This study investigated what motivated Gabriel Naud$\acute{e}$(1600-1653) to become associated with the library and how he performed his librarianship. He formulated his ideas into a theory, and put the ideas into practice through three libraries. Particularly, he established the goals of the library, and provided services in keeping with the goals. Such activities are closely related to the post of a modern librarian. In addition, it was found that his ideas bear similarities to Ranganathan's Five Laws of Library Science. Therefore, this article carried out the study from a universal perspective from which Naud$\acute{e}$ had opened the library and provided user-centered services.

Various kinds of studies for building up U-Korea are now underway. Especially, RFID comes into the spotlight as a core technology of Ubiquitous. Though, the development of higher levels of application is far behind the hardware-based technology in RFID application system. For that reason, In this paper suggests technology using RFID on Ubiquitous and embodies the effective health care application which is one of the application services of user-centered environment It realizes the system which enables us to manage and send data about changing prescriptions and locations of patients effectively under the basis of RFID tag and mobile devices. It also provides the high quality of practical effectiveness of entire system throughout the realization of applications of application server and mobile device. on the basis of framework for providing the various kinds of services and physical elements.

With the rapid growth of the Internet, various web-based businesses are creating a new environment in an imaginary space. However, this expanding Internet and user increase cause an overflow of transmission and numerous subordinate problems. To solve these problems, a parallel cluster system is produced using different methods. This thesis recommends a multi0distribution cluster group. It constructs a MPP dynamic distribution sub-cluster group using numerous low-priced and low-speed systems. This constructed sub-cluster group is then connected with a singular virtual IP to finally serve the needs of clients (users). This multi-distribution cluster group consists of an upper structure based on LVS and a dynamic serve cluster group centered around an SC-server. It conducts the workloads required from users in a parallel process. In addition to the web service, this multi-distribution cluster group can efficiently be utilized for the calculations which require database controls and a great number of parallel calculations as well as additional controls with result from the congestion of service.

Since the 1960's, diverse movements that oppose the uniform design tendency of modernism appears in Italy. Especially, Gaetano Pesce, who opposed uniformity and standardization that are based on mass production system, had interests in making unique product, not an identical product, while accepting modern production technology. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to comprehend Pesce's design, which creates diversity by arranging contingent, non-predictive, and episodic aspects in creative and acceptance processes according to the intension of the designer within mass production system, as a non-representational characteristic, which appears widely in modern thought and the arts, and examine how it is materialized in detailed design work. The study methods are first examining non-representation with theoretical contemplation and dealing with the design philosophy of Pesce based on the examination. Next, in order to discover non-representational characteristics that appear in the work of Pesce, it examines from introducing worker's creativity, user's possibility of choice, openness in the working process, and the aspects of researching materials. And a specific application method will be drawn through case analysis centered on furniture design. Gaetano Pesce's design that denies the world of representation based on the sameness comes to possess non-representational characteristics that acknowledge contingency and ceaselessly create difference by intentionally arranging during the working process.

Currently, the preferred processing of a user-centered ROI(Region-of-Interest) or a specific region of image than the transmission and decompression of a full image is needed in different applications. This preferred processing has been actively studied about from the ROI coding methods in JPEG2000 standards to the new methods complementing them. But, there does not exist an ROI coding method suitable for all applications. Therefore, this study shows a criterion of selection according to the application requirements for applying an adequate ROI coding method in JPEG2000 applications, and shows the experimental results deciding efficient parameters in the selected methods.

Recommender systems are popular applications that help users to identify items that they could be interested in. A recent research area on recommender systems focuses on detecting several kinds of inconsistencies associated with the user preferences. However, the majority of previous works in this direction just process anomalies that are intentionally introduced by users. In contrast, this paper is centered on finding the way to remove non-malicious anomalies, specifically in collaborative filtering systems. A review of the state-of-the-art in this field shows that no previous work has been carried out for recommendation systems and general data mining scenarios, to exactly perform this preprocessing task. More specifically, in this paper we propose a method that is based on the extraction of knowledge from the dataset in the form of rating regularities (similar to frequent patterns), and their use in order to remove anomalous preferences provided by users. Experiments show that the application of the procedure as a preprocessing step improves the performance of a data-mining task associated with the recommendation and also effectively detects the anomalous preferences.

A modular manipulator in serial-chain structure usually consists of a series of modularized revolute joint and link modules. The geometric shapes of these modules affect the number of possible configurations of modular manipulator after assembly. Therefore, it is important to design the geometry of the joint and link modules that allow various configurations of the manipulators with minimal set of modules. In this paper, a new 1-DoF(degree of freedom) joint module and simple link modules are designed based on a methodology of joint configurations using a series of Rotational(type-R) and Twist(type-T) joints. Two of the joint modules can be directly connected so that two types of 2-DoFs joints could be assembled without a link module between them. The proposed geometries of joint and link modules expand the possible configurations of assembled modular manipulators compared to existing ones. Modular manipulator system of this research can be a cornerstone of user-centered markets with various solution but low-cost, compared to conventional manipulators of fixed-configurations determined by the provider.

This study aims to enhance the usability of eBook reader programs on personal computers through heuristic evaluation in order to learn users' perceptions and derive key elements for interface design. For this purpose, the traditional usability evaluation and heuristic evaluation method were studied. A total of 22 evaluators of the heuristic evaluation were taken by purposive sampling to test the interface of eBook reader on PCs. This study suggested ten heuristics that focus on improving and specializing the usability aspects of reading digital materials.

The objective of the research lays at proposing user centered communication space. System of transformable space composition and characteristic of communication space is analyzed in order to achieve the objective. Based on analyzed case, it chose space method made through bellows method, and based on chosen method, it is trying to propose possibility of communicative space which suggests program with rotation. In addition to this, it will have function to selectively accommodate various programs and will widen the range of expandability which can be used for various places.
