도시 공공공간 디자인 평가 지표 도출 및 개선 방안 연구 (A Study on the Design Evaluation Indicators and Improvements of Urban Public Space)

  • 본 논문은 공공공간의 개선 방안을 위하여 고려되어야 하는 평가 지표를 도출하고 공무원/학계 및 실무자 측면에서 중요도를 비료/분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 공공공간의 특성에 따른 계획항목을 선행연구를 바탕으로 도출하고, 세부지표들을 선별 후 전문가그룹인터뷰(FGI : Focus Group Interview)를 통하여 도출과정의 적합성과 도출된 항목들에 대한 부적합 여부를 논의하고, 합의된 항목만을 선정하였다. 선정된 지표는 전문가 설문을 통한 계층적 의사결정법(AHP : Analytic Hierachy Process)을 실시하여 중요도를 분석하고 종합순위를 도출하였다. 연구 결과, 공공공간의 중요도는 실무 전문가의 경우 사용성, 공공성, 환경성, 연계성, 정체성, 공간성 순으로 나타났으며, 공무원/학계는 사용성, 환경성, 연계성, 정체성, 공간성, 공공성 순으로 나타났다. 또한 종합분석 결과 우선순위에서 실무 전문가는 안전성을 가장 중요한 요소로 인식했으며, 공무원/학계는 청결성이 가장 중요한 요소로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 도출된 결과는 향후 공공공간의 개선 방안을 위한 계획적인 고려사항 및 평가로 활용될 수 있는 지표로 활용될 수 있을 것이며, 공공공간의 디자인가이드 라인으로 제시될 수 있다.

소아 우식관리를 위한 CAMBRA-kids 애플리케이션 개발 및 휴리스틱 평가 (Heuristics evaluation and development of the Caries Management by Risk Assessment (CAMBRA)-kids application for caries management of preschoolers)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to develop the CAMBRA-kids application for the systematic management of dental caries among preschoolers, activate the dental caries management system, and contribute to the dental caries management of preschoolers. Methods: The collected data were analyzed using R studio 1.2.1335 for Windows (RStudio Inc., Boston, MA, USA, 2018). Algorithm evaluation, heuristic evaluation and usability evaluation were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: Both expert evaluations of the application's algorithms were calculated as 100%, for proficiency and efficiency. The application worked well with the designed algorithms, the risk group level of participants was categorized appropriately, and the risk management method was guided properly according to the risk group level. Of the five problems presented in the heuristic evaluation, 'the lack of security' and 'the lack of information on oral health care' received 'high severity' scores. The usability evaluation of the application produces an overall score of 3.27. In the subscales (participation, functionality, aesthetics, and information) of the Mobile App Rating Scale (MARS), the 'participation' domain received the lowest score of 2.56 and the 'functional' domain received the highest score of 3.70. Conclusions: The CAMBRA-kids application is expected to be applied and used in the field of preschoolers' oral health care management, and to contribute to the prevention of dental caries of preschoolers by activating the dental caries management system using the application.

User experience of MV2000-MT (SU:M2)® as a Mechanical Ventilator: A Comparative Clinical Study on Usability, Safety, and Medical Staff Satisfaction

  • In the present study, we aimed to demonstrate that MV2000-MT(SU:M2)® (MV, MEK-ICS, Paju, Korea), a domestic ventilator, is not inferior in terms of usability, safety, and medical staff satisfaction as compared to Hamilton G5 (G5, Hamilton Medical AG, Rhäzuns, Switzerland). A total of 39 patients who applied MV (group M) or G5 (group H) were included in the study sample. Usability was evaluated by the following factors: the number of alarm errors, replacement requirement of breathing circuit, replacement requirement of a right-angle connector, and ease of ventilator weaning. For safety evaluation, the number of ventilator replacements due to malfunction of the ventilator was evaluated. Items for medical staff satisfaction survey were as follows: the number of MV and G5 uses, hardware, and software assessment. In the usability evaluation, the replacement requirement of the right-angle connector was lower in Group M than in Group H (mean ± standard deviation, Group M: 7.39 ± 6.72, Group H: 14.19 ± 10.24, p = 0.021); however, the evaluations of other parts were not significantly different between the two groups. The number of ventilator replacements due to a malfunction of the ventilator did not differ between two groups. The number of MV and G5 uses was 3.0 [3.0-4.0] and 10.0 [5.0-10.0] (median [interquartile range], p < 0.001). Overall, the mean medical staff satisfaction score of Hamilton G5 was higher than that of MV2000-MT(SU:M2)®. The usability of MV is comparable to that of G5. However, medical staff satisfaction with Hamilton G5 was higher than that with MV2000-MT(SU:M2)®, and this difference could be due to the difference in the number of uses. In order to improve the penetration rate of the domestic mechanical ventilator, it is necessary to find ways to increase familiarity of medical staff with domestic mechanical ventilators.

사용적합성 평가를 적용한 국산 범용인공호흡기의 위험요인 분석 (Analysis of Hazard Factors for Domestic General Purpose Ventilator using Usability Assessment)

  • The purpose of this study is to conduct a summative evaluation of the usability of a general-purpose ventilator to determine whether it can be used for its intended purpose in the intended environment by the intended user and to find possible errors in use. The importance of ventilators has increased due to the accelerated aging of the population and the impact of the pandemic. In addition, patients who require ventilators are often in critical condition, so even a small error in use can be fatal. Therefore, it is important to ensure that the ventilator has sufficient stability and can be used satisfactorily without inconvenience to the user. In this study, we conducted a usability test with 17 respiratory nurses with more than 3 years of experience using the ventilator. We analyzed the task success rate, satisfaction, and opinions of the intended users while going through a total of 17 scenarios. Satisfaction was captured through an ASQ questionnaire and subjective opinions were captured through a detailed opinion questionnaire. The results showed a high level of satisfaction with an average score of 6.3 for the use scenarios. Evaluators expressed satisfaction with the overall visibility and versatility of the features, but noted that improvements were needed for calibration tasks with low task success rates. As the calibration method is different from other equipment, it was suggested that specific explanations of the calibration method and the picture that appears when calibrating are needed, and that if relevant training is provided, the equipment can be used without problems. If the usability evaluation is not limited to securing efficiency and satisfaction from the intended users, but also continuously receives feedback from users to prepare for use in emergency environments such as pandemic situations, it will be very helpful to seize opportunities such as emergency authorization in future situations, and ultimately contribute to patient safety by reducing use errors.

텍스타일 터치센서를 활용한 스마트폰 제어 기능 재킷 개발 (Development of Smartphone Control Jacket Using Textile Touch Sensor)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop three functions for smartphones and PCs using a textile touch sensor in an everyday sports jacket and to present their usefulness; to this end, we have developed a mutual capacitive textile touch sensor and corresponding structure, and we have implemented three functions into a textile touch sensor jacket, of which we also conducted a usability evaluation. The jacket has a sensor on the wrist of the left sleeve and a device on the left arm. The sensor system can be divided into three main categories: a sensor acting as a switch, a circuit connecting the sensor and the device, and the device that acts as power control and system on/off. The functions are implemented in the texture touch sensor jacket in three modes: cell phone mode, music mode, and PPT presentation mode. We conducted an evaluation of each function in each mode, which indicated that all functions performed well without errors and that the switch had excellent operation for the number and intensity of touch. In terms of usability in a humid environment, the performance of touch functions was found to be equally implemented. In the temperature environment, neither high nor low temperatures caused issues with the functions. A wearing satisfaction assessment evaluated psychological satisfaction, clothing convenience, device convenience, device usability, and device effectiveness. This research jacket is thought to be desirable for the relatively bendable, flexible, and intimate sensor used on the clothing, and the circuit made of conductive fabric tape.

한국형 주 보호자용 노인우울 간이척도(KGDSI-15)의 신뢰도와 타당도 분석 (Validation of the Korean Version of the General Practitioner Assessment of Cognition)

  • Purpose: The study examined the psychometric properties of the Korean Geriatric Depression Scale Informant-15 (KGDSI-15), an instrument measuring geriatric depression through their primary caregivers. Methods: The participants were 370 Korean older adults $\geqq$65-years-of-age registered in a visiting health center in S city. The Korean version of Geriatric Depression Scale-Short Form (GDSSF-K) was used for comparison. Internal consistency measured tool reliability and Pearson correlation coefficient measured validity. One-way ANOVA was used to determine the clinical usability of the instrument: depression levels were classified as normal, mild depression, and severe using GDSSF-K, and the depression scores of these three groups were comparatively measured by KGDSI-15. Results: The Cronbach's alpha coefficient was .831. The correlation coefficient with GDSSF-K was r=.616 (p<.001). KGDSI-15 results showed the depression level of older adults with severe depression was highest followed by those with mild depression and normal. The group differences were also statistically significant, which indicated the clinical usability of the instrument. Conclusion: KGDSI-15 is suggested to be reliable and valid to measure the geriatric depression through the primary caregivers of older adult.

Preliminary Results-Nature as Metaphor : Innovative Visualization of Accounting Information with Lotus Plants

  • Learning accounting has always been a challenge for non-accounting students and managers. Understanding accounting information requires more than a numerical description of financial and income statements. Current accounting practice presents accounting reports in the form of tables with values or in two or three dimensional graphs generated by a spread sheet program. The present study proposes an alternative visualization with metaphor from nature as a learning device for novice users and managers. After surveying various kinds of plants, the lotus flower was chosen as an attractive analogy because every part of the plant from leaves to roots is usable and can have economic value. Moreover, lotus flowers, whether man-made or natural, can easily be part of a familiar, natural ecology representing both beauty and serenity. Results from online survey respondents (n = 220) showed that there was no significant difference on overall usability of the Lotus visualization between expert users and novice users. However, verbally-oriented users differed Significantly from visually-oriented users in their usability assessment, perceived usefulness, and intention to use the Lotus visualization.

Development of Digital Contents for ADHD Treatment Specialized for VR-based Children

  • This study aimed to develop a VR-based digital therapeutic intervention for the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD. The research combined medical data with virtual reality technology to develop an algorithm for ADHD diagnostic scales and implemented a VR-based digital therapeutic platform using a head-mounted display (HMD). This platform can be used for the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD in children and adolescents. Additionally, we four VR games were developed, including archery timing, Antarctic exploration, grocery shopping, and rhythm-based drumming(RBD), incorporating various psychiatric treatment techniques based on cognitive-behavioral therapy(CBT). To evaluate the usability of this digital therapeutic intervention, a group of experts specialized in counseling psychology participated in the study. The evaluations received highly positive feedback regarding the ability to access the system menu while wearing the HMD, the consistency of terminology used in menus and icons, the usage of actual size for 3D graphic elements, and the support for shortcut key functionality. The assessments also indicated that the games could improve attention, working memory, and impulse control, suggesting potential therapeutic effects for ADHD. This intervention could provide a daily treatment method for families experiencing financial constraints that limit hospital-based therapies, thereby reducing the burden.

Computational Thinking 개념 평가를 위한 스크래치 코드 분석 시스템 개발 (Development of Scratch Code Analysis System for Assessment about Concepts of Computational Thinking)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 Computational Thinking(CT) 교육에서의 학습자의 CT개념 평가를 지원하기 위한 스크래치 코드 분석 시스템을 개발하는 것이다. 최근 초중등교육에서 활발하게 활용되고 있는 교육용프로그래밍 언어인 스크래치는 이벤트 기반언어로 전체적인 프로젝트의 구조를 파악하기가 어렵게 되어 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 학습자들이 자신이 만든 프로젝트를 디버깅 할 때나 교사가 학습자의 코드를 보고 평가 및 피드백을 할 때, 활용할 수 있는 코드 분석 시스템을 개발하고 실제 사용성을 검증하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 스크래치 코드 분석 시스템은 SW 교육에서 디버깅과정을 촉진하거나 평가의 도구로 활용할 수 있다.

의과대학의 학습경험 중심 전문직업성 프로그램 운영 및 평가 (The Implementation and Evaluation of Learning Experience-Based Professionalism Program in Medical School)

  • 본 연구는 의과대학에서 학습자 주도의 학습경험중심의 전문직업성 프로그램을 개발하여 운영한 후 효과성과 사용성 평가를 통해 대학수준에서 학습경험 중심의 교육과정의 실제적 함의를 밝히고자 한다. 의과대학 1학년 74명의 학생들이 학생경험개발 모형에 기반하여 설계된 PDS1(Patient-Doctor-Society1): 전문직업성, 1주일 블록수업(총 30시간), 1학점 과목에 참여하였다. 학생들은 모두 6가지의 학습주제와 학습자원 및 지원도구를 제공받아 경험의 준비, 조직, 공유, 성찰, 평가로 구성된 학습활동 단계를 수행하였다. 교육의 효과성 평가는 24개 설문항목을 사전-사후 비교하였고, 사용성 평가는 학생대상의 만족도 설문 및 교수자 학생대상의 면담이 시행되었다. 전문직업성에 대한 학습자 자기평가 결과, 리더십과 자기 주도적 학습, 전문성에 대한 태도, 사회적 책무성 모두 학습 이전과 이후의 결과에 유의미한 차이가 확인되었다. 학생을 대상으로 하는 프로그램의 만족도는 항목별 3.58~3.78에 분포하였다. 교수자와 학습자 면담에서는 교육과정설계, 운영, 평가의 전 과정에서 실질적인 사용성을 확인하였다. 연구결과는 학습경험중심의 교육과정설계와 평가의 현장 적용 가능성에 대하여 실증적 타당성을 제시해주었다. 본 연구는 의과대학에서 학습자 주도의 학습경험 방식으로 전문직업성 교육프로그램을 개발하여 운영한 실증적 사례로써 함의가 있다.
