하를 해결하면서도 사용자에게 빠르고 안정적인 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 모바일 앱을 통한 사용자 참여 기반의 스마트 트래픽 관리 방안과 시스템 설계를 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 데이터 사용량과 통신 요금에 절약 욕구가 있는 사용자가 타임 쉬프트를 통하여 파일 공유, SW다운로드와 같은 지연 가능 서비스를 다른 시간대로 이동시켜 피크 트래픽을 줄이고, 비디오 사이즈를 사용자 맞춤형으로 변환하여 대용량 비디오 트래픽을 줄이는 방법이다. 또한 사용자가 주체가 되어 서비스 이용 시간과 비디오 사이즈를 선택할 수 있는 방안과 시스템 설계 및 사용자 시나리오를 제시한다.

In order to communicate each other we need both a system and contexts. Generally a system is called language and contexts are a common sense with a culture. If there is an absence of one of them it is impossible to understand each other. The concept of UPDP(User participating Design Process) is very similar to a communication. There must need both a system(formal tools) and a process to make consensus. Even though we already have two systems(KEBDI and PDAT) being developed by government affiliated research institutes these have not intimately related to a process to make consensus so far. In this respect the UPDP with using DQIfS of U.K. for a remodelling of Noryangjin elementary school(2013) is the most valuable because it is the first trying to communicate between laymen and professionals by menas both of a qualified system and of facilitations which have been developed from Namhansan UPDP(2001) in korea. The paper shows the process of UPDP including how to organise the members, detailed facilitation methods and the result of DQIfS analysis in U.K. Above all for the successful result the most important thing is the intimate relationship between the tool and facilitations at the beginning and user's will to build up.

본 연구는 대학도서관 이용자교육이 이용자의 학술정보 이용능력을 향상시키는데 기여할 수 있는지를 연구하고자 하였다. 덕성여자대학교에서 인터넷정보활용 과목을 수강하는 39명의 학생을 대상으로 이용자교육을 제공한 전후의 학술정보 이용능력을 평가하였다. 피험자들은 학술정보검색 문제를 성공적으로 해결하는지를 조사하였으며 소요시간, 피험자자신에 대한 정보능력 평가점수를 측정하였다. 이용자교육 후 약8주후에 동일한 실험을 반복하여 교육의 효과가 지속하는지의 여부를 또한 조사하였다. 이용자교육은 피험자의 학술정보검색 능력을 현저하게 향상시켰으며, 소요시간을 단축시켰으며 스스로에 대한 정보능력을 긍정적으로 평가하는데 크게 기여한 것으로 나타났다. 이용자교육은 원문검색이나 색인검색과 같은 고급학술정보이용능력 향상에 특히 효과적인 것으로 조사되었다. 한번 학습한 이용자교육의 효과는 일정한 시간이 지난후에는 다소 정보능력이 떨어지는 경향을 보이기는 했으나 여전히 지속하는 것으로 나타났다.

Agricultural Technology Center is an education center to provide agriculturalists with information and technology related with agriculture. As domestic and international environment of agriculture and rural area is changing, functions and roles of Agricultural Technology Center are evolving according to stream of times. In 1995, a new urban and rural complex city was created for symbiotic relationship between city and rural area, As a result, user group of Agricultural Technology Center expanded to nonagriculturalists. Though the change of agricultural extension service is necessary to perform extended functions of rural area and to satisfy needs of new group of users, it is difficult to find enough studies on new functions and roles of Agricultural Technology Center to manage the service change. Therefore, this study is aimed to suggest new functions and roles of Agricultural Technology Center according to stream of times. This study were surveyed through questionnaire targeting users of Namyangju Agricultural Technology Center to compare user group awareness of Agricultural Technology Center in urban and rural complex city. According to this study result, while main purpose of agriculturalists' visiting at Agricultural Technology Center was participating in education programs related with agriculture. In contrast, nonagriculturalists usually visited the center for agricultural understanding, leisure activities, and children education, participating in field work programs. From the survey result of required functions of the center, it was revealed that nonagriculturalists expected urban agriculture, research for living improvement in rural area, adjustment education for returning farmer, and function of farming promotion, comparing agriculturalists. It is verified that this difference of user group awareness reflects the necessity that Agricultural Technology Center should change services and accept increasing use of nonagriculturalists with new functions and roles.

This study is purposed to suggest the method for improving the effect of the mental health project by checking the influence of the "value and function of the mentally disabled" to the "satisfaction to current life of the mentally disabled" for the users of the daytime mental rehabilitation service in the local community, and the difference in the"satisfaction to the current life of the mentally disabled" and "value and function of the mentally disabled" depending on the participation into the mental rehabilitation program. With regard to the "satisfaction to the current life of the mentally disabled", the result showed that the "relation between the current user members" and "consideration about himself in usual time" were the positive influential factors out of the measuring factors for the "value and function of the mentally disabled." In addition, with regard to the "satisfaction to the current life of the mentally disabled", in case of participating to the "vocational rehabilitation program" out of the mental rehabilitation programs, the general "personal value and function which are felt by the mentally disabled" has higher significant difference in case of participating into the "social technology program", "daily life program", "vocational rehabilitation program", "leisure activity program" out of the mental rehabilitation programs than non participating.

Existing internet auction systems have adopted the form which gives a win to the auction bidder who proposes the top bid price for the goods posted on the auction board. But they haven't been satisfying the automatical one-step processing for user's convenience because they must require continuous care of user for bidding and checking as well as neglecting the convenience of user interface while participating in the electronic bidding system. The AuctionBot system of Michigan Univ. is known as the representative internet auction system. It has merit allowing the various kids of bidding. But it does not support automatic a process which can replaces what user has to do using an agent. To improve this kind of user interface, we propose an automatic bidding price strategy algorithm which composes the auction system using agent and design for auto-bidding system using agent so that I can replace user's bidding activity. This mechanism gives an auction system the efficient bidding price strategy.

Internet of Things is growing rapidly. As it evolves, the amount of data is increasing significantly. It requires a new personalized information retrieval method. Internet of Things is defined as uniquely identifiable interoperable connected object. The first definition of Internet of Things was from Things oriented perspective. However, previous studies about personalized information retrieval method do not consider Things. To meet user's individual needs, previous studies concentrate on only human, not Things. In this paper, we propose a personalized information retrieval method considering participating device in Internet of Things. It provides personalized information using data type preference for each device. Moreover, it provides personalized results by integrating data type preference for set of devices. This paper describes a new personalized retrieval method and algorithm. It consists of five steps. Then, it presents four scenarios using proposed method. The scenarios show our work is more effective and efficient than existing one.

The purpose of this paper was to find a user participatory design method for the Sakuragaoka Community Center, Japan, through the following investigations: (1) Construction-Meeting Group (CMG) organized people of various social standings, who proposed the design terms desired for their community facilities, after indepth discussions and visiting similar facilities, (2) Aesthetic-Urban Committee (AUC) organized architectural professional advisors, who proposed facility size, functions, sky line, and accessibilities, (3) The administration office of Setagaya-Ku played an important role that included the organization of CMG and AUC and collected design concepts from participating user and professional advisors.

본 논문에서는 내용 기반 영상 검색을 이용하여 사용자가 원하는 영상을 쉽게 찾아내고, 이를 자동 재구성함으로써, 독창적인 영상 언어라 일컬어지는 몽타주를 사용자 중심의 관점에서 구현하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 실시간 몽타주 시스템은 이산 푸리에 변환(Discrete Fourier Transform)을 이용해 사용자가 선택한 영상의 특징을 찾고, 유클리디안 거리(Euclidean Distance)를 이용해 데이터베이스에 있는 영상과 유사도를 비교함으로써, 빠르고 효과적으로 사용자가 원하는 영상을 검색할 수 있다. 또한 카메라 트래킹(Camera Tracking)에 의해 실시간으로 사용자의 움직임 영상을 취득하고, 취득된 영상을 검색된 사용자의 영상과 함께 자동 재구성함으로써, 손쉽게 사용자의 의도에 맞춘 영상 재구성을 하게 된다. 본 시스템은 사용자를 즐겁게 참여시킬 수 있는 뉴미디어 영상 디자인 툴(엔터테인먼트)이다. 일방적으로 영상을 시청하는 소극적 영상의 수용자에서 벗어나 영상 재생산의 적극적 주체가 되는, 사용자 중심의 새로운 영화(미디어기반 엔터테인먼트)의 토대가 될 것으로 기대된다.
