환경공간정보를 활용한 도시녹지의 탄소흡수량 추정 -안산시를 대상으로- (Estimation of Carbon Sequestration in Urban Green Spaces Using Environmental Spatial Information - A case study of Ansan City-)

  • This study estimated the carbon sequestration from urban green spaces in Ansan City using environmental spatial information. We examined study results of carbon sequestration from existing urban green spaces, using a land cover map (level 3). In particular, the carbon sequestration of trees by land use and the IPCC Global default value were linked with the land cover map level 3. Domestic research showed that carbon storage in urban green spaces in Ansan City was 17,927.2 tC, and the annual carbon sequestration was calculated as 2,680.5 tC/yr. On the other hand, applying the IPCC Global Default value resulted in annual carbon sequestration of 5,287.8 tC/yr, which was 2,607.3 tC/yr more that the domestic research value. This resulted from difference in detailed methodologies such as background data, sample size for on-site investigation, and measurement of tree species. The study presented a consistent assessment method to assess the sequestration of carbon from municipal urban green spaces. Furthermore, we provided basic data that could be useful in urban green space policies.

NDVI를 활용한 도시 녹지 분석 및 도시공원 조류 종다양성 분석 모형 개발 (Analysis of Urban Green Areas using NDVI and Development of a Model to Analyze Bird Diversity in Urban Parks)

  • Urban parks are important bird habitat in cities. Various studies have evaluated the habitat function of urban parks focused on field surveys. In this study, we performed applicability of NDVI obtained from Landsat 8 OLI image as a factor for spatial planning considered bird diversity. This study was classified with green boundary into three groups using NDVI's value. Environmental variables were calculated by the green area ratio of the surrounding area from 100m to 500m at each groups. The 20 environmental variables such as park area, park shape index, canopy of tree, etc. were derived, the regression analysis was performed as a dependent variable for the bird diversity of urban parks. As a result, the park area and the green area ratio of Group 3, classified high NDVI, within the 100m buffer were adopted as the variables in the regression model. In other words, it was confirmed that as the park becomes larger, the distribution of key green areas within a radius of 100m of the parks becomes higher, the diversity of bird species has increased. It was appropriate to use satellite image, NDVI to analyze species diversity in urban area.

마을형 단독주택지의 물리적 특성과 주거만족도에 관한 연구 -대구광역시 단독주택지를 중심으로- (A Study on the Physical Characteristics and Residential Satisfaction of the Small Urban Village Consist of Detached Houses)

  • The purpose of this study is to analysis the environmental characteristics in the small urban village consist of the detached houses. Three detached houses with the different urban structure and physical characteristics are selected, we survey the physical characteristics and investigate the residential satisfaction. As a result of the study, (1) A loop street pattern is more desirable for a community than a grid pattern, (2) The wall of the residential boundary makes residents get the sense of territory and community, and it facilitates no wall or tree fence of the each detached house. (3) The community spaces have an effect up on the sense of community. (4) It is desirable that the residents participate in a management of the detached housing area.

  • In this paper, we construct a prototype model for city data prediction by using time series data of floating population, and use machine learning to analyze urban data of complex structure. A correlation prediction model was constructed using three of the 10 data (total flow population, male flow population, and Monday flow population), and the result was compared with the actual data. The results of the accuracy were evaluated. The results of this study show that the predicted model of the floating population predicts the correlation between the predicted floating population and the current state of commerce. It is expected that it will help efficient and objective design in the planning stages of architecture, landscape, and urban areas such as tree environment design and layout of trails. Also, it is expected that the dynamic population prediction using multivariate time series data and collected location data will be able to perform integrated simulation with time series data of various fields.

인천시 청량산의 생태적 특성과 식생구조의 변화 (Ecological Characteristics and Changes in Plant Community Structure in Mt. Cheongryang, Incheon)

  • 본 연구는 인천광역시 청량산의 생태적 특성과 식생구조의 변화를 분석하여 도시림의 건강성 회복 및 식생 보전을 위한 관리방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 청량산의 신갈나무는 참나무시들음병 방제로 세력이 감소하였고, 때죽나무와 팥배나무의 세력은 확대되었다. 천이경향은 대부분 현상태를 유지할 것으로 판단되며, 향후 소나무군집은 산벚나무군집으로, 신갈나무군집은 졸참나무군집으로 변화 잠재성이 있었다. 리기다소나무림은 산벚나무군집으로, 아까시나무림은 졸참나무군집으로 변화 가능성은 있으나, 천이의 진행이 양호하지 않은 것으로 판단되었다. 토성은 대부분 사양토(sandy loam) 또는 양질사토(loamy sand)였으며, 토양 pH는 4.26~4.86이었고, 평균 4.59이었다. 유기물함량(O.M)은 2.18~9.60%이었고, 평균 4.33%이었다. 청량산의 종다양성 증진을 위해서는 토양산성화 방지, 자생수종을 선정하여 조림하고, 도시화 영향에 의해 출현하는 수종의 지나친 세력 확대 방지, 하층식생과 호습성 수종 보호, 다층구조의 숲 유도 관리를 제시하였다.

도시숲과 가로수가 대기 흐름과 기온에 미치는 영향에 관한 수치 연구 (A Numerical Study on the Effects of Urban Forest and Street Tree on Air Flow and Temperature)

  • 본 연구는 대구 국채보상운동기념 공원 일대를 대상으로 수목이 주변 흐름과 기온에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 이를 위하여, 전산유체역학(computational fluid dynamics, CFD) 모델에 수목의 항력 효과와 냉각 효과를 반영하였고 현장 측정 결과와 비교하였다. 기상 유입 경계 조건은 기상청 국지예보모델(local data assimilation and prediction system, LDAPS) 자료를 사용하였다. 수목 유무에 따른 대기 흐름과 기온 분포를 조사하기 위하여, 수목이 존재하는 현재 상태와 수목이 존재하지 않는다고 가정한 상황에 대하여 수치 실험을 수행하였다. 수목이 없는 경우, 공원 내부에서는 장애물 영향이 작아 강한 풍속과 단조로운 흐름이 형성되었다. 기온은 풍속에 반비례하여 풍속이 강한(약한) 지역에서는 낮게(높게) 모의되었다. 반면, 수목이 존재하는 경우, 수목 항력(냉각) 효과는 식재 밀도가 높은 공원 내부의 풍속(기온)을 40 (5)% 이상 감소시켰고 공원 외부 지역까지 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 공원 내부에는 매우 복잡한 흐름이 형성된다. 도로변 근처에서도 가로수에 의해 풍속과 기온이 전체적으로 감소하지만, 수목에 의한 흐름 패턴 변화로 인해 오히려 풍속과 기온이 증가하는 지역도 발생했다. 수목 냉각 효과에 의한 기온 감소는 주간에는 4-6%였지만, 야간에는 1% 미만으로 미비했다. 수목 항력 효과에 의한 풍속 감소는 주·야간 모두 40% 이상 크게 나타났다.

여름철 도로 방향과 가로수 식재 방식에 의한 인간 열환경 개선효과 분석 (Analysis of the effect of improving human thermal environment by road directions and street tree planting patterns in summer)

  • 본 연구는 서울시에서 도로 방향과 가로수 식재형태가 여름철 도시 열환경에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 최적의 식재방식을 찾는 것을 목표로 하였다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 프로그램 ENVI-met을 이용하여, 도로 4방향과 가로수 식재형태에 따라 68가지 시나리오를 수행하였다. 그 결과, 수목 식재 시 기온, 평균복사온도, 인간 열환경지수가 개선되는 것으로 나타났다. 평균복사온도의 감소는 도로와 접한 건물에 의한 태양 복사에너지 차단과 수목의 그늘효과에 기인하였으며, 도로방향은 풍속 감소에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 모든 시나리오에서 낮은 수고(6m), 넓은 수관폭(9m), 높은 엽면적 지수(3.0), 좁은 식재간격(8m)일 때 가장 큰 열환경 개선효과를 보였다. 도로 방향은 동-서 방향의 북측 보도에서 열환경이 가장 크게 개선되었다. 본 연구는 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 이용해 현실도시공간과의 차이를 감안해야 하고, 현장 실측과 더 많은 변수 고려를 통한 추가연구가 필요하다.

도시공원 및 주변환경의 특성이 도시공간의 온도저감에 미치는 영향 (Heat Mitigation Effects of Urban Space based on the Characteristics of Parks and their Surrounding Environment)

  • In order to improve the urban thermal environment, efforts are being made to increase green areas in cities that include park construction, planting, and green roofing. Among these efforts, urban parks play an important role not only in improving the urban thermal environment, but also in terms of ecosystem services (serving as resting places for citizens, providing cleaner air quality, reducing noise, etc.). Therefore, the purpose of this study is to suggest planning and management guidelines for urban parks that are effective in improving the thermal environment, by analyzing the urban surface temperature reduction performance of urban parks. To do this, first, land surface temperature was calculated by using Landsat 8 images. Second, the PCI (Park Cool Island) index was calculated to identify the temperature reduction performance of urban parks. Third, the characteristics of parks (area, shape, vegetation) and the surrounding spatial characteristics (land cover, building-related variables, etc.) were identified. Finally, the relationship between the PCI indices (PCI scale, PCI effect, PCI intensity) and the characteristics of the parks and their surroundings were analyzed. The results revealed that the parks consisting of a larger area, simple shape, and higher tree coverage ratio had increased PCI performance, and were advantageous for improving the urban thermal environment. Meanwhile, PCI performance was found to have decreased in areas with a higher impermeable area ratio and building coverage ratio. The outcomes of this study can be used to identify priority areas for planning and management of urban parks and can also be utilized as planning and management guidelines for improving urban thermal environment.

보행자 전용도로의 이용자 경관만족 요인분석 -분당 신도시를 중심으로- (The Analysis of User's Degree on Landscape Satisfaction Factors for Pedestrian Road -Case Study of Bun-Dang New Town-)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate factors and variables which have significant effects on landscape satisfaction of urban pedestrian road in Bun-dang new town and to suggest basic information for urban pedestrian road design. These works consist of two phase. First, we tested the Hye-Cheon college students' degree of landscape satisfaction for 37 spots of urban pedestrian road and then selected 10 sports slide by the Sturges' formula. Second, we analysed factors and variables on landscape satisfaction of urban pedestrian road using the semantic differential scale method and then processed using descriptive analysis, factor analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The major findings of this study can be summarized as follows; 1) The difference of landscape adjectives between the highest score of landscape satisfaction slide and the lowest score landscape satisfaction slide were diversity of vegetation, plenty of the shade of a tree, naturalness and cleanness. 2) Diversity of vegetation, width of road, freedom of danger and diversity of environment can be significant variables of major effects on landscape satisfaction of urban pedestrian road by using the multiple linear regression analysis. 3) Factors covering the landscape satisfaction of urban pedestrian road have been found to be Environment of urban pedestrian road and Constitution of urban pedestrian road. By using the Varimaxs' rotation factor analysis for the number of factors' cumulative percentage has been obtained as 64%. 4) Environment of urban pedestrian road and Constitution of urban pedestrian road can be significant factors of major effects on landscape satisfaction of urban pedestrian road by using the multiple linear regression analysis. In conclusion, the landscape satisfaction factors and variables of urban pedestrian road need to be considered in plan or design the urban pedestrian road.

도시 녹지 가치 평가를 위한 탄소 흡수량 추정 - 서울시를 대상으로 - (Estimation of Carbon Uptake for Urban Green Space: A Case of Seoul)

  • Urban green space is often at the centre of the debate on urban substantiality because it provides functions of space, e.g. for wildlife, recreation, growing vegetables, psychological wellbeing, social interaction, etc. Traditionally, the various functions of urban green spaces clearly show that green spaces contain important values that contribute to the overall quality of urban life. After Kyoto protocol, it has becoming important to more accurately evaluate carbon uptake by urban green space. Many studies have analyzed the benefits, costs, and carbon storage capacity associated with urban green space. These studies have been limited by a lack of research on urban tree biomass and carbon uptake by soil, such that estimates of carbon storage in urban systems. This study calculate more accurately the amount of carbon uptake by urban green space. This study also complement the existing methods to estimate the urban green space carbon uptake. It has been studied how to evaluate carbon uptake function of urban green space. The surface area of urban green space increased 5% by complemented method and carbon uptake is also increased. Based on this result, the carbon uptake per capita was analysed and compared to the area of carbon uptake. And this study discussed the reasons for the differences between the new and earlier estimates, as well as implications for our understanding of the global carbon cycle. In conclusion, these results could contribute as preliminary data to policy makers when climate change adaptation strategy is established.
