This study was intended to find methods of fire extinguishing system designs that can improve the equipment's usability. In this study, the fire suppression experiment through fire extinguishers and the data drawn through the experiment were analyzed, and then the guideline for the improvement of designs was presented. The procedure is as follows. A fire suppression experiment with the use of fire extinguishers was done by 43 average adults. The whole process of the fire suppression was videotaped, and then captured major scenes were analyzed with the use of RULA, a human engineering measurement tool. The analyzed data were divided into 4 steps, and then the guideline for design improvement was presented. The summary of the study is as follows. Step 1, Fire extinguisher distance step. To reduce overload occurring at the process of holding fire extinguishers suddenly, wheels are attached to the body of extinguishers, or pedestals are installed. Step 2, Fire extinguisher transportation step. The length of hose is extended, or fire fighting water is sprayed far, so that overload of legs occurring at the process of travel can be reduced. In addition, the weight of fire extinguisher shouldn't be over 2 kg. Step 3, Safety pin removal stage. Safety pins should be applied with button type, so that excessive posture of lower limbs and excessive twisting of wrists won't happen during safety pin removal process. Besides, safety pins should be designed for easy identification and operation. Step 4, Fire extinguishing agent spraying step. To reduce overload occurring at sudden spraying of fire fighting water, pressure should be increased gradually until high pressure. With the above study results applied to existing fire extinguisher design, it may contribute to reducing any fire damage.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport was developed the Construction CALS system for improvement of the construction economy. Construction CALS system is consist by Construction Portal System, Construction Management System, Construction Authorization and Permission System, Compensation Management System, Facility Maintenance Management System and has utilized at construction site of more than 900. Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and related researcher was proposed method of various function improvements for usability of the system. However, the proposed method was expanded the problems like increase of system management cost and development cost with decrease of data process rate. The problem was increases because has added of only service function without modify of software structure to the system on each different platform base. One of the methods for solving problems is to apply the e-Government framework and then integrated the different platform. The purpose of this paper is analyse of the applicability and efficiency of e-Government framework to the construction CALS system. For that was analyzed the e-Government standard framework and the developments case. And then was verified about the adaption possibility and efficiency by use the Function Point tool.
The purpose of this study is to investigate existing world economic science theories and concepts of sustainable development as well as create original system of criteria and indicators to assess potential and conditions for sustainable development from a regional perspective and based on the above justify proposals for public authorities to improve methods of economic regulation for regional development. To achieve the goal evolution process of existing theories and concepts of sustainable development and "green growth" have been studied in terms of its adaptation to the spatial development of Kazakhstan, comparative dynamics of natural resources consumption in the Asia-Pacific region and Kazakhstan were investigated as well. Methodology. World best theory and practice methods for assessment of the level of sustainable development of the country and some of its territories were also studied. We selected the best system of criteria and indicators for assessment of economic, social and environmental sustainability of regional systems. Methods offered in this article are based on traditional and new factors of economic development and conditions for operation of regional systems. Indicators are chosen with a glance to basic goals for future development of regions in Kazakhstan. It is recommended to use two levels of methodology offered by author, namely national and regional, and at the local level later (districts, municipalities, cities). The results. Method offered by the author has been tested based on materials and statistics of regions in Kazakhstan. Suitability and usability of the proposed system of criteria and indicators for measuring of economic, social and environmental sustainability of regional systems was proved. Based on this analysis it was found out that there are regions in Kazakhstan that differ from each other by most of key indicators of sustainable regional development and this tendency is increasing. Conclusions and recommendations. As a result of this analysis, the authors have substantiated a number of proposals on methods of analysis to be used, improvement of methods of regional development, implementation of institutional reforms, as well as improvement of regional statistics. This article provides recommendations that can be successfully used in the management practices by public authorities to implement a new regional strategy focused on sustainable development in future.

The Apartment resident's make-up of a family and residing preference are diversified by the change of lifestyle through the elevation of economy level and residing level. Accordingly, the remodeling and the early rebuilding for the satisfaction of a life cycle and a life style are increasing, and "Variability" that is the concept of Open Housing was emphasized as a central of residing plan in the apartment. Although apartments which select the space variability to the residing space are increasing gradually, the optimum composition structural system with space variability that satisfies the structure stability, the economical efficiency and the resident usability is not developed. The method of a study was progressed by a comparison and an analysis on each system with estimation elements through analyzing the development process and the special quality of existing composition structural system with space variability in the apartment. This paper offered the improvement direction on the current composition structural system with space variability for the development of modularizing system that is correct in domestic real condition.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the phenomenon of user's use of services, focusing on Skyscanner apps, and to suggest improvements to provide better user experience. The service described in this paper is complicated in booking ticket and deficient its usability at a certain age. As a result, three point of improvement is derived. Provide clear information and countermeasures. And make operating procedure be convenient to learn. It is significant that this study suggested ways to improve ticket reservation services through Skyscanner, a major online ticket reservation service. In the follow-up study, I expected that this study will help the various business models improve its system such as UI design, improvement of information structure, and Skyscanner for silver generation.
The purpose of this paper is to study the direction of improving kiosk design for convenient use by all users by increasing the usability of kiosks based on universal design principles. The direction of design improvement was studied by deriving essential improvements through additional surveys verifying the results of age-specific surveys and analysis related to the use of kiosks. The results of the study are as follows. High contrast between kiosk screen background and design elements, yellow color, and outline design elements increase readability. Then, reduce and enlarge the font based on 10pt. In addition, in consideration of wheelchair passengers, the area where the lower part cannot be designed and the minimum height of adjusting the height of the kiosk were derived. In the future, kiosk design requires a design and system that can diversify the functions of kiosks according to individual characteristics, and design should be focused on the application of universal design. Since this study has limited research subjects, further studies on various samples are required, and verification studies related to color and readability will also be conducted.

This paper proposes an improvement system for the marginalized digital underprivileged of these services due to the lack of intuition and usability for the recently increasing number of unmanned ordering devices' interfaces and device environments. The problem with kiosk service is that it lacks intuition among design principles and cannot be used by wheelchair passengers in environments that meet general standing standards. To solve this problem, we propose a service that can use kiosk-like environments on mobile devices by photographing QR codes with mobile devices. As a result of the experiment, people in their 20s did not experience difficulties in using the existing kiosk model, but in the case of the elderly, it was difficult to use the kiosk, so they asked for help. The improved kiosk model was carried out in their 20s without difficulty, and the results showed that it was carried out without difficulty even in the case of the elderly.
The development of online funeral services and social issues of eco-friendly funeral culture have raised awareness of the new need for online funeral culture. There have been several attempts to revitalize online funeral services in domestic institutions and companies, but the effect is weak. The purpose of this study is to propose a design that can improve the accessibility and usability of online memorial services by analyzing the usability problem factors through a First Time User Experience analysis of the online memorial platform. Therefore, in this study, in order to identify the problem factors of the online memorial platform, a literature review on the UX, OOBE, and FTUE theories was conducted. The subject of the study was the app 'Memorial'. Before analyzing the First-Time User-Experience, IA was compared and analyzed with other similar services to understand the characteristics of the UX service of the app 'Memorial', which is the subject of the study. In addition, tasks corresponding to the Unpack-Setup/Configure-First Use stage were performed on 10 subjects who had no experience using the online memorial platform. The experimental process was expressed as the UX Curve to identify factors that caused negative experiences. As a result, the major problem factors included unnecessary UI elements, the need for sensitive personal information at the membership stage, and lack of immersion in the service. The improvements included strengthening community functions to facilitate the sharing of emotions and promote smooth communication between users. We proposed UI/UX service developments that enhanced the app by incorporating these insights. In order to verify the effectiveness, serviceability, and value of the developed prototype, an interview with a expert was conducted. The interviewes consisted of three service design experts. This study was conducted to contribute to the quality improvement and activation of the recently emerging online funeral services. The study is significant as it aims to understand the current status of these services and identify the factors necessary to improve service accessibility and usability. Subsequent studies require in-depth user verification of how much the proposed improvement plan affects the actual user experience.

The infrastructure of North Korea has serious problems such as stability, usability, and durability because the facilities were built a long time ago. In recent years, the infrastructure improvement of North Korea has emerged as the important issue to preparing for reunification. However, there are no research institutions about the infrastructure in South Korea as well as the experts for operating or constructing the infrastructure. Therefore, the objective of this study is to propose the military use of infrastructure in North Korea by analyzing various data. The facilities such as road, railroad and electricity has been focused in this study. In the future, if the more specific data regarding condition and problems in each facility are collected, the more detailed military use of the infrastructure of North Korea can be suggested.

The ship surveyor makes a scheme of reasonable ship operation by examining whether the ship has been properly constructed in accordance with the rule of classification societies and international conventions or whether the facilities of the ship in operation meet the standard stipulated by law. Even though the ship surveyors of classification society generally consist of people who have the skill of design or operation of a ship, it takes a long time to train a surveyor to the maturity level. This paper describes the development of survey simulator based on virtual ship environment that enables the surveyor minimize trial and errors to survey the ships. By using VR(Virtual Reality) based survey simulator, surveyors possibly achieve improvement of competence in survey quality by means of safe and immersive training environment. In order to improve the usability and utility of the VR simulator, the ship 3D model has been generated using 3D CAD model for design and production in shipyard. Through this, we suggested the possibility of consistent use of 3D model as the digital twin of a ship.
