  • This study aims to organize the pharmacological component of native chicken(NC) by analyzing the bill presented in traditional medicine NC relevant literature. And the analyze the heterogeneity and the common prescription of chicken that a variety of traditional technologies to existing treatment books private data to organize information about the scientific verification. After the analysis by building a DB and want a prescription to traditional book, herbal medicine usability throughout the assessment of the special treatment provided the basis for further product and a variety of functional food development.   • This paper proposes an item based learning system using e-mail in order to motivate learners effectively and avoid the bottleneck problem under highly competitive access situations such as the traditional web based learning. The proposed system has th ree features as follows: first, through e-mail, a learner receives test items depending on his/her level, submit an answer sheet, and then identify an assessment with help messages. Secondly, on the web, an instructor easily constructs item database without any other tools and monitors the status of each learner by identifying the learners' record. Finally, an easy-to-use interaction mechanism enhances the inter-activity between learners and instructors, and the usability of Q&A(Question and Answer) service by incorporating e-mail into the web bulletin board.

Performance Evaluation of Hydrogen Separation and Generator for Hydrogen Water (수소수를 위한 수소분리 및 생성기 성능 평가)

  • In this paper, we optimized the structure of hydrogen water generator and assessed by developing a generator with dissolved hydrogen amount(1,000~1,200 ppb) of world-class level. Evaluation is divided into four types, such as dissolved hydrogen amount, pH, maximum pressure, redox potential, and it was evaluated for each of the targets. It was performed through the experiment of four in all five times and all of them show superiority results appearing in the target range. In addition, the assessment got 25/30 functionality, 17/20 maintainability, 26/30 usability, and 19/20 efficiency. In particular, we proved the validity of this study in high efficiency. We developed this hydrogen water generator system as possible to be substitution of water purifier.

Assessment of Readability and Appropriate Usability Based on the Product Labelling of Over-The-Counter Drugs in Korea (일반의약품 설명서의 이해도와 적정 사용가능성 평가)

  • A product labelling is one of key tools in ensuring that a patient uses drugs safely and effectively in self-care without professional support. This study aimed to explore the readability and comprehensibility of the information contained on two package inserts of medicines. Two package inserts were tested with first year college students. Fifty-one potential consumers underlined words they could not understand and answered 10 scenario questions. Any differences among groups with different characteristics were statistically tested. Secondly, the readability of two package inserts was assessed with comparison to the level of the 6th grade Korean textbooks. As results, more than 80% of participants properly replied to straightforward questions concerning indication, dosage, duplication, use in pregnancy and contraindication, and 73% about formulation. Less than half answered correctly in multiple choice questions about pediatric use (41%) and side effects (35%). Little discrepancy was observed in the comprehensibility between participants' characteristics. Drug inserts contained about 20% more professional-level words than 6th grade textbooks. In conclusion, Korean consumers may face challenges to understand drug information due to professional terminology and outdated expressions in the current package inserts. To secure safe and effective use of over-the-counter agents, greater efforts should be made to develop more consumer friendly labels. In the other hand, educational supports are required to prepare consumers in a proper level of knowledge for the safe use of drugs.

Designing a Mobile Application for Prevention of Sex Crimes for Single Women's Households (여성 1인 가구를 위한 성범죄 예방 모바일 어플리케이션 제안)

  • This study proposes a sex crime prevention application for single female households. After analyzing the current status of single-person households, crime status in Gimhae, and existing sex crime applications, 15 women in their 20s and 30s living alone were surveyed by users, including cultural probes and contextual inquiry. Insight obtained through user research using the service design tool confirmed that it has a positive effect on user satisfaction in the production of the application. Based on the results of usability assessment, it is a follow-up research task to propose and commercialize actual production outputs for the prevention of sex crimes against single-person household women by further developing the sex crime prevention mobile applications that are the output of this study.

Inter-rater·absolute Reliability and Concurrent Validity of Tinetti-gait Scale (Korean version) in Stroke Patients (뇌졸중 환자들의 한국판 Tinetti-보행 척도의 측정자간·절대적 신뢰도와 동시 타당도)

  • PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to investigate the inter-rater absolute reliability and the concurrent validity of the Tinetti-gait scale that was translated into Korean for chronic stroke patients. METHODS: Fifty-two patients with post-stroke participated in this study. Inter-rater reliability was analyzed by Intraclass Correlation Coefficient ($ICC_{3,1}$) and Kappa coefficient, and absolute reliability was analyzed by the Standard Error of Measurement (SEM), and the Minimal Detectable Change (MDC). Concurrent validity was analyzed by correlating between the Tinetti-gait scale and physical functions. The physical functions were measured by using the Dynamic Gait Index(DGI), 10m walking test(10WT), One Leg Standing Test of affected/non-affected side(OLST), Sit to Stand test(STS), (Fugl Meyer assessment of Lower Extremity(FM-LE). RESULTS: The inter-rater reliability of the Tinetti-gait scale was high; $ICC_{(3,1)}=.91$ (95% CI=.85~.95) (very reliable), the range of Kappa coefficient were .73~.92 (substantial~good). The inter-rater agreement of the each item in Tinetti-gait scale ranged from .74 to .92 (95 % CI=.59~.95) (reliable~very reliable). The SEM and MDC were .56 and 1.55, respectively. In the results of concurrent validity, there were moderate positive correlation between Tinetti-gait scale and DGI (r=.78), 10WT (r=.74), OLST (r=.65~.73), FM-LE (r=67). And there was moderate negative correlation between Tinetti-gait scale and STS (r=-79) (p<.01). CONCLUSION: The Tinetti-gait scale(Korean version) was a reliable and valid tool to measure gait ability in patients with chronic stroke. Thus, it could be a useful tool for examining a gait ability of post-stroke patients. Further study should be conducted to investigate the usability to predict fall risk of post-stroke patients of the Tinetti-gait scale.

A Study on Fare Estimation for Demand Responsive Transport (수요응답형교통체계 이용요금 가치 추정 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to estimate the appropriate Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) fare for bus users upon introduction of the system, which is to improve ridership on economically non-profitable routes and to conform to the mobility right of those living in presently non-serviced rural areas. For this, a stated preference (SP) survey was adopted to assess respondents' preferences regarding DRT introduction, while the contingent valuation method (CVM) was used to calculate their willingness to pay (WTP) for DRT services. The analysis results show that, compared to the existing bus services with a 1,000 won bus fare, the value of DRT is considered to be 38.85%, 31.03% and 30.12% higher in terms of overall assessment, usability and convenience, respectively. The results of this study are expected to facilitate the decision making aimed at setting the appropriate DRT fare and implementing a DRT system that meets sustainability requirements.

  • The assessment of maneuverability of a ship is very important from the view point of safety of human beings and of pollution of ocean. And, it is quite natural that every ship yard wants to have some tools with which they can build a ship with good maneuverability. But, maneuvarability of a ship is very subtle problem, and to calculate the exact maneuvering motion, lots of captive model tests must be carried out. Futhermore, in the initial design stage we can not make the scale model, because the lines of a ship is not fixed. In this paper, some approximate method to calculate the maneuvering motion of a ship, with the principal dimensions of hull, and propeller, rudder characteristics only, is studied. And, proposed approximate method is used to calculate the turning and zig-zag maneuver of several ships. The results of those calculations and the usability of the method are discussed.

  • This study focused on the fitting window structure provided by the virtual fitting service web page. We analyzed the current cases and identified the user's needs for the service through usability assessment, survey, and FGI experiments. As a result of the design, the fitting window of the existing web page was opened at the same time as the site was accessed to improve the hassle of using the icons due to their small size and poor visibility. In the case of fitting windows, the problem of information delivery was supplemented so that even the initial user could understand the fitting map of the existing method, and additional items needed for user propensity were provided so that the service could be used accurately and easily. As a result of this study, it can be used as a basic research material in future virtual fitting service studies and is expected to provide good implications to fashion marketers.

  • One of the biggest challenges that the software industry is facing today is to create highly efficient applications without affecting the quality of healthcare system software. The demand for the provision of software with high quality protection has seen a rapid increase in the software business market. Moreover, it is worthless to offer extremely user-friendly software applications with no ideal security. Therefore a need to find optimal solutions and bridge the difference between accessibility and protection by offering accessible software services for defense has become an imminent prerequisite. Several research endeavours on usable security assessments have been performed to fill the gap between functionality and security. In this context, several Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approaches have been implemented on different usability and security attributes so as to assess the usable-security of software systems. However, only a few specific studies are based on using the integrated approach of fuzzy Analytic Network Process (FANP) and Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) technique for assessing the significant usable-security of hospital management software. Therefore, in this research study, the authors have employed an integrated methodology of fuzzy logic, ANP and TOPSIS to estimate the usable - security of Hospital Management System Software. For the intended objective, the study has taken into account 5 usable-security factors at first tier and 16 sub-factors at second tier with 6 hospital management system softwares as alternative solutions. To measure the weights of parameters and their relation with each other, Fuzzy ANP is implemented. Thereafter, Fuzzy TOPSIS methodology was employed and the rating of alternatives was calculated on the foundation of the proximity to the positive ideal solution.
