  • In this paper, we conducted an empirical study to investigate whether Android app descriptions provide enough permission usages for measuring app quality in terms of human writing and consistency between code and descriptions. Android app descriptions are analyzed for various purposes such as quality measurement, functionality recommendation, and malware detection. However, many app descriptions do not disclose permission usages, whether accidentally or on purpose. Most importantly, the previous studies could not precisely analyze app descriptions if permission usages cannot be completely introduced in app descriptions. To assess the consistency between permissions and app descriptions, we implemented a state-of-the-art method to predict Android permissions for 29,270 app descriptions. As a result, 25% of app descriptions may not contain any permission semantic, and 57% of app descriptions cannot accurately reflect permission usages.

  • Since the input data such as types and quantities of materials cannot be acquired during the planning and designing phases, it is difficult to estimate the carbon emissions from the construction phase. As the materials are closely related to the building usages, an approximate estimation by the usages can be suggested. However, before confirming the estimation, the difference test among the carbon emissions of the building usages should be implemented. This study executed t-test or Mann-Whitney test between apartments and schools. The result of the study statistically verified the significant difference between the carbon emissions of apartments and schools.

  • In recent, many cardiac centers have preferred off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) to on-pump CABG to prevent the adverse effects of cardiopulmonary bypass. The present study was performed to prove beneficial effects of off-pump CABG. Sixty adult patients scheduled for elective CABG were randomly assigned to On-pump group (n=30) or Off-pump group (n=30). Arterial blood samples were drawn before and after the operation (Pre-OP and Post-OP, respectively) for measuring CBC, prothrombin time, activated thromboplastine time, blood gas analysis, creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB) level, and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) level. Perioperative parameters including heparin and protamine usages, complications, blood components usages, blood loss, ventilation and ICU-staying time, and hospitalization were also evaluated. Platelet count at Post-OP was high in Off-pump group whereas CK-MB and LDH levels were low compared with On-pump group. Off-pump group had significantly lower heparin and protamine usages, lower total leukocyte count, higher hematocrit and hemoglobin levels, less blood loss, lower usages of blood components, shorter ventilation and ICU-staying time, and lower incidence of pleural effusion than On-pump group. Other variables did not significantly differ between two groups. These results showed that Off-pump CABG was a satisfactory technique with less inflammatory reaction, less cardiac damage, less postoperative complications, and less cost.

  • 1. Objectives: After arranging the contents of the usages of Aconite mentioned in the literature - "Dongmu", a power trend me to further study the details of the usages of Aconite. 2 Methods: This study mainly refers to; "Dongmu-YuGo(東武遺稿)"(DYG), "Donguisusebowon-SaSangchobongyun(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷)"(DSS), "Donguisusebowon-GabObon(東醫壽世保元甲午本)"(DGO), "Donguisusebowon-ShinChukbon(東醫壽世保元辛丑本)"(DSC), and the research was written in order to find out the physiology and pathology of Soeumin in SCM. 3 Results and Conclusions 1) Taking aconite in a scale of 3 to 15 gram as common dosage, especially, when a person was critically ill, the dosage of 45 gram was used. Different dosages of aconite were chosen in accordance with some other different conditions, such as the purpose of reducing fever or mid-energizer warming, urinary volume, presence or absence of edema, stages of growth of diseases. In addition, we found a remedy using Remedy Single head garlic(獨頭蒜) instead of aconite. 2) Adverse toxic effects of aconite can be serious, it is dangerous to patients who are administered with aconite in massive amounts or take it in different concocting methods, therefore, further evidence about the laboratory experiments studied in animals and clinical dataare needed to confirm the scope for more widespread and accurate usages of Aconite.

  • For underpasses in Yeongjong Sky City business district, the guided drainage system, as a buoyancy prevention system has been designed, and is under construction. This paper investigates the safety of the guided drainage system for underpass structures being constructed in Yeongjong Sky City business district. This paper also calculates the amount of outflowing groundwater generated by the guided drainage system, and proposes alternative usages of the water. In order to investigate safety and field applicability of the guided drainage system for underpasses, characteristics of the surface flow for the area of interest have been analyzed, and the flow change of groundwater following the underpass structure construction has been evaluated using the 3-dimensional groundwater program MODFLOW. The influence of ground water on safety of the underpass structures has been calculated by FLAC2D analysis. For alternative usages for the outflowing groundwater generated by the guided drainage system, utilization methods of the outflowing groundwater in national and international resources have been researched. The amount of an outflowing groundwater to be generated in the area of interest has been analyzed, and efficient potential usages of this groundwater have been researched. When guided drainage technique is applied, the change in flow of groundwater must be evaluated and considered as safety factor relating to the buoyancy of the structure. As a result, safety factor demonstrated more than 1.2, meaning that the underpass structure is safe. The amount of subsoil drain generated by the guided drainage system was also analyzed. The quality and amount of water satisfied the standards and volume requirements, so as to make it applicable for a number of uses, such as X, Y, and Z, and should prove to be a valuable resource as the circumstances of the neighboring area change over time. These resources can be used as basic data for future urban water circulation studies, as well as generating research of alternative water usages.

A Study on the Accomodation of Trade Usage or Practice in CISG (UN 통일매매법(統一賣買法)(CISG)에서 국제무역관습(國際貿易慣習)의 수용여부(受容與否)에 관한 고찰(考察))

  • The CISG entrusts many problems to trade or practice : for example the problems which can't be compromised between civil law system and common law system ; the problems in which the application of usage or practice in universal ; the problems of rapid change according to trade circumstance. The purpose of this paper is to confirm whether the CISG is accomodating the usage or practice in its Text, and to find which topic is most closely related to usage or practice in CISG. The Article 9 in the CISG is a provision of usages or practices applicable to contract. But the problems of the CISG in the accomodation of usages or practices are that it lacks the definitions of ‘usage’ and ‘practices’, the CISG is not concerned with the validity of any usage according to Article 4, and the application of usage or practice may differ in litigation and arbitration The topics such as delivery of goods, payment of price and the transfer of risk are most closely related to usages and practices. The delivery of goods and the transfer of risk are determined by the trade terms like FOB or CIF. But the method of identification and the risk for the sale of goods in transit can't be determined by the trade terms in INCOTERMS(1990). So the CISG may serve as complementing role. In payment of price, the trade term does not refer to the time and place of payment. So the CISG may be the basis of interpretation. Likewise the usages and practices such as trade terms, UCP and so on, can be expected to play a significant role in complementing and interpreting the CISG.
